Their real purposed is that they are a form of troop transport for the Rarians like the escape method that the Rarians used to escape.
They are oversize cannons designed to launch sky piercer rounds(basically rounds made for boarding ships). though they don't have enough power to hit anything out beyond the stratosphere.
But basically this shells when they hit the ships it will latch onto the ships, giving the Rarians inside enough time to get inside the ships.
As the exact size of the cannons there are three types of this from the portable ones designed to launch an individual to a certain distance, there are the massive ones that can hit something in the stratosphere.
for the Rounds they would be the size of a small house just enough to house a giant and a few animal morphs inside.
A novel concept. As long as the shells don't get shot down with all the Rarians inside them :P
@6slyboy6 Looks like I have some more reading to do. I don't imagine my race is good at running a blockade, but they are phenomenal at surviving a siege; considering what plants and fungi consider "food and supplies" is drastically different than what meat does.
Yeah, no worries man. I never planned on yoi joining the blockade thing, so don't really worry about it. I am drafting up a post for you, but it may take a day or two to get a full post written and posted.
@6slyboy6 I might have to do a 3 part single post to catch up the black sun to current events. Since their whereabouts are not really known I will pretty much be doing before the arrival/invasion and during depending on your new post, I'll get home soon I will read as soon as I arrive from school.
EDIT: After reading I can still do my single post but I won't be engaging just yet, I will however catch up the Black Sun to current events, I will also wait for @Legion02 and his post before I act upon everything. I've laid out my general idea on a piece of paper but I lost it so I'm making another one *Shrug*
We have all the time in the world. As long as you tell me you need time, imma put the IC timer on a halt. If you want to adress any events before the invasion, you can also adopt the same timestamp I am using, so we can clearly see the events and their progression chain.
Now I had a long think about it, and after seeing how you failed to use all the resources avaible for you, granted by the open world and your mind's infinite creativity, I see that I must come to your aid.
When the Mekahr told Sophrus to form the FPA, they didn't mean make a new one, but rather to reform the old. But seeing how the Gargans aren't likely to do that for a while (especially since the location of the old FPA was a few sectors away), I decided to go give you a much needed boost in manpower and fleet strenght. It will come in the form of three options you can choose from.
1: The Srik, a fanatically religious race of winged lizards who inhabit an outer rim planet with a dense jungle. They have been relatively quiet since the fall of the FPA, and obeyed the EOM rules. Back in the old days, they used to be a strong military force that opposed the FPA, as the troops could get to a high altitude and then glide towards their target with their "wings", much like the flying squirrels, but far deadlier. They have little in the sense of fleet power, and instead rely on their superior physical forms and their unbreakable morale.
2: The Follok, a race of pacifist voidborne insectoids, who have inhabited many asteroid clusters long before other races discovered space travel. They avoided the EOM forces during the great war, and have been hiding ever since, making their own fleets to transport their population from asteroid to asteroid. They are excellent shipwrights, but they lack the sufficent military experience needed to make good warships. However, they already have many ships they can spare, and they can easely fabricate new ones in space, as they need no oxygen and can easely cling onto any surface.
3: The Gurkha, a race of slave keeping vampiric aliens who once owned the sectors 18 to 15 and even some of the outer world planets that are unknown to the EOM. They were by far the strongest opponent the EOM had to face, as the races of said sectors were kept under a constant fear of these strong aliens, and were urged to fight the human armadas. Some of them were essentially integrated into this Empire for their strenghts, and the EOM waged a costly war with the Gurkhan Empire before it fell some 70 years into the great war, marking the end of the human's conquest for the Triangulum. They now see a chance to regain their lost lands and once again establish their empire, and could provide manpower and powrful ships for the rebellion.
Whichever race you choose will be added into the game instantly, while the rest of them may or may not join the RP further down the line. For now I will be in control of them, but if I someone asks to gain control of them, I will not hesitate to give it to the players. I trust your sound judgement in the matter, and hope that you choose wisely.
