Sarah goes off to the side to avoid the flood of kids streaming out of the amphitheatre so she can stretch. Despite her being very strong her mini gun was massive and cumbersome, not that you'd know by looking at her. She placed her gun onto the ground with an audible thud and looked up at the many buildings that made up Beacon academy. This is going to be an interesting year isn't it. She smiled at the thought. She nodded to the people who passed her and eventually bent down and picked up her gun again. As she hoisted it onto her back she noticed a Faunus boy looking at her.

She waved to him, trying not to look at his tail. Dawww he's so cute! She kinda felt bad because if he had no tail or ears she wouldn't have thought this. But she didn't feel it was discrimination, but she also wasn't sure if it was.

Marsail Cirsium

There was a significant amount that had happened since the end of the Signal semester and her graduation from the combat academy, but Marsail Cirsium decided that it was probably better to keep her answer brief. Even though she was unsure of when the faculty would finally arrive, she didn't like being interrupted when she was talking. Better not to risk it.

"I went out into the field with me da," she answered, dipping further into her highland brogue for a moment as she thought back warmly on the trips. The Cirsium patriarch had allowed her to join him on one of his hunting expeditions after her graduation, and the experience had just been overwhelming. "How about you?"

Ozpin, however, soon arrived after their quick exchange, and Marsail immediately sat up in her chair, intently watching the speech made by one of the greatest Huntsmen in history. It was shorter than she had expected it to be, almost too straightforward for a man who seemed so grand and unapproachable, but even so, the fact that it was the Ozpin before them was sobering.

"The ballroom," she murmured to herself when the speech was over, pulling out the brochure she was given for the orientation. "Where is it ...?"

She squinted down at the map, having opened the page wide.

He realized she noticed him and waived, so he politely waived back, before following the crowd out. They were first directed towards lockers that were assigned to them, which they were advised to store any weapons and armor inside. They also received scrolls, with which they could call their lockers to summon them and retrieve their weapons in an emergency. Then men were directed into one room, and women into another, to change into night attire.

"Ah, should be down the hall of thattaway, if I'm reading things right. Reckon we can just follow the crowd though. I know I'm just gunna head on with the rest of the guys."

Out in the field, eh?

Ozpin's sudden appearance, which he'd counted as proof of his words being right on the money with a triumphant snicker during the opening line, had thrown their beginning conversation completely to the wayside— so only now did he devote any thought to what the girl had said prior, before he could say anything at all.

Talk about being proactive— He could've sworn that they were here for doing that in due time, no?

Well, if such was the case, then he could only believe that the hands on field experience would render tomorrow's trials a cakewalk.

"Lucky for that," he said aloud. "Makes me going train and twiddle my thumbs back home look bad."

Sarah gets guided into the locker room and stores her minigun, she trusts that it will be safe and she makes sure to remember her call code. Be safe. She thought to herself. she was really attached to her gun, she would probably hurt you if you messed with her gun. She looked around the locker room and couldn't catch a glimpse of the Faunus or Bizz but she was fine with that, she'd most likely meet them again. And she could make other friends, she remembered that other people could talk to.

She changed into her pyjamas they were fairly basic a green tank top looking shirt and some black tracksuit pants. She felt slightly off being taller than most if not all the other girls. She didn't like making a big deal about her height but she had a feeling she was going to have a bit of trouble doing that.

Bizz placed Malice in her locker. 'I was wondering when I could be comfortable with myself.' She thought. After making sure nobody was around, or looking, Bizz quickly changed into her pajamas. She sticked to the wall, peeked around the corner, and dashed through the locker room. When she thought the room was quite deserted, she ran into the tall girl she met before.<br>
"Sarah...?"<br>
She said. Bizz looked up at the girl in a pair of brown bear hoodie pajamas.

Lucas stored his katana and changed into his pajamas, consisting of a black shirt and sweats. He came out to see the really tall girl, and the short girl he talked to earlier, Bizz. However, Bizz was wearing bear pjs, and it looked fucking adorable.

Sarah turned around upon hearing her name. It was a familiar voice as well, wait is that Bizz?. Sarah couldn't help but cover her mouth to hold in a squeal of joy. "Oh my god Bizz, you may actually the cutest things I have ever seen." She crouches down so she's more level with Bizz. She smiles and nods over to where she'd set up her sleeping bag. "Want to sleep next to me? I got a candle." She then points over to a little candle sitting next to her sleeping bag.

She gives a soft smile and doesn't notice Lucas cus she's to busy with teddy Bizz.

Marsail Cirsium

"Da had to call in a few favours," she explained with a small smile. It was definitely a stroke of luck, being able to join the Cirsium patriarch out in the field, but she was perfectly aware of the effort he had put into convincing his colleagues to allow her and Èibhlinn onto a mission. Bringing on two young lassies who had yet to be fully trained would not have been in any way an easy sell for her da. "It was the berries."

As she talked, there seemed to be a greater pep to her as she reminisced on that outing. Her brogue, usually an undercurrent, was seeping further into her words. Marsail Cirsium still was as composed as usual, but it was clear that fighting alongside her father was something she considered to be quite a happy and fruitful event.

"Are you going to stow your weapon away?" she asked of her fellow Signal graduate after a second, looking up from the map in her hands. "It looks like we'll need to put them in our assigned lockers."

Lucas walked up behind Bizz and, putting on a serious face, said "I don't know whether I should be offended by you wearing that, or hug you because you look so cute in it."

All Bizz could do was tighten her grip on the hood and blush. Suddenly all the people she met were surrounding her commenting about how cute she was. Sarah crouched to level with her.
"No thanks.... I'll sleep by myself.."
She said in a small voice and ran away into the corner of the room, carrying a bedroll with a hand and clutching the hood with another, desperately hiding her blushing face.

Lucas felt bad about teasing her and wandered over to her. "I'm sorry." he said. "I didn't mean to upset you, I just got the sudden urge to tease you. I'm very sorry." He bowed to her.

Sarah watches Bizz speed off and feels a little bad. "Guess we probably took that a little overboard?" she says and looks over at Lucas. Oh hey it's that guy. And he's leaving... She watched Lucas walk over to Bizz then stood up and headed over to her sleeping bag and pulled out a book. It was some kind of novel about space and travelling. Sarah quite liked books, because of all the long trips she needed to take she was ether sleeping or reading during them.

She every now and then looked up from her book if new people entered the hall or something louder then a mouse happened.

Bizz threw the bedroll on the ground.
"It's okay, I'm.. It's just..."
Bizz just collapsed onto the bedroll. She just didn't know what to do in these situations. She planted her face against the pillow, grabbing it tight as if she was trying to crush the pillow to death.

"Just what?" he asked, crouching next to her.

"I don't know, I never... got into something like this.."
Reacting to something like this was a foreign thing for Bizz. For years she spent time training, with her parent constantly keeping the pressure. Now, at Beacon, everyone was so nice. It was as if the world turned upside down.

"Feh..."

In contrast with her growing joy of reminiscence, Conall was instead hit with the first wave of legitimate, open consternation at the prospect.

There really wasn't any reason distrust an Academy as revered and storied as Beacon to misplace his stuff at all, let alone in a single night, but even so—

Even so, that didn't mean he had any reason to like the idea. One could call it sentimentality, call it his houndish instincts, call it whatever they wanted wanted, but the weapon that he carried so easily and deftly was still like a fifth limb.

A fifth limb, that guaranteed safety. He was a good brawler with no shortage of grit and a respectable level of craft without it, sure—

But if Conall had Luin Celtchair in his grasp, he knew he could slay any foe he came across. Whether it was real or not.

"Not like they're giving us much choice on the matter. That's a fret..." he grumbled. "Still, though..."

After a deep breath, the tension began to loosen again. In the end, his level head had won out.

"It's not like I can't see why."

A bunch of rowdy kids who were amped up about the upcoming trials stuck in a room together with weapons was a recipe for someone getting very hurt.

They continued on, before their paths split down either side of an upcoming hallway. Gentlemen to the left, ladies to the right.

"Welp, looks like this is where we break!" he said, playfully clapping the Cirsium girl on the back with a smirk. "I'll catch you later, Marsail!"

"I know what you mean." he said, setting up his stuff as well and laying down.

Lucas' comment was enough to make Bizz raise her head and look at him.
"What do you mean?"
Did he experience the same thing to what Bizz experienced? Did he go through something worse? Whatever Lucas wanted to say she did not know.

"Let's just say, things were rough for me as a child. Life is a lot harder on us Faunus than it is for you humans. That's why people like the White Fang rise up. I don't agree with their current actions, but there was a time where they stood for the rights of all Faunus, and fought against discrimination. So, like you said, it's different having so many nice people around you." he said, facing away from her. He couldn't tell her, or anyone for that matter, that he was once a member, that he killed several people in their name.
