NPC Characters
Name: Alena Gilios
Appearance: Typically, Lena can be found wearing her silver armor and holding onto Fury and Mercy. They were crafted for her, after all in a bit of an RPing sense even if as an NPC she couldn't fully appreciate it until things changed. She has short blond hair, standing at a fairly tall 5'9. She is often mistaken for a male due to her armor, though she was programmed not to really mind.
Yggdrasil/New World: Yggdrasil
Race: Heteromorphic - Dullahan, Elf.
Gender: Female
Character Level: 100]
Alignment: 400, extremely good. Will never do evil deeds knowingly.
Racial Class:- Dullahan lvl 10
- Blessed Undead lvl 5
- Undead Knight lvl 15
Job Class:Main:
- Emissary of the Fae lvl 5
- Legendary Aegis lvl 5
- Guardian lvl 10
- Sentinel lvl 10
- Undead Cleric lvl 15
- Misc lvl 25
Fighting Style:To put simply, Lena was built around impossibly heavy defense. Essentially, she could be described as a walking fortress built solely for defense and the protection of others, with an ability to heal allies. She can give defense buffs to her allies, heal them and otherwise take an extremely heavy amount of punishment. She fights defensively, looking for opening in a foes defense before striking or using one of her stronger skills to deal with the foe.
One might find this a bit contradictory in her skills, considering she is an undead. This would normally be true, if it wasn't for her 'Blessed Undead' status. This status essentially means Lena was blessed by some god or other suitably powerful entity within the game. While it is impossibly to fully restore an undead to life, one can at least give those undead who wish to help others and try a boon to help. Essentially, in effect she is no longer marked as 'undead' by most spells or other abilities save for retaining personal beneficial racial traits and stats, as well as the negative ones, such as a weakness to fire or higher level physical damage nullification.
The 'Emissary of the Fae' status, essentially means she is a friend of any fae or any fairy type creature and can speak with any spirits. While she is a heavily armored knight, the job class actually grants a fairly decent boost to both evasion and speed, as well as fatigue and stamina. An emissary may not be stopped upon their path, and if they have a message of any sort they will deliver it. It is obtained by those who complete a number of quests in the game for the very rare Fey-type creatures.
As a Legendary Aegis, Lena gains impressive defensive abilities and buffs for herself and allies, which is amplified even further by her Sentinel and Guardian classes which offer own unique bonuses to help with her defensive abilities.
As an Undead Cleric, a class unique to blessed undead, Lena has access to basic as well as some higher level healing abilities and buffs.
Strengths:Alena excels in self buffs for her allies, playing defensively as well as healing them and keeping them going no matter what manner of injuries affect her allies. She can draw foes attention to herself, as a veritable walking bastion of defense and health for her allies and survive greats amount of punishment. She can hit just as hard as most tanks, if not harder thanks to heavy focus on physical stats while neglecting magical stats.
Weaknesses:Unfortunately, her attack accuracy is lacking. She was built to simply outlast all others and to buff her allies. While she can hit rather hard thanks to her impressive physical strength, she has to play smart and tactfully, especially when dealing with faster opponents. While the Emissary class buffs her agility and stamina, she's not the most agile so most can easily outmaneuver her.
Additionally, she has almost nothing in terms of ranged offensive power. If faced with a mage or archer, turtling behind a shield while advancing forward is the best she can hope for.
Equipment/Abilities Worthy of Note: Abilities:-
Idomitable resolve: Essentially, whilst standing still or turtling behind a shield the Aegis is able to effectively remain standing no matter what is tossed at them.
-
Lifes Aegis: The ability effectively cuts all damage incoming to her and her allies, by half. It lasts for roughly two minutes. Must remain still whilst using it.
-
Sorcery Bulwark: As with the Aegis, this effectively cuts incoming magic damage even further. Also lasts roughly for two minutes. Must remain still whilst using it.
-
Protection of Faith: Effectively, the ability gives her and her allies the ability to ignore one debuff that will is attempted to be afflicted upon them. Must remain still while using it.
-
Focused Mind: A buff that makes her and her allies resistant to all mental effects such as fear or other attempts at controlling them. Must stand still to use.
-
Cursed Wellspring of Life: The undead Cleric is able to heal allies, but this is likely her most prominent ability. As an undead, she can use healing, but at the same time it is possible for her to use her undead nature to...change, healing slightly. This is a fountain of life that heals those marked as allies for a certain amount of HP per second. However, those that are not marked as allies will suffer debuffs and a movement penalty.
-
Blessing of continued fighting: Once, when HP hits zero she is able to revive herself at 30% health. The Legednary Aegis will not fall, even in death. After doing so, any buffs are lost, but so will any debuffs.
Equipment:-
Fairy Queen's Fury A large sword that was forged alongside its counterpart, Queens Mercy. The blade is your fairly standard holy sword. It is a guild class item that Lena was given for use by the guild. The blade itself is incredibly powerful and sports some fairly powerful functions. Once it was a symbol of the guilds power, along with the shield. Most however, would mistake it for a rather mundane sword in their hands.
However, when wielded by one marked with a title of 'Fae' in either their racial name or job class, the true power of the blade is revealed. It is a powerful item that grants those that wield it a massive boost to their stats - specifically their health and attack power capabilities. The sword has natural armor penetrating power, ignoring a whopping 75% of a foes armor.
-
Fairy Queen's Mercy Forged alongside the Queens Fury, this large shield would require a fair feat of strength to use. 'Tower shield' is an apt name for it. For most, it would just be a very heavy hunk of metal that could stop a charging elephant in its tracks.
When used similarly by one of the same titles as Fury, however, its abilities similarly shine. As much as Fury, it is a weapon to be used in battle. In their hands, the shield is almost weightless. The Shield has the ability to nullify
any damage that hits it - be it physical or magical. It is even capable of absorbing incoming magic from a threshold and unleashing it as an attack when slammed against something. For example, if it absorbs fire magic it can expel an explosive blast if something is bashed with it. It can also temporarily infuse Fury with the absorbed element for a variety of effects.
Mercy is a bit of a misnomer honestly. Its just an effective weapon as Fury, if not even more dangerous.
-
Silver Knights Armor - A silver, if somewhat plain armor that can only be worn and obtained by those of good moral alignment. It is obtained in a rather lengthy and somewhat obscure method mundane sounding quest where one had to track the spirit of a cursed paladin of some god and put him to rest. However, most didn't realize that once you completed the quest you could find his actual body and the armor with a bit of clever reasoning and leg work.
The armor itself acts as heavy armor, nullifying a good portion of physical damage, as well as protecting one against darker magics such as necromancy, blood magic, etc.
How a normal human would view me:Most humans, would actually find nothing wrong with her despite her undead status. If anything, they would find the dullahan incredibly amicable and trusting. Most wouldn't even be wise that she is an undead, and most magical means of detection would identify her as simply 'Blessed'. Only those of the same level or incredibly powerful beings would identify her as an undead, unless she revealed it herself.
Bio/Lore:Lena was created by Tea, to be the right hand NPC of her guild, 'Phantasmal Forest'. To put simply, Tea may have gone slightly overboard with both the Lore and history for this particular NPC. She loved writing after all, and may have almost written an entire novel length story for the NPC.
To start with, Lena is described as a young, naive, warrior who has a strong sense of justice but at times, has trouble making the right decisions. She is hesitant to ever use force in a situation unless someone is clearly going to get hurt. She gets along with most people - and has the naive belief that everyone is good at heart. She is an excellent cook, and loves training and pursuing her physical abilities. She can be somewhat serious, but is for the most part good natured and likes people, and talking to them.
is the queens unofficial 'babysitter'As for the short version of her 'lore' and history -
Once, she was a simply elf that had decided to follow the path of a warrior to protect her home. Unfortunately, a necromancer got their hands on her. For some time, she was a simple zombie, unable to do anything other than follow the necromancers commands. After sometime though, the necromancer was slain and she was left alone. After sometime, the zombie started to regain its mental faculties, if even a little. After regaining her entire mental faculties, she still had a desire to protect those she could, but as an undead it was quite difficult to gain others trust, so she underwent a quest to gain the favor of some holy god. She inevitably succeeded.
Sometime later, she found herself in the employ of the Queen of Fae, the guild 'Phantasmal Forest'.
