Christine’s trend is definitely girly girl and materialistic. In her closet, you’ll find the latest fashion wear along with heels or flats and purses to match every single outfit. She never wears anything twice unless she really has to. She is of Korean descent and her face along with her skin complexion shows it. She has long, thick and raven colored locks of hair that cascade down to the middle of her back. She has chestnut brown colored eyes. Christine has an olive tint to her skin and even though being on the beach almost constantly, it seems like she doesn’t tan, at all. Christine is a very intelligent person and always looking for the good inside of everyone. She has been known to seek out the good person that she knows that everyone can be. Christine's mind is always churning with ideas, whether creative or downright random. She never seizes to an opportunity to share or write down her ideas. She is also a very adventurous person, always studying for new places to see and new things to do. As the old saying goes, Christine will try anything at least once - No matter what it is.

But of course, like every other human being, she does have her flaws, too. Though she may be emotional, at times, Christine is very direct and straightforward, not one to hold her tongue for anybody. She may seem cute and cuddly but make her mad or get on her bad side then she will definitely make you regret it. Overall, Christine is a great person to be around and she likes meeting new people and making new friends. She is very approachable, well sometimes and will always welcome someone with a smile until she knows their purpose or worth.

H I S T O R Y

Christine was born on a beautiful fall day to two wonderful parents, Ken and Anna Chu. She was born at the Seoul hospital, which is also the capital of Korea, as well. Growing up, whatever she wanted, she got even as a little girl. Her parents spoiled her to the T. She honestly liked being spoiled but at the same time, hated it as well. Her parents always wanted to see Christine do something with her life, no matter what it was as long as she was happy. Christine grew up in Seoul, Korea until the age of four when her mother got a promotion at work but the job was only available within the United States. Of course, it meant more money for her and the family so her father agreed that she should accept the offer and when she did, they were on the next flight out of Korea and to the United States - California, to be exact.

A few years went on and she rose to the top of Beverly Hills food chain as the confident person everyone perceived her out to be. Her life became a bit easier that way as she hated that she had to change her complete attitude around just to make friends but she had to do what she had to do. Her mother was quickly rising in the ranks at her job as well while her father stayed at home, watching over her and even training her in Martial Arts, something she loves till this very day. Her father showed her everything he knew, even how to meditate and clear her mind, which is something she did periodically.

Moving forward to high school now, Christine had finally be accepted into the Beverly Hills lifestyle fully even though she had retired her recent status to someone else. She was much happier within the lifestyle now and even made a few more friends to join her clique. Though now that she was in high school, she had to seriously think about her future and where she was heading from that magic moment - Graduation. She joined the Drama Club and Photography Club and became an instant sensation due to her ability to take magnificent pictures and even act the way the teacher wanted to bring the role to life. She even started writing her own criticism for the plays and showing it to the drama teacher, who loved what she wrote about the shows since it was the truth. Christine was granted a critic blog with the school newspaper, which is an offer she could not refuse and people raved on and on about her writings from the drama club.

As high school was approaching to a close, Christine's parents made sure she sent in a ton of college applications. Of course, with her 3.8 GPA and 26 score on the ACT, she was likely to get accepted anywhere but the one college that stuck out to her was Miami University as she toured the campus before even deciding on it. She was impressed with the campus lifestyle and even what the college had to offer its students. She didn't really want to join a sorority when she toured the college because they all looked like stuck up snobs, in her own personal opinion though. But after a whole two years in college, Christine decided to take a break and decided to work though while still staying in Miami. She got hired at a bar and grill restaurant and still works there till this day.

A few weeks after her last day at Miami University, she heard rumors of the real world production crew being in town and decided to submit an application for the series. Of course, she has seen the show when she was growing up and always wanted to be apart of it so she took this opportunity to do so. She was called for an interview and she thought it was one of her friends joking with her at first but once she found out it was real, she was so stoked and couldn't contain her excitement anymore. Christine stood in line for hours and went the line grew shorter and shorter, she was getting even nervous and started to have second thoughts. When her name was called next, she hesitated and almost missed her chance to be on the show but she went in and the crew seemed to love her energy. She was called back and went through another interview process and she was cast on the spot. Excited and even more nervous than before, she told a few friends though not her parents because they wouldn't have really carried, she immediately went out and brought some new clothes for the show.

Ambrose has a slender figure, and stands at a mere 5'5'' and has a sort of a baby face. However everything on him is a lean muscle, toned from years of track team and regular running. His skin is a tawny brown, with deep gold undertones. He doesn't have the best posture though, and is often slouched in attempt appear smaller and be less noticeable in general. Ambrose has a pair of deep hazel eyes, framed with dark thick lashes. His hair is a deep black with soft curls that rest on his forehead. His skin splattered with dark freckles, across his cheeks and back, and he has several small scars on his upper thighs as well as a couple deep, ugly scars on his torso.

The young man has no tattoos, although he has a couple in mind he wants to get someday. But he does sport a small septum piercing, other then that, Ambrose is pretty bare in terms of body modifications. He tends to wear monotone clothes, mostly black and grey with only pastel colors like mint green occasionally. Personality:

The first impression Ambrose makes on people, is a small guy who seems timid and socially uncomfortable. And this is true for the most part. Ambrose naturally shies away from the spot-light and likes instead to observe people from a distance (one of his favorite past times is people watching). He is a naturally anxious and cautious person, leading him to be un-trusting and suspicious of other people's motives. Most people who speak to him for the first time are met a with a guarded and tense conversation. Yet despite this Ambrose is more a follower and is easily pressured into activities he would't have otherwise done himself. He is non-confrontational and his goal is to keep the peace which is why he is easily influenced.

Because of his introversion, Ambrose is more focused on his own pursuits instead of relationships, like painting and photography. Both of which are passions he hopes to turn into a career someday. He is incredibly invested in the arts, but he is too afraid to quit his day job for a full-time career as an artist. He spends almost all of his free time painting, and has even had a couple successful art shows. Yet overall, Ambrose is still naive and unsure of how to further his skills and network successfully to make his break into the industry.

Despite his initial prickly exterior, Ambrose is quite affectionate to the ones who have earned his trust. A little emotionally needy, he is eager to please those have captured his affections. Ambrose has the habit of putting others before him, often neglecting himself for days on end. Yet romantic partners of Ambrose are disappointed with someone who is afraid of both emotional intimacy and commitment.

Ambrose also has an unexpected wild side, this is something he tries to hide the most as it has gotten him into many sticky situations. It really only comes out with drinking or anything else like that. When he is like this, he is more willing to take risks and tell people how he really feels. This is probably when he is at his funniest, sarcastic and even a bit flirty.

Background:

Ambrose grew up in a cramped apartment, in the inner city that was wracked with poverty and crime. It was a daily part of his environment, to be unsure of if he would get dinner, and if he would even be safe considering the criminal activity. An only child with neglectful parents with a father who took his anger out on his family and a mother who drowned her sorrows with alcohol. They weren't really completely evil people, but they shouldn't have been parents. Ambrose had to grow up on his own, and his only escape from reality was through the arts.

But as he grew to adolescence, he became painfully aware of the expectations around him. To have a reliable job, to be tough and masculine, and so on. This, combined with involvement with the "bad kids", Ambrose fell down a slippery slope of petty crime. Eager to prove himself among his peers, the teenager began to deal drugs and even took part in a few (unarmed) robberies. He never had the intention to hurt people, and viewed it as a way to get cash for food and other basic essentials. But Ambrose also began nursing a drug addiction, thanks to easy access and pressure from his "friends".

Ambrose barely graduated from high school, and with rapidly deteriorating health, he soon realized he needed to take a good hard look at himself. He was a shell of the person he used to be, malnourished and a lost purpose in life. Ambrose knew he didn't want this life, and he knew he didn't want this life. So one day, he just got up and left. He forced himself to go cold turkey, he forced himself to face horrible withdrawals and cut ties with everyone from his old life. To them, Ambrose was now dead. He moved to a small town in Michigan and landed a job in a entry-level position in a florist shop. The owner noticed his hard-work and eye for design and with training, Ambrose was promoted to a florist. He has now worked there for a year, and has also been sober for a year.

Ambrose auditioned for The Real World as sort of a joke, he never really thought he would get past the initial application. He was pretty surprised when he got the call for further interviews. Yet he still held the belief he wouldn't get past this stage either, so he was actually semi-relaxed during the interviews. It was only when he got the call, actually offering him a place on the show did reality sink in. Ambrose was afraid, what if they dug up things from his past? What if he went down in reality TV history as the most annoying guy ever? Anxieties filled his head, so many things could go wrong for him. But eventually he decided it was too big of an opportunity to pass up, and Ambrose decided to accept the role.

"Honestly, I didn't think the two of us would get along at first." Ambrose coughed and laughed nervously. "Not that I thought bad of her! I just don't usually make friends with the girly types..." He paused and smiled genuinely at the camera, "But I like that she is straight forward. No mind games with her." The young man nodded resolutely, for once he felt like he actually articulated how he felt without blundering too badly.

Ambrose at first, (like he does with everyone) avoided any unneeded interaction with Christine. But Chu just had a warm quality to her, she was a comforting force. Usually uptight and on edge, Ambrose was able to slightly relax around Christrine. He likes that he knows where she stands on things and has an open-mind. A casual friend that Ambrose knows he could share a fun night with.

Ambrose glances from the camera, eyes examining the tile on the floor. "She's fine I guess?" His voice barely loud enough for the microphone to catch it, "I haven't really gotten a chance to talk to her, and I'm not sure she even wants to." He shrugged his shoulders lightly. Neither of them seemed to be on the same schedule, and if they were in the same room, the more outgoing people took up the space. But Ambrose was fine with that, it was less stressful for him to simply watch Ashanti and observe her behavior.

Despite Ambrose playing it off, he did hold Ashanti in high regard. He had noticed the similarities between them. The quietness, and an understanding on how a hard life in the city is actually like. And as a bonus, Ashanti was not obnoxiously loud and was the more laid-back type. Still though, the two never got together to actually speak. But Ambrose is fine with a distant respect with each other, and has no plans on changing that yet.

Ambrose clamped shut at the prompt, staring disapprovingly at the floor. Finally he mumbled out an answer,"Not my type." He lied, and Ambrose was pretty sure he wasn't doing it well. He was full aware this kind of thing was part of the show, but talking about his romantic business was just uncomfortable for him.

It was true for him at first though, Caleb was loud and seemed to take up the whole room wherever he was. Both things that are sure ways to drive Ambrose away. Ambrose never really understood why the guy zeroed in on him, and he was incredibly guarded at first. But Caleb was persistent and gentle with him. And goddamn, that smile was infectious. So yeah, Ambrose thought he was hot, but he has no intentions of making that known to anyone.

"I thought she was a little scary at first." Ambrose admits with a forced smile that did look more like a grimace. He was always forcing himself to smile on the interviews. God his cheeks hurt, and he was pretty sure he was doing a terrible job at it too. "But I've seen her interact with people now, and she seems nice?"

Ambrose sees Ally as a friendly person, easy to befriend. But he still trends carefully around her. He hasn't really been given any reason to trust her and thus keeps his distance from the woman.

Okay, Ambrose knew Lily must be a nice person. But being an introvert, he naturally steered clear of the more upbeat and bubbly types. It wasn't anything personal, but he only saw Lily as a source of social anxiety at this point. Now he just tiptoes around her, avoiding forced interaction. They could perhaps enjoy each others company if Ambrose wasn't so naturally driven away from her.

The paintbrush paused, hovering just before the canvas. He cast a quick glance over his shoulder, registering Spoons curled up on the armchair with a book. Ambrose was momentarily taken back from the compliment. Ah but of course, there is the little jab of an insult. But this time, it drew a soft laugh from Ambrose, "And I'm sure you would know all about modern art, hm?" He said with a small snort as he turned his attention back to his work.

Ambrose and Spoons really got off on the wrong foot. He took Spoon's type of humor personally, thinking at first that Spoons really did dislike him. Yet Ambrose soon started to notice the little things Spoons would do for him. And the time they spent at night was filled with comfortable silences or relaxed conversations that gave Ambrose insight on Spoons. He can see the some of the same difficulties they go through and it helped the pair bond over the short time spent getting to know each other.

Ambrose was startled to see Addison pad quietly into the kitchen. This was the second time they bumped into each other during the early hours. And from the mirrored eyes bags on the both of them, Ambrose knew neither of them had slept a wink. "Still hard at work huh?" He smiled softly, maybe she wasn't so bad after all.

Ambrose had a certain distaste for Addison Mills. She held herself in such a way that made him feel inferior. It was intimidating, but underneath the dislike, Ambrose respected her ambition and her genius. But during the days of them moving into their new home, Ambrose found himself bumping into Addie several times. It was during these times Ambrose started to gain insight on her. Small interactions bloomed into a mutual understanding of each other. And Ambrose soon came to understand they weren't so different after all. But their friendship is rather... begrudging, and often goes unnoticed by the other roommates.

Shawn stands at a mere five feet, two inches tall. She has curves in all the right places; her waist is slim and her hips wide. Her muscles are well defined and toned, however, as a result of weekly strenuous physical activity. Her clear, glowing skin is the color of cinnamon, and her curly black hair falls just below her shoulders. She prefers to keep her hair in a braided protective style, allowing her hair to grow. There is a dull scar on her left eyebrow, which she tends to cover up with makeup.

Her eyes are large and almond shaped, the brown of the iris so dark that it almost appears to be black. Her eyes are fringed with long, thick lashes. She sometimes wears thick, black rimmed glasses solely because she thinks they complement her well. Shawn is a seemingly calm and sweet girl, yet is by no means a pushover. She can very much take care of herself, but is smart enough to know when to pick a fight and when to let something go. She is someone who isn't weighed down by the troubles of everyday life, is not restricted by other people's opinions, and is always herself regardless of the situation. She craves adventure, thrills, and new things. Shawn is also very observant, and tends to notice things about her surroundings that others may not. It's very easy for her to read and/or figure out other people.

Having grown up with a large number of male friends and cousins, Shawn considers herself to be a bit of a "Tomboy." She'd much rather spend her time playing basketball or chilling with the guys than hanging out with girlfriends. Although Shawn prefers to keep to herself and stay quiet, when in a confident mood, she can be very charismatic and outgoing.

Shawn is confident in herself and her actions, often to a fault. She is very opinionated, has trouble asking for help, and hates admitting when she's wrong. Background:

Shawn was born in Brooklyn, NY. There she was raised by her single mother, Jasmine Howard, and her Aunt Tina. Her father, Terrell, left the picture before Shawn was born. Although the family lived on the "wrong side of the tracks," Shawn's guardians always worked their hardest to provide for their little girl. While her mother was working during the day as a waitress, her Aunt was working all night as a security guard. With their combined income, the family managed to pay the rent of their small, two bedroom apartment in full each month without the help of any other family members.

Shawn had a seemingly normal childhood. She had a nice handful of friends, always did her best in school, and even joined a basketball team during the Summers to keep herself in shape. By her Senior year in high school, Shawn was the star point guard of the girls' basketball team, had a 4.0 GPA, and had a pretty promising future. That is, until she met Terrance.

Terrance was your usual high school burnout, the boy who everyone knew was going to end up either working at Taco Bell, in prison, or dead by the time he was twenty-one. She met him at a party, and the two of them instantly bonded over their same tastes in music. Pretty soon, Shawn found herself cutting class, smoking weed, and getting into more trouble than ever before. Though their relationship was strictly platonic, Shawn could easily say that Terrance brought out the best and worst of her. It was with him that she realized how much she loved creating art or singing more than she enjoyed playing basketball. It was with him that she remembered what it was like to let loose and have fun again.

Against her mother and aunt's wishes, Shawn decided not to accept a Basketball scholarship to NYU. Instead, after she graduated high school, she got a job at a local club bussing tables. After taking a few classes, she eventually worked her way up to bartending. Every now and then she'll perform at the club with Terrance and his band in order to make some extra cash. She has not spoken to her family since she was eighteen.

It took a great deal of convincing for Shawn to finally audition for The Real World. Of course, being the laid-back, low-key person that she was, she wasn't so sure that she was ready for all of the drama. She was, however, eager to go on a new "adventure." Both Terrance and Shawn auditioned for the show. During the interview process, everything just sort of flowed for Shawn; she was one-hundred percent herself. She was very surprised once she got news that she'd been chosen to join the show and Terrance hadn't.

Although their arguments about what music to play in the lounge is never ending, the two of them seem to be casual friends.

To say that they get along is to say oil and water mixes. Casimir hasn't even given him a chance. It was like they walked into the room and saw each other and Casimir immediately blacklisted him. The only reason they're ever seen in the same room is if it's a house get together or something similar. Caleb doesn't know why Casimir doesn't like him, but he's having too much fun to care. As long as he doesn't say anything out of the way, Caleb is fine, but he does wonder what crawled up Casimir's ass for him to always cold shoulder him.

He stared into the camera and sighed. A smile crept onto his face. "I seriously have a crush on him." He admited though it was crazy for him to do so. Just thinking of the consequences made him realize that he should've just given them a bland truth, now he'd armed them with serious ammunition. It was too late to backtrack now. "When I'm around him I can't stop smiling. I don't know what it is about him. Like I know he'd probably never tell me how he feels, but it is what it is."

When he first laid eyes on Ambrose, Caleb was intrigued. Ambrose was cold at first, but It was only after talking to him and hanging with him a bit that his feelings started to develop. Ambrose is his complete opposite and it took him by surprise when the feelings started. He loves watching Ambrose paint whenever he can sneak a peak, and he finds the male's work absolutely impeccable. There's just something about Ambrose that reminds him of home and he likes that. Maybe it's his rather innocent looks, or perhaps it's his quietness and timidness, but whatever it is Caleb is attracted to it and is afraid of what may come of it. He hopes to one day own a piece of Ambrose's art.

Ally was born and raised in California. Her parents are long divorced, but that doesn't bother her anymore. Ally eventually decided, as a joke, to submit an application. Once she found out she got an interview, she was stunned, but took the opportunity, figuring a free trip to Miami would be nice. The interviews were interesting, as they asked a lot of questions to do with their background, ethnicity, and even politics. She answered every question honestly and to her surprise she got a call back. For someone like her, it's hard for her to find solace in loving herself. She doesn't see reasons to love herself, so instead she has to find it in people to compensate for it. However though, as a result of her clingy tendencies, she becomes a very sweet person and easy to talk to. Getting into that soul of hers though, is another story.

Background:

Lily was born in Hong Kong to Marcus and Paula Amelio-Wong, one being an American businessman and the other a Chinese translator. A couple years later she was joined by her younger sister, Winnie, who wasn't born in Hong Kong. Growing up, her parents instilled the notion that she HAD to do well in life no matter what. It didn't matter what she did, just as long as she was successful. They also believed in a very liberal definition of successful, which was very unorthodox considering her heritage and its history of parents projecting on their children and forcing them to fit into their mold of success. That wasn't how Lily and Winnie Amelio-Wong were going to be raised.

Moving to Boston at the age of 3, Lily had a slight advantage compared to her peers because of her ability to speak both Cantonese Chinese and English at a very adept level relative to her age. But, she had an unusual set of interests compared to the rest of her peers. Lily took a liking to video games and other geeky things like that, which weren't like her peers that were really into baseball and whatnot. But that didn't matter much to Lily. She found herself a set of friends that stuck with her throughout her schooling career and hadn't really deviated from it. She still keeps in contact with them to this day. Ultimately, she ended up graduating from high school with a 4.0 GPA and an acceptance to the University of Miami.

At the University of Miami, she met a group of individuals just like her, including a couple of people that had her interest romantically. She had stints with them that lasted a few months, before they mutually agreed to downgrade their relationship back to being just friends. They never spoke again after she graduated with her Bachelor's in Computer Science. Going around as a waitress in Boston, she wasn't doing much until an old classmate came up to her with an idea that peaked her interest. And before she knew it, she was auditioning for a show on MTV, and was really surprised to be accepted onto the show as well. It was definitely an unprecedented challenge for someone like her.

Spoons isn’t particularly attractive, but he does have some mesmerizing qualities. Everything about him seems to be a bit average – his face isn’t narrow or wide, but a good in between, his nose is neither big nor small, but average. If there is ever an argument for legalization of marijuana, Spoons is it. The poor guy is a walking, talking ball of restless nerves and insurmountable stress. The main reason is that after moving in with his grandparents, Spoons was put under a lot of pressure, and has had developed anxiety because of it. While he doesn’t have much social anxiety, and is typically fine in social situations (except for a certain amount of coldness), Spoons is hopelessly neurotic about school work and becomes anxious over grades and his future. He comes off as unfriendly most of the time because Spoons has a very low-tolerance for annoyances – if there is anything that taints his record beyond saving, it’s his penchant for school fights. Spoons has even punched a kid over tapping their pen too many times – of course, he warned them first. His fuse runs short and anything done incessantly will grate on his nerves rather quickly. Spoons isn’t seen as the nicest person around – he makes no effort to extend pleasantries to strangers and rather wary of them, and added with his rather volatile nature, he doesn’t have the best reputation amongst fellow students. Spoons doesn’t trust other people easily and he’s more likely to brush people off than to indulge small talk with them. It doesn’t help anything that he’s very blunt and always speaks his true thoughts and feelings, never really holding anything back no matter how much he pities someone.

On another subject, Spoons has a one-track mind (and sucks at multi-tasking, but that’s another story). When he has a goal, he is single-minded in reaching the goal and has amazing discipline when it comes to focus. If he is studying or working at something, Spoons is rather hard to distract or deter (but if someone happens to distract him, he will probably punch them in the throat). On the same vein, when Spoons has made up his mind on something else, no one will be able to talk him out of it – even if it was the worst idea ever, Spoons will go full speed ahead.

Of course, Spoons isn’t all work and no play. For the people that he does let close, Spoons can be playful towards – though most of his humor is rather deprecating and insulting, but he means it in the best way – and Spoons is even very fond of pranks. A trickster at heart, and a creative human being, Spoons uses pranks as a creative outlet for his stress – and to passive aggressively get back at people. When it comes to caring about people, Spoons rather show his affection through actions rather than words – if someone says they are thirsty, he’ll give them water and tell them to stop complaining; if someone is sick, he’ll throw bottled medicine at their heads; if someone just went through a bad breakup, he’d tell them they are stupid for dating such an asshole and that they can do better.

Background:

Oliver “Spoons” Deadman’s parents are dead men. Not a joke, unfortunately. Spoons was adopted by two gay men when he was 3 years old and when he was fifteen, they died in a car crash. It hurts to think seriously about it, for Spoons, so he prefers to make light of their death – after all, his last name is just begging for puns. After his parents died, Spoons moved in with his rather strict – and very disapproving of the “alternative lifestyle” – grandma. Her husband had died at a young age and to cope with it, she bought a million cats (technically, thirteen) and started yelling at neighborhood kids to stay off her lawn. At first, his grandma was very reluctant to take in Spoons, but he eventually grew on him. She was homophobic, uncouth, and an angry woman, and while Spoons didn’t like her as a person, he loved her as his grandmother.

Barbara Deadman, Spoons’ grandmother, had always wished for her son to make something of himself – not end up becoming a teacher and having a child with another man – and so she often pressured Spoons to do well in school. It came to the point where he wouldn’t be allowed to have electronics unless it was the weekend (and even then, it was only for two hours), he couldn’t have friends over, and when he wasn’t doing homework, he was studying his ass off. Because he didn’t have much to occupy himself, Spoons stole some cards from a general store and started playing with them in his room in between study sessions. He became so good at it, people started to refer to him as “Spoons” and now nobody really remembers his name all that much. When Spoons went to college and majored in literature rather than the medical path his grandma wanted him to go down, she basically disowned him and he had to make his own ends meet.

There wasn’t any particular reason why Spoons decided to join the Real World, rather it was a joke for him and he didn’t think he’d seriously get in, especially with how cold and standoffish he is. But, for one reason or another, Spoons seemed to have made an impression on the interviewers despite his cynical and half-assed responses, and he was accepted. There wasn’t any joy when he got accepted, but rather some boisterous laughter from his poker buddies and a sense of dread and anxiety in his stomach.

Spoons and Casimir had some serious bonding time on the first night - except it wasn't really serious and it wasn't so much bonding as bro-ing out over similar smoking habits and drinking. Either way, after that, Casimir grew on Spoons despite his rather annoying remarks that, reluctantly, Spoons had to admit were becoming more and more humorous to him rather than insulting. Spoons hates company most of the time, he feels like he has to force some semblance of cordiality that Spoons isn't very good at - and he doesn't really bother with, at the end of the day - but if Casimir hangs with him, Spoons can't find a single complaint. Casimir is the perfect amount of personable and callous that makes Spoons feel like he doesn't have to worry about punching Casimir out of a friendship - it's not Spoons's fault he has a short fuse.

"The painting looks nice," Spoons mutters noncommittally, though he does mean it, he's much too fascinated with the book in his hands. Ambrose is busy painting, his back to Spoons and Spoons doesn't quite mind that Ambrose can't see him. Despite how comfortable he is in this moment, Spoons can feel a restlessness building up that only a smoke could fix, and, well, he doesn't really want to smoke all by himself. "You almost done? You'd think it wouldn't take that long to slap some paint on a canvas and call it 'modern art,' but I guess modern art is above you."

Spoons doesn't really care about coddling others, but when it comes to Ambrose, Spoons just feels the need to comfort him, in any way he can. Maybe it's because Spoons can relate to Ambrose's anxiety problem - though their anxieties stem from different reasons, it's still the same suffocating feeling. Most of the time they spend together is at night, when Spoons can't sleep and Ambrose wants to paint - Spoons often just sits in silence with him, reading a book quietly. While they get along for the most part, Spoons's deprecating humor sometimes can have a negative affect on Ambrose - Spoons notices it sometimes, but it's a personality trait he just can't shake.

Eve has always been a relatively quiet girl, always rather walled off to protect herself. It is something she is working on overcoming, wanting to be more open and playful. She is a very spiritual young woman, often taking a half hour before going to sleep to listen to some calming music and meditate. She is rather protective of those she comes to consider her friend, and has been willing to put her own life in harms way to defend her best friend. She isn't fast to anger, but she also isn't slow. She doesn't like dealing with those who have no regard for good housekeeping or intentionally try to get under her skin.

Background:

The youngest of three,Evelyn wasn't originally born as Evelyn, she was born Bryan Steven Phillips (though I will be using Eve/her/she instead of Bryan/he/his, except in quotes). From the earliest she could remember she always enjoyed playing with her sister more than her brother and was fortunate that her mother allowed it, thinking she was being a good "brother". Her biological father on the other hand was very much bothered by this to the point of being disgusted. One night when Eve was seven, he snapped and grabbed her arm very forcefully when he saw her wearing a dress, and playing with dolls with her older sister. WARNING THIS NEXT PART CONTAINS PROFANITY AND ABUSE: "You are a fucking boy, not a god damn fucking fairy!" Her father roared, dragging her to her room, and literally tearing the dress off of her before beating her with his belt. With each blow, she cried out in pain and could feel as bruises started to form. By the time her mother got in from her grocery shopping and pulled her husband off of her youngest, there was twenty six long bruises, several broken ribs and a broken leg. As Eve's mother rushed her to the hospital, she send her daughter to a neighbour's house to call the police to report the attack. At the hospital they rushed to save young Eve's life, and take notes and pictures for the police. Needless to say when all the evidence was collected, not only was the father tried and convicted of child abuse and domestic violence, but also attempted murder. The damage had already been done though, Eve would have nightmares for the next two years before, with the help of a therapist, she managed to get them under control.

Her therapist, a woman named Elizabeth Farren, was very kind and helpful to Eve. It was with her that Eve eventually opened up about how she felt, why she enjoyed playing with her sister more than her brother. Elizabeth listened intently to every word Eve said and didn't interrupt. Not until Eve asked a question that absolutely tore at her very heart, "Was daddy right, am I a freak?" "No, you are not a freak. Different, maybe, but you are certainly not a freak." She asked Eve a few questions, eventually asking what would you like to be when you grow up? Eve responded, "I'd like to be a mommy some day, but daddy says boys and fairies don't get to be mommies. But I also like drawing so maybe I could do something with that too?" "Bryan, would you rather be a girl, so you could be a mom at some point?" "Yes but daddy said that's not how things work." "Not usually, but there are a few cases. What girl names do you like?" Eve didn't know how to answer at the time, so Elizabeth brought Eve's mother in and told her her suspicions and Eve's mother only hugged her daughter tight especially when Elizabeth told her that the road ahead will be long and difficult if she decides to go down that path. "But it will be easier since we figured it out before puberty."

It was pretty much since that point that Eve came out of her shell. She didn't even look back. Her mother let her dress more feminine, and until she chose her own name simply called her Brianna. At Eleven, Elizabeth recommended them an endocrinologist to prescribe Spiro (a shortened name of a medicine used as an anti-androgen)as well as begin with oestrogen. Within a few visits with the endocrinologist, she was fortunate enough to start with hormone replacement therapy. On her thirteen birthday she decided on a name to replace Brianna, Evelyn Astrid. Evelyn practiced her drawing skills and got really good. That was ironically the same year that her mother met her eventual stepfather.

At seventeen, Eve accompanied her older sister when she went to get a tattoo and watched the tattoo artist do his work. She was fascinated and wanted to learn more. When she graduated, she was hesitantly offered an apprenticeship with an Tattoo artist looking to move out. And she surprised him, proving herself quickly that she was very talented with a surprisingly steady hand and an eye for detail. He watched over all her works and when he thought she was ready introduced her to her first client, himself. He wanted her to tattoo him before he unleashed her on an unsuspecting population. And it wasn't exactly an easy design he was asking for, a werewolf and moon. But she kept slow and even breaths and her steady hand and completed the project, and with a nod and a firm handshake, her master was satisfied that she would do a good job. From there she went on to finish eighth in a tristate contest in the spring of 2016.

The reason she wanted to join the cast of the Real World was as a final test to herself that she can pass as female outside of the people she knows when up close and personal. With her final surgery coming up just after the summer ends, it would be the perfect time for her to run this final test in an extreme way. She was a bit nervous at having to explain her reasoning during the interview but at the same time she was excited. She knew there was a good chance she wouldn't be picked, but she did hope, because it meant she could come down to Miami and work on tattooing with some more well known names in addition to her "test." Finding out that she was selected was a major surprise for not only her but her family and friends, who didn't think that this would be the kind of thing she'd be interested in doing. Her stepfather was proud, since she was stepping outside of her comfort zone. Her mother was scared, knowing how harsh people could be, not wanting her little girl getting hurt. But Eve was excited and happy to receive the news, she packed up her most important items and made her way to Miami.

If it weren't for his ever-permanent grin and bright eyes, Garrett could be quite the intimidating individual; standing at a towering 6'5 with broad shoulders and toned muscles, he's got the body of your stereotypical jock. Said toned body is littered with a lovely mish-mash of scars – one doesn't live the reckless life he has without receiving more than a few, after all. Most are across his torso, sides and arms and legs; while great in number, not many are particularly large or deep. Scrapes from long ago still on knees and elbows; old keyhole operations to re-set bones smattered across his forearms; white gashes on his knuckles from wounds that never properly healed before being re-opened; a number of pin-pricks in the crooks of his elbows from where he'd shot up in the past. The biggest is probably a bite mark on the left of his torso, sustained from a rather vicious guard dog when he and his friends had trespassed in a junk yard as a dare when he was younger.

However, his face has remained unmarred from most scars or blemishes, really. There is a small one atop his head (received from climbing a tree or something when he was a clumsy kid), but it's hidden behind thick, wavy hair – depending on how much sun it's seen and how short it is, the colour can range from a rich honey brown to a coppery, dark blonde. His fringe is usually swept upwards, allowing his slim brows and bright blue eyes to be seen quite clearly.

In terms of style and grooming, Garrett doesn't put a lot of effort into looking good – his hair is easily tameable; usually running a hand through it will relieve him of a bedhead; it's rare to see his chiseled jawline covered in stubble – not much of it grows, and when it does, it's gone. He couldn't cope with a beard, no matter how awesome it would look. As for clothes, he just wears the usual casual stuff; tennis shoes or boots, jeans, t-shirts, etc. Garrett also has an abundance of cotton sweaters and hoodies in varying colours, preferring to wear them as opposed to an actual coat when the weather turns. He's not one to get cold, as you could tell be how often he walks around shirtless. (Usually when he rolls out of bed, is celebrating his favourite soccer team winning, or is really getting into a passionate rock song or something; the latter usually accompanied by a wild air guitar, headbanging, jumping on tables, and several items thrown at him from pissed-off spectators, annoyed by his terrible singing.) One thing he does keep on him at all times is a braided leather bracelet – totally battered and worn, but still sturdy enough to stay in one piece. It was given to him by his sister before she left, so he won't let it go.

Personality:

If one were to meet Garrett for the first time, and be in a room with him for five minutes, you could easily come to the conclusion of "moron". He does stupid things for no apparent reason – if someone asked him to headbutt a wooden wall to see if he could bust all the way through, he'd probably go for it. He's the guy who would dive off a cliff if somebody said it would be fun; and that's not a random suggestion, he has actually done that. Plenty of times. Not to mention the lack of seriousness hanging about him – the near constant stream of jovial comments, jokes, puns and sarcasm gives one the impression that he's without a care – or brain cell – in the world.

However, he isn't stupid – he just doesn't care to think about the consequences of his actions, instead electing to throw himself head first into most situations. Including speaking, so he can say rather blunt things without thinking about people's feelings beforehand, while not intentionally being mean, he can sometimes come across as such. Regardless of what his parents might say, or even his friends – if something piques his interest he'll give it a go, no matter the potential danger. Even after losing his sister, he's retained this way of thinking, perhaps being even more reckless at times; not only is adrenaline a good distraction from other, more damaging addictions of his, but he lost a certain amount of caring for his well-being when he lost Andy. Sometimes he thinks that if he weren't like this, then he could have followed in her footsteps and stopped everything from happening... or he could have died too. But then, he wouldn't be Garrett either. So he lives with it cheerfully, for the most part; and he is a cheerful person. There isn't much that can bring him down – but this is not always to his advantage. Any psychologist could see his constant state of optimism and humour is just a defence mechanism; bringing on forms of denial when it comes to bad things. This in turn has lead to procrastination in his jobs; a "mañana-mañana" sort of attitude when it comes to his responsibilities. While having never been fired from a job for slacking, he sometimes waits too long to look for a decent job, then running out of money and panicking to find a place that will hire him before becoming a vagrant.

His deniability doesn't just stop there though – there are many things in his life that he hasn't truly accepted. On the outside, it may just seem like he's okay with it, but in all honesty, he isn't. His sister's death is severely repressed, alongside a certain denial surrounding his drug habit. All the time he thinks that it wouldn't hurt to try just a little bit of weed to relax, but the thought of descending into that maddening spiral again is enough to put him off... for now, at least. The temptation grows every day, and while he'll laugh and joke with his friends, having a few lagers and pretending everything is fine, that little voice tells him to bring back that dark side. Well... he considers it to be dark; losing one's self control is a concerning thing. However, it should be noted than when high - or more commonly these days, drunk - he's never been violent. Dubbed a "happy drunk", Garrett is more likely to hurt you with a hug when he's had one too many pints than to get aggressive. He may even spill out a few heartfelt truths about a crush, if he gets drunk enough. When sober, if reminded of this, it will naturally get laughed off. But under this jovial, joke-cracking exterior, Garrett has all the normal feelings and emotions of any other person. He's just not one to wear his heart on his sleeve.

Background:

Garrett and his twin sister Candice were born on Friday the 13th. Is this starting like a horror story? Yes - but Garrett will tell anyone who laughs at the superstitious date his birth fell upon that he and his sister were never cursed, or demon children, or even the Anti-Christ. Can you imagine that? Not one, but two children of Satan? As if twins weren't already annoyingly inconvenient for parents. But were they unlucky? Yes... he supposes they were quite unlucky, at least as they approached adulthood. As for growing up, Garrett and Candice (Who swiftly learnt to hate her name and go by Andy instead) had it pretty normal. While born in their mother's native America, the family relocated to Australia not soon after the twin's birthday due to new job opportunities for their father; being as young as they were, they didn't really notice the move and grew up quite happily in their new home down under.

As the twins progressed through school, it became clear that one was doing better than the other. While both of them being both very keen at sports and proficient in them, Garrett's grades were steadily slipping academically while Andy was doing extremely well across the board. Soon, all Garrett was getting passes in was art, sport, and history - he insisted he wasn't stupid, he just found everything else too boring to listen to. After several bouts on punishment by his parents and teachers - which didn't really help him want to learn, if anything he became less likely to try in class - Andy began helping him with his studies. Simply on the basis of she and him wanting to stick by each other through everything, she explained he'd have to work harder if they wanted to go through life together as they'd always planned. Realising (somewhat reluctantly) that she was right, Garrett put in the bare, minimum effort to get his grades back up to standard. It didn't take much; as he'd already stated to his parents, he wasn't stupid, he was just bored. In fact, by the time he was 14 (now in secondary school), he was offering tutoring for the other students in history. Provided they paid him, that was.

By the time the pair had reached the age of 17, they had left school and unsure of what to do next. Well, Garrett was unsure. Andy had a plan; a plan she'd been thinking over for a good few years. Wanting to follow in her mother's footsteps, she told a surprised Garrett that she was wanting to join the Marines - the US Marines, that was. More than happy to follow in his sister's footsteps, the pair told their parents of their plan, and were soon jetting off to the States for a new, exciting life in the Marine Corps.

Except Garrett didn't. Didn't pass the requirements, that is - apparently he'd failed his "moral aptitude" test, which even he thought was understandable. He wasn't the most morally perfect person in the whole world; and he greatly disliked having orders barked at him. In hindsight, the Marines was probably not the greatest choice for a free spirit like himself. As for Andy, she had passed with flying colours, and was already being considered for the Intelligence programme she had applied for. While concerned for her wellbeing, Garrett was swollen with pride over his hard-working sister, telling her to go for it. He would take the time to get some part-time work here and there; exploring America as he went. Although they would be apart for a while, he would be there for her when she got back from her training - and before she went on a tour.

From here, Garrett did exactly that - bouncing around from state to state, he had plenty of skills to get jobs wherever took his fancy, as long as it didn't require a college degree. He took in new sights, learnt new things, made new friends, made love with new people, and tried to keep in touch with his sister and parents as much as he could. It was an easy enough life for a few years. But at the age of 21, it seemed that birthday of Friday the 13th finally caught up to him. Having just been a regular day, he couldn't understand the grief-stricken phone-call from his mother, fighting past her sobs to break the news to him. When she finally broke down and his father took over, Garrett's mind and body seemed to have gone numb as the message finally sank in. Killed in action? Andy? No... he would have felt it, he would have felt something. There were all these documentaries and TV shows about people feeling their twin's grief or pain from miles and miles away, he would have felt the same thing, right?

Understanding - real understanding - only came to him at the funeral. Even on the flight from the States back home was met with some slight denial. Everyone from his extended family seemed to be there; great-aunts and third cousins that he'd only ever met at his christening as a baby. They all said the same things; "So sorry for your loss..." and "At least she died doing what she loved..." But how could they know that? Andy loved surfing and barbecues and crappy jewellery; she loved petting dogs and cooing at sloth videos and ruffling Garrett's hair whenever he did something stupid. These strangers dressed in black didn't know a damn thing about her, or about him for that matter. The soldiers present didn't make him feel much better either. When told that Andy had died to save others, or had won a posthumous award for her bravery, he sourly wished that the others had died. He knew this was selfish of him to think, that it wasn't doing anything for Andy's memory - but he didn't care. He'd stopped caring about a lot of things when Andy died.

After a too-long military funeral, with the flag folded and handed to his pale-faced mother; everyone jerking in the seats at the sharp crack of each blank round fired - Garrett skipped the reception afterwards, heading back to his childhood home to be alone. He couldn't stand anymore people he barely knew hugging him and telling him it would get better. By the next day, he had packed his things and guiltily told his parents he was going back to America - he couldn't stand to stay here, not with all the memories. When they told him that they understood, and dropped him off at the airport with tight, lingering hugs and kisses wet with tears, he felt even worse at abandoning them. He promised to stay in touch, to look after himself, to promise to come home if things got too much for him... but he lied.

Garrett went straight back to his drifting ways, but it wasn't as hopeful or enjoyable as before. It was as if he was looking or searching for something, but he couldn't even find it - he remained empty as he bounced from state to state. It didn't take long for him to try and fill that hole with alcohol, and eventually drugs. It started off small; a puff of a bong here, a spliff there. But then a friend introduced him to ecstasy. When the ecstasy stopped working as well as it used to, he turned to acid. When the acid freaked him out too much, he tried some cocaine offered to him. It was a seemingly endless spiral downwards, trying new things to try and feel better - and it worked, for a while. But when the high disappeared, he felt darker and more depressed than ever. Contact with parents descended from regular phone calls to postcards, just to let them know he was alive and working... they couldn't tell how close to the edge of hopelessness he was from just writing.

His drug habit continued for a year or so, before landing a job in some stables in Colorado, the very state he was born in. It was a 6 month contract, meaning he'd have to stay there a bit longer than usual - which he didn't mind, considering how much he enjoyed horse-riding. While working there, he got to ride horses for when they needed extra exercising - the only downside was the owner. A sharp-witted fellow, he caught on to Garrett's issues straight away. Rather than turning him down for the job, he decided to give him a chance, what with seeing that the boy was really trying to better himself, to try and stop the total control of drugs. Gently persuaded by his boss, he took up classes in the nearby town for Kendo. The boss himself partook in the modern martial art, stating that it was a fine way to exercise and discipline yourself. On top of this, he picked up Brazilian jiu jitsu - a sport he had begun back in Australia as a kid, but had abandoned when coming to the states. Both martial arts proved to work some kind of magic in Garrett; he excelled in both of them, learning to turn to practice and exercise whenever a craving hit him or whenever he got down. The endorphins released from exercise did wonders for curing his sour moods, along with something introduced into his life that he hadn't felt in a while; hope. The hope that he could turn this around, that he could make something of himself and make Andy - and his parents - proud. Even when his contract came to an end, he remained in Colorado, continuing with this cleaner, healthier lifestyle in the hopes that he wouldn't relapse again.

Eventually, he grew bored of staying in the same place, and moved on once again. Landing in California, he heard of the auditions for The Real World in some bar he was hoping to get a job at. He'd seen it on TV a few times, but what with never being one for reality TV, hadn't invested much thought into it. However, to actually take part in the show would be interesting; not only could it possibly open up future job prospects, Garrett figured he could even make some actual permanent friends. Either way, it wouldn't hurt to audition for it. As it happened, the interview process was easily the most straight-forward one he'd ever had in his life; in which acting like himself was making him more likely to get a spot on the show. An Australian surrounded by yanks? The producers obviously thought that would make for a breath of fresh air, so they recruited him. Garrett was surprisingly excited for it - it would prove to be entertaining for himself, at the very least. Also, it was free rent for a while. He could put up with the cameras for that.
