SWAT 4 is much, much better with the Elite Force mod. I can finally know whether or not it was actually justified to shoot someone instead of having to decide on a whim.

Holt shit, so many good memories of SWAT 4! It was pretty much the only tactical game I ever "mastered" as a kid. Never had the patience for games like Rainbow Six or Ghost Recon (before they started following the shooty-shooty-bang-bang action trend). Wasn't SWAT 4 also the game that let you take over the snipers?

I've been playing Monster Hunter World, the first in the series that I've played. It's been proving to be a fun experience, especially when done in online co-op. I wish I was a lot better at the game but that'll come in time.

FF6 does have some of the most compelling characters and hilarious moments in the entire series. It's like 7's less edgy and more realistic older sister that everyone has the hots for. The second half of the game is also exceptionally well done. I never really played much of 1-5, and don't plan on it tbh.

7 is overrated as hell, even if it is a really good game. 8 is dumpster trash, 9 felt pretty good for the parts that I played, 10 is very nice, 11 was a good mmo, 12 was an mmo without online support, 13 was dumpster fire, and I think 15 is possibly one of the worst in the entire series.

If anyone is planning on playing FF6 anytime soon, I'd suggest the Brave New World Hack. It is a terrific revamp of the game that does so much for the game I can't be bothered to fucking explain it all. After playing it there's no way in hell I'm ever going back to vanilla FF6's broken mechanics. Truly it's a beautiful passion project that keeps the story and characters most fans love on point while making the gameplay not a complete fucking trainwreck.
