[IC] Gods of Tomorrow

GOTA, otherwise known as the Gods of Tomorrow Academy, was a school for people with any god blood in them. The elders had learned that even a small amount was dangerous do all gods and Goddesses were expected to keep track of their young. The weather is normally perfect all year round, the sun is out, rainbow in the sky, completely cloudless, most would say it's beautiful. Well not today! Currently, storm clouds covered GOTA which poured down heavy rain and blew strong gusts of wind making the tempature freezing. Every so often lightning would strike in the distance. This was certainly a bad omen. The Gods were angry and bickering among themselves for who knows what reason.

Now, how would one get to GOTA? Simple enough. Each Demigod who applied at the school would retrieve a map to a forest. For any mortal, a seemingly normal forest. However those of Demigod blood who enters the forest would see a golden path through the forest leading them to the Academy itself. The Golden Path would take them to a large mountain near the forest's middle. Anyone of Demigod blood could pass right through the mountain and enter academy grounds. Olympus Academy was extremely hidden, of course. It would be impossible for a mortal to find it.

Roxy was pissed. She had always felt out of place. But she had figured that it was because her father hated her. She had known her father hated her since she was young. Now she knew why he hated her and why he had never simply killed her. He couldn't she wasn't human. Already not completely.

She had discovered this 'little' secret when her 'father' and his men decided to initiation her into the gang. She had only survived because the shadows had come to live and killed most of the men. Then one of the shadow beings told her that her real father, who happened to be the God of shadows and darkness, decided it was time for her to learn how to use her abilities. Then he sent her through the shadows to the academy.

That's how she found herself walking in the shadows of a huge school. She wasn't sure that she couldhandle a school like this. Her education was spotty at best. Her 'father' had only allowed her to learn what she needed to pass the state's homeschooling tests.

Alexi groans as she wakes up and begins to search around her cave for rations that she may not have finished the night before. Finding nothing to fill her stomach, she staggers weakly out of the cave to hunt for food yet again. Though she survives this long, she grows more and more weaker by the day, due to lack of nutrition. She didn't look quite pleasant either, she had dirt on her face, her skin was moist and sticky, and her hair was a mess.

As she exits her cave, she looks up at the hot sun, covering her brow to shade her eyes. "Great another hot day.." she says out of disgust, she then turns her head hearing commotion, which sounded like a gathering in the distance. Alexi's instincts kick in, she swiftly began heading in the direction of the sounds. Eventually she reaches the end of the forest line where she pokes her head out to see a grand building and almost vast grounds. Her face lights up with amazement, as she studies this god like place.

Curiosity settles in and she emerges from the forest onto the school grounds cautiously. She would seem as if she was a lost girl at this point, in truth she was, but that didn't stop her from exploring. Alexi soon began enjoying walking across the school grounds, she hugs herself and smiles lightly, taking in the wonderful views. This has been the only time she has ever adventured into a place that she feels comfortable in.

As a normal day, Victor goes to the garden and starts practice with the scythe. About 10 minute later, he suddenly feel a huge pressure on his shoulder and he sees a Giant man with a big sword come toward him.

"Hello, my son, oh, you look bigger than the last time i saw you, well, I'm sorry with you mom dead, but I cant do anything to save her."

"Who the hell are you? And what have you said, 'my son', right. Hey old man, I'm not your son, my dad died when I was 3."

"That just what your mother said, right? I'm your father, and I'm not just a normal man, I'm ... Arrg, what the f...?

There are about twenty dark arrows on his hand and that giant man starts to use his sword to attack numberous of archer hiding inside the forest.

"Anna, get Victor out of here and tell him everything."

A woman comes and cast a magic that bring her and Victor to GOTA. Then she starts to explain to Victor everything, his father was Chronos, god of time and there is a team called themselves the NEW GOD starts to hunt every demigod they found. Of course, Victor thinks this all is a lie until he sees everything around him start to move slower and he is the only one could move normally. Anna tells him this power proves that he is a demingod and this academy could help him to control his power.

"So what do you want from me?"

"My master Chronos want you to join this Academy and learn to become a stronger and wiser demigod."

"Fine, I will join, but when I become a true demigod, I want him to come and himself explain to me everything! Let's tell him that, OK?"

"I will, see you later" Anna talks then she just disappear as she was never there.

"So this is the GOTA, it looks like a good place to become stronger."

He walked along the path, away from the house he had lived for all his life. He wasn't all that sad to go, and today, he had a urge to explore. His parents had never let him out from the farm before. Strangely, before he had left, he felt like his father was a robot, taking orders from someone. His father had given him a map and a cell phone, then went back to his normal self, yelling at him to "Do this!" and "Don't do that!"

On his way to the forest shown on the map, he continued testing his powers. Right after he had left the farm, he felt his powers diminish greatly. The farm must have something that's not here... Soon after, he found that this "something" was plant life. Now, in a forest, he was on a golden path to the huge mountain in the distance.

Gaël woke early in his hotel room and just sat there looking at the ceiling, he thought about everything he had to deal with up until this point. Growing up with no mother and having a father who only faked his love until he met another woman and decided to go start another family, can scar a kid but Gaël could not afford to let it get to him. All he could do was manage his monthly checks from the "sperm donor" and keep learning and practicing.

Today he would start at another school this school was meant for children like him. He applied and received a map in his room a few days later and now he was all packed and ready to go. Gaël did not know what to expect but if he could learn even more about what he is and who his mother is then he was all for it. He found out about this from his own mother, the only contact he every had from her, it was a letter detailing how the school was meant for "demigods in training" and that he should go there to learn more about himself and her side of the family.

So with that thought he got up and did his morning routine and checked out. The forest that was on the map was near his hotel so he walked there and started to follow his map to the school and started to follow this golden path. Gaël could only hope that his future was as bright as this path

Lots of demigods and young gods arrived to their first day of the academy. Most of them had no idea what to expect. There had never been a school like this. Through out history gods were responsible for teaching their offspring. Most demigods were ignored. But that wasn't an option anymore. Times were changing and the gods had to change with them. The PA system crackled to life. "Welcome students. Please gather in the auditorium. It will be clearly marked in the maps you were given but if you need help there will teachers in the grounds to guide you."

Randa woke up to something tickling her nose. Waking up she saw a vine holding a map and a note, "Amaranda, you do not know me but I am your father. I noticed you discovered your powers and have only experimented with them a little but you can do a lot better. With this note is a map that will lead you to a school to help you out. Knock 'em drunk kiddo." The girl grabbed the map in confusion. This could be either the biggest joke or something real....I'll see if it really exists. She packed a bag of the little possessions she had and started off on the journey to school her "father" mentioned.

Arriving to the forest she saw the path just like the one on the map. Well...I can test my powers on the way up...or something...not sure if vines of any sort grow out here. She ended up more enjoying the scenery and trying to not get lost than testing her powers.

Right after the announce, Anna comes back and give Victor his backbag and a suitcase, then disapear (again). Victor doesn't mind that and he comes to take a map. He take a his backbag and suitcase then goes around the academy and he comes to the auditorium 5 minute later.

"Holy shit, why can't they show me my room first, this thing is too heavy. I should have come here immidiately instead of going around the Academy!"

Suddenly, there is a voice come inside his mind

"Hey son, how is this Academy?"

"Chronos??? What about the bad guy hiding inside the forest?"

"Oh, these rats, I defeat them and have jailed them into my time prison, don't worry son, they won't come back"

"So who are they and why do they hunt demigod?"

"Oh Victor, they don't hunt any other demigod, they just hunt you, my son. That team used to be my prisoners. I have caught them when they try to break the law of life: Go back to the past. But they have escaped and want to killed you, a demigod because their power can't defeat a ancient god like me. Now do you understand?"

"So that the truth, huh, what about your wound?"

"That isn't a big problem, I just need rest 1 minute and it will disappear. Ok son, let's study and be good demigod, OK? And remember, I always watching you and I will help if you need. So..., good bye and I will see you when you are a true demigod!

Alexi was nearly startled by the PA announcement. At that moment she was lost in confused, she had no idea what was going on, she didn't even have a map. The only thing she was able to do was follow everyone as they go inside, doing show, she was even more astonished, seeing the inside of this Academy. She then began to study the people she was following. They all look different, yet they look as if they belong.

Alexi on the other hand stands out, she has no confidence in what she's doing and no knowledge of anything that's happening right now. She could easily turn and run back to the safety and comfort of her cave, but she is known to always see something through. She hugged herself shyly as she made her way with everyone else to the auditorium.

"Welcome students. Please gather in the auditorium. It will be clearly marked in the maps you were given but if you need help there will teachers in the grounds to guide you." He looked down at his map, and walked towards where the auditorium was on the map.

Luckily, he didn't need to ask anyone for help getting to the auditorium. Looking around, he saw many other people. He'd never seen so many other people before! Why are they all wearing clothing that's so weird..?

Roxy flipped off the voice that echoed through the air. She knew it was pointless but it made her feel better. She wasn't a rule follower. She had already spent years proving herself to one father. She had no desire to so again. Especially when the man appeared once ans disappeared. He wasn't here to force her to do jack so she was going to do what she wanted to do.

This was going to be a disaster. She glared at the people she past as she made her way to the gym. She was here because it was a chance to learn the things she needed. Plus her human father couldn't get here to stop her. It was her one chance to become whatever she wanted to be. She just had to figure out what she wanted to be. And the only way to do that was learn what her options were. For now she was willing to see what this place offered.

Randa arrived to the main entrance and was a bit startled with how many people there were. This is a lot more people than I expected. She saw most of them headed in one direction and decided to follow. She was not normally one to go with the main crowd but this didn't seem like the time to get lost. She clutched the handles of her bag a bit tighter hoping that this was the right decision.

Alexi continues to walk silently with the group, she was hoping not to draw any attention tto herself. Part of her felt this was destiny, while the other part beleives she doesn't belong here and that she was foolish to ever wander into this Academy, not even knowing what kind of Academy this was. She swung her bangs in her eyes and clutched herself shyly as she entered the aditorium. Guess there's only one way to find out about this place, then maybe I can just go home.

Gaël continued down he path until he came to the front of the school. By now he was walking with other students more than he had expected and could only wonder if they all had parents like him too. He was startled out of his thoughts when the voice over the PA system told them to meet in the auditorium. He stopped looked down at his map and then looked around lost. When he noticed the flow of the students going in a different discretion, he decided to follow the flow. Gaël had to admit he did not know what to expect with this school, would he make friends? What are the other students like? These questions and more flooded his mind as he walked to the auditorium, and Gaël could could hope for some answers.

Chaos, one of the first primal gods, appeared as a white mist vaguely human in shape on stage. "Welcone students. This is the academy's first year. We hope to make it a good one. We expect some growing pains as we go through the process and come across questions and situations that we hadn't thought of before. Rule one all students are equal. There will be no special treatment. Rule two fighting is only allowed in the classes dedicated to teaching you those skills. If we can keep those two rules then we shouldn't have too much drama. Everyone will be assigned rooms. Those will be text messaged to you. If you dont have a cellphone please stay behind. Your parents eill be contacted. They were suppose to tske cate of this but many of us older beings have a hard time adapting to change. So I image most of you dobt have the supplies we requested. Dont worry. I will see that you have everything in your room by the end of the day. Questions?"

Alexi had so many questions to ask. It seems that people that are are were invited or something. She did not raise her hand to ask questions, instead she sits all the way in the back, alone. In truth she was waiting for everyone to leave before talking to someone of the staff, but she was also contemplating on how to actually become a part of the school roster. Her intentions was to learn, grow stronger, and conquer.

With these thoughts in her head, she grew serious and her face grew blank, like that of a cold hearted killer. She wants power and this is her chance. She did not care fore friends, but if she got help from other students, she wouldn't mind leading a cult of her own here.

Victor raises his hand but he doesn't wait for permision and starts asking:

"2 question. No roommate and practice power out of classes?"

That is quite short and maybe not so many people could understand that but it is his style. He used to be a very noisy boy but his mother death has change him. He just come here to learn as Chronos want and he doesn't even think of making friends.

Randa somehow ended up in the back of the room and the last one in. She sat beside another girl who seemed to be a loner. Well at least I got the cell phone thing covered...with a few spare flip phones that I totally planned on using for good. She looked at the girl beside her and was a bit startled by the blank expression and the bit of power-lust vibe. "Hey, uh, are you okay," Randa asked in a whisper to not draw a lot of attention to them.

@Kit DewStein Alexi looks over at the girl, her face remaining blank. "I'm fine.." she says, lowering her head, "I don't think I belong here though." This might be my chance to get some form of help, maybe if we become close friends, she'd become a part of my cult. She gave a warm smile ad extended her hand out.
"I'm Cyprus, but you may call me Alexi, I'm from the forest just outside of this academy."
