[OOC] The Island

Not much to explain here, right? You woke up, lousy day, vacation with the family. Hooray...ugh! Perhaps your significant other broke up with you, you're tired that Despacito is still playing non-stop, or maybe...you're just having a bad day. Well. It's all good. You get on the plane. The sandwich is bland, tastes like dirt or sand. You can't decide which is worse. You get into an argument about it with yourself. Some future opera-singer is crying their lungs out, enough so that you start making up multiple scenarios of throwing them out the window. But of course, it's a baby. Not only aren't you so cruel, but you're also not that stupid. It was sometime between your stop at the bathroom, and the return to your seat. Or maybe, you were just sitting there. Watching a movie. Talking. Looking out the window and wondering aircraft mechanisms. But everybody experienced it. The sudden pull. The sudden fall. It was over in seconds.

Now all you have left to do....is go up for air. And survive.

Hello! This is Fuji, and this is my first roleplay here so I decide to start small and cliché. Basically the typical stuck-on-an-island scenario but I'll be throwing in twists and turns that will cater more to fantasy. These will be a sort of random event, but your character chooses what to do. There are no dice rolls needed for this. So the game mechanics are simple. YOU decide what happens to your character. And I won't change the rules on everyone, unless we come to a conclusion.

So yeah. Island. People. Mystery things happenings. Cool things. Everybody will stick in a group for now but an RE could mean a breakup to different parts of the island. Let's start slow and simple.

Appearance: Please no anime, it'd be nice to use real face claims. If you don't want to use a face claim, that's okay.
Personality: This is a 2 paragraph minimum. So 8 sentences, 4 each. If you wanna sandbox it, that's fine. Just write 8 sentences of jotting stuff down. I would like for most development to be ICLy so feel free to start out vague.
A little background/ History: Just tell us how they ended up on the island.
Accessories: Each character is allowed two things saved from the wreckage. It can be anything that they'd realistically carry with them on a plane. A notebook full of cat stickers, go for it! A sword with the power to harvest souls? Not so much buddy.

Character's Full Name: Annette Elizabeth Faust
Nicknames: Ann, Netty, Nerd-brain

Appearance:

Short, half-neck length layered brown hair. Dry and straw-like from terrifying past dyeing experiences. Contains shades of reddish brown. Hazel eyes, at least, she swears so. A small mouse like face with pouty lips and a fine nose, her body is lanky and yet not too feeble. Long arms, small wrists, short in height. Normally wearing actually cute clothes, yet on the day of the crash, was wearing a graphic Minecraft T-Shirt and black yoga pants. Plus sneakers. Totes around her thin silver rectangular glasses, cause she's near sighted. Has them on a chain cause she forgets everything that has ever come into existence. Usually wears some makeup, but in the Island she cannot. So her freckles start showing against her pale skin. Which is sure to change, since the sun is EVIL.

Personality:

Could talk for hours. She so sucked up into her own fictional world she can scarcely breathe! Loves nerding out to people and making up explanations for things that happen. Has a passionate hatred for reality TV and a consuming love for stupid romantic comedies. Rehearses pick up lines simply for the fun of it. Annette has a soft spot for people, just doesn't show it. Tending to prefer things out of reality. Loves to blow arguments out of proportion. Turns on a dime about the stupidest thing. Feels too much perhaps.

She's a picky eater. Not because she counts calories or stuff like that, simply because she doesn't like much things. Not a particular fan of the beach, thinks it's just a rather big sandbox hiding dirty secrets. Doesn't like the sun, swears she's a vampire. Before this whole fiasco, wanted to study Hematology. Says she loves to read, but pretty much knows nothing of classics. When she says she read them back to back, it means she read the first and last ten pages.

A little background/ History: Was going on a trip to see her sister who was graduating college. She was the "golden child." They forced her to go, and perhaps at one point, she almost wished they'd crash so she wouldn't have to spend "let's all clap for her" time. Along with the horrid "when are you going to end your sabatical?" and the ever so classic "when will you get a boyfriend".

Hey! This looks interesting, but I have a question if you don't mind; how large of a group were you looking for? I'm curious since I'm a slow writer that gets left behind with large groups. :P

On a side note, from creeping on your profile I notice you've just returned to RPG. Welcome back! You might want to make an interest check for the RP - that's where a decent portion of sign ups come from.

Character Full Name: Warren Clarington
Nickname: Ren

Appearance: Warren has short, slightly fluffy, honey coloured hair, which he tries to keep neat. He has tried to grow a beard, but his endeavours are always in vain. This means he retains something of a baby face. His eyes are a dark blue, though in some lights they are arguably green. His face is ovular, gracefully sloping down to a blunt chin. From the side, his nose looks slightly crooked. His is tall, standing at 5' 11", but not particularly broad shouldered. He usually wears 'preppy' clothing, and the day of the crash was no different. He wore a white shirt, a red tie and blue cardigan. He also wore brown cargo shorts and leather sandals, tailor made for his rather small feet.

Personality: Warren is, in a word, withdrawn. The type who preferred to stay at home with a good book rather than go out clubbing with his friends. This makes him appear antisocial and rather cold. His primary function is logic, and he dislikes people who act without thinking. He has tendency to withdraw into his head in moments of crisis. He like to think things through to a worryingly thorough degree before acting. His lack of 'regular' emotions inspired his desire to be able to get inside of people's heads, which he can do to a worryingly good degree. He is also very blunt, and does not care to spare people on account of them being sensitive.

On the inside, he is a little bit of a nerd, and his bluntness is actually childlike honesty. His cold nature is just a defence mechanism, so people are not able to work their way into his heart and do damage, which is his greatest fear. He gets incredibly lonely, but does not want to let anyone in. This longing for affection but fear to reciprocate it has turned him into a serial womaniser.

A Little History/Background: Warren was coming back from his second year studying a doctorate criminology in Cambridge. After a lot of plane hopping, he finally was back on course to get home. He was back on schedule. Then came the crash.

Accessories: A comb (gotta keep that hair neat) and a cigarette lighter (though he ran out of cigarettes a while ago).

Hello, I just registered to the site today. :)

Face Claim: Milo Ventimiglia

Character's Full Name: Anthony James Webber

Nicknames: Nino, AJ

Appearance: Anthony has been growing his hair for the last year and a half currently reaching shoulder length. He has brown eyes and a moustache which is the last remains of the thick beard he used to have up until 3 weeks ago. He has a height of 5 ft and 9 in and a weight of 178 pounds. He has no tattoos, birth marks or other things that might make him stand out. Anthony likes to dress in street type clothes which means that you will rarely see him in a suit or other types of formal wear. On the day of the crash he was wearing blue jeans, black canvas shoes, a black t-shirt and a black leather jacket over it.

Personality: In his 40 years of life Anthony had to rely on himself most of the time which is why he is very distrustful of strangers and people outside of his circle of friends and familiar people. That does not mean however that he is a jackass. He treats those he comes in contact with nicely but maintains his distance. He opens up however if he sees that the person is worth it.

He never regrets his decisions even if they turn out to be bad decisions and once he is involved in something he goes all the way with it. He rarely ever gets angry preffering to ignore people that annoy him or he treats them with his trademark coldness. Anthony is a simple person that enjoys simple things and is generally happy with his life even though those around him keep telling him that he is capable of more. He loves cars and music which also comprise most of his universe.

A little background/History: He was going to visit his ex-wife and his 7 year old son. They moved away some time after the divorce and him losing the custody.

Accessories: His smartphone with 63% battery left and a pack of chewing gum.

Character's Full Name: Sandy Cooper
Nicknames: (Not so Lucky or Cursed)

Personality: Sandy is an inquisitive young woman who’s seen by her peers in college as a bookworm because she always has her Pad or a Book in her hands reading. Quiet and unobtrusive she is the perfect roommate in school especially when she is out of the country working on her Undergraduate in Anthropology (Archaeology); did I forget to mention she’s a geek girl.

Outside of the serious field in which she is seeking a Doctorate Sandy loves things like Anime, Comic Books, and Fantasy. She attends the yearly convention in Atlanta where she goes to Emory and can be seen that time of year dressed in a least three different Cosplay costumes which amuses her roommates and the neighbors and she doesn’t bat an eyelash.

But that is the Civilization Sandy because when she is on a dig she is a tireless excavator, cataloger, cook, nurse, or what ever else she’s asked to be by her professors. She more in her element when digging through the earth of past ages and shifting the remains of someone out of the terrain than she ever felt at home.

Background/ History: Sandy was on her way to a dig and the flight her first leg as she was flying halfway around the world. Normally she would have been traveling with the rest of the Dig crew but in this instance she’s the lead element of the dig and was going to make sure they had the equipment and labors ready and waiting for the professors and other graduate students to arrive.

Accessories: Victorian Ladies Compass given to her by her Grandmother who said it was once her great, grandmothers. Designed for ornamentation more than service it still has a beautiful needle and face which can serve as its intended appearance if you had no other.
