Name: Aaron Oosterbeek Gender: male Race: human Appearance: relatively even height male, slightly on the chubby side when it comes to the waist but his limbs seem to be pretty skinny. he has blond hair with blue eyes, a relatively childish face even though he can somehow make a terrifying death glare.
Personality: he is a weird one, sometimes percieved as slightly autistic by his tendency to seemingly go into his own world, thinking about a subject and ignoring everything else. Aaron is very empathetic and his anxiety disorder only makes seeing people doing dumb things even worse. he is also very opinionated and isn't afraid to call out when ideas are against what he believes or are stupid
Biography: Something went wrong during Aaron's birth, the trauma was so bad it was suspected he'd suffer cerebral palsy. Luckily, this turned out not to be the case. Due to the birth trauma, Aaron's parents were very protective of him. Because of the sheltered upbringing that followed from this, Aaron turned to video games from early age. Since then, Aaron's mind was usually occupied by games; be it planning that crucial move in his strategy games, or finding better ways to get stronger in his RPGs. Through the years of gaming Aaron had developed his reflexes as well as his strategical insight significantly. At school he was doing equally well; he was a smart kid and had no hard time picking up on things. While he might not have been top-of-the-class material for most of his classes, there was one subject he excelled at; science.
Aaron's normal, sheltered life went on without a hitch until that fateful day came along. He and his parents were driving to (the airport to) go to the Phillippines, as his father fell asleep behind the wheel, his mother fast asleep already. As soon as he realized this, Aaron lunged from the backseat, reaching for the steering wheel. It was already too late however. As Aaron janked the steering wheel to the side in an attempt to minimize damage, there was collision. The impact sent him flying, straight through the windshield. The sound of glass shattering and falling to the ground and the screeching of tires, followed by Aaron's body falling to the floor, dying upon impact.
Name: Jasmyn Gender: Female Race: Human Appearance:
Personality: Disinterested, easily annoyed and cruel. These words have all been used to describe Jasmyn in the past. None of these words is accurate however. While it might seem as if she doesn't care, Jasmyn is always paying close attention to the people around her. She gets frustrated when people decide for her, but other than that she's a calm and peaceful person. She has a soft spot for revenge- and payback, but will usually not set her plots for revenge in motion unless she deems someone has "forced her hand".
Biography: Growing up as the odd one out, Jasmyn has never really had many friends. She might've taken her fate in her own hands, if it weren't for the one friend she made in high school. This friend was both her best company and the keeper of her sanity. Plenty of people have seen her, but beside her one best friend, there are only a handful of people who have tried to talk to her. To bullies however, she was a common target. One day, when she tried to stand up for herself, she got beaten down. Less than a week later, when she was walking home alone, she was assaulted by the same bullies.
She tried to fight back, but the group kicked and beat her until she stopped. But she didn't. Every time she was kicked down she'd try to get up again. And every time she did, she'd get kicked down again. Until eventually, she couldn't get up. She tried, but her strength gave out. She kept trying for a while, as the group kept kicking her. As she noticed the blood pooling under her, she passed out, to never wake up again.
Life's Finale
Skills: Jasmyn was decent at most things. She loved working with her hands and as such was better at arts and crafts than science and the like.
Other: -Retaining vivid memory of her own demise, Jasmyn gets stressed if her thoughts are left to wander. -Jasmyn is insecure about herself and dealing with other people.
Personality: Shy around new people, and even with people she knows Lupa is very quiet. She prefers just doing things instead of talking due to her stutter. Lupa grew up in a very sheltered home so she doesn’t really know much about the world or anything beyond the forest she grew up in, making her naive and sometimes stupid. But Lupa has a good heart and can understand emotional instinctively, allowing her to easily see when people are lying or distressed.
But when Lupa is in her beast form, she’s much more savage and barbaric. While it only awakens when she’s hungry, in this form Lupa is nothing like her old self at all. She fights a lot, kills anyone she wants, and eats whatever meat she can get her hands on. In this form Lupa talks a lot about how killing is natural, and that only the strongest makes the rules no matter who it hurts. Not really pleasant, and the only way Lupa can retain control is when this form has its fill for food.
Biography: Lupa grew up away from the city and civilization, among monsters known as Werewolves. Unlike some monsters Werewolves were capable of forming communities for themselves, and often fought other monsters for food, territory, or just strengthening themselves. Lupa’s clan never stayed in one place for long due to the Demon King’s armies forcing them away from many lands, but they could never find a place among civilization due to their beastial natures. And even among these werewolves, Lupa was very sheltered. Her father died saving Lupa and her mother from the Demon King’s soldiers, and since than her mother kept Lupa safe at home, not wanting her daughter to ever leave and get hurt. But because she couldn’t go out to even do basic things like hunt, Lupa never made many friends. She loved her mother, but she wanted to see the world.
This resentment started to grow inside of her, creating a void in her stomach that no amount of delicious food could fill. Where most werewolf children were able to change between their humans and beast forms at an early age, when Lupa was a teen she still couldn’t. Until one day, after growing old enough that Lupa should have left home already, her mother still demanded that Lupa stay home. In a burst of anger Lupa exploded at her mother, shouting and yelling at her about how unfair she’s been and that Lupa needed to see the world on her own. As tensions grew Lupa suddenly changed into her werewolf form, and it was powerful despite being the first time she’s ever changed. Lupa overpowered her mother and went on a rampage through the countryside for a week until Lupa was able to take control again. When she did, she found herself in the middle of a slaughtered family, a family she killed when she was in her beast form.
Since that day Lupa swore never to change back into her beast form again, but she also wasn’t going to go back home. She wanted to see the world outside her mother’s protection and learn what there was out there, both good and bad.
Skills: Beast Form - Lupa is capable of turning into a powerful werewolf, a creature strong enough to face on demon lords with nothing but their claws, fangs, and ferocity. They grow stronger with age, gaining additional powers as well as just being tough to kill. Lupa’s werewolf form is controlled by her own hunger and the moon's setting. She tries to control this form by eating a lot, but on full moons she will be forced to change into her Beast Form. However on new moons she can't change at all.
Tracking - Lupa is a skilled tracker who utilizes both the knowledge of her surroundings as well as her animalistic sense to find her target. Whether she’s looking for a stolen necklace or an outlaw, all she needs is one hint and she will find it.
Archery - The only hunting skill Lupa learned as a child was how to use a bow and arrow, and that was only because she had a friend in the pack who taught her. Lupa is scared of fighting at close range because the smell of blood makes her hungry and makes her want to transform, so fighting from long range prevents this. Her keen sense allow her to detect her enemies from afar and around her, making her a decent shot.
Other: While Lupa wants to help people and make them feel better, her upbringing and nature as a werewolf often causes her to clash with people. While she’s scared of her beast form, she sees no problem with eating people if they’re dead, and if forced to fight up she isn’t afraid of using her powerful jaws to rip a piece of her enemy off their body.
The clothing she wears came from the home of the family she killed when she first awoke from her beast form, and she’s simply been buying new clothes whenever they’re damaged or dirty. She mostly wears clothes for warmth, and doesn’t find being naked a problem until she gets cold. Though she does like pretty clothes.
Lupa has a habit of sleeping outside near bushes or trees, and finds beds to be stuffy and uncomfortable. She has a very hard time sitting still and can only stay in place if she’s eating something.
Lupa also likes to collect random things and put them into her “treasure box”, which can be anything from bags, baskets, and actual boxes which she hoards her treasures. What counts as treasure can be a bit odd for others, as Lupa collects anything from acorns, rocks, dead bugs, live bugs, wild animals, and body parts.
Lupa doesn’t understand the concept of money or wealth so coins and jewelry have no value to her beyond trading with others for stuff, and even then she would throw them away if they’re inconvenient. Though this also means she has a bad habit of stealing everything she wants instead of paying for it, which often leads her to getting chased off.
Lupa has a habit of picking her teeth when she is idle or thinking about something.
Name: Aimee Reiterpallasch Gender: Female Race: Human Appearance:
Personality: Aimee carries herself like a noblewoman. That is to say, haughty and above the common rabble. While she does consider herself an adventurer, she also believes that most other adventurers are simply barbarians and brutes best used as fodder instead of true explorers and hunters. She has lost much hope in others and relies mostly on herself, and when she works in a team she generally only expects them not to get in her way. There is a kinder side to Aimee that she shows rarely, and generally only to those she calls her friends. Her friends need to be powerful, competent, and kind.
Biography: Aimee comes from the noble home of Reiterpallasch, explorers, scientist, and adventurers who have made many great discoveries for the benefit of mankind. Her father, the current heir of the Reiterpallasch family, is an alchemist who just recently discovered a cheap, controllably type of explosive propellent. Aimee’s mother was a former adventurer who often fought alongside her father, and help keep him in check back when they were young. It was her mother who taught Aimee how to fight, but it was her father who made and gave Aimee most of her equipment.
Aimee was raised to be wary of others. She was often warned by her father about how everyone could and would steal her fortune and fame away from her, and her mother told her some stories about the darker side of humanity. Thus Aimee grew up distrusting most people and becoming highly independent. Even now while she has good relationships with her parents, she doesn’t intend to stay at home and will carve out her own legacy.
Skills: Aimee is a skilled combatant, capable of both ranged and melee combat. She prefers to use weapons such as thrusting swords or daggers, believing brute strength is a crutch when you have to fight against larger opponents who can easily out do the strength of any man. Thus you need speed and precision to not only avoid attacks, but also deliver critical blows. While Aimee is a decent archer she prefers to use her father’s home-made firearms which use his explosive propellant to fire silver bullets at her enemies. She has a wide variety of firearms back at her home that she’ll use to suit the prey she’s hunting at the time.
Aimee herself is very fast in both body and mind. She can analyze and react to situations in moments. Her formal education allows her to make calculations about her environment and her enemies to tip the battle in her favor, and her agile body allows her to avoid most attacks and out-maneuver her foes. She believes speed is power, and as long as she has that she needs nothing else. That being said, Aimee is not all knowing and tends to act passively when faced with an opponent she knows nothing about. And because she doesn’t favor armor or brute strength, Aimee has low defenses and if her mobility is hampered she would be in a very bad situation.
Lastly, Aimee’s formal class is Inquisitor. If a paladin is a cross between a warrior and a cleric, an inquisitor is a cross between a rogue and a cleric. Aimee’s class relies more on cunning and preparation instead of overwhelming might and indomitability. As an inquisitor Aimee also has access to a few holy magic, as well as unique magic only an Inquisitor can know. Her signature spell is called “Reload”, which normally just allows you to put a piece of ammo into a crossbow using only a voice command. However Aimee has tweaked the spell to allow her to do the same but with her bullets and guns, saving her a lot of time from reloading. It’s a very low level spell, but she uses it more than her stronger spells because of how useful it is.
Other:
Aimee’s spell list from strongest to weakest - Reload: Readies ranged weapons to be fired again. Sunlight: Creates a bright light. Can be dimmer if needed. Can also float in one spot or move wherever Aimee needs it. Cure Light Wounds: Restores a small amount of damage. Remove Poison: Removes any active poison from the target. Blessed Weapon: Gives her weapon Holy Properties, allowing them to be highly effective against the undead and demons. Iron Chains: Shoots out iron chains that wraps around and binds the target. Smite: Strikes her foe with a divine bolt. Does massive damage against the undead and demons and prevents them from recovering their health for a short time. Against non undead or demonic opponents, it only creates a blinding light that stuns the target for a few seconds. Sanctuary: Creates an impenetrable wall of Holy Energy in front of Aimee. It only lasts for as long as Aimee stays to maintain it, and once she moves away the wall will collapse.
While firearms are a staple in Aimee’s arsenal, her signature weapon is the Reiterpallasch, her family’s estoc. It is made of mithril, which makes it much lighter than normal metals as well as giving it silver properties. Her father has also fitted the Reiterpallasch with a gun built into the hilt, allowing Aimee to shot and stab someone at the same time. The Reiterpallasch as a sword specializes in thrusting attacks and doesn’t have an edge, but it does make her sword sturdier and she can simply beat people with the blunt side. She often uses a pistol named after her mother, Evelyn, which differs from most of her other pistols for having a long barrel. This allows for more accurate shot but makes it a bit heavier. If needed, it has a reinforced handle so she can grasp it by the barrel and bludgeon someone with it.
Name: Yaj (Pronounced as Yang), formally known as Donny Yang Gender: Male Race: Orc Appearance:
Personality: Boisterous but mostly friendly. While he’s quick to get into fights he generally seems like a nice guy if you aren’t a total jerk to him or those around him. He’s the type of guy who can come across as pretty lazy, but when push comes to shove he works really, really hard. If only so he can go back to lazing about. The type of guy who, if given two weeks to do something, won’t really do anything until the last two days, but will work really hard in those two days to make something decent. He can be kinda pervy, enjoying the perks of his body and new found self-confidence in himself.
Though he plays up his orcishness, Yaj has some amount of savvy as he often watched and played these sort of “traveled to a fantasy world” situations. He’s largely embraced his new life, but keeps his eyes out for “Death Flags” and “False Flags”. Death Flags are obvious things that could get him killed, such as accepting “Easy Jobs” involving the likes of goblins and slimes, or telling a pretty girl that he’ll be back from the war. Sometimes he has to trigger these things, but generally speaking Yaj does his best to avoid getting into that sort of situation in the first place. False Flags are something like Death Flags, except in other media they could easily trick you into thinking it was the right thing to do. Stuff like saving the girl, or giving food to the homeless lady who promises to give you magic powers or something. Stuff that as a normal person reading fantasy, you’d think would grant them some karmic reward. But being something of a cynic, Yaj knows that sometimes there is deception, or things are just as they appear: sometimes that girl is being chased because she’s a criminal, sometimes the old homeless lady really is a old homeless lady.
Going in a bit deeper, ever since Yaj had died and came to this world, he has had a nihilistic view of life. He now knows that there is something of a “beyond” after death, and has seen it for what it is. It’s just another stage in his life, with the same sort of people you’d expect to run the place. Though unlike some cynical nihilists who uses it as an excuse to bomb cities and cause chaos because nothing matters, Yaj prefers to use it as a justification to be laidback and not stress out over his struggles. People die, often for stupid reasons, but that is no reason to make others feel like shit for it. Enjoy life as you can, and live life when it’s tough. When the world is cruel and your purpose ultimately meaningless, you must make mercy and meaning for yourself.
Biography: The one known as Yaj wasn’t always this fine cut of orc you see now. He was actually once a human called Donny Yang. He was just a regular guy in the 21th century America, shuffling along with his dead end job after dropping out of college. He was a fat guy who’s folks always got on his case about a lack of a girlfriend and how out of shape he was, despite back when he used to be a martial artist back in highschool. Nowadays however the only fighting he did was online, in fighting video games.
One day he was at the mall looking to buy himself a new pair of headphones and some lunch when a child fell off the third floor balcony. Donny wasn’t trying to save the kid and in fact didn’t even realize he was there, but thanks to his large, flabby body, the child landed on Donny and was saved. Donny however was not; his neck snapped when the child fell on him. But for being the right man in the right place, Donny was given a second chance at resurrection.
When he met Aqua he was fairly respectful at first, though it was clear after she explained to him the circumstances of his death that Aqua was kind of a bitch. But he figured that was on par with most gods and played along with her alternative suggestion of going to this fantasy land and ridding it of the demon lord. Seemed like a good time. When offered a god item to help Donny thought long and hard. He didn’t want to be reliant on a single item, knowing that this isn’t a videogame where key items are locked in an abstract concept of inventory. So instead he asked for strength: he wanted to be an orc. As his current body was fat and weak, he wanted to be a big, strong orc, one who’s health will never deteriorate no matter how unhealthy he lives. Even when faced with the challenges of his appearance, Donny was confident that as long as he was strong, people would overlook his appearances. As long as he could stand up for himself and make money, people wouldn’t care what he looks like later. So granted his new body, Donny made a new life for himself, changing his name to Yaj, and set out into this brave new world.
Skills:
Orcish Strength - In this new orcish body, Yaj is much more capable as a fighter and could do things he couldn’t have done before, such as break weapons with his fist, grapple his enemies, and jump through the air. His body is tough and heals from wounds faster than most, and could even withstand levels of damage that would normally kill a human. That being said he isn’t immortal and could still die by mundane means such as getting his head chopped off or stabbing him with enough arrows. He’s just tougher than others are naturally.
Brawler - Yaj used to take Martial Arts back in middle school, and joined the karate team in high school. While not the strongest or most skilled he did manage to reach the championships and won, thanks to a combination of his actual ability, luck, and cunning. With his new body, Yaj can utilize his strength much better. His preferred methods of Martial Arts are less kung-fu and much closer to brawling, with dirty shots and grappling. He actually specializes in taking on faster opponents and shutting them down, knowing that quick, hard hitting enemies are more threatening than big, tough, but slow ones.
Improvised Weapons: What makes the likes of ninjas and monks deadly isn’t their skills with exotic weapons, but their skills with mundane objects. In a pinch Yaj can use anything from a couple of rocks, furniture, to his own enemies as effective weapons. Sure anyone can just pick up a chair and hit a guy with it, but Yaj can take a bench and beat a guy down like a work of art. Yaj’s preferred improvised weapon is his wooden mug, which he has used to beat all manners of warriors in contest of drinking and combat.
Magic Resistance - An orc’s body is strong not only against weapons but magic. As Yaj grows stronger, his body is more capable of resisting the effects of magic, rather it’s mind-controlling spells or demon fire. Short of magic that does mundane things like throwing giant rocks at him, Yaj will be able to shrug it off just as well as he can shrug off punches. That being said his Magic Resistance is a double-edge sword: not only does he resist hostile magic but he also resists friendly magic as well. Magical healing is more difficult to use against him, and even things like healing springs are less effective. Certain types of magical healing such as magic potions work just fine, but if it comes from a spell chances are it won’t be working at 100%. Additionally, Yaj’s own magic resistance prevents him from using spells himself, though it doesn’t stop him from utilizing skills that manipulate or seem magical as shown below.
Chi - As a monk class, Yaj has access to a source of magic called Chi. While it acts much like mana, and indeed is effectively the same, Chi comes from the strength of the body rather than the mind. Thus Chi isn’t affected by Yaj’s magic resistance as they are less magic affecting his body, but his body doing things that seem like magic. That being said Yaj chose the Brawler archtype of the Monk Class, so most of his skills are focused on mundane brawling. He still does have access to some Chi abilities however.
Gentle Descent - As long as Yaj is conscious and hasn’t used up his Chi, he can fall from any height without taking any sort of fall damage.
Steps in the Wind - This ability allows Yaj to be highly acrobatic, doing all sorts of flips and jumps through the air with a fair amount of ease. He can focus and use his Chi to jump beyond what he is normally capable of physically, but it uses up more Chi the higher he goes.
Body of Steel - This passive Chi ability just makes Yaj’s body tougher, allowing him to reliably use his hand-to-hand skills against things like rock monsters or armored knights. It doesn’t make Yaj resistant against weapons and such, it just means that when he does things like punch a iron golem, he doesn’t break his hands. In addition his body counts as magic against enemies who are immune to mundane weapons but not immune to magical ones.
Empty Burden - The only Chi skill Yaj had put much points into. This skill allows Yaj to multiply his encumbrance level to the point of super strength. He could potentially carry up to one thousand pounds (Half a ton) without any sort of encumbrance issues. This also allows Yaj to utilize armor despite being a monk, as the armor’s penalties would not apply to him. He intends to take a few more levels into Empty Burden to effectively gain a permanent Freedom of Movement.
Purity of Body - This passive ability makes Yaj immune to magical and mundane disease. Basically, he can never get sicken. He can still get poisoned however, which he accepts because alcohol is apparently a poison and he does like to get drunk sometimes.
Cooking - Not really a skill on his card and more of a hobby. Yaj likes to eat well, so he cooks well too. While he’ll probably never be a royal chef he can make a mean dish, especially with stuff he finds in the wilds. While he does mundane dishes well enough what makes this skill warrant mentioning is that Yaj knows how to cook and prepare monsters to be delicious meals as well. Usually anyways.
Foraging - In addition to his above cooking, Yaj is pretty good at looking for food in the wild. This was more out of necessity than choice since in the beginning Yaj had no money and needed to find food off the streets. He can make tea out of flowers, sauces out of mold, and stew from rotten corpses. Nowadays with a bit more experience under his belt he can actually look for acceptable forage such as mushrooms and wild fruits.
Scribe - More of a useless talent rather than a skill, but Yaj can write incredibly fast and has excellent handwriting. He tried to get a job as a scribe, but his orcish body scared off most people who would hire him. He had thought that an orc scribe would be a novelty but it seemed most people thought he was just trying to rob them.
Other: Though Yaj has made enough of a reputation for himself to get work and live comfortably, he is still homeless. He generally falls asleep at the guild after a night of partying but has no permanent places of residence. Everything he owns is in a large backpack on his back.
The only notable thing in Yaj’s possession aside from his adventurer’s card is his fishing gear. He won it in a lottery, it is a high quality set of fishing gear consisting of a rod made of mithril, fishing wire made of dragon hair, a hook also made of mithril, and a magic lure that tricks fish into thinking there is food on the end of the hook. Yaj could have sold it for a lot of money, but it really helps him when he needs to find food.
Yaj loves to eat mushrooms of all types and styles. Fried, simmered, in a stew, roasted, or even raw. His love for mushrooms is so great that he is immune to any toxic mushrooms, or even poisons made from mushrooms. This is reflected in his favorite alcoholic drink, Greenmote, which is actually a poison derived from foreign mushrooms that causes paralysis and mental degradation. It also makes your skin glow green. Usually this has to be mixed into a cocktail, but only Yaj drinks it straight and asks for another round.
Yaj is also a gold-card customer of the local Succubus Club, and thus through the card he can order the service of the succubi whenever he wants for a 10% discount.
Personality: Yuji comes off as an honor bound centaur knight who lives by a strict code of honor that dictates what she does in her day to day life. But that's not how she usually acts. Yuji on an unprofessional level is someone who's quick to judge others or get an idea of how they are, but if they are friendly towards her, she's willing to accept them but still, holds her judgment of them towards them. Despite calling herself a knight, Yuji can be very foolish and fears people pointing it out to her, feeling as if they would tell her that she's not a legitimate knight because she doesn't have the intelligence to be one.
Biography: Yuji comes from a small unmapped village run by both centaur and humans, both of her parents are both butchers and hunters that supply their home with both meat and furs. While she was growing up, she mainly played with friends and did her best learning in school, when she grew bigger in size a sudden urge began to overtake her, an urge to see more of the world, and stories of adventures only made her desire greater. Then one morning, she unconsciously attempted to satisfy her hunger for adventure, by just leaving the village without telling anyone and before she realized what she was doing she was lost and didn't know her way back and feeling that the way back would be too far Yuji pushed herself to continue forwards towards adventure.
At first, she was afraid to push herself forwards, feeling as if her friends and family would come and look for her, but soon found the courage she needed to keep moving forwards knowing that if she wanted to adventure, then she would need to face danger with bravery. Once she came to a town, the centaur woman laid her eyes on a knight clad in armor from head to toe with a big sword, and it was then Yuji knew what she wanted to do and wanted to become, the ultimate symbol of bravery and power, a knight. Before she dared to take a quest, she did small jobs for people such as delivering things or foods to people across town, looking after people's children, and saved up her money to buy a set of armor and sword, while it wasn't the best armor in the world it was something.
Skills:
-While Yuji isn't a master of using a sword, but she wields a claymore, well enough to defend herself and attack enemies properly without looking like she doesn't know what she's doing. During fights with one or more enemies, she attempts to fight capitalizing on her size and strength to win instead of using skill, such as charging through a group of enemies in front of her and using her rear legs to kick any stragglers still standing.
-When it comes to defense, Yuji relies on her armor to do the job of a shield instead of using one. If she needs to, Yuji is as quick or faster than an average horse and can easily out run most two-legged creatures.
Other:
After buying her armor and sword, she used the money left over to buy herself a home big enough for someone her size, but unfortunately, she doesn't have any furniture, and it's only a large living room, big closet, and a kitchen.
Before she leaves the house, Yuji next to always brings her sword and or armor just in case something would happen.
One of the things that Yuji hates the most is to be compared to a horse and having people along with children ask to ride on her back as if she's an actual horse.
Personality: Serious, introverted, and standoffish; those three are the first impressions you would receive when you first meet her. She is far from the type that would crack jokes in a bar while drunk. She is more the kind that will sit in the corner and not say anything at all. She is polite however, and she hates rude, rowdy people.
Biography: Born to a human and elven couple, she is a half-elf that grows up around humans. Like her mother, she took the trade of producing potions and medicines. And like her father, she had an adventurous streak with her, making her go on a journey around the land to look for new ingredients she could make potions of. She has a curious nature, wanting to know more about the art of potion-making.
As for the demon king threat, she doesn't consider herself a fighter, so she's willing to just leave the matter to stronger adventurers. However, this doesn't mean she wouldn't be willing to help if she happens to cross a village under the threat of the demons. She simply only wishes to take fights that she's confident in.
Skills: Potion-making mainly. Her potions aren't just for healing however. She can make one that enhances the strength of the one drinking it. She only drinks it when she really needs to however as the ingredients for it are pretty rare.
She fights with her elven agility, using her poison-coated dagger to strike at the enemy up in their vulnerable spot. In this respect, she fights like a rouge. But she also carries some explosive and acidic potions to throw at the enemy in opportune moments.
Joy is a very cheerful hyperactive individual, she always is very sweet but can have her teasing bad moments from time to time too. Joy is aware she can use her body to her advantage by seducing and is not afraid to use it to get free food or something else she wants. She usually acts out of kindness and can be very caring to her friends when needed. She liked to play around with others and is a very bad trickster. Most others don't take her all too seriously due to her funny and dumb way of acting which she can get frustrated about sometimes till the point of getting mad. She had a serious side on her and absolutely hates it to be seen like a dumb cat girl when she really means it.
Background
A human NEET that lived on her own in a rented apartment, she didn't have a real job but earned plenty by her twitch donations each month to live around from. She was a high level osu player that participated in country tournaments and usually came in second or third with their country team. She streamed each day on twitch, mostly she was just playing osu but she would do some fun small indies came she enjoyed from time to time. Her twitch fan base mostly stuck around for her cute appeal and cheerful and upbeat personality. All the twitch donations made her able to buy like manga and a soft bed together with a whole lot of small cats that she really adored and played with all the time. She didn't have any cages or anything for them, they would be sleeping in the bed with her she did everything together with them. She was so obsessed with cats that she usually wore a pair of cat ears too, it raised her fan base a whole lot. People would donate a lot of money to see some girl say cat like stuff it was a strange world that Joy didn't really understand but accepted.
One day at her all time high she was furiously clicked away in her osu game. At the end of the song it appeared that she rose the last rank that she needed and became number one. Out of victory she jumped and danced all around her room accidently tripping over an empty cola bottle. She bumped against her bookshelf close to her pc and had broken her neck in the progress live on twitch. There was nothing to see on the cam except for the book shelf having hit her and a quick yelp. At the end of the day they had tracked her down and shut down the broadcast while recovering her body and kittens. The kittens all got a new home after the story came on the news. It was confirmed Joy had died after being crushed by the book shelf leaving many in tears.
Meanwhile a new life began. She sat across a mighty goddess explaining to her what had happened and what was gonna happen. She had choice, obviously she chose the cool one, being reincarnated into another world. It was like one of her favorite novels no game no life. She was told that she could chose an item, aqua had given her a special offer. To be like the ones she always wanted to be. A nekomimi! It was obvious she was gonna chose that and so set so done. The only downside was that she had the traits of a cat too. Very high agility but not very intelligent.
Skills Reincarnation - due to being a nekomimi she has the god of death on her side, she can die 9 times in total without actually dying. Each time she dies she get a non hurting scar mark on her wrist indicating how many times she has stood up from the death again by her own powers.
The law of cat physics - She can only land on her legs no matter what happens, she doesn't take any falling damage from moderate heights.

Personality: Stiles is a man attempting to better himself after a short life of no good. In his past life, he was not afraid to beat somebody for giving him an odd look or to take something he fancied, and that kind of behaviour is hard to let go. Julius wishes to better himself and become a respectable person, but on the inside is very selfish and not very empathetic. Violence is also a big part of his nature, and as he has very little formal education, it is what he resorts to most often when things don't click with him.
He's very stubborn and won't change his mind. He fears almost nothing and would have no problem winning a staring contest with a live dragon. Pride may seem like a big thing to him, but he's not prone to getting into absolutely hopeless fights and will resort to dirty tricks and brutal methods. He may not appear big, but he can certainly be intimidating when he wants to.
Again, he's not a people person but he's trying to improve. He would do well with somebody to act as his voice of reason, and in things that pertain to stuff a violent thug wouldn't normally get, a patient teacher. Quite literally, he's a violent thug trying to be a respectable citizen and there will certainly be mistakes along the way.
Biography:
Julius Stiles did not choose the thug life, the thug life quite literally chose him. Julian was orphaned at a very young age as his parents were collateral damage in the crossfire between two rival gangs. A regretful thug took him in and attempted to raise him the best he could. Of course, being a thug himself, Stile's adoptive parent was not the best role model, and by the time he was a teen, Julius had grown to be a rather violent punk.
He made a name for himself on the streets as somebody not to be crossed, despite his young age. When he wanted something, he would take it, no matter what. His victims ranged from the unsuspecting lonesome pedestrian on a road at night to small groups of gang members. People who resisted were lucky to get off with a few broken bones, and many learned not to fight him. Every so often, a gang would go out looking for him and attempt to beat some sense into him, though that would always turn out bad --- for them. Julius was certainly not the most pleasant person to hang around. He had few people he spoke to and only one person he would consider a true friend. This man shared nothing in common with Julius. Rather, he was a man Julius had attempted to mug at one point. The man, Lyle, almost happily gave up his wallet and spoke as though he understood Julius. Almost as if he had been in a similar situation.
Julius found himself unable to actually take the man's wallet, and by coincidence had met him again later on. From there, they would often speak over lunch and Lyle never seemed too surprised nor did he seem like he feared Julian. It was... a unique feeling, and since he never got along with anybody else before... he welcomed it. This man could be blamed for Julian's death. In an uncharacteristic moment for Julian Stiles, a dangerous thug, he pushed the man out of the way of an oncoming car at the cost of his own life. It was the only thing he had done that he'd been proud of.
When offered a chance to resurrect or save another world, he figured he could see what he could do. Perhaps he could become somebody he could be proud of.
Skills:
High Pain Tolerance - Natural: Near immunity to pain gained from a very rough and brutal life on Earth. Smaller wounds will not impede him.
Blunt Weapon/Dagger proficiency - Natural: Julius is skilled employing blunt objects to his opponents in a very effective manner. Daggers and Knives as well.
Berserker's Rage - Passive: As a berserker, Julius gains some strength and speed when he's damaged in battle. When he is closer to death, he enters a state of bloodlust, losing most of his ability to think rationally in exchange for huge boosts to his speed and strength.
God Item - Berserker Armor: A suit of armor that provides decent protection, but whose real strength lies elsewhere. The armor can temporarily fix injuries: binding bleeding wounds, reinforcing broken bones, and forcibly fixing dislocated joints, piercing the flesh with thin barbs and spikes if necessary. It does not heal the user, but itself when it is pierced or compromised in any way.
Personality: A smooth talker. A soothe sayer. A man who stands by his word to the fullest, unless he doesn't want to. That's what a liar does. You make people believe every word you say without questioning it so you can lure them into that perfect sense of security then spring the trap, robbing them blind before leaving them for dead. That's the kind of person Erlend is in his heart. A criminal. A lowlife with little regard for anyone but himself and the treasure he hopes to collect. Though it is worth mentioning that there is a strict no killing policy when robbing non-monster folk. That is not because Erlend carries any kind of real personal attachment to people but instead believes that if he kills everyone he robs successfully then all the easy targets will disappear.
Biography: None. No personal stories. You wanna know about the past you gotta pay. Pay hard. Thousand gold coins gets you a glimpse into my past, my mom and dad, my adventures, but it's double if you wanna know about what I've done in the last five years. Walk away kid you can't afford what I know. Far as I'm concerned, until I get paid, I don't know nothin' about anything.
Skills: Erlend is a Restraint mage, meaning that a majority of his learned skills involved removing an opponents ability to retaliate or move.
Paralyzing touch - Hand contact on an opponent releases a surge of magical electricity, paralyzing the target for a few seconds preventing movement or retaliation. While it is a short duration and requires direct contact, it can be used regularily.
Flash Freeze - A quick blast of cold temporarily freezes the surrounding area for 30seconds, preventing movement until the frost dissipates. Less effective on monsters with natural immunity or large bodies.
Thorn vines - Druidic magic learned on his travels, Erlend creates rapidly growing vines that will wrap around the enemies body until they cannot move their arms and legs. Attempting to escape the vines will cause the thorns to tear into exposed skin. Effect persists for 5 minutes or until cut.
Blind - Less a spell and more of an alchemic creation, Erlend tosses sand into the eyes of his opponents. Usually followed up by a flash freeze. This skill is not long lasting, persisting for about 15s, but it does cause mild eye irritation making it harder to see until washed out.
Disarm - Similar to a thief skill 'steal' this ability will remove an opponents weapon forcibly from their grip. The weapon is flung from their hand about 10 feet away. Heavier weapons will not go as far. Only removes weapons currently in hand.
Silence - Elrens signature skill, removing any sound he makes for up to 10 minutes. It is limited to only himself and the actions he makes. Even an explosion would make no noise if he was the reason for it.
It is good to note that none of these skills do any real damage.
Other: Wears a plague doctor mask. For flair, more than function. Main choice of weapon is a Sharp dagger and a concealed club used to knock out unsuspecting foes.
In short, an otaku of sorts. In less short, a weapon otaku. Disinterested in most of the little things in life, Elra only really shows her excitement when interacting with some new, or extremely old form of weaponry. Of course, she shows interest in the things alive, but she is also the sort to forget to eat and sleep when absorbed in learning about something new and interesting.
On that line, she has a fascination with learning. Anything that can improve her craft or even potentially be useful in the future. Some would call it on obsession, but she just calls it interest. And of course, without something to interest you, what purpose is there in living really?
Biography: Elra was born the daughter of a metalworker in modern America. Her father worked in a factory that manufactured and machined parts for weapons of varying sizes and utilities. He didn't have this job because he absolutely needed the money, but rather because working with metals and weapons was his passion. A passion that he easily passed down to his daughter.
Elra was very young when she started to develop an interest in weaponry. It was fascinating to her to take machined items apart and discover exactly how they functioned. What minutia and finite measurements were required to make something function the way that it did. Her father definitely did nothing to stunt this desire to learn, and enabled it throughout her growth into adulthood. He bought her model guns and and weapons from varying time frames. Muskets, semi-automatic rifles, pistols. Anything that she wanted to learn about.
But her desire to learn went past that. More than just guns. Weapons of the past. Swords. Bows. Spears. Anything. Why were they made the way that they were. What was the optimal balancing or such weapons. How were the arrows made to be so aerodynamic. How could it pierce armor most efficiently. She got herself apprenticed to a modern day blacksmith. Someone that mostly made showpieces, or historically accurate weapons for enthusiasts. This not only gave her a chance to test her various theories on the optimal way to craft these weapons, whether it be material, shaping, temperature during creation and the like, it also gave her the chance to test them. She made armors that would be tested against those same weapons she made. While this may not have made her an expert in any of these weapons, she did spend a fair amount of time on the proper ways to use them. They couldn't be tested properly with her randomly swinging now could they. This all gave her a strong body and an iron resolve. If this were the past, she would be a prodigal blacksmith. Unfortunately, her talents were of little use in the modern era.
Regardless, she would never have the chance to try and carve out her proper place in the world. How ironic that she would be killed by her own passion. She was testing the strength of a new combination of metals on a practice dummy. The metals did not hold together as she had hoped, causing the blade to splinter and fracture. One of these sharp splinters pierced her heart before she could cover her vitals, ending her life almost instantly.
Her story was not over though when she appeared before the goddess. Of course she took the offer. What better place to test weapons of her own creation than against monsters and demons! Adding in potential magic additions to these weapons, the potential was endless.
Skills: Basic weaponry technique: Elra is at least knowledgeable about most all forms of weapons. From swords, to spears to bows, she at the very least knows how to use the weapons and not kill herself while using them. . . . except for that one time. That one doesn't count. Regardless, this knowledge comes from years of study about not only techniques, but also endless research about the most efficient ways to use said weapons.
Magic Inscription: The ability to inscribe runes into the spiritual core of a weapon to create an "artifact" or a "magic weapon". The different runes that she magically inscribes cause a variety of effects dependent on the runes used, materials and physical shape of the weapon or artifact etc.
Studious Mind: Not an ability per say, just a personal trait. Elra has a very strong memory, easily imprinting the information required for her forging. The percentages of metals contained in her crafted weaponry as well as forging techniques, runes and what rare materials combine with one another to create artifacts with varieties of traits.
Gift of God- Magic Blacksmith: With a thorough understanding of the structure of something, Elra can magically form a construct of that item. This construct is temporary, lasting usually a short while before dissipating back into magic.
Personality: Kismet is sort of playful and is often considered childish even in some cases people think she is actually a child because of her actions. Though she tends to be overprotective and can sometimes come off cold in the way she expresses this. She has a thing against Aqua and everything to do with her.
Skills: -Granting a single gift to those who have parted -Has the ability to summon a staff at will, but the staff is usually used liked a spear -The ability to see a possible future. But no matter what she does she can not change that future.
Other: Tends to visit those of which she has given a gift to.
Personality: In a world of magic users and adventurers, where combat, medicine, and research all pivot around those powers that transcend human mundanity, those without such power are forced to the delegation of side characters or faceless individuals who only exist as a means of moving from point A to point B. This is an absolute fate, and it is this absolute fate that Claudius wages war on. He is an unsalvageable chuunibyou, an outspoken buffoon, and a mad scientist who has dedicated his life to turning the magical into the mundane.
Claudius believes himself to be a "protagonist", a being destined to defeat the magic-archy that he perceives the world around him to be. In the face of tyranny, he stands tall, an unbending oak to weather the storm. In interactions with others, he is recklessly ostentatious and loudmouthed, a ridiculous jester without peer who is prone to monologue at the slightest opportunity.
Viewing all others as subordinates, inferiors, lesser beings, jesters, and the like, he proclaims himself as a being of a higher standing. Even with regards to those who are objectively above him in ability, such as otherworldly monsters from a higher dimension, transcendent gods who exist outside of time, or his childhood tutor, he does not change this demeanor. For those rare individuals who either believe his words or pretend to play along though, he treats them as valued "sidekicks", though they are still of course disposable pawns. As one could imagine, he has the concept of protagonism so hammered into his soul that it cannot be divorced.
Probably great at parties.
Biography: Claudius descends from a relatively long line of wizards, but was born with a total lack of magical talent. His parents were not unreasonable people, and did not view him as lesser for this circumstance, raising him as they would any other child. The trouble came when Claudius was seven and his parents had their second child, a girl, who was blessed with an aptitude for magic at an almost absurd level. While Claudius's parents were not the type to show overt favoritism, they couldn't help but show a trace more attention to their prodigy of a daughter. This was Claudius's turning point; refusing to accept the reality around him, he proclaimed that he would overcome all magic as a concept, and become something greater.
The next decade was filled with Claudius moving to this endeavor. Neglecting his all else, shutting out all others and immersing himself in his work, he tinkered endlessly to realize his dream. His parents, not wanting to dissuade him from his passions, helped fund his projects, and every so often Claudius actually managed to churn out an invention that worked relatively well and even earned some money thanks to it. While not having the most familiar sibling relationship, he did get along rather well with the sister that had caused him all of this grief, mainly because she was just a little kid who didn't realize that her brother was a fucking weirdo.
Regardless, even this was not enough. Proclaiming that he could not stay at home forever, Claudius abandoned his family name and replaced it with a new one, "Westerson" (as well as adding a middle name for reasons unknown), before leaving home to travel the world as an adventurer, see new sights, and perfect his craft. He told his parents that when he saw them next, he would have conquered all forms of magic and slayed the Demon King.
He asked them to keep sending him money, though.
Skills:
Invention God: An inventive mindset coupled with copious amounts of funds from his disdainful parents has turned Claudius into a man who can create new things with only a moment's notice. Despite not being a reincarnated individual, his creations are something that seem to violate logic. To this end, he carries various seemingly random materials on his person. His inventions are made with the concept of "replicating magic", and are nicknamed "Claudiuscraft". For instance, he possesses a "C Rank Flame Manipulation Claudiuscraft", which is a can of compressed air and a match.
Improvisation: Capability to create tales and ideas that make the Silmarillion seem tame, all in the span of a second and a half. A ridiculous existence who can weave complex narratives that not even he can follow.
Monologuing: Capacity to deliver hour-long monologues at the drop of a hat, seemingly without ever pausing to take a breath.
Other: Possesses a backpack that he has nicknamed "Dimensional Decapitator". It is actually a pocket space he bought off of an Arch-Wizard for the sake of storing all of his Claudiuscraft and related materials.
