This" she waved a hand around the place then frowned, "this group, its been great. I wanted to solve my parents murders and I have. Theres notning left for me sith the
Police, but this, there could be a hell of a lot. We are changing the world, Katherin. Who knows what that wluld be like" she brushed back hair, leaving a trail kf flour along her face thst hadnt been brushed off on her oants.

"We are changing the world." Katherin agreed."Your a natural leader Cassie. Any path you choose you can have happiness, safety, bread baking, and house for Moe. Your independant and strong. Everyone in the group is independent, self-reliant? And strong. But I must choose to be caged by my ability or my disability. Either way I will never be independent. Everyone in this group could survive alone if they chose to. I know it sounds like I am looking for pity or reassurance. But truly I am trying to find a path for myself that feels right. I will find it in time. What do you mean 'Whats wondering about leaving a friend behind?' Cody?"

Cody blinked, "wonderful about leaving a friend behind" he seemed disturbed by this mess up in words. He frowned, frightened.

Katherin considered Cassie's comment in most of the possiblities they were alone or with new groups. Was that what Cassie meant? She would build a new group? Lathering had no idea why Cody considered leaving a friend behind wonderful. She was very confused maybe she had misunderstood something. For now Katherin was determined to enjoy her time with the group she considered family. "I think we make a better family then we do friends."

"Funny I think that's exactly what my first family. Maybe that is why I am struggling to believe this time will be different." Katherin replied.

Don't know, maybe I'll never be a pro racer, Ruslan said to himself. He had thought of e-mailing his former friends on the racetracks or texting them, but he dismisses it, noting that they don't have any secure means of communication. If he sends a message, the government can at least approximate their locations. Realizing this, he becomes a bit saddened, but he tries to hide it away, and walks back to where the rest had gathered.

Roxy listened to the others talked. She found herself agreeing with Katherin. Her family had betrayed her and left her behind. She was wary of considering anyone family.

"What's going on here?" Ruslan asked, a bit surprised with the situation the rest of the team is currently in.

"They are discussing the future while we wait for everyone to wake up." Roxy replied as she gathered up her knifes and began to rearm herself.

"What is this, Roxy, you need to explain me before you throw that," Ruslan said, raising his readiness as Roxy takes her knives.

"I'm not going to throw them at you, Ruslan." Roxy said with a chuckle. "I have simply finished sharping them And am rearming myself. Supper is almost ready."

"So, just because it happened in the past doesn't mean its going to happen in the future" Cody said with a shrug

"Do you really believe that?" Katherin asked curiously. "Because I'm not sure I do. I am willing to take the chance it will happen again because I want that to have this family."

"Then don't do that to someone who has just appeared in front of you," Ruslan said, half-laughing, "Misunderstanding can and will happen".

"After we eat I'll show you how to handle a knife. Then maybe you'll be able to tell the difference between an attack hold and an arming hold." Roxy promised. She felt better having her knives tucked back into their sheathes where she could easily get them.

"I believe it" Cody said, "people make incrediable bonds that can rarely be broken, and if you don't believe that, the only reason I am here, on this side, is because of Sam. I may not remember what little childhood I had, but strong part of me knew, felt, that bond. Famiky isn't just what you are born into. Its about where you belong, and I think, in one way or another, we all belong to each other"

"I don't know that I have ever belonged anywhere. I remember waking in the lab my mind filled with visions of pain and torture. Then I remember walking along a busy street. I am here because I want to help the ones I see suffering. Finding you guys and Liz is an unexpected bonus. Belonging to someone is new and almost as scary as being totally blind."

Ruslan nods, but is not completely convinced that it will be useful later. He then listens to the conversation, trying to get an idea over what his teammates are talking about. It is not as easy as it sounds, since he jumped in at the middle of the conversation.
