Pridopus stared at the mug the Authoress offered oddly; it wasn't like they hadn't seen coffee - or its equivalent - before, but more so that it had just been so long.

... Whoo. Funny story. I didn't even know about Sundrop.
I named myself that over a pretty big stretch.
I wanted something that sounded simple but incorporated my nickname in some way.
In most sites I go by Sol, and most people make sun jokes because of it.
I took that and implemented it into the word 'raindrop', replacing rain because the opposite of rain is sun.

So yeah.

I didn't know what Sundrop is either, haha. I googled everything your characters order, though, so don't worry about ordering something obscure or regional. If if it's on the internet, then John has probably already read about it in the Hithhiker's Guide. ;)

Hey guys, feel free to make up what the many rooms and hallways in the Restaurant is like. I just mentioned a Safe Room, in case your characters want to escape from the chaos that may or may not happen.

Also. I think I'm going to keep a steady one-post-every-two-three-days pace myself. If that's a bit too fast (or too slow??) just lemme know.

i prefer fast-paced RPs, as i could post probably five or six times a day, on average. but i dont mind a slower pace as long as it doesnt die. in my experience, slow-posting threads die faster :/

i fasted last year for yom Kipper. why are yall fasting, if you dont mind me asking?

I'd appreciate a medium pace, not too slow and not too fast either. I'm having enough trouble juggling between studying, RPing, and watching anime/YouTube as it is. XD Sorry I haven't posted, still tweaking my post to make sure it doesn't sound ridiculous lmao.

Well, it's currently the month of Ramadhan, which has been decreed by Allah to be the month of fasting for Muslims. It's one of the pillars of Islam. We do it to appreciate the less fortunate, be forgiven, become better people, rest our digestive system, and distance ourselves from sinful stuff. Fasting starts at sunrise and ends at sunset.

@Night_ Star why would you assume i might start a religious debate? i was just asking out of curiosity. Hebrews fast for the same exact reasons, just at a different time of the year (though its a good idea to fast more often than that for those reasons as well)

Sorry, I was just being cautious. Got called a terrorist once a few years back when I mentioned I was a Muslim online so now I'm a bit more wary whenever conversation turns to religious matters? I'm already anxious enough in a normal online conversation so I try to avoid stuff that could potentially irk someone. ^.^"

ive been called a terrorist and im not Muslim or Jewish. im a white dude from North Carolina. XD but i dont really worry about how those people view me. now, its when close friends or family start that really gets to me. thankfully, i have (mostly) understanding family members and i dont socialize with anyone many people, so i dont have to worry about it too much.

i will admit though it's a lot scarier online because everyone magically grows a pair of balls and says shit they would never say in real life. but i just block those people (btw, is there a way to block people on this site? ive already come across a couple...)

Ugh, I'm sorry if my latest post doesn't make sense?? She's full on Authoress now, the joy. I've always had difficulty in keeping her character consistent.

Out of curiousity, any of you guys participating in Expanding Horizons? It looks interesting to me, but I know for a fact I can't handle any more group RPs right now. Maybe next year lmao.

@Infamous Empath Also, been meaning to ask, the Infamous can't get affected by supernatural/magical powers, right? Does that include telepathy?

if the telepathy is magic/supernatural-based, yes. if its psionic, like someone evolved it or a scientist messed with someone's brain and gave them a genetic mutation that allows them to use telepathy, then they can send thoughts to D'ren but cannot read his mind.

Huh. Just as well then. It's hard to explain the Authoress' abilities, but they're a bit of both types. Like I've mentioned somewhere earlier in the OOC, she's a work-in-progress. *coughforseveralyearsnowcough*

lol D'ren is 16 years old, oldest RP character i have next to Abdiel, his alternate reality double who is literally the opposite of him in every way.

if the Authoress' ability to read minds is because you say she can (kinda like my Ambassadors), then its a moot point. you can read his mind. because Samyazaii is the third most powerful evil angel in existence, and the sixth or seventh most powerful being ever (in my story), so her power to negate the use of other powers on D'ren is completely dependent on being more powerful than the other individual. since you are real and she is not (theoretically...), you are automatically more powerful than she is.

that is if the Authoress is anything like the WorldWeaver...the WorldWeaver is just me, their literal author. hence why the WorldWeaver could never actually be a character. at best, an incarnation of the WW would be an Author's Avatar or Ambassador.

Ah, gotcha. As I've said, there is a reason behind her powers, but it's pretty half-baked and if I try to explain it now, I think I'd just confuse myself even more.

That being said, I got so caught up with checking my post, I forgot about the fact that her watch replicates and stores any and all new powers/abilities/enhancements she comes across. Which I guess would nullify Samy's powers (and basically everyone else) then because then the Authoress would be able to counter it with similar magic, if not at a higher level? Which would then reach the aforementioned moot point.

And nah, the Authoress isn't anything like the WorldWeaver lmao. Her only role is as the Embodiment of Restraint and to keep the balance between chaos and order (or so she's been told :E) in all dimensions (the Randomer helps a lot with that). Manipulating dimensions and crafting alternate dimensions out of them is a bonus. Basically, she just picked "The Authoress" as a name for herself since she can't remember her real one ever having one.
