While I do acknowledge that the GM does have final authority on all things regarding their RP, there
are ways to enforce rules without going off on people.
While I wasn't against Erika getting killed off as their player did drop, I did find the manner of death kind of tacky, and lacking in any sort of meaningfulness to make it 'roleplay'. Especially given the amount of time and effort a person puts into their character. Like, I know its cyberpunk, and life is short and gritty and people die left and right, but I'd be pretty miffed too if a character I had put hours of time and effort into building as my own cyberpunk badass went out like a little bitch. Like I get on the one hand they shouldn't care because they're out of the RP. But at the same time, that's someone's piece of work that they've put a part of themselves into and you're kinda just shitting all over that.
I don't particularly find it fair to call
@Lonewolf685 and their friends a 'circlejerk' either. Friends RP with each other all the time- and I think its one of the best ways to RP. A small group RP filled with good friends is a great time IMO. I mean yeah it sucks that they left, given the issue of the confused start was rather minor, but I don't think resorting to name calling is entirely professional. Talking about others just after they leave on a
public forum isn't entirely tasteful either. That kinda talk is something that should be held aside or on PMs.
I don't mean to tell you what to do as a GM, or to play devil's advocate, but as an occasional GM myself and a bit of an old-head around these parts, I thought I'd just throw my piece out there and I'm terrible at conclusions so yeah.
