Base of Operations: Cyrus once operated out of an abandoned steel mill, though the conditions of which left a lot to be desired. Old computers and wires hanging from the tall ceilings meant that his base has left a lot to be desired. While he still operates out of this location, he finds himself spending less and less time there as his school works and football takes hold of much of his free time.

Appearance: Cyrus stands tall at a height of six foot three inches tall. His hair is kept cut to a manageable level and is a dark brown color that is just long enough for him to style up and to his left. He has a rather large and thick beard for his age, causing a vast majority of people to think he may be older than he says. He has bright sapphire blue eyes. On a usual day, Cyrus likes to keep his clothing simple and to the point; often wearing a simple blue jeans and gold school hoodie combination.

Personality: Cyrus is a chipper young adult who worries too much. Liking bad puns and the resulting groans and sighs that follow a successful punch line, Cyrus often finds himself at his co-worker's wit's end as he unleashes a cascade of terrible jokes meant to lighten the situation. Highly intelligent, Cyrus often knows the answers to too many of the problems life throws his way. Dedicated, he will often risk his own rear end to make sure his task is completed. Overconfident, he often underestimates the difficulty of a task and often he is forced to lay in the bed he makes after an unsuccessful mission or a poor attempt at a sale at his job. Friendly, Cyrus looks to bring the inner light found in all people out to the surface.

Skills:

Abilities: The ability to bend and control light. Cyrus has the unique ability to control the way light interacts in everyday circumstances; from pulling light from a source to use in a blinding strike to storing light in bottles to later use as flash bangs, Cyrus has full control over light. While it may not prove to be the most powerful ability in a fight, he more than makes up for it acting in a supporting role, using his abilities to shroud his allies in darkness when threatened or blinding would be assailants with his awesome, but not awe inspiring, power.

While his power was at times as great as any, it wasn't always the case. He has very little control behind the power. His limited training in controlling and without proper guidance in the use of his gift has left a lot of his understanding of his ability being relegated to an educated guess at best. It has also meant that he has very little stamina. Shrouding a small object is an easy feat for him, but hiding one average person at the tallest is not without its drain. Every second that he hides a small group he feels the taxing pull of energy, one that he can not keep up for long.

Furthermore, he has to maintain a constant and conscious connection with any use of his abilities. The light itself will always try and force its way back to it's natural, uncontrollable state. While some of his abilities don't need as much of a connection, as is the case with his light grenades, but others require his thoughts to be 100% clear of any other.

Bio: Born to a religious family, Cyrus was raised in the suburbs of the greater Cleveland area in a place called Shaker Heights. Through his young childhood Cyrus was by all accounts average; while he succeeds in sports and while he was generally smart enough to understand the concepts that were being taught to him, he struggled in school. After being held back for the first time, his parents decided to take him to a doctor to have his head checked. The doctor ran his tests, and much to the surprise of his parents, Cyrus tested positive for a specific genetic mutation that often resulted in the creation (or acquiring depending on who you ask) of awesome special powers. The doctor recommended he be sent to a special school for gifted youngsters like himself, and to Cyrus's shock, his parents could not agree more.

The school was located somewhere in New York, and at first, Cyrus loved it. The teachers helped Cyrus find his power, train him how to control it, and above all else, he was surrounded by people just like him. He had to return home after three semesters, however, as it seemed that every other week the school itself came under attack from super villains, rouge government forces, and various other factions that actually liked the idea of attacking a school filled with young, and untrained, kids.

While life back in the normal world would be rough at times, Cyrus began to flourish. His natural athletic abilities inherited from his father meant that he was successful in football as a receiver. In the later part of his high school years, he would actually attempt to become a superhero in his own right; operating out of an abandoned steel mill in downtown Cleveland, working with the local AV club to help those affected by the criminals and the scums of the earth. After high school, he received a full ride to a local university and he continued his football career there and is currently in his sophomore season as a member of the Kent State Golden Flashes.

Abilities: Gas Manipulation, mainly noble gasses
As the name implies, Sophie can alter the air around her to perform unique abilities. However, Sophie quickly discovered the limits of her power. Her manipulative abilities can only really influence the more nonreactive noble gases and even then, their manipulation is oddly specific. It is possible there is a chemical reason behind Sophie's ability or inability to manipulate the air around her, but at the moment she doesn't quite understand why. That hasn't stopped her from trying to figure things out and has discovered the following applications for her powers.

It should be noted that various applications require time (depending on volume of gas required) or energy (depending upon Sophie's influence on the gas) in order to perform. For example, if Sophie were to make a solid argon shield, it would require time to pull enough argon from the atmosphere and energy from Sophie in order to super chill the argon to form a solid. The energy of Sophie required is not equal but proportional to the energy required to chill a gas but will require Sophie's concentration and continued energy in order to maintain any non-room temperature application.

Application of the noble gasses comes in mainly three forms: Freezing, shielding, and at least one unique attribute pertaining to each gas.

Helium- Flight is a possible application as Sophie can throw the helium under herself and have it push her along. The problem is that she can't alter the natural lift so she needs a lot of helium. Like 70,000 liters or about 300 party balloons.
Neon- neon seems limited in application only displaying the bright light when subjected to proper influence.
Argon- Considered the more offensive gas in Sophie's arsenal because unlike the other gasses, argon is capable of being formed into a plasma beam and is actually used in things like modern day cryosurgery. This beam is more focused on destroying living tissue and is much better at hitting non-stationary targets unlike her other method of freezing.
Krypton- Narcotic gas, Krypton can be a non-lethal method of subduing an opponent, though making a gun-wielding individual high might not always be the best answer.
Xenon- Uniquely biological, Sophie can utilize Xenon to influence body tissue to offer a regenerative ability, effectively allowing her to heal herself or anyone at an increased rate. Furthermore, Xenon exposure has slowly altered Sophie's physiology providing her the effect of minor sports doping. As a result, she is deceptively faster and stronger than she might seem, equivalent to about a man her age.
Radon- Limited application although surprisingly abundant in atmosphere, harnessing Radon can yield a quick, strong shield for excellent protection but at the expense of a lot energy. Radon exposure has also altered Sophie's physiology and boosted her resistance to disease and despite radiation, Sophie is uniquely unaffected by it for the most part.

So the only superhero I really like is Spider-Gwen and despite me pretty much wanting to play basically spiderman here, I thought y'all probably didn't want that. So I tried to come up with something unique. I'll dig a bit more into the bio and personality soon, but I'd really like the GM to inspect the power to make sure it is okay. As a note, she thinks her power is limited by her understanding of the chemistry behind it. There is a potential that may be the case or may not be the case and she has reached the height of her power.

It all matters of the kind of object she creates. If it's something complex, every symptom will increase and will eventually kill her if she tries to create something too complex for her.

As the quote unqoute "grandson"of the current Yamaguchi-Gumi leader, he has inherited the prideful and violent aura that comes with the name Yamaguchi-gumi as well as the aggressive attitude and brutal opinions but he can back this up with fighting prowess. He is never one to give up, willing to go as far as death for those close to him, the ride-or-die phrase befitting of him.

Background: Gi's father was not the greatest of people. Working a shit job in a shit area dealing with shit people. Stress needs to be released somehow right? Well, through the wonders of alcohol he snuffed his stress with, so long as it stayed in his system, that way he wouldn't remember beating the young Gi for problems others caused for him. His mother wouldn't step in, not anymore at least. After a broken nose, three cracked ribs and a fractured jaw, not including the hospital trip, his mother no longer attempted to stop the father from hitting him. Luck still favored Gi and his mother, as the cops were called and eventually the father was taken away. Unfortunately, this put his mother and himself in a financial predicament. Gi and his mother were on the streets by the age of 6 but still managed to continue his one hobby he had, martial arts.

This is when Gi knew what he had to do, hustle. He started with pickpocketing and was caught the first two times, earning a very hard ass kicking before figuring out what not to do. Slowly he branched out into other crimes like stealing and boosting. This had gained the attention of a certain yakuza family by the name of Yamaguchi-gumi. They promised that they would take care of him and his mother if he came along. Gi didn't take long to say yes. With their help, he honed in his skills and helped teach him the martial arts he wanted. They saw potential with the boy, and they had no idea the amount of potential. They saw it in him more so when he picked up the blade, seemingly to finesse it with ease. Rusty in style and attack but a battle prowess that complemented the rustiness of his movements.

It was by the age of eight did his quirk kick in when a gang fight broke out at a local noodle shop. A gun was pulled and fired at him when he was scared and cornered. "Move...Moooove.....MOOOOOOOVEEEEEE!" His eyes flicked red and in an instant he dodged the bullet and managed to get into the opposing gang members personal space and stabbed him, killing him instantly. After that he collapsed, having exerted all that energy to dodge. These actions in this event had gotten the attention of the leader of the family. Yamaguchi-Gumi requested Gi stay by his side and continue under his guidance.

Years had passed and over time with much training and exercise, he had managed to control his quirk with a bit more ease, though still imperfect. Thoughts of becoming a hero have grown in his mind and his connection to the Yakuza is slowly dimming. Is the possibly of Gi becoming a hero high? No one knows, not even himself.

Quirk: Raikiri - Mutant
Raikiri in Japanese roughly translates to lightning blade, and that is exactly how his quirk can be described but by his speed. His eyes give it away first, changing to a red while the pupils split into three. He is able to move at high speeds and react faster than most, a byproduct of his body's natural muscular and nervous system. But what makes this "Lightning blade" is the fact he complements this with his prowess and finesse of the blade. The combination of speed and edge is quite the vicious quirk. However, the one thing that he lacks is stamina. High speed movements do exert a lot of energy and currently he can only last about fifteen minutes in consistent movement. Should he exceed this or attempt to, he is looking at muscular damage if not worse. If he does exceed it, the worst possible thing to happen is sudden cardiac arrest. Besides the outer workings of his quirk the inner workings are interesting. His muscles are shaped and formed differently from most with a much more lean design despite its build. His heart usually pumps twice as fast as everyone else when in a calm state, including those who also have quirks but will triple in speed when exerting energy. Should he exert more than necessary, his heart will begin to pump out of rhythm and begin causing pain with the worst case the valves and aorta tear sending him into cardiac arrest.

Talents: Through the years of law breaking, he has learned many unneeded but useful skills. It had taken time but he is practically a pro with lock picking and hotwiring. He has been training in kenjuitsu and kempo since he was 5 and has become quite the fighter, though more so with handling a blade than anything else. Not a talent per say, but he has learned how to cope with physical pain a bit more so than others thanks to the violent background he has had.

Standing at 5 ft 4, Carmen has a small but athletic frame. She works out fairly regularly and it shows. She's a very good looking young woman but she doesn't seem to realise this and often doesn't wear any kind of makeup. She has long black hair and dark eye but as La Chica Muerta, she wears red contacts. La Chica Muerta wears candy skull face paint of varying styles and dresses in a black costume covered in stylised bone designs.

Carmen almost always seems either angry or hyper...Sometimes both. Even in her normal daily life, she seems like she may just snap at any moment and punch someone in the face. There's always that energy bubbling just below the surface. Carmen uses this energy the only way she knows how. By hitting things...and people.....Mostly people. She seems almost obsessed with violence and death and relishes any opportunity to fight, be it a physical fight or a verbal one. She has practically zero patience and can't stand waiting around for anything. She also has a tendency to screw with people, just for the hell of it. For instance, while she speaks perfect English, she will often speak only in Spanish around native English speakers for no other reason than to see the often confused look on their faces. Those who know her often describe her as “a rampaging lunatic” but she's not overly fond of that term and often informs others of this by punching them repeatedly in the face until they cry...and then punching them some more.

Skills:
Fighting. La Chica Muerta mixes Lucha Libre wrestling with straight up street fighting. She is a brutal fighter who attacks with reckless abandon. She strikes with a surprising strength for someone her size. She is also a highly talented mechanic and engineer. There are very few machines that she can't repair...or break into a million pieces, depending on her mood that day.

Abilities:
Healing factor – La Chica Muerta's body seems capable of healing from practically any wound. That said, she's by no means impervious to pain. Spray her full of bullets and she'll go down but she won't stay down. La Chica Muerta has been stabbed, shot, hit by cars, thrown off of buildings, exposed to the entire back catalog of Rob Schneider movies...and just like the killer in that movie, she just keeps getting back up.

It seems almost inevitable that Carmen Vega would become La Chica Muerta.

Carmen was born in Juarez, Mexico. One of the most dangerous places in the country. Her mother worried about raising a child in such a place though and eventually decided to leave. So at a young age, Carmen and her mother moved to Tijuana. They had little money to their name however and they often struggled to make ends meet.

When Carmen was around six years old, her mother started dating a man named Bruno. Carmen didn't know much about Bruno. All she knew was that she didn't like him. She had never known her dad and when she asked her mom about it, all she would say was that he was a deadbeat and they were better off without him. Despite this, Carmen always had a picture in her head of dad as some great hero who would swoop in one day and rescue them from their miserable lives. Maybe that was why she didn't like Bruno so much. He was anything but a hero. A thug and a bully, yes, but no hero. He would often push Carmen's mother around, intimidating her into doing whatever he wanted. She basically became his slave.

Bruno had a tattoo of a skull on his steroid filled arm and routinely got in Carmen's face, telling her how how there was one just like it under her pretty little face. He would do this while generally running her down, reminding her that she was nothing and poking at her head. He continued doing this for years. All the while the anger built in Carmen until she finally snapped and punched him in the throat.

Carmen remembers how good she felt in that moment as Bruno fell to his knees in shock and surprise that a ten year old girl had just punched him. Finally putting a bully in his place felt amazing. She smiled at Bruno as he knelt in front of her but Bruno's shock quickly faded to anger. She doesn't remember much after the back of his hand connected with her face. Mostly sounds. Crashes. Something breaking. Bruno yelling. Her mothers voice and....another one...A voice she didn't recognize.

When Carmen woke up, she and her mother where in a place she didn't know. Her mom told her they had crossed the border into America. This seemed like a good thing to Carmen, yet her mother seemed angry.

“You need to be more careful.” she told Carmen. “One of these days your bravery will get you killed.”

Carmen didn't know about that but she did know that punching that bully Bruno had felt really good. Even if the bruise forming under her eye hurt like hell.

Life in America was different but the Vega women seemed to do a lot better than they did back in Mexico. Carmen enrolled in a school where her grades steadily improved to an impressive level and her mother got a decently paying job and even met a new man. One which Carmen actually approved of this time. It was no small feat to win the approval of young Ms Carmen Vega. Although buying her all those video games may have helped.

Carmen was occasionally difficult. In her teenage years, she would often get into fights for no other reason than she liked to fight. Again, her mother went off on a rant about how she was going to end up in the hospital or the morgue one of these days. Carmen paid little attention to this though. She knew how to handle herself and it wasn't like her grades were failing or anything. In her mind, she was just letting off some steam. She wasn't going to die or anything.

Overall, life seemed to improve for Carmen....right up until she died.

It wasn't long after Carmen had entered college that everything went to hell. She had gone out drinking with some friends one night. Carmen wandered off on her own, half drunk and unwittingly ventured into a bad neighborhood right as a conflict erupted between two rival gangs with a number of innocent people caught in the middle. There was one young man in particular with a terrified look on his face as bullets whizzed past his head.

Carmen, being Carmen, was hardly about to let someone get hurt and, without even thinking about it, tried to tackle one of the thugs with guns to the ground.

She barely even heard the bullet before everything went dark.

In a strange echo of the time after she had punched Bruno, Carmen once again woke up in a place she didn't know. Only this time, her surroundings were much less friendly. She had woken up in the county morgue.

Absolutely terrified of what this meant, she quickly got dressed, pocketing the toe tag on her foot and the file next to her and fled before whoever worked there returned. After this horrifying experience, Carmen became convinced that her mothers warning had come true and she was now dead. After hiding in her dorm room for what felt like forever and watching Adventure Time on a loop to try and calm herself down, she decided to run some tests. She learned that she barely bled at all and any wound would heal amazingly quickly. Nothing about this was normal.

She also learned that others died in the same shoot out. Surprisingly, this, more than her own apparent death, seemed to push Carmen over the edge. She decided that something had to be done about these thugs who thought they could just take someone's life without a second thought.

This was when Carmen adopted the identity of La Chica Muerta...The Dead Girl.

La Chica Muerta took the fight to the local gangs with a surprising ferocity. In her mind, she was already dead so she had nothing left to lose. Every time one of them thought they had put her down, she just got right back up again.

Stories of La Chica Muerta spread through the neighborhoods. She became an urban legend. The boogeywoman that haunted the criminals of the underworld. When tales of this regenerating woman who couldn't be killed spread far enough, members of the superhero community sought out La Chica Muerta, thinking that someone with her particular power may be useful. They quickly learned that she had gone off the deep end and was almost as dangerous as the criminals she fought. She was a liability to have around.

La Chica Muerta never much wanted to play in the same sandbox as the super men and women of the world but their assertion that she was a dangerous lunatic pissed her off. She has since begun to spread out from her comfort zone of punching gang members in the face and groin and has begun tangling with some actual super villains...C list villains, but it's a start. She'll prove those uppity capes wrong eventually.

Today, Carmen tries to balance her life as La Chica Muerta with what little life she has left as Carmen Vega, all the while trying to outwit a particularly nosey detective who has taken it upon himself to investigate the girl who supposedly died one day but is still walking around.

Larger than your average gecko Quibble is still only about twenty inches long. He has a light green and yellow coloration with a gradient black tail; getting its darkest at the tip. While out and about and not acting like your average gecko he wears a cloak and carries a tiny stick, though in his hands it looks like a staff; he feels it makes him look more dignified and hopefully it will have those around him take him more seriously.

Personality:

Sarcastic asshole. That is the best way to describe Quibble. It is nearly guaranteed that it will insult you or come back with a quick witted remark, whether or not you were talking to it. It has a size complex, becoming violently defensive when his size is remotely stated; does not matter if it is stated in a positive or negative manner. Genetic Mimicry - Upon coming into direct contact with genetic DNA Quibble can copy it identically. Not only can Quibble physically become the person or thing Quibble also copies their mutation/powers/abilities/skills/personality. Though because of its limited mental capacity Quibble is only able to utilize a portion of their powers; depending on how complex the power is determines how much of the power it is capable of using. Quibble only has use of the Genetic Mimicry of the person/thing it lasted touched for 48 hours afterwards. For this Quibble keeps a few pieces of hair or something with their DNA to have a few constant forms on hand. (Will create list later.)
