The year is 2054...

Exactly one century after the Kaiju Era began. It all started back in 1954, after a giant kaiju being, known simply as "Gojira", invaded the bay of Tokyo, Japan, engulfing the entire city in flames and killing hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians. It was said that this giant, hideous, monster was created unintentionally by the detonation of an atomic bomb, and was known as man's bastard "Nuclear Child". It was only after the brave effort by scientist Dr. Serizawa, while using a powerful weapon called the "Oxygen Destroyer", was when Godzilla was ultimately defeated, turning him into nothing more but an empty skeleton. But while doing so, it also intentionally takes the life of both the scientist and the secrets of the Oxygen Destroyer. The world breathed a sigh of utter relief, many of us thinking that they would never have to worry about such a threat again...

WE WERE WRONG.

In fact, this marked the age of the Kaiju, monstrous beings that rose from the depths of the ocean or from unseen lands far from civilization. And yet... these figures have been seen taking the forms of US, the forms of humans! These beings have been called "Kaiju Gijinka" or simply "Monster Humanoids", supernatural humans that have unique alien-like abilities and are able to transform into giant several story tall monsters! These beings come in all different shapes and sizes, along with different abilities, origins, and motives. Some kaiju have been seen to protect Earth from threats of the unknown, with some even protecting humans from harm, while some come with a thirst for power and destruction, some coming from the depths of space itself. And yet, even they can turn into one of us, walk amongst us, and on certain occasions, fight for us. Earth is now a new playground for these figures of intense power and destruction... and we, the human race, are no longer the dominant species on this Earth.

But that doesn't mean we can fight back. Major powers all over the world have banned together, setting aside all our differences, on simply to protect cities throughout the world from getting trampled over by these beings of mass destruction. This eventually lead to the creation of the KGDF, the Kaiju Global Defense Force. To fight monsters, we created monsters of our own. From human-piloted mechs, to size-changing androids, we have invested much into keeping humanity safe and sound. And not just our cities... but the entire world. Today we face the monsters that are at our door and bring the fight to them!

Welcome to "MonsterVerse - A Kaiju-Gijinka RP", a roleplay based off the giant monster films and animations from Japan and beyond, turning them into shapeshifting humans. Here you have the chance of making characters, whether they be a Kaiju shapeshifter, a mecha android, or even a human working alongside them as a scientist, pilot, or anything else you can imagine! This world can be considered as one massive playground, with multiple scenarios, missions, and episode arcs taking place all around the world.

I'm pretty sure you guys know the rules, but of course, allow me to plant the ground rules in case you are new or simply happen to forget:

• Respect: Always respect your fellow players! Keep any major disagreements to the PMs.
• No Godmodding: Pretty straight forward, don't have your character do an action or series of actions that are without limits, and that they seem to avoid injury no matter what, can land every attack and so forth.
• No Autohitting: The act of making an attack of yours automatically connect with another player without giving them a chance to react, respond, or attempt a dodge, again very simple.
• No Powerplaying: Don't operate anyone else's character without their consent.
• No Speedposting: Please wait two more posts from someone else before you can post again.
• Posting Length: This is a casual roleplay, not a free one. That means I do expect a good amount of effort when making your post. Two paragraphs are the least one can do. Also, I would like people to post at least twice a week, preferably more but I understand people get busy. If you'll be unable to post for a few days, just let me, the GM, know.
• Questions: If you have any questions, ideas, and whatnot, feel free to ask me. If you can't continue to be in this RP due to various situations, please let me know before leaving. We don't want to feel left in the dark in these situations.

BRIEF INFORMATION

The KGDF

Starting out as simply a minor branch of the United Nations and the Global Defense Force, the Kaiju Global Defense Force has become more important than ever since the increase rise of the kaiju gijinka. Now it's own separate and major branch, it is both the front and last defense line humanity has in keeping humanity safe. It creates mechanized android units to help match the power in the gijinka, from Akane "Kiryu" Yashiro to Gipsy Danger, the latter being one of the leading generals in command. Along with the main branch of the Kaiju Defense Force, being responsible in the creation of Kiryu and other leading mechs it also has two sub branches:

Pan Pacific Defense Corps

The Pan Pacific Defense Corps (PPDC), or simply known as the Jaeger Program, is a sub-branch of the KGDF that patrols and protects the western hemisphere of any kaiju threats, specifically the Pacific Ocean. Over seen by Marshal Stacker Pentecost, this branch is known for the creation of the Jaeger units, originally in response to the threat of the "Rift Kaiju", kaiju that came from deep beneath the ocean from an ancient alien race. Despite having destroyed various portals throughout the Pacific, there's still few that are still operational and need to be destroyed. Only in rare occasions does the Corps deal with other Non-Pacific battles. The Jaeger Units include Gipsy Danger, Striker Eureka, Crimson Typhoon, Cherno Alpha, and various others.

NERV

NERV is a special agency of the KGDF and is perhaps one of the most unique. Headed by Commander Gendo Ikari, the agency is mostly known for their special forces units known as Evangelions, which are androids that have been molded by the blood of a being known as an "Angel". The Angels are extra-terrestrial threats that have attempted to invade Earth multiple times through special gijinka units and had almost destroyed the world multiple times to cause something known by NERV as "Third Impact". It is unclear to the public what it means, as NERV has classified this information, but regardless it also helps out with down-to-Earth kaiju threats. The Evangelion units currently online are Evas Unit-00, Unit-01, Unit-02, and Unit-03, though there are some still in their final stages in development...

The Kaiju Gijinka

The Kaiju Gijinka are a race of almost human-looking species that have the capabilities of turning into their respected kaiju, as well as growing to giant proportions. These beings are known to live both on Earth and also beyond in space. However, not one gijinka is the exact same as the other. With their forms, they often tend to show that they are a gijinka from the various gear, like bracelets, necklaces, etcm or body parts, such as horns, tails, spines, etc. In fact, some can blend well enough to be walking amongst the humans unseen in their human form. Regardless, despite humanity's claim in booing every kaiju as a threat and potential invader, some of which aren't as destructive as one thinks. In fact, some are fully committed in protecting Earth from intruding kaiju gijinka. There are 3 classifications in which kaiju they so happen to be:

1). Earth Defender: Earth Defenders are kaiju that usually live on Earth and protect Earth from hostile threats. They tolerate humans but do not make a point to defend them, in which they are very territorial and won't often come upon city shorelines except if provoked or engaging a hostile. Notable Kaiju include: Godzilla, Anguirus, Gamera, Mothra, and various others.

2). Alien: Pretty simple, these Gijinka come from Space or from other dimensions. Most of the time they are hostile and want to take over the Earth. They can be summoned by alien races such as the Xillien. Notable Kaiju include: King Ghidorah, Gigan, Megalon, (Rift Kaiju), SpaceGodzilla, Alien Baltan, Zetton, and various others.

3). Mutant: These are kaiju, whether from Earth or not, that usually live on Earth but do whatever they want. Mutants have a lust for power that comes before all other concerns all working for their own, sinister agenda, to destroy everything in their path. Only because of their similar goal do these demons team up. If unchecked, these mutants could destroy human civilization. Notable Kaiju include: Battra, Biollante, Destroyah, Irys, etc.

Godzilla's personality is usually portrayed as a solitary kaiju, who often is seen alone or with her offspring. While she does tolerate some company from other Earth Defenders, usually they being closer allies and/or friends, she usually prefers to be alone otherwise. She can go into an enraged state of anger if someone happens to piss her off to an intolerable degree, usually if it revolves one invading her own territory, harming her allies, and most importantly, one who threatens the destruction of Earth. When it comes to saving all that she loves, Godzilla will do whatever it takes to achieve this goal, even if it means destroying everything that gets in her way. She doesn't like many regular people however...

History:

Godzilla's true history is rather unknown, but it's known that she comes from a long dynasty that is known simply as the "Gojira Dynasty". It's been theorized that this family had been living on Earth for hundreds of years, but scientists have only identified three of them, going only as far back as the 1950s.

The first Godzilla was identified in the year 1954, shortly after a nuclear bomb testing around Bikini Atoll. There, witnesses aboard the military battleships identified what appeared to be a large hulking mass, with sharp, maple-leaf-like, spines dotting down it's back. However, it wasn't taken seriously until around November 3rd, where the first Godzilla hit the shores of Japan and began it's rampage throughout the land, sacking city after city. The military tried to stop the beast, using every weapon and arsenal they had to destroy it, from tanks, to jets, even high voltages of electricity. None of them worked. It wasn't until a scientist named Dr. Serizawa, who invented an advanced super weapon that would finally kill the beast, which was known simply as the Oxygen Destroyer. When Godzilla was lured back into the ocean, the bomb was detonated, creating a deadly chemical reaction that ultimately reduced the beast into a skeleton.

Everyone thought that this would be the last they'd see of Godzilla. However, another being was sighted just a year later, but unlike the predecessor before it, it appeared to be a human-kaiju hybrid, and it even happened to be a female. She will become known as the Godzilla we know today, being at first portrayed much like the first one, but gradually been seen fighting off other hostile kaiju forces who would invade Japan or even from extraterrestrial threats from space. She has also been seen transforming into a giant kaiju of her own, looking very similar to that of the first, while also developing her own physical features. Many people even see her as a goddess, or some mythical being, with one person mentioning her as 'nature's order' and that she has 'the power to restore balance'. She even has become quite popular in various forms of merchandise. Regardless, she is both beloved and feared by all of humanity, they knowing all too well about the full capabilities of her sheer power.

The third Godzilla has been identified as the Second's daughter, or so scientists say, for even they don't even know her true origins. Some scientists say that more are still out there... just waiting to be discovered from the depths of the ocean.

Powers/Abilities:

• Atomic Breath: Godzilla's trademark and iconic ability is to spray a blue laser beam of radioactive energy. She can fire this beam of energy both during her human and kaiju forms. When charged enough or during a fit of rage, she can also unleash a devastating red spiral beam at her opponents, causing triple the amount of damage compared to the regular beam. This special beam is often used as a finishing move.
• Nuclear Pulse: Godzilla can unleash a powerful nuclear pulse that can repel opponents within a tight radius.
• Kaiju Transformation: Godzilla's kaiju transformation turns her into a giant 60 meter tall dinosaur-like kaiju, fit with jagged spines down her back, thick arms and strong claws, thick, stumpy, legs, and a long tail.
• Superhuman Strength: As a human, Godzilla can throw objects the size of a semi-truck, as well as slashing through metal plating and breaking down concrete buildings using her tail.
• Enhanced Regeneration: One of Godzilla's secrets in keeping on her feet in battle, or even being alive in the first place, is the enhanced regeneration that is in her cells. Weather in kaiju or human forms, she can heal up a pretty bad injury, say a gash on her arm, in around an hour, with more severe wounds taking several more hours to a day of healing. Of course, this doesn't mean she can't be killed, given if you are able to damage her grievously enough, but say that she can recover from some injuries that a regular person would unable to do.

Gipsy Danger may be an android, but one that can think independently and with almost perfect emotional ques on par with organic humans. She's quite a patriotic Jaeger, created as one of the first that represents her country of the United States. She's usually a fun person to be around, as well as almost undyingly loyal to supporting the human cause against any enemy kaiju force. However, she has been slightly more cautious around her opponents after one... accident, but being an android she was easily repaired. In fact, some say that she's even more fearless then she ever was before! Gipsy will just simply not quit until she completes the objective given to her.

History:

During the recent years of the early and mid 2010s, humanity had been finding more ways in combating the kaiju forces and defending the cities from such attacks. One such example are the creation of size-changing androids, made solely for protecting Earth's cities from these threats. With the success of those like the MechaGodzilla and MOGEURA programs funded solely on both the Global and Japanese Defense Forces (GDF & JDF) specifically, other major companies decided to make fighting machines of their own. The Pan Pacific Defense Force (PDDF) and United Nations from the western countries ,such as Europe and the Americas, decided to create what's known as the Jaeger Program, an organization who can release more armed android mechs to at the very least, protect the Western and mid-western countries from the imposing kaiju threats.

Over the years, the mechs have been categorized into marks, which are labels assigned to each Jaeger refers to the launch schedule. Currently, there's been 5 Marks over the years starting from the year 2015, with the Mark 1s being the first in their kind (Example: Horizon Brave), and up to the most recent Mark 5 units (Ex: Striker Eureka). Jaegers have no standardized design template with body-types vary widely within each “mark." This level of diversity among the Jaeger designs and weaponry was a tactical response to the high variability in Kaiju shapes, yet as the Marks go up, so does the price in creating them. But out of all the Jaeger forces, one has been identified to be recognized as the poster girl for the Jaeger program. Her name... is Gipsy Danger.

Gipsy Danger is a Mark 3 Jaeger that has been in prime service since 2017. Despite being an older model, created by scientists Releigh Becket and Mako Mori, she has proven time and time again to come out victorious in most of her battles against the ferocious kaiju. But while she may be a good fighting mech in battle, there had been times where she came dangerously close to death. One such example was when she was fighting a Category III kaiju known as Knifehead, who bit right through her frontal lobe programing region, almost leaving her for dead. Thankfully, she was able to take the kaiju down through sheer luck, but indeed it had made her more cautious when fighting these giant beasts. But despite that region being repaired, it also seems as if she has been more fearless against the creatures more than ever before, which could've been a rather "small" side effect due to the incident. She is one such example of both a powerful Jaeger and indeed a survivor.

Powers/Abilities:

• I-19 Plasmacaster: For each hand, Gipsy possesses an I-19 Plasmacaster, a particle dispersal cannon that fires plasma via a charged carrier rail, which wound and cauterize Kaiju anatomy, which is handy when dealing with one that happens to have toxic blood.
• GD6 Chain Swords: Gipsy also has two retractable GD6 Chain Swords which is created from steel-obsidian alloy, that can be used as solid blades or whips.
• Mega-Punch: Gipsy is able to dump much of its coolant as an improvised weapon and possesses a rocket for increased punching power in its right or left elbow.
• Turbine: Gipsy's Vortex Turbine maintains health checks and returned radio chemical readings in excess of safety parameters. The turbine can also be utilized to fire a directed heat weapon powerful enough to puncture completely through a grappling Kaiju when fired at point blank range.
• Twin Rear Jets: Gipsy also features two rear jets which allows for an increase in forward movement for a limited amount of time. They can be used to aid in the the Jaeger's ability to leap into the air, quickly decreasing the distance between it and a kaiju to land a melee attack.
• Size Increase: Like all the Jaegers, Gipsy is outfitted with a special height enhancer that increases her height up to 50 meters tall, as well as being able to make her back to normal size. It does waste a ton of energy, having a time limit of up to 8 - 10 minutes, depending on how much energy she uses, before she either shuts down or is forced to go back to regular size.

During her life as a child, Akane Yashiro lived a rather regular life as a special forces pilot. She was passionate when it came to doing her job when flying fighter planes and helicopters enjoying being high in the sky and flying at great speeds. While she is usually seen being very serious and silent while working, in outside situations she's usually quite friendly to her comrades, as well as her close friends and family.

However, when her mind was literally transferred into her new android-like body, her personality changed. While her skills and abilities in combat are still in prime condition, her social personality went a slightly opposite direction. She became more cold and reserved, often showing little to no emotion, saving for a few rare instances of anger or faint traces of PTSD. She usually resides in her quarters or workspace, simply doing her job as the chief commanding officer of the Android Division. But secretly, from within the cold exterior of her armor, lies a still beating "heart". A heart that vows to protect the ones she loves and cares, both human and android, from getting crippled and killed by the kaiju forces.... especially towards a certain atomic breathing kaiju.

History:

Akane Yashiro lived a rather normal life in Tokyo, Japan. She achieved good grades in school, made many friends, and basically followed in her father's footsteps to become a pilot for the Japanese Self Defense Force (JSDF) to battle the imposing kaiju forces. She has helped take down around four kaiju within her 3 year career, piloting her jet fighter and occasional battle helicopter. However, on one faithful day, it seemed to have been all over for her...

In 2002, Godzilla made landfall in Fukushima in a fit of rage, desperate for some atomic fuel to quench her thirst after a heavy battle with an unidentified kaiju. While she headed towards a nearby power plant, the military was doing all they could to stop the menace of Japan from getting to the power plant, with Akane joining in on the fight. While they did fairly well in stalling the weakened Godzilla for a bit, it suddenly turned a full 180 as she ultimately began to continue her run on the power plant, destroying many military tanks and jets. One of her atomic breath blasts, beamed right in Akane's direction, melting off her jet's left wing and ultimately was sent crashing down into the rubble below, with the ejection button failing to help her get out of the jet. She laid silently in the rubble, bleeding and knocked out in a comma.

The military sent help to carry the body of Akane to the hospital, where they tried to save her life. They didn't seem to succeed, with the parents of Ms. Yashiro waiting days and weeks for her to snap out of it. Sadly, they were forced to put her off life support...

But before she could be left for dead, the military canceled the connection and thought of something that could save Yashiro's life. The plan was a highly risky one, but if it succeeds, not only would she be alive, while still retaining most of her memories, but also a powerful weapon against the kaiju forces. They were going to take her brain... and implement it into an android weapon... all for free. It was a very hard decision to make, but eventually the parents decided to give it a go... thus was the creation of Kiryu... aka "MechaGodzilla Type III".

At first, Akane wasn't too excited about her body, actually a little horrified, but regardless she was thankful for the GDF in helping her to stay alive, even if it mean't that she had to live in this robotic "cyborg". However, this also came at a price of her own expense. Her personality, while still partially intact along with her memories, was not the same as when she was a human. She became more cold and reserved, often showing little to no emotion, saving for a few rare instances of anger or the occasional flashback of that faithful crash almost every night for the past six months until it ultimately went away on its own. More mysteriously, her right eye seems to be permanently blind, which results in Kiryu wearing an eyepatch for it. Weather it was from the crash, or the error in the android, no one knows for sure.

Eventually though, Kiryu quickly became to be the chief commanding officer of the Android Division in the GDF, observing all activities within the sister branches, which includes the Jaeger Program itself. But from within the cold exterior of her armor, lies a still beating "heart". A heart that vows to protect the ones she loves and cares, both human and android, from suffering the same fate she once had.... especially towards a certain atomic breathing kaiju.

Powers/Abilities:

• Flight Pack: Akane's primary weapon of choice in both regular and Super Armors is the flight pack on her back and waist, allowing her to fly fluidly in the air for long distances. In addition, the pack also comes with twin laser cannons on her shoulders and two forward firing rocket launchers and four batteries along its back and sides for launching guided missiles. Upon emptying its payload, the flight pack can detach from Kiryu's body and launched to push the enemy a safe distance back before being remotely detonated. It can also be replaced by weapons pods where rockets were fired; leaving the attached thrusters on Kiryu's body to maintain its aerial capabilities.
• Electrical Blade: For close combat, a short blade can be extended from Kiryu's right wrist which was not only able to penetrate a kaiju's hide, but was also able to discharge a crippling electrical surge into the opponent's body.
• Drill-Hand: Kiryu's right hand can collapse into a revolving drill, which allows to tear through hard rock and armored kaiju hide.
• Oral Maser Cannons: Only present when wearing the Super Armor, Kiryu can blast maser cannons for her mouth.
• Absolute Zero Cannon/Triple Hyper Maser Cannon: Kiryu's chest, both as an Android or in the Super Armor, can unleash two ultimate firing weapons behind a trio of folding panels that can deal a great deal of damage towards the opponent, but at the cost of wasting a hefty portion of her energy reserves. The Absolute Zero Cannon fires a ball of energy that flash-freezes its target to Absolute Zero, thereby causing it to disintegrate under the weight of its own mass at the molecular level, but wasting 40% of her energy reserves. The Triple Hyper Maser Cannon can fire a large volley of maser fire and can be fired simultaneously with Kiryu's mouth cannon, wasting less energy than the AZC. Only one weapon can be equipped at a time.
• Size Manipulation: Kiryu can grow up to a height of 60 meters and can then use her super armor. She can only stay up to that size for up to ten minutes at a time, due to the energy it consumes.

Godzilla Jr acts in a similar way to her adopted mother, only that she isn't as destructive or angry most of the time. In addition, she's also much more friendly to other kaiju opponents, as well as surprisingly docile to some humans, including to those whom acted as parental figures to her. She also isn't the one that would result to violence as her first choice, rather she'd want to keep the peace. However, if anyone decides to hurt her mother, she will be the first that would come to her aid. She occasionally visits the GDF lab where she was born to visit her surrogate "parents" in her human form, and is in fact the only kaiju that the GDF allows to enter the facilities. She can be considered an ambassador for the kaiju, or in this case, regarding Godzilla.

History:

Godzilla Jr was first discovered as an egg on an undiscovered sister island to Monster Island after a team of scientists were conducting environmental research on the island. At the same time, Godzilla also happened to arrive on scene, having an interest with said egg. However, said egg happened to be in a nest of another kaiju, said kaiju being the flying mutated pterosaur known as Rodan, who must've been taking care of it as if it were her own. As the two kaiju fought one another, the humans were able to hastily move the egg back into their ship, with Godzilla being able to defeat the rival kaiju and forcing it to flee.

When they got back to the lab in Japan, the egg hatched revealing a baby toddler that to the scientists' surprise, was an infant Godzilla! For several days the scientists took good care for the baby Godzilla, giving it all the love and affection it desires. That is of course, until Godzilla showed up in Japan to supposedly investigate the egg. At the same time, the GDF decided to test out their new weapon, the Mark 2 Mechagodzilla (not to be confused with Kiryu), and was put into battle against her. But at the same time, Rodan happened to make it's unexpected appearance as it also combated Mechagodzilla, but while doing well during the battle, even she was knocked out of commission. Despite the android being almost able to kill Godzilla thanks to her combination with a battle pack known as the Garuda, and was able to paralyze her, almost on the verge of letting go the final attack. As Baby Godzilla cries however, it awakens Rodan as it sacrificed all of it's remaining essence to Godzilla Sr, allowing her to develop the Spiral Atomic Ray attack and severely damage the android to almost rendering her unusable.

In the end, the scientists were forced to give Baby Godzilla to her and the two head straight into the ocean. Baby Godzilla was then introduced to another island known as Birth Island, where Junior would remain for most of her early years, until eventually growing into a teenager. Once old enough, she traveled with her adopted mother to Monster Island where she remained ever since. However, occasionally, she will sneak out back to Japan in her human form and visit her "surrogate" parents at their lab, despite Godzilla Sr not recommending she does.

Powers/Abilities:

• Atomic Breath: Like her mother, Godzilla Jr can breath out a fully functional, but slightly weaker atomic breath.
• Kaiju Transformation: Also like her mother, Godzilla Jr can grow up to 30 meters high when in her kaiju form. She looks quite similar to her adopted mother, but is more green, has a very light underbelly, and has very small dorsal spines
• Superhuman Strength: Same as Godzilla Sr, but slightly weaker.
• Enhanced Regeneration: Same as Godzilla Sr, but slightly weaker.

Personality:
What happens when a god has an existential crisis, Chernabog is a wreck of an eternal being. The eons of being summoned unto this plane of existence only to meet destruction, defeat, and blood have worn this great beast down and left behind a broken warrior who doesn't have the strength to fight for his place anymore. As it stands Chernabog is taking a "me millennium" on the physical plane, visiting a young spark of sentience in the sprawling nothingness of space.

"Tyke", as this vessel called itself, is a fairly lonesome spirit that tends to just sit in the background despite the stares of other mortals. He is allowing himself to live through a mortal lens, to experience life in a way he never has before and doesn't wholly understand... and probably never completely will. Ultimately what Chernabog wants is understanding, that ever present feeling humans are so enamored with... "Why am I here?", not something Gods usually concern themselves with... but here we are.

However it isn't all depression and fart sounds as Chernabog learns about human pleasures. "Henry Tyke", as his host was called in life, has had his soul completely scrubbed and integrated into Chernabog's being, giving him a fairly good idea of the human experience from one perspective and many of his mannerisms and interests have taken root in Chernabog. Giving him the air of a blasé nihilist, unconcerned with the mortality of man and more interested in seeking pleasure than establishing any legacy. As it stands Chernabog has little interest in fighting, only shifting forms to deter a kaiju from stomping around his "turf" as it were. However he isn't willing to risk getting banished over a patch of concrete and dirt so usually if a battle is going especially badly he will teleport away and find somewhere else to visit. He's yet to make any real connections with people, his emotions only now coming down to a level where he can pass as human to others, but once he does you can be sure that his fighting spirit will awaken as he becomes more and more invested in their continued existence. At the end of the day, he's learning how to be human.

History:
Chernabog and those like him were born in an immaterial realm made up the collective thoughts and emotions of all sentient life in the universe. It is a chaotic place where everything is in a constant state of flux, no laws governing its spaces. Chernabog and his kin weren't born as much as "Always Existed" once they woke up, a nasty affair as they all fought amongst themselves for identity. When the metaphorical dust settled Chernabog had a name and a long list of titles, powerful things that set him above and beyond his kin. Armed with this and the growing allure of the material plane he began to whisper his secrets to mortal beings, feeding them information and power from across the veil. And so began Chernabog's vicious cycle of whispering to mortal creatures, seducing them with power and favor before they summoned his consciousness from his home and stuffed him into a vessel where he would then rampage across the planet and the next before eventually being fought back by the forces of "Good and Order".

It went on like that for untold eons, the same process over and over and over until eventually the seeds of doubt grew deep enough to latch onto his heart. With every banishment Chernabog began to question himself, his enthusiasm for the next summoning dying, the pleasure he got from the despair of the ones he crushed undeath him tasted less sweet, he began to question himself until now you find him here. A depressed husk of a being, blindly going about in the hopes of finding something... Anything to justify sentence anymore while stealing away in the body of a young man who got sacrificed in his name.

Chernabog's Abilities Without Effort:
Awakening- Chernabog's ability to switch between Henry and his physical form, Awakening is an act that is heralded by a massive column of flame before Chernabog himself walks out of the inferno. As he is, Chernabog stands at 35 meters.

Daemon Physiology- Chernabog has no vital areas to attack and thus the only way to beat him for good is to utterly pulverize his mortal shell into uselessness.

Infernal Strength- Like all of his powers, Chernabog's strength comes from his home realm and the rampant energies that fill it. His strength is much higher than his size would suggest but he'd be much weaker than larger Kaiju.

Tears of Bael- Jets of liquified chaos are shot out through Chernabog's eyes, much more painful than any flame or laser.

Lesser Rifts- Small rifts into Chernabog's home realm, releasing supernaturally charged stones, multicolored lightning, or pure thermal energies in small volleys.

Chernabog's Abilities With Effort:
Ascension- The skies darken and rumble as Chernabog crackles with energy. His face cracks and a mouth full of jagged fangs forms as a roar erupts from deep within Chernabog's chest. He grows in size and strength, hungry for battle.

Raze- Much like the Tears of Bael, this large jet of semi-liquid energy flies out of Chernobog's mouth in a concentrated beam.

Greater Rift- Much the same of the above spell, the only real difference is the size and cost. These rifts are massive holes in space, a tear in the veil between this world and the debris of his home dimension. A barrage of energized boulders, lightning, and flames are released on Chernabog's foes. However the cost in blood is immense, needing either a dead Kaiju or tens of thousands of human lives.

Teleportation- Short range with a large cooldown, the teleportation is less used as an evasive tool and more of a gap closer as each teleportation begins and ends with a large fiery explosion.

Personality:
Rather rare among her kind she shows rather a lot of interest in humans in capacities other than potential cultists or insects to be ignored. She is particularly enamored in works of sci-fi and fantasy, but has gained a general love for all things human and is a practical sponge for knowledge.

As ly’lnd she is a proud and rather full of herself, looking down on all these young things that dare to challenge the spawn of an Old One despite her relative lack of experience in fighting. She is the somewhat benevolent queen/creator of the deep ones and tries to maintain an air of regality and poise in-front of them.

As Rose she is an excitable, intelligent, optimistic and curious scientist who admires humanity's accomplishments and determination. It could be possible to say that this is the real her, not putting on airs as a ruler of a people or upholding the honor of the Great Old Ones, she gets to fangirl over stuff much more freely and simply claim it is all part of her act.

In both capacities however she is intensely protective of those that are ‘hers’ which is her Deep ones first and then every human on the planet second. Also does not like to be shown up by others, either intellectually or physically, it looks bad in front of her deep ones and the now watching Great Old Ones.

History:
Of the Great Old Ones:
To the Great Old Ones the human race had been as much concern as bees where to an elephant. They strode through their lives on the great plains of the universe, dealing mostly with one another and the occasional foolish pride of lions. They did not pay attention as the bees built machines, guns and bombs to fight another, nor paid any heed when they unknowingly crushed them underfoot or dislodged a hive while grazing on a tree. When the bees killed a honey badger though, some of the old ones blinked, for such things should not happen. They particularly paid attention when all hell broke lose with every two bit monstrosity came out of the woodwork, and the bees fought those too.

So it was that humanity, and the creatures that masqueraded as them, came to the attention of the eldritch horrors from the beyond. They were not enough to be a threat, but some thought the humans should at least be observed and possibly seared to match their unknowable designs, concerned what they might become if they continued on this path unchecked.

The question of what should be done about all this was rather quickly solved when it was found out that some of the lowly spawn of the slumbering Cthulhu had taken interest long ago and had been engaged in what could have only been called a pet project involving the young race while waiting for her father's return. It was in this manner that ly’lnd and her deep one servants became in charge of human resources for the now watching Great Old Ones.

That is not to say that humanity’s futures is now an important part of the Great Old Ones affairs, only that it has been deemed worthy passing interest at best. So while Rose may act as if they are always watching, in likelihood humanity is now afforded a the occasional passing glance when before it was ignored completely.

Of Rose herself:
Originally one of Cthulhu's Starspawn she is one of the only of his line to have not sunk with the lost city of R'lyeh and as a result has spend most of her early existence wandering the earth’s oceans and trying to wake up Cthulhu. Unfortunately every time she does this either the cultists she has organised are thwarted by some madmen or Cthulhu half wakes, says the stars aren't right, and then goes back to bed. Suffice to say she has had enough of all that and has left the whole business for the old bugger to do it himself.

During her long and lonely isolation she has created the Deep ones as servants and researchers to entertain her with stories of the humans and to generally keep an eye on anything going on up there that might be a threat.

It was to her great delight then then that her servants managed to reverse engineer the technology that allowed the android size changing, letting her shrink and take human form to explore the world at her own leisure. The Great Old Ones ordering her to handle the ongoing situation was a second boon and so she took it upon herself to now physically protect her interests in the human race and found herself a position in the GDF through her infiltrators in order to stay close to the action. Humanity is both her passion and ticket to greater influence among the Great Old Ones, perhaps she one day will be counted among their number with the ascended humans at her beck and call.

Powers/Abilities:
Aquatic being: in all her forms she is more at home in the water than on land, capable of breathing underwater and swimming at immense speeds.
Draconic wings: allow for a slow, lumbering flight
Combat tentacles: gripping, crushing tendrils ensnare and constrict targets. In human form her long hair can act in a similar fashion.
Alien intellect: As a truly ancient being her capacity to hold knowledge is vast. Not necessary smarter, but has more information to draw on.
Eldritch Transformation: swap between a human and a large Cthulhuian body, vile and unnaturally durable, her true form is a lesser version of the Great Old One Cthulhu himself, standing at about 40 meters tall.
Lose 10 sanity: Can fire purple blasts of eldritch energy from her mouth and eyes. In her human form a purple gem on her chest and 3 on her hat/visor can do the same. These wound physically and also blast the sanity of the target, disorienting and terrifying them. However the people of the MonsterVerse are considerably more mentally resilient than those in lovecraft's work, having put up with the likes of Godzilla for years now, so these effects are usually temporary.
Deep ones: human sized loyal servants act as infiltrators to human society or as warriors who can help her fight
Telepathy: both she and her deep ones can communicate telepathically with one-another.
Even death may die: Cannot be truly killed, if delivered a mortal wound she will be banished to her palace, entering the same dreaming death of her father, but she will be far easier and more eager to awake at the deep ones summons.

Normal deep ones are strange aquatic beings that serve Rose and inhabit her palace near the ruins of R'lyeh, these mainly served as Rose’s companions and guards while she was confined to the sea, now they act as an early warning system and support personnel for Kiju attacks.

more important to here current goals are the large communities of half breeds that inhabit many coastal cities across the world where they can pass as human until about the age of 60, when they undergo a metamorphosis and must go join their brethren in the sea. These half breeds are all part of one of the oldest, richest and secretive of institutions on the planet, which is impressive when you consider they where created to provide entertainment for their creator. Up until recently the cults main purpose has been to gather wealth, members and funding science and the arts, now they are the cornerstone of the Old Ones’, or rather Rose’s, plan to ensure that humanity's future is one that serves them rather than is opposed to them.

With coastal cities being a prime target for the monsters now roaming the world Rose and her deep-one infiltrators were already rather involved with the human effort to thwart the colossi wreaking havoc on their shared homes. In these cities the juvenile deep ones can be found mainly in positions where they can help further the cause, from local police and politicians to scientists and technicians working with the GDF. Rose herself acts along with an scientific observation team who are sent to observe and study anything Kaiju related. This has giving her a lot of influence and freedom of movement in the GDF while also being able to intervene whenever she feels necessary, her deep one packed science team and guards able to cover for her absences.

Powers/Abilities:
They share the Aquatic being, Combat tentacles and Telepathy traits of their creator.
Lesser Eldritch Transformation:A few of the pure-bloods have been modified to allow them to assist their creator against the Kaiju and other threats.
Infiltrators: juvenile half-breeds are almost indistinguishable from normal humans.

I like to think that Rose and Mothra could go on "isn't humanity neat" adventures together in human form a some point.

As for starts it either has to be something big enough that it drags in 5 Kaiju on top of the human defenders, like a full blown alien invasion, the end of evangelion because that an organisation in the rp now, which is cool, or meany meany monsters all show up at once in one place heading straight for some mcguffin.

or slightly more silly some kind of social event that some how gets them together, like a Kaiju convention or a tea party at R'lyeh or diplomatic conference for Kaiju relations. That then gets crashed by more monsters.

Personality: Quiet, kind, benevolent, and always allowing her actions to speak louder than her words, Mothra is most comparable to a great motherly goddess. This mute Kaiju has always been relatively friendly with humans, her patience and understanding extending far into their history as one of Earth's first "Guardians". Now with the ability to appear in humanoid form, though, Mothra is the most curious she has ever been of human culture. Her inability to speak can still barely hold her back. Though she is excessively wise from many years of life, the giant moth Kaiju can still be found browsing the local temples and shops of Japan with awe, now having suddenly been introduced to a new atmosphere away from her home island. Otherwise, when faced with other Kaijus and threats, Mothra will only fight when truly provoked. The ancient moth knows how to pick her battles, and assaults only those who have imposed on that which she loves. Indeed, Mothra is the cinnamon-bun heroine of the monster world, serving her purpose dutifully.
History: Mothra was first created along with the Earth, a being of great power produced to look over the great land of life and it's infinite happenings. Along with six other "Guardians", Mothra saw human and animal kind rise into existence, the ancient civilizations we now speculate today coming into being under this ancient Kaiju like an ant hill and it's many soldiers. Sadly, the original Mothra would not be so blessed as to see all Earth could offer. She was soon mortally wounded in a battle against a fellow moth Kaiju named Batta, who's twisted sense of justice called for the eradication of man-kind. Nearing death, Mothra created a great egg on what is now Infant island in the Pacific Ocean. This egg, with the power to revive Mothra in the form of twin larvae from it's spotted shell, guaranteed the moth Kaiju would live for centuries to come. This was the great start of the Mothra Lineage
Soon, with the island becoming quickly populated by primitive humans, Mothra became a mythical being in human history. The inhabitants of Infant Island regarded the Kajui as their god, and treated her as such. Furthermore, on this island is where Mothra met the Shobijins; small, fairy-like 'human' twins that now speak on the behalf of their immortal goddess to this day. These happenings gave the ancient Kaiju even greater connection to the human race, and with them she gradually recognized the race's beauty. But, now, with her most current revival having taken place, and her ability to transform into a human having emerged, she is as close as she will ever be to humanity's beauty. With the transformative abilities she possesses, Mothra has become a shining light of hope in the communication between the human and Kaiju world. She happily swears to protect humankind from both the threats of other monsters, and themselves.
Powers/Abilities: In addition to the extreme strength and endurance common among most Kaiju, Mothra also exhibits the following abilities in her most current form;

• Flight
• Amphibian Capabilities
• Shape-shifting: Mothra is able to shape-shift from human form to gigantic, moth Kaiju form at will.
• Hurricane Wings: Mothra's 60ft. long, muscular wingspan is most certainly a force to be reckoned with. The female Kaiju has the innate power to whip up hurricane-force wings with her beautiful wings.
• Monster Telepathy: Mothra is able to telepathically talk to other Kaiju.
• Venomous Bite: A new ability now present in the Mothra lineage, the she-Kaiju is able to inject her enemies with potent venom through her powerful mandibles. This venom will slowly work on a Kaiju's body over time, weakening its muscle tissue and organ efficiency over a maximum span of 30 days. At the end of 30 days, the venom dissipates, and the Kaiju returns to normal. Mothra is able to use this ability in human form by biting others, but the effect is much less potent and only lasts 15 days. This venom cannot kill on its own. Mothra's venom is susceptible to nullification by vaccines, antidotes, etc.
• Wing Lightning: A power that is much more common among the Mothra family line, the giant moth Kaiju is able to summon arcing purple lightning from her enormous wings. The Lightning can only be summoned from Mothra's wings, and has a maximum range of 60ft. As well, though the lightning's path is ultimately decided by Mothra herself, it is most easily attracted to metal objects and beings.
• Immortal Lineage: When nearing death, Mothra has the incredible ability to lay a large, 30ft. tall egg as to continue her family line. The dying Mothra will defend this egg at any cost, very well sacrificing her own life to ensure the egg's own. When the Mothra does die, though, the egg will hatch and two large larvae will emerge. These larvae have no other abilities other than Kaiju Strength and Endurance/Amphibious Capabilities/Ability to Burrow. One of the larvae, in two years time, will mature into a full-grown Mothra. This new Mothra has the same morals, memories, and personality as their parent before them, but never the same powers. Both the egg and larvae are destructible.

Gigantic Proto Zoaloard Murakami

Personality: Murakami is a smooth customer even in the face of impossible odds. Topics like political and corporate corruption, especially when it disenfranchises less fortunate people, rile him up, but he's a fairly laid back person otherwise. That's a far cry from his more aggressive demeanor back in the day. The rage of being a victimized test subject no longer consumes him; the epic conclusion that left his captor's demise in ruins no doubt attributing to that.

History: Masaki Murakami was a freelance journalist for a maverick news company. He traveled across the world to exploit corrupt politicians and corporations. One of those corporations was called Cronos, a shadowy organization that had an alien council of Zoalords, whose agenda was to ultimately control the world by turning humanity into biologically engineered creatures.

In the midst of his investigative journalism, he was kidnapped by members of Cronos and taken to their headquarters in Arizona. Scientist there conducted a series of experiments on Murakami in an effort to produce something they've never attempted before: A human Zoalord. Through trial and error, they were able to implant a zoacrystal on his forehead without catastrophic results. However, there were traitorous scientist attached to the project planning to sabotage Cronos operations.

They managed to help Murakami escape captivity, taking him into hiding, where he networked old contacts and assumed a cover as an anonymous journalist. The years that followed became a restless endeavor for Murakami as he was fully engaged in a war against Cronos. Aligned with like-minded activist, they managed to successfully destroy the corporation, along with its alien Zoalord rulers.

During his stand off with Cronos and the Zoalords, he underwent another experimentation. The resistance needed more powerful weapons, and though they had them in the form of enhanced bio-booster armors like the Guyver units, it was not enough to take on the powerful Zoalords. Thus, Murakami and a team of scientist found an old alien research ship at the bottom of the ocean. He was able to make contact with the ship's A.I. and access one of its experimental power cores. It fused with the Zoacrystal on his forehead, and in doing so, enabled him to grow into a giant while in his Zoalord form. This upgrade also unlocked a hyper transformation. While dangerous to perform, it gave Murakami a powerful boost that turned the tide in the war against the Zoalords.

With Cronos gone, the members of the resistance went their separate ways. Other anomalies were cropping up all over the world and Murakami felt obliged to use his powers to continue safeguarding earth from harm. He is still an active journalist, and uses that as a way of traveling the globe and assisting those in need.

Powers/Abilities:

• Zoacrystal - The result of experimentation from Cronos headquarters. Murakami has an emerald zoacrystal embedded into his skull. It can appear and reappear on command, usually revealing its jeweled appearance when Murakami is transforming or using telepathy. It is the direct source for all of his powers like super strength and speed, with a special affinity for manipulating gravity energy.
• Telepathy - Like all the Zoalords, Murakami possesses telepathic control over Zoanoids and other lesser creatures. This also enables him to make psychic contact with all sorts of beings while in both human and Zoalord form.
• Zoanoid Buster - A modified .347 Colt magnum revolver that Murakami uses in his regular human form. The rounds that this gun fires carry three times the amount of gunpowder of the average magnum. Because of his Zoalord constitution, he's able to absorb the recoil without injuring himself.
• Gravity Blade - A blade of gravitational energy that produced from his hand when in zoalord form.
• Barrier - Murakami can project a barrier around himself to block attacks. He can also super charge the barrier to repel foes and cause irreparable damage upon contact.
• Flight - Murakami is gifted with the power of flight while in the zoalord form. He can also fly in space for a short amount of time.
• Hyper Transformation: Murakami is able to gain an exponential increase in power, tripling his abilities for a short amount of time. Hyper Transformation puts a great stress on his body, which can prevent him from transforming into his zoalord form for a certain amount of time (days, sometimes weeks).
