Yuki saw that her actions were appreciated. That was good. However, things turned sour when Lucia decided that this wasn't good enough for her - as if wanting the entire school to revolve around her wants only. However, the one that completely hit her nerves was the fact that the girl was disrespecting the headmistress's decision. She could hear the others audibly gasp at this. There was always that one delinquent that didn't want to meet the status quo here, that wanted to break free of the hierarchy placed - but attacking the headmistress, even verbally, directly? That was pushing it.
She had wanted to give Lucia another chance. Her outbursts earlier were fine with Yuki. She seemed like a person with anger management issues. She could respect that and try not to pull anything that might anger her. However, by disrespecting the headmistress herself, it caused a lot of problems. Her tone became ice cold when she responded to her,
"Yeah, I will. I have full confidence that we'll see the reason why he's here once we get to know him better. He wouldn't be here if he wasn't safe." Her eyes narrowed, obviously restraining herself from charging at her.
"There's a very fine line between being opinionated and being downright disrespectful. Please, do know your place."Yuki believed that everyone has a say in this. They could approach the teachers or even the headmistress to voice out their complaints. However, Lucia's actions went above and beyond that. Yuki didn't want to restrict her freedom of speech, but that kind of attitude was unbecoming of a student of Heartshine. She mentioned something about just being stuck here? Well now, if she could control her powers correctly, then maybe she could get out of here. Obviously that wouldn't happen. She bit back the remark as Melissa came and took to the heated area - a slew of curse words directed at Lucia was uttered.
Another one, Elizabeth, stepped up to quell the situation but with the tensions so high between all of them, it was obvious that it wouldn't work. It only ended with Lucia blowing up at her too.
Then the male finally spoke up. Despite the feeling in her gut that told her that she should look out for the guy, his tone of speech and general calmness seemed to quell the doubts in her mind. He sounded formal, a little bit too formal but nothing a good friendship wouldn't fix. He tried to calmly dissuade Lucia out of it, but she responded with reinforcing her threat - whatever that was.
His next lines seemed to make her tense up. It had been lower, and almost like a growl. He issued the challenge - a fight after orientation. Of course, these fights would be approved by a teacher and it wouldn't be a fight to the death. Black lightning flashed around her, followed by flame - that made Yuki understand what his powers revolved around. Destruction perhaps? Both elements were often stuck with destruction after all. She knew all about that, considering her own understanding about her own powers. Lucia accepted almost immediately.
Elizabeth commented about how they should stop it.
"They won't do anything right now. If the fight is mediated by a teacher, then it would be fine." Yuki pointed out, her speech now returning to its original tone of voice. She then followed behind headmistress along with the new male student. She bit her lip and then said offhandedly,
"Besides if the guy didn't issue the challenge, I would have done it."She then looked at her old professor who now served as the headmistress.
"Would you agree to it though? I'll happily stand witness too, if that puts you at ease." Being one of the fourth years, standing witness to a fight - which meant that you would assist the teacher in charge with breaking up the fight when it gets out of hand - happens often. Since they were technically the seniors of all of them, they were called upon to be the mature referees, aside from the teachers and staff.
