@TheUnknowable Pretty much any character you make will be accepted. I don't anticipate finding something I won't allow. If that somehow is not the case when you post your characters information then I'll let you know.

@Infamous Empath tell me a bit about your human warlord from Hell and perhaps he'll be allowed. I'm open to tweaking things. I try as much as possible to not limit the creative freedom of the players. You can either tell me here or in PM if it's something you don't want other players to know until later.

@Game Maker

Well, let me ask something that usually makes or breaks a RP for me. Aesthetics.

How far are you on the sliding scale of realistic vs cartoony looking characters/world?

@KoL I'm not sure how to answer that in all honesty. I wasn't allowed to watch anime growing up so I personally rarely use anime/cartoon images for characters; however, I do typically use cartoonish images for my D&D characters. I can post a pic of what I typically use for my female half elf ranger if that'll help give you an idea.

I have found in fantasy settings that the pictures of the world tend to be more cartoonish if I feel a need to post an example. Give me just a moment to find that picture for you.

Well, I was just wondering if you were one of those GMs that enforce Real Life pictures for characters (since I have a dislike for using photos of real people in RPs), or ban anime based one on the basis of them being too unrealistic? I guess I should have elaborated my question better the first time I made it.

Just to be clear, this is the usual level of the images I use for illustration:

From this in the softer side:

All the way to this in the more serious one:

As long as it's not mandatory Real Life pictures I'm ok with it.

By the way, will you be allowing Feats? I really feel that the game is a bit lackluster without them, but I can make do if you are not into it.

@KoL I will allow them if I can find a comprehensive list. I used to have 1 but I cannot seem to find where I saved it. Too many flash drives and too many kids who steal my flash drives -_-

@Warborn123 You absolutely can but you may want to wait until I have the time to get information about religions up to make sure the religion is something you want your character to be a devout follower of. You can also choose to have him break away from the religious order based on information that will be revealed early on in the first quest. So it's entirely up to you. Very rarely will I tell you that you can't do something.

On that note, I have to go to work. I will be checking in periodically on my phone so I'll try and reply to anything when I see it. If not, I'll be back on after 2200 EST.

Well, I was meaning just the ones on the Player's Handbook, since I don't own/have access to any more material than the Core Rules Set.

@Warborn123 The city of Ulna Themar used to be an elven city until it was captured by humans. It has remained under human control for centuries but still maintains a strong elven influence. Lord Eteyar is an elven god that is popular among other races as well. His symbol is a river as his followers believe all things are connected, good or bad. They typically believe in balance. Actions "good" or "evil" are both required for a balanced life and world. Most monks believe in the sanctity of life as it is a gift from Eteyar but that does not mean they are non-violent.
