I mean, I'm here. For a few minutes, but nonetheless, I'm here!
Regarding the tournament: Myke had a lot of good points. Generally, the first couple days of the tournament would be melees, jousts, and the like. Official 1v1s wouldn't take place until about midweek/end of the week. However, currently, we're about midway through the week, so some 1v1 fights are popping up. Since we're partway through and not as many stages are required for official events, unofficial duels and fights can and do take place. Generally, a white mage has to be paid a bit in order to provide the barrier for these unofficial matches, but that's usually taken care of by the wagers placed on these fights. Yeah, the White Mages promote illicit gambling. Gotta pay for all them sexy white robes somehow.
As for mages vs non-mages in the official tournament, it's generally separated. Different brackets, outside of the melees, where the number of mages employed by any one side is capped. After that, it's segregated.
The nonofficial matches hosted by your friendly neighborhood White Mage mafioso are more or less anything goes. Try not to kill the other guy outright. White Mages are good, but it IS pretty hard to reattach a severed head.
