But it is the writing which inspired physics. They're inextricably linked in a symbiotic relationship. For it is writing that enabled the mathematical physics behind the atomic bomb. :P

Enabled? In the sense of being able to write down the words on the paper, perhaps. But that's not really a science. You might as well say that trees enabled the atom bomb, because they wrote it on paper.

Comparing 'writing' to 'physics' is like comparing the wheel to chemistry. One's a great invention, the other is a field that contains a vast percentage of the total sum of human knowledge. And is also awesome.
