Nah, but the thing is, the whole rock thing isn't actually a curse, because Sisyphus is still in a sense the master of his own destiny because he is free to choose to push the rock up his hill, and in acknowledging the absurdity of his actions he is able to achieve a higher level of understanding.

One must imagine Sisyphus happy, after all.

I don't know - I'm planning for a big part of Arthur's character arc to be 'learning how to have interpersonal relationships', so I think a long-term pen pal situation is a little out of his depth at the moment. :P Maybe they just know each other in a 'social function' kind of way?

I mean Anne isn't exactly buddy buddy material either. But I get what you're saying. If you need a reason for him to interact with someone though she has spent the past 3 years with some of the most renowned scientists on the other side of the continent. Albeit focusing on different disciplines than he does. Also his family being so highborn means that they'd likely hate her, the Gress' are like the cockroaches of Orewyn's higher class.

@Sisyphus@Tackytaff Well, it's possible that Elian could know either of your characters, given that he's serving the Royal family. A knight and a spy might well work together. And an inventor could be seen in passing.

Depends what he was doing, Anne left three years before, so when he was 16 after being a knight for 6 months (?) and hasn't been back since. I don't know if they'd recognize each-other or anything but maybe.

Well, because it'll annoy me to no end, I'll just use my current favourite song - The Heritors of Arcadia. Doesn't exactly 'fit' Elian, but I love the song and Elian might well too. (I advise you to listen in particular to the lyrics... quite interesting, aren't they?)

@Tackytaff True - I must've missed that, if it's in her sheet. But if she's been gone for three years, no, he might not know her. He could always know of her, but I've no inkling as to if the royal family might give their secrets to one such as him.

@deyinger I sent you a PM for approval of some adjustments I made to my character. I wasn't very happy with how she turned out, so I went back and edited some things to make it better!

Also, if anyone wants to collab with me I'm open to do so! I believe my character will be most likely be traveling with her family. I'm not sure how interactions with other characters might happen due to that, but if anybody has any ideas, let me know.

ALSO, also, I've been super inactive for this RP because it's summer and instead of relaxing and not being in school, I decided to take a summer class AND work all the time! I had to go through and read everyone's characters and posts....you guys like to talk.

I think Darius, Laurelin, Boen, Arthur, and Anne should form an Anti-Socialite club. I nominate Darius as president. Their meetings could mainly consist of staring blankly at each other from across a table, either unsure of what to say or waiting for someone else to speak first.

It will be glorious.

Edit: Oh, a quick re-read of Arthur's bio reveals that he's not as Anti-Social as I thought.

The war ended a year later and that’s when the taxes grew too much to bare. They had to sell quite a bit of their land, both horses, and all the pigs in order to keep the farm afloat. All of the workers were also let off, since there was no coin to spare for wages. What was left of the farm quickly fell into disrepair as Seamus just couldn’t do it all himself. Food was scares

I'm more curious about how much she actually blames towards Darius himself, considering he would have been very young at the time. And Darius might not come across as sympathetic, due to his cold nature and the fact that he doesn't believe people should apologize or accept responsibility for the actions of their parents/ancestors. He would feel some sympathy; he would just try to avoid showing it.

She wouldn't blame him. She would blame the crown more than anything since they're the ones that decided to go to war, basically lost, and then chose to over tax the peasants to make up for it. But her priorities aren't really politics and government. I'm pretty sure her village knows Darius's family or at least rumors a bit, since they are the local lords.
