Are we going to be playing through a few fights in the tournament before the assassination happens?

Clementine probably got stationed as a guard somewhere. I wonder if he'd be with Princess Amelia, or like in front of the palace or something? Haha or maybe he was with the King, had his ass handed to him when he tried rushing Outreux, and just spends the entire first part of the RPG blacked out.

I think it'll function more like everyone gets one post in then blam, the whole thing goes to hell with the attack. That's my guess... So, uh I don't think we'll be going through a few of the tourney fights, unless the charys are involved in it.

But regardless, at least most of us have an idea with what will be happening before everything crap out.

I apologize for all of the delays and whatnot, but I'm pleased to announce that the first IC post has been launched, and with that, the RP has officially begun. Feel free to post away, my lovelies!

As a bit of reference, I'll be including just a mock-up map of the city, to sort of help people visualize where everything is in respect to everything else.

Spell list is still in development. For now, just assume that most of the reoccurring spells will be available. Specialized mages can have access up to third tier spells (-ga, III), while Red Mages should stick with second tier (-ra, II). This isn't a permanent restriction, just something to hold everybody over until the official list is finished. (I'm an excruciatingly slow typist.)

Also! Due to the large number of characters involved in this, I'd ask that all posts include both a header with POV Character's name as well as any appropriate @mentions for those interacted with within the post, if you all would be so kind. Otherwise, we're gonna have a bit of a mess here.

Oh good, I'll just list off a few spells Blaike has and keep the rest ambiguous until the list is fully fleshed out!

Regardless, I'm guessing these are somewhat 1v1, anything goes to a certain extent? Magi and warriors alike are intertwined in each arena and there's no distinguishing what from who, correct?

Its a tournament, I imagine a lot of things go on- Tourneys are more than just a bunch of 1v1s in a bracket until there's only one winner, there's typically a bunch of events- like a fair for violence.

Though I'm not sure about a Final fantasy styled tournament, I know medieval ones have your typical jousts (which is in your typical 1v1 tournament bracket), and archery contests. They also have a melee- two sides organized for a mock fight, and a melee for non-noble peoples- which is literally just a dozen people slugging it out in a pit until one person is left.

With the tournament ground being the size they are, I don't think 1v1s would be available for general public- more likely someone who has a survived several rounds of a melee can qualify for a bracket for non-mounted individuals.

Hmm... maybe I'll partially abstain from writing up a complete post for now then until it's made a bit clearer. May or may of not had my dude go against some noble guy who was a part of the order in a 1v1-fest... unless I'm forgetting anything from the talk with Ogo...

There's also magic to take into consideration too, so there are most likely be magical happenings there as well.
