Name: B-0
Race: Droid
Gender: Feminine ProgrammingAge: B-0 is unaware of how old she is. Somewhere between 15 and 100.
Character Type: Droid
Appearance: B-0 is a prototype of the B1 Battle Droid used by The Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars. Although B-0 looks similar to the B1 Battle Droids she is one of a kind, the only B-0 in the Galaxy. B-0 is slightly shorter than the B1 Battle Droids, as over the years she has developed a slight hunch, standing 6'0 and weighing in at about 143 pounds. A majority of her metal plating is an off-white color, with a blue motif that was added after her creation. Years of wear and tear has left her covered in dents, and scratches. Over time the bright blue paint has faded, especially around her legs and feet, and has begun to chip in several areas. The sensors on her face, giving her the appearance of having eyes, are black but light up when she interacts with things. Over time several of the diodes in her sensors have burned out, leaving her 'eyes' looking spotty and patchy.
Clothing normally isn't too popular among droids, as they have nothing to cover up and don't need clothing to protect them from the elements. No shoes, no shirt, no service doesn't really apply to droids. However, B-0 does wear a few accessories in her attempt to feel human. A large, olive green, scarf that is long enough to also cover her shoulders like billowing sleeves. B-0 has a small bag strapped to both of her upper legs, added to her during a visit to Tatooine, and a large backpack she carries on her back. These bags are mostly empty, as Droids don't need to carry supplies on them. B-0 mostly stashes small shiny objects in these, in lieu of food or other survival essentials.
Personality: Describing the personality traits of a droid, especially a creation that is supposed to lack a personality is interesting. B-0's original, programmed, 'personality' of sorts was that of several different droid personalities tacked together. B-0, as prototypes commonly are, was created to try and improve several different types of droids by sticking them all together. The intention with B-0 was to create a droid capable of several things, mostly protection and diplomacy. So when the polite and calculating nature of a protocol droid meets the alert and aggressive side of a battle droid something like B-0 is created.
These programmed traits, however, revealed themselves to be a dangerous mix. Create a Droid with the ability to learn new tasks, and carry out these tasks better than the average person. Create a Droid who is able to assess a situation for potential dangers, and be able to dispatch these dangers. But then give the Droid the ability to say No. That is where the dangers come in. A Droid that could, and would, go against direct orders.
However over time B-0's personality changed, altered by a few different things. She began to adopt quirks and traits from people she spent long amounts of time with. Through watching negotiations, friends and family reunite with love, heartbreak and hatred, she has seen it all. But the biggest factor in the Droid's shmorgishborg of personality traits is the amount of time she has gone without a Memory Wipe. And that amount of time is her entire 'life'. Most Droids, once they begin to learn too much or stray too far from their programmed purpose, will be restored to their default by the people who own them. This is not the case with B-0.
Backstory: Beep
StatsFitness: 5/10 - B-0 wasn't designed to be a tank. She was designed to be cheap and mass produced. Battle Droids are mowed down in droves.
Power: 4/10 - Physical strength is another flaw in B-0's design. Not only that but she has gone many years without professional repair.
Coordination: 8/10 - For what B-0 lacks in physical power she more than makes up for in the ability to shoot and pilot.
Acumen: 9/10 - More of a mistake than anything. Years of going without a mind wipe means that B0 has seen a lot, and with the memory of a Droid she will never forget.
Personality: 5/10 - As a droid, personality isn't her strong suit. Over the years she has learned some social skills, but she is nowhere near a leader.
Force: 0/10 - I am one with the Force and the Force is with me.
Vitality: 14hp
Carrying Capacity: 65lbs
SkillsAwareness: 3/5 - While untrained in the Force, B-0 enjoys picking details out of things. Usually these are useless details, like unzipped flies.
Computer Use: 4/5 - Well trained in the workings of computers and starship controls.
Demolitions: 0/5 - Just cover the bomb with a blanket, that will contain it.
Persuade: 3/5 - Beep Boop?
Repair: 4/5 - B0 spent a lot of time around mechanics and droids, and it is nice to know how to repair yourself.
Security: 3/5 - *Frantic Keyboard Typing* I'm hacking in.
Stealth: 2/5 - *Rusty Metal Screeching*
Treat Injury: 0/5 - If your injury can't be fixed with a hammer and nails B-0 isn't fixing you.
Racial Trait: Metal Plating: Your hard metal chassis can protect you totally from minor scrapes, scratches, bites, and stings, and you take half damage from Physical sources. However, you take twice the amount of damage from Ion sources.
Background Trait: Almost Intelligently Designed: You receive a 1d4 bonus to Computer Use checks as they concern to piloting thanks to your software, but due to faulty obedience programming, your stubbornness gives you disadvantage on Persuade checks. Tsk tsk!
Inventory:
- E-5 blaster rifle: Universal and cheap, eventually E-5 blaster rifles would become the staple of the B1 Battle Droids. B-0 was given hers by her last Master, as a way to make her look more intimidating based only on appearance. It weighs about five pounds.
- Wrist Blaster: B-0's favorite weapon. It is built into her right wrist by her Creators making it both easy to conceal and weightless. It is a little more difficult to upkeep, and if is malfunctions B-0 is unable to use her right arm.
- Jedi Holocron?: A palm sized, crystalline, dodecahedron that B-0 may or may not have stolen.
