@Abefroeman I do appreciate all the work you put into gathering this information.

Hmm, I do want to keep canon Houses where they are for reasons already stated, but there is no reason a house that owns more than one holding can't have one re partitioned. If Aerion does manage to snag some land, why not give him the Bramsfort or Byford? I can't find those lands in a search so, it should be a simple matter to say land was re partitioned for him. Assuming he earns the boon of course. Would that work alright?

@Greenie All I can say is, keep playing the game to find out, haha

@MrDidact Oh, I missed your question about Mychel. He's definitely a political character, not an adventurer.

@MrDidact The only problem with the two regions mentioned by you specifically would require the removal of the lore houses currently there. House Mallery at Byford, and House Chelsted at Bramsfort. (Chelsted may have been wiped out when Aerys II had it's lord executed, much in the same manner as House's Darklyn and Hollard, but I am going to error on the side of it probably only being just the Lord Chelsted, and not his family. {westeros.org/Citadel/Heraldry/Entry/Ho..})

The best location I can think of without displacing a current family would be Duskendale/Hollard Hall. The Rykker's, who've only become prominent since the Defiance of Duskendale were given the Lordship of both those regions, with both settlements and respective lands sacked and ravaged by Tywin Lannister at the behest of King Aerys II. And who knows if they may have displeased the current rulers if they stayed loyal to the Iron Throne/Cersei.

((Or one of the lands owned by the Tully's, but I doubt the feasibility of that due to if/when a player wants to be House Tully, to find out that they have one less piece of land.))

Aerion will just have to accept what he can earn, and then move on from there. I'd prefer Duskendale, as it would most likely be the larger of the two settlements, but a castle and town is a castle and a town. The lore specifically mentioned that Hollard Hall was hit harder of the two settlements/castles/regions. It the CK2 mod it has since been rebuilt, but your call. I will let the roleplay take me wherever it goes.

I am working on my post, and hope to have it out sooner rather than later.

@MrDidact Also, some food for thought, is to have House Rykker helping the Stepstone rebels, by allowing them safe harbor to make their little visit to you. I would assume you would have it so no unregistered vessels would be able to make port at King's Landing, and I'd assume that the Stepstoners themselves would want to get through customs unchecked, which could give precedence to the idea of having inside help. A severed head isn't exactly something you carry about freely. But anyhow, my brain must divert to writing my post, I've been procrastinating.

Sorry for the total lack of responses/reactions to anyone, I've been AFK and have only just gotten access to a laptop. From here, I'm gonna try and run a response/post, and are up for collabs, though I am really sporadic till Monday evening GMT. Sorry!

@Celeste That's just fine, there will be plenty of opportunities for intrigue as well.

@Abefroeman Well you are right about certain aspects of the Stepstoner plans. Again, your attention to detail is astounding, and I will certainly take all that's been said into account.

I will say though that we're not a civilization simulation of Westeros :P And when it comes to county lines, and specific holdings on a map, I think we can be a bit more liberal than a video game. When it comes to territories and holdings, the books and tv show are very rarely specific about a holding's place on the map and how it fits in with other territories. I doubt we'll ever have enough players were border lines will necessarily be an issue, and I'm sure there's hundreds of Houses the books don't cover, which leaves plenty of blank spots on the map. The CK2 game, while detailed, is using a lot of guess work when it comes to territories as far as I can tell. So, I think if Aerion ever does get a new castle, we can get a general idea of it's location and it's properties, but we need not have to nail down all of the other details if that makes sense.

But seriously, I was impressed by all the thought and research you put into this.

@kingkonrad No worries, as long as I know you're still alive and interested in playing, it's all fine.

@MrDidactSorry if I am being annoying. Just wanted to cover all the bases. As always, will defer to you as GM, and you lead the way and set the tone/rules.

Anyhow, may be writing the rest of my post from the Hospital, the wife might be going into labor. Fingers crossed that everything goes well.

Awww.... don't get an urge and call the baby Rhaegar/Rhaenyra. Or do! :D Best of luck! (also, on a weird note...my birthday is today :P )

I'm looking forward to the next post to come, covers Alerie being flirty, Ellion being flirty (ish?), and Willas and Tyrion having top-quality wine tasting upper class quaffing banter. Splendid.

@kingkonrad I'm sure there's a term for that right? People born on the same day who aren't twins?

@Abefroeman No you're not annoying at all, I actually appreciate how well-reasoned your points are and your thoroughness.

Wow, best of luck to you and your wife! Don't worry about posting man, it's a big day for you!

Sorry I never finished up my post this weekend. It should be done by tomorrow, though I was wondering if a collab post would be better.

@MrDidact Posted. Hope I didn't overstep any boundaries. And I will finish the Band of Seven CS's soon, I promise.

@kingkonrad Happy birthday. I want to collab with you for our conversation between Ser Aerion and Lord Willas Tyrell, if you'd allow it. And if Alerie is still there, to say hello to her as well.

Wife is still at home, though I am guess she will be giving birth within the next few days. ((Contractions an hour apart!!! Yey. Super excited to be a dad.))

I will fix it in a few hours. My apologies. I had assumed that the Riverlanders have a particular hatred for House Clegane. Was going off the books depiction of House Frey. Many apologies, it will be fixed though.

@Abefroeman no problem, The Frey's are just even more hated then the Clegane's who got along well with the Frey's. If anything we'd be more likely to come in to help her. The kingdom's hate the Frey's so much I brought five guys to prevent them all being executed as an "attacking" army lol

@Greenie Always here to help!

@Abefroeman It was a great post, a real joy to read. I got to say it should be pretty interesting when Lyvia meets Sandor. And I like the idea of Beric having a son. If you'd allow me, I might want to puppet him as an NPC occasionally. If not Freys, you could put in Pipers. There are a lot of them, and they're Tully groupies. It does make sense why the River knights would hate a Clegane so much though.

Wow, I'm happy for you man, wish you and your family the best!

@Masterkeun I don't know if the Cleganes and Freys got on very well, but they'd both be in the category of school outcasts lol.

Side note, I was not expecting Visenya to get so much male attention. She's practically a gender-flipped young Robert Baratheon at this point haha.
