@SleepingSilence Im talking about the broad consensus of experimental evidence, vetted and reviewed by qualified peers.

I don't see any reason to take a theory on genetics seriously, when it is advanced against the opinions (and evidence provided by) of the body of biologists and anthropologists who study it. Anyone feelings on the matter are irrelevant.

I think patriotism makes sense, I think we can only do so much for the entire world, and that out ability to effect the people around us has a limited range, so some sort of social investment to those within your borders for the most part is a good practical thing.

But obviously, thats not the same as disregarding all other nations, I think we can all do our little bit.

Patriotism, isn't inherently wrong or right. But you can be happy in the country you were born in and unlike being happy with things that you literally can't control/have no actual value. There is value in appreciating what you have, and what others may have sacrificed for you in the background.

You can go overboard, it can look cheesy, it can even become propaganda. America Patriotism (the only wrong kind for most folks.) is also overly criticized and probably has been at least equally lambasted by everyone, including (and maybe especially other Amuricans. *spelled wrong on purpose*)

I certainly find it more appropriate than the other examples I can think of.
