Delilah's Peerage
~THE KING~
(Appearance subject to change)
Name: Delilah Dantalion
Age: 21
Gender: Female
Race: Devil
Chess Piece: King
~Sacred Gear~: None
Magic: Standard Devil Powers and can know the feelings of a certain person to a certain extent.
Skills:
Personality:
Delilah is a woman of grace, elegance and finesse. She likes to appear composed and dignified at all times to keep up the morale of her allies as well as to deny her enemies the satisfaction of seeing her break down. While she only dislikes those who cross her and her peerage, she enjoys more the people who could properly converse with her. Puns of any kind make her laugh out loud but she keeps it to a smile since she needs to keep up an appearance.
She also like the cuisines of a certain southeastern country and likes to make quick visits to purchase the delicacies.
History:
Delilah Dantalion is born to a Dantalion father and a Sallos mother. Her parents fled to modern Earth to live a more peaceful life, free from the politics of the supernatural world. However, their escape was not successful and in time, when Delilah was five years old, they were found by Devil agents and 'escorted' back to the Underworld along with their young Delilah.
One day in the Underworld, Delilah's parents were called off to somewhere and Delilah never saw them again. The young she-Devil continued to grow up in the Underworld with the Clan's servants and when she was old enough, she went back to Earth to try and establish a Peerage that will help her restore her name in order for her to be in a position where she can investigate her parents' disappearance without restrictions and more convenience.
She established her foothold on Earth in the form of a cafe which would act as her main base of operations. However, her start went pretty rough as she was targeted and ambushed by a group of stray exorcists. She would have been felled had a young Church initiate not intervened and assisted her in fending off the vagabonds. However, Delilah was still badly hurt from the encounter but the initiate was willing to help still and took her to the cabin that lied near the initiate's church.
There she recovered with the initiate's help but their little union was cut short when the local clergy found out about Delilah. The initiate gave everything he had to Delilah since he was not going to use them anytime soon and went to hold off his brothers for as long as he could. Delilah escaped the holy wrath once more and more smoothly this time but she never saw the initiate again.
She returned to her cafe and the strange devices that the initiate gave her proved useful in managing the cafe more efficiently. From there, she soon found a nun named Asia Argento and the rest was history, her main goals having not changed but there is one more added there...
"Oh, aren't you just a delicious looking morsel. Let me have a bite, hmm? Pleeease?~ Aww, don't give me that look...I'm not a venomous wittle spider. Probably~"
Appearance:
If standing on her human legs, Atla reaches a respectable height of five foot seven. If using her spider legs for support, she can reach nearly six foot three - quite an intimidating boost, especially since she has a tendency to sneak up on people for giggles. She has light brown hair, and is typically seen as somewhat dainty and slight of frame. Most would likely consider her to be fairly attractive. She has amber eyes, though typically she walks around with them closed, oddly enough. In her hair she wears a simple hair ornament, and she is a fan of simple, yet elegant seeming dresses.
Of course, when she's alone her appearance takes an entirely different nature.
Six spider legs grow from her back, able to be manipulated as well as her other limbs. The limbs themselves are covered in a hard, chitinous carapace that end in sharp points. Useful for stabbing things and in close combat. Six, pupiless eyes can be seen on her forehead above her two 'main' ones. She has spider like fangs that extend from her top two canines, that are difficult to hide.
Name:
Atla Vethoth
'Suzue Yamazaki' to most humans.
Age:
20
Gender: Female
Race:
Jorōgumo (formerly)
Reincarnated Devil (Currently)
Chess Piece:
Queen -
As Dililah's queen piece, Atla is quite adept in all areas. She has a knights speed, a rooks defense, and a bishops capacity for magic. While she perhaps may be somewhat lacking in the physical combat area, she is far from defenseless and could be a formidable opponent in a number of ways.
~Sacred Gear~:

Magic:
Youjutsu Like most Jorōgumo, Atla is fairly skilled in the art of Youjutsu. That is, a form of magic solely used by Youkai that create Illusions. She is rather adept at the art, and can create some fairly nifty and often times terrifying illusions. She can create things that seem entirely real to all senses, and many would have difficulty telling the difference.
She is by no means a master however, and as they are illusions they don't directly cause any direct damage to something - though they can render a foe immobilized as they are seeing something different than what is actually happening, and unless they can somehow overcome the illusion they will likely not be able to do much. Even if they know something is an illusion however, it takes a bit more than simply knowing something is fake to contend with it, as their very body will perceive all that is happening to be real.
- Eight Eyes of the Jorōgumo:
A series of Techniques developed by her family, inherited by her and her numerous siblings. They are a series of fairly effective and powerful Youjutsu techniques, so called the 'Eight Eyes' after a spiders eight eyes. She hasn't mastered every technique yet mind you, but she is still working on it.- Eye of Petrification:
The first eye, it fills the area with an intense, oppressive aura - the victim will imagine they are being watched from every direction. It induces temporary paralysis upon foes through an absolute seeming, all consuming fear. It is her weakest illusion, however, but quite effective in small doses and useful in settling arguments. It can be useful in temporarily stunning more powerful targets, and making lesser ones flee entirely. - Eye of the Sightless:
An illusion that deprives one of their vision, rendering the foe completely blind to their surroundings as far as visual senses goes. For those with enhanced hearing and other senses it's effective might fall a bit, but having your vision suddenly drained from you is always going to be a bit jarring to start with. By combining this with 'Paralyzing Gaze' she can make the foe imagine large, immense eyes gazing at them from all directions, further enveloping them in an illusion. - Eye of Agony:
The victim will feel themselves being cut, torn, and otherwise wounded by blades or whatever other weapons they fear or dislike the most. Most notably, all pain they feel is real and they will perceive all wounds to actually appear on their body wherever they feel the pain. Not restricted to man-made weapons either - they could feel as though they are burning alive or freezing to death. - Eye of Hostility:
One of the more powerful techniques in her arsenal. It will make the foe imagine there is in fact, another enemy present. This enemy is only visible to them, and they will more or less be wholly convinced they are completely real. The enemy can be something she chooses, or something created by the victims mind. If created by her, it will behave as she believes and expects it too. If created by the victim, it will behave as the victim expects.
- Eye of Petrification:
Fire Magic:
She is, in fact skilled with fire magic. While perhaps not as skilled in the art as she is with Youjutsu, she can still cast some fairly potent mid-level spells with it.
- Combustion: - A range spell that causes a mass of magical energy to converge on an area, creating a localized explosion on a certain target. Not too powerful but good at catching foes off guard and keeps them moving.
- Flame Pulse: - A somewhat defensive spell that creates a large pulse of fire in a circular motion around her, typically shoving foes away from her.
- Spider Fangs - Fire magic that takes the form of large fangs, resembling that of a spider and her most powerful fire spell currently. The jaws clamp down on a foe, immobilizing them and burning them alive. It is a close range spell at the moment, however and takes a fair bit of energy to use.
Flight -
The spider can fly now, like most other demons. Have fun with that, kiddos.
Skills:
Thread spinning/Control
Atla is able to spin very fine, very strong threads from her body. Most notably her spider appendages and her hands. The threads are sticky, able to cling to surfaces - however they are much more durable than normal spider thread and would require a bit more effort to break than just simply cutting them. They can be used for restraining, as well as setting traps of difficult to detect wire and thread or quickly traveling about.
Miscellaneous Skills:
- Chef:
Likes to think she's an excellent cook. She usually is. - Spider Tongue:
Spiders, well, like her. And she can talk to them. Yep. Pretty useful for recon. - Venomous Fangs:
Her fangs are in fact, venomous. Being bitten by her will in fact, end in likely death unless someone has some resistance to venom or other defenses. It does take some time to completely work, though. - Wall crawling:
She is indeed, able to hang from walls and crawl on ceilings with her spider legs.
Personality:
At first, Suzue, or rather Atla, would come off as incredibly polite and friendly. She is very formal in her mannerisms and tends to treat everyone with a high amount of respect and proper decorum. Indeed, she's fairly servile in her mannerisms at first glance. A bit catty and flirtatious, she doesn't take anything too seriously. She cares greatly for her comrades and friends, and while she doesn't like conflict she will never let anyone hurt those she cares about, even at probable cost to herself. She tends to dote slightly on new members of the peerage, treating them as 'younger siblings', and his highly overprotective of them. She is a fairly determined person, though she can often obsess over things and ends up perhaps getting too much tunnel vision on a single goal.
Of course, the longer one spends around her the more they might find a slightly domineering person who takes great enjoyment in teasing people. Not that she's mean or overly aggressive mind you - she just likes messing with people - a lot. Expect pranks, harmless flirting and teasing. She herself, also has a tendency to like being spoiled and doted on, if only because she has rarely experienced such things in her life, usually being the one doing it.
History:
Atla didn't have an especially interesting history until joining the peerage. If anything, she was rather average as far as Youkai went. She was the oldest child in a rather large and old family of Jorōgumo, on her mothers side of course. By the time she was ten, she had at least eight other siblings of various ages. As busy as her mother and father were doing their daily jobs and life to support their large family, she was often left to take care of her younger siblings when they were busy.
She had no desires for power, no desires to learn her families Youjutsu secrets despite the urging of her mother. She simply desired to watch over her younger siblings and lead a fairly normal life. She greatly was endeared to them, often striving to better her own schooling and teaching so she could better take care of them. She often spent days cooking, cleaning, and using her thread and extra appendages to take care of them and settle any arguments the rather large family would inevitably have. Of course, she never really intended to join a Devils Peerage either. It was the desire to protect her siblings that led to her becoming a devil. The youngest one had always been a bit of a delinquent. Getting into scuffles, trying to start trouble. Of course, she couldn't just sit by and watch - he was going to hurt himself.
It was during one of these fights she decided to directly intervene. She cared more about her younger brother than keeping the fact she wasn't exactly human from well, humans. The ensuing scuffle was quick and rather tragic. One of the thugs brought a gun with them, of all things. You can imagine how it played out. Atla was shot, and that was that.
It seemed however, that the scuffle caught the attention of a Devil that happened to be passing by. Delilah saved her that day, and that was also the day she lost all contact with her family. It hurt her to make such a decision to be sure, but she felt it would be easier on them to simply assume she had been killed and well, whoever did the killing simply got rid of the body.
She's been with Delilah and the Peerage for around five years now, one of the older members. She sometimes seems a bit down about being unable to contact her family, but considers the Peerage her family now so she doesn't let it get to her much.
Other:
- Akeno, definitely Akeno.
- She wishes to learn Senjutsu, and other forms of magic, though is focused on still refining her Youjutsu
~THE BISHOPS~
Name: Asia Argento
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Chess Piece: Bishop
~Sacred Gear~:
Twilight Healing: Asia's Sacred Gear which allows her to fully heal a target. She can send the healing powers of Twilight Healing in the form of a projectile, but it is slightly inferior to her direct touch. She can also create a bow and arrow of healing power, and if the arrow is about to hit an enemy, it will disperse instead of healing them.
= Twilight Saint Affection: Asia's Balance Breaker takes the form of a Golden Dragon Armor with red jewels that cover her body and grants her a field of absolute defense and protection. For a limited time, Asia can cover a field with tremendous healing ability and can negate any damage from virtually any sources. It does not negate the attack but rather it negates the damage that the attack would inflict.
Magic:
Standard Devil Magics: As a Bishop, Asia has shown great potential in using magic. Asia is currently studying under Delilah in order to learn combat and transport magic to help defend herself and increase her tactical versatility. Using her Bishop trait she can enhance her healing abilities with Twilight Saint Affection.
The Medallion: A holy relic in the shape of a gold medallion with a diamond shape engraved into the center and Asia as its latest keeper. The medallion grants its wearer increased attributes in all aspects, making the weak into the strong and the strong into the stronger. It also grants a 'third eye' in the form of a voice that speaks of things outside the wearer's view and thus, nullifying ambushes or any blindsiding attacks. It also allows the use of powerful destructive magic.
Skills:
Asia is good with household chores and can serve as a waitress or cook in the cafe.
Personality:
Immensely kind-hearted by nature, Asia is extremely shy, innocent and fairly inexperienced in things like socializing. She is also extremely caring towards those she cherishes like her friends and will attempt to guide and steer them to the path of the upright.
Even when she was still a human, she harbored no hate towards Devils and treated everyone equally, regardless of what they were.
History:
Asia was abandoned by her parents when she was a child and was raised in a church. Sometime during her childhood, she gained the ability to use her Twilight Healing and became known as The Holy Priestess. One rainy night, her church was attacked by unknown assailants and everyone she knew was killed and the church burnt to the ground. She managed to escape the search parties into the cold and wet forest.
She was dreary and battered when Delilah found her and offered her the opportunity for revenge, or at least find out who the culprits are and what their motivations were. Asia accepted and she was turned into a Reincarnated Devil as Delilah's Bishop. Her being Queen was Delilah's intention but Asia insisted on being a Bishop, reasoning that the role of the Queen should be given to someone much more suitable.
Now, Asia serves as Delilah's right-hand woman, despite not being Queen, and looks forward in seeing Delilah's peerage grow and flourish.
Appearance:
(Picture coming soon)
Attractive, tall for her age at a whopping 6' and still growing, with quite a surprising muscle to boot, it's hard not to mistake Mia for some amazonian goddess. With an easy grin and long locks of curly brown hair and sparkling green eyes, pink lips, light olive skin, and a full figure that would put models to shame, she turns heads easily and its rare that people don't go for a second glance. So yes, she is very, very attractive.
At least until she opens her mouth and the stupid comes out.

Magic:
In terms of pure destructive potentia, Mia is perhaps unmatched among her peerage. Her magic is a dual specialty of Fire and Lightning, equivalent in power to an upper-tier middle-class devil. Skill-wise is another matter entirely. Her spells are generally focused on AoE's and not so much on finesse, meaning that when it comes to single combat, she has very few options.
Fire Storm: A dual element spell that calls bolts of lightning from the sky in a wide range. Attacks targets indiscriminately and asides from making a satisfying explosion, the lightning bolts set things on fire. Has a long cast time - about fifteen minutes.
Cluster: Can be either fire or lightning. Its a spell that launches balls of magic that when burst, split into smaller, weaker clusters that further burst into smaller, weaker clusters, and the process is repeated ad nauseam until the magic completely dries out. As a fire spell the cluster explodes on impact, as a lighting spell, the lightning spreads out rapidly.
Explosion: A fire type spell that compresses flame into a fist sized projectile that is shot at opponents. Upon impact, it releases the stored energy to create a respectable explosion. Can be cast rapid-fire.
Wave Motion Flame: A wide sweeping gout of flame that not only sets things on fire, but also explodes.
Lightning Chain: Literally a chain of lightning that binds people and shocks them.
Bloodline Spell - No Survivors: The specialty of her clan. She can buff all her offensive magic with a special quality that prevents healing and regeneration on wounds she inflicts opponents unless its from a Sacred Gear. This bloodline trait also makes it so that it is literally impossible for her to learn healing spells or anything remotely regenerative, again, unless its from a Sacred Gear.
EXPLOSION!!!: Mia's not even sure what element this is. Creates a pillar of light that causes a really, really, fucking huge explosion. As in, wow, you'd think the sun was rising in the wrong direction. Has a cast time of 45 minutes.

Skills:
- Can sing and dance pretty well
- Is good at generally any sport involving strenuous physical activity
- Is insanely good at arcade and computer games (specifically anything FPS; not so much RTS)
- Creating IED's without magic
- Stealth(???)
- Theft
- Illustrations and painting
Personality:
Hyperactive, blunt, insensitive, and rabidly cheerful - is the most likely first impression one would get from her. It's as though her staple drink is pure caffeine mixed with a heaping ton of chocolate, sugar and a gallon of energy drinks for good measure (For her actual favorite drink, here's a hint: she doesn't like coffee); she's just that energetic. She dislikes it when others try to press their authority when it's needed - and authority figures in general. More than authoritarians, however, she absolutely hates stuck up, snobbish people that like to stand on dignity. This aspect of Delilah she only somewhat tolerates, but only because she's aware that she isn't a total stick in the mud, and that there's an actual point to acting dignified.
Otherwise - and in her words - "Fuck dignity!"
She's also quite the battle-maniac, and unfortunately for the landscape, loves setting off explosions. Large explosions. Really, she's uncannily intimate with the meaning of I.E.D. (both the explosive and the disorder,) and is only too happy to give people a practical explanation for it.
Lastly, and most surprisingly, she's more perceptive than she lets on. Despite how she acts - or rather, in spite of how she usually acts, she's rather adept at reading the measure of a person just by interacting with them. Her introspection's and thoughts can be surprisingly insightful. Still, there's a reason why such sudden bursts of insight are considered surprising - because even if she knows she should do or say a thing intellectually, doesn't mean she'll actually do the thing, especially if it isn't the slightest bit interesting to her.
History:
The eldest daughter of the Raum Clan, once one of the 72 Pillars, and long thought to be extinct. They were long know for being uncouth, unobservant of social graces and absolutely loathing of what they dubbed 'upper-class twits' among their peers in other clans. They were a clan that loved to party, where as unpredictable as all hell, and had a great love for blowing shit up; they were generally good a it too, much to the misfortune of their enemies (and sometimes their allies.)When the Great War broke out, splitting hell apart, many were curious as to what side the Raum would take - would they side with Old Hell, upholding the old ways and the traditional model of devils, or would they side with the revolutionaries, dreamers of a better tomorrow that was not completely without its faults? Perhaps they would even choose an unlikely third option and sit out the war, remaining neutral in an uncharacteristic show of timidity?
The Raums', being the fucking Raums', chose neither. Instead, they went with the absolutely insane option of declaring war on both sides. At least, that's how the history books recorded it - nothing else explains the frankly flabbergasting appearance of Raum clansmen blowing up members of both sides.
Of course, such a course of action has consequences. Inevitably, their clan was beset with enemies from all sides, all intent on wiping them out before they could do anymore damage.
And so they were hunted down to last man, until only five remained, and each of them went their seperate ways.
Among those five was Mia's mother and grandmother. The two of them remained hidden in Old Hell, where eventually Mia's mother got pregnant with and gave birth to her - details on her father are scarce, and her mother was never exactly forthcoming. Still, her birth, the first one to the clan after more than five decades of stagnation, marked their resurgance.
It was time to start planning for their return.
They couldn't just go back, of course. Doubtless they still had many, many enemies remaining. What they needed was a legitimate excuse to return to Hell. And conveniently enough, that reason just fell into their lap.
A returning family, with a Dantalion father, a Sallos mother, and their daughter, made a significant amount of waves withing Hell, enough that it caught their attention. News of what happened to her spread, as well as her departure to the human world. Suddenly, they had an idea.
Or at least, they would have had one had Mia, being all of 13 years old at the time, not fucking ruined it.
It was a simple plan, really, find Delilah Dantalion, introduce her to Mia, pledge to protect, secure ticket back into Hell's good graces. Simple, easy, effective, had it not been for the fact that Mia inherited her clans genes too well. In many ways it was a boon to them - she had the most talent with their bloodline ability than anyone had ever seen in literal milleniums, and her magic power was insanely high for her age. Couple that with her beastly battle instincts and surprisingly sharp wit, and she was a true monster in the making - but in many other ways, it was also a huge pain in the ass. She inherited their clans pure, undistilled, lack of social graces and general dislike of authoritative figures. Oh, and their pentiant for really, really big explosions - except in Mia's case, these were all magnified tenfold.
So, their plan was shattered to itty-bitty bits when Mia ran off into the human world after overhearing her family discuss it, by sneaking off into the train. Why? Just for the hell of it.
It was only by coincidence that a year later she ended up on the doorstep of a certain cafe, tired, hungry, absolutely lost and this close to blowing something up. She's been with Delilah for two years now, and it has never once occurred to her to tell her she comes from a powerful family. Her mother and grandmother, meanwhile, are literally traversing the human world to find her, not aware or even remotely entertaining the possibility that she's doing exactly what they wanted her to do.
Right now, she just enjoying her time in the Human world, and in general palling around (or trying to) pal around with her fellow peerage members.
Other:
-Despite how fit she is physically, she's probably the worst melee fighter in the peerage barring Asia, having no skill in hand-to-hand combat whatsoever. Her go-to method of combat is staying in the back and chucking explosive stuff at people
-Is a big fan of anime, manga, video games, and goes to idol concerts regularly
-Has a part time job not at Delilah's cafe. She does, however, live in the cafe and even pays rent
-Goes to school at a school under a pseudonym, and has used her devil powers to falsify her records and wave off the tuition
-Favorite character is undoubtedly Xenovia Quarta
~THE KNIGHTS~
Appearance: Short white hair, dark brown eyes, 5 foot, ornate black facemask covering his mouth. Rather small for his age and has an easily recognisable appearance, but it's easy to forget the rest of his facial features.
Name: Kael Shadowsword
Age: 15
Gender: Male
Race: Devil (shadow demon)
Chess Piece: Knight
Sacred Gear: None
Skills: High dexterity and finesse. Excellent stealth skills, good at not being noticed generally, despite his odd appearance. Very observant.
Personality: Kael is incredibly socially awkward, though slightly less so around friends or people he knows of. He's constantly prone to worrying and overthinking things, but in stressful situations he's able to put it behind him in order to achieve maximum efficiency. When given orders by colleagues he follows them without question. He's usually quiet and content to sit back and watch, although he can be surprisingly aggressive at times when him or his companions are called into question. Aside from all that he holds absolute loyalty to those he considers trustworthy and will not hesitate to lay down his life if necessary.
Other: He doesn't know much about the human world. He's really into period dramas and has some measure of appreciation for anime. Freaked out by unexpected loud noises.

Kael is a reasonably proficient user in his demon clan's special brand of magic, shadow magic, featuring many stealth based abilities. It does, however, have options for an all out fight, although it's naturally weaker in a prolonged battle as its techniques are revealed. Kael can use several forms of shadow magic:
- Shadow dive
Kael melts into shadow, disappearing from the physical world. Kael can dive into a shadow (not his own) and stays in it for a limited time, losing the ability to be sensed or damaged by normal means. This goes both ways, however. Kael can't attack or see out of the shadow he's in, though he retains his sense of hearing. He can also sense when the shadow he's in is connected to another, and can 'swim' between shadows as a form of movement. If the shadow he's in disappears, however, and there is no new connection, he is forced out of his dive. - Shadow Bind
By temporarily binding the physical realm with the shadow world, Kael can interfere with his targets through interacting with their shadows. More specifically, Kael can immobilise a target by pinning their shadow. A physical object lying on a part of a shadow translates the immobilisation of that part on the shadow's physical counterpart, although it can't do direct damage. This state doesn't last very long, about a minute, and can be resisted by those aware of it, but proves useful as a mix-up in between a string of attacks. Like shadow dive if the shadow is dissipated then the effects dissipate as well, but as well as that, this skill is very risky to use in pitch darkness since there's no way of knowing what you'll do if you blindly pin something. - Shadow space
With mastery of shadow magic comes a deeper understanding of shadows, and a user's shadow can be very deep indeed. Kael can effectively compress a small object and store it into his shadow, to take out when needed. He can't store anything large, nor can he store things that are alive. At most he can store things like daggers, shortsword, cds and the like. His storage space is also limited in size, ultimately adding up to the total surface area of his natural shadow.

Kael is part of a small clan of demons who use rare shadow magic. An ancient clan that once operated under a great demon lord whose name has been lost to time. A small clan with a ruling council of major families rather than a leader, they chose to divide themselves out of necessity and disperse across hell. Every so often a member of the clan appears and declares fealty to a master and will serve them from the shadows for a time before disappearing just as they arrived, though some stay with their masters until either master or servant dies.
Even as a part of this small clan, little was really expected of Kael as he grew. He was small, weak and clumsy, prone to stuttering in front of strangers and generally ill-suited to serve a master. In stark contrast to Kael was his older brother, a prodigy of the clan whose weapon skills and control of shadow magic far exceeded what few clan mates he could find to practise with. He was the apple of their parents' eyes and Kael was in the unfortunate position of constantly being compared to him. Still, his brother showed him lots of love when he could and they often played together, even though the only game he could ever win was hide and seek. When his brother wasn't around, usually when he was off doing the clan's training, Kael would go off and explore by himself. He liked observing things from places where he couldn't be seen, slowly learning the ins and outs of the area by himself. It was during one of these sessions that he happened to see Delilah Dantalion and her parents, running away from something. Even at that young age he could tell that she was beautiful, but that wasn't it. She carried herself with a poise and dignity he'd never seen before and he found himself captivated, even as they approached his hiding spot. He stared at the family as they ran, and as they passed by the girl looked back and their eyes met. Kael jumped back instinctively; it was the first time anyone had noticed him despite his best efforts to conceal himself, but that wasn't the only reason. Kael lay there for a long time, trying to make sense of his feelings. Even as the trio's pursuers thundered past his hiding spot, he simply lay where he fell. He got up after a time, still not sure how he felt. But Kael knew that she was his ideal master.
From then on he trained hard to master his clan's skills. Along with that he collected what little information he could about the mysterious girl so he could find her again. When the time came for him to choose a master he knew exactly where to go: the human world. Many things drew his attention when he arrived but he set it all aside for the time being. Seeking the girl he'd seen so many years ago he found the cafe she managed and immediately professed his desire to serve under her. Accepting him as her knight, Kael was fully ready to lay down his life for this person, though he was sure that she would not have remembered a boy she'd seen for only a second all those years ago.

Other: He doesn't know much about the human world. He's really into period dramas and has some measure of appreciation for anime. Freaked out by unexpected loud noises.
James Ashe-Hartnet
"You know what we British say; Long live the King."
Appearance: Standing at 5'11, with a well-developed Isomorphic body type. His body is littered with scars from the plane crash, and he has a few tattoos, namely a black wing on his left pectoral and a tribal dragon on his right forearm.
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Chess Piece: Knight
~Sacred Gear~: Man at Arms (Name subject to change) - Taking the shape of armour plating covering most of his arms, it allows him to summon multiple bladed weapons of varying types and wield them with deadly effectiveness. The weapons are magically enhanced, but are limited by the fact that only two can be summoned at anyone time, and lack the Holy or Demonic affinities of similar Gears.
Balance Breaker: Dragon Lord of Blades - The armour expands to cover his entire body, and he can summon a theoretically limitless amount of weapons that he can control using magic. His weapons gain a draconic attribute that vastly increase their power and can imbue elemental effects, at the trade off of being vulnerable to Dragon-Slayer weapons and magic like the Holy Sword Ascalon or Demon Sword Balmung.
Magic:
As a swordsman and physical fighter, James has next to no magical prowess. That's not to say he's incapable, he just has no use for it and thusly never learned any.
- Language - The 'unified language' spoken by all of humanity until God shattered it as punishment for their hubris, a standard Devil magic.
- Flight - another standard Devil Magic, allowing for free flight via bat-like wings.
Skills:
- Hand-to-Hand - In case he is ever caught in a situation in which he is unable to access his Sacred Gear, he has studied multiple Martial Arts and Fighting Styles, including taekwondo, krav maga and aikido.
- Parkour - A thrill-seeker as a human, James has been climbing walls and leaping across roofs since he was 12, and now as a Knight Piece his agility has increases even further. While not as direct as flying, it's much less conspicuous and a little more fun.
- Adaptable - He can react quickly and effectively to a lot of situations, and is able to pick up and retain new skills easily.
- Musician - Although it has no strategic value, James is able to skillfully play piano, guitar and violin; as well as being a competent singer.
- Hot Beverages - He's not much of a cook, but his teas and coffees are (debatably) the best in the peerage. It's a running joke that it's because he's British, and he doesn't disagree.
Personality: James is, for the most part, typical of a responsible older teen, if a little unsociable. He is polite and easy going, but also somewhat cool. He is difficult to offend and is widely accepting of most people, with a long temper. While not an entirely altruistic person, he will help out here and there, should he be able to. That's not to say he's all-forgiving by any stretch of the imagination. Sustained or repeated disrespect can begin to agitate him, and he will eventually lose his temper. The angrier he gets, the more cold and ruthless he becomes, and will not hesitate to cut down anyone that threatens those close to him, including Delilah and her Peerage.
History: James was born in Ipswich, England and lived a fairly nondescript life as the son of a carpenter and an accountant, and the older brother to twin sisters 13 years younger than himself. He did well in school, despite not being very popular due to his mild Asperger's Syndrome, and even had a girlfriend until his violent introduction into the world of the supernatural at the age of 17. Due to his dormant Sacred Gear, he was targeted by a group of Fallen Angels, lead by the person he believed to be his best friend. The event awoke his Sacred Gear and he escaped, only to have the fallen angels attack his family in an attempt to lure him out. Enraged, he killed two of them and lead the other three away, where he there in played a deadly game of Cat and Mouse across England for the better part of a year.
He ended up joining Delilah's Peerage when he arranged a private flight out of the country. Just off the coast of Japan, the Fallen Angels caught up with him and attack the plane he was on. When he managed to kill one of them, they abandoned the plan to kill him on the flight and instead completely destroyed the plane, sending him wounded into the ocean below him. He washed ashore barely alive, and he managed to drag himself to the nearest town before his 'best friend' showed up to finish him off for good. Facing off in a darkened alley way in the pouring rain, The blow was quick and decisive, a spear of light piecing completely through his chest and narrowly missing his heart... James didn't through. Pulling the short-blade from the Fallen Angel's heart, he lasted only a few seconds before he finally collapsed, dead before he hit the ground... Only to wake up with Delilah supporting his head and new-found life as a Devil. The Dantalion Heiress had apparently witnessed the fight between the him and the Fallen Angel and, impressed that a 'mere human' could kill a Six-Winged Fallen, saw fit to resurrect him as her Knight. He's been with her just over a year now, a relative newcomer compared to some of the others, but is just as loyal. He doesn't speak much about them but while disappointed that he can't be with his family, he is glad that he was able to keep them safe.
Other: It's a tie between Ddraig and Akeno, also if someone can think of a better name for his Sacred Gear I would greatly appreciate the help
~THE ROOKS~
Appearance:
Name: Sato Watanabe
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Chess Piece: Rook
Magic: None
Skills: Can cook and bake. Learns things quickly. Very good at physical labour.
Personality: Sato is naturally suspicious of others and won't hesitate to lie if he needs to, but he's not exactly unfriendly and is more disposed towards being honest. He's fairly straightforward and unemotional but usually polite, deferring to his seniors who usually know better than he does. He never does something without a reason but is ultimately kind at heart, though he often buries it under excuses. To those he trusts he's loyal almost to a fault, and tries not to let down those who trust him. If he thinks that they can do a better job than he does then he's happy to sit back and support them. Sato may seem unmotivated but he's willing to do just about anything if he gets something out of it, and he'll go to the ends of the earth to finish the job. He almost never gets angry, though it can be surprisingly easy to annoy him, particularly when resources are being wasted. He does his best to keep his temper in check, though, as he believes that he's far more productive without it.
History: Sato is part of a large and fairly poor family. As a child Sato's sacred gear made things difficult since his family didn't have really have the resources to support his ravenous apetite. This was less of a problem when Sato was born as he was only the second child, but things eventually escalated as the family expanded. He got used to sharing with his younger siblings quickly, though, and soon enough became one of the pillars of the family. He took a part time jub as soon as he could, mostly so that he could take the edge of the extra food costs that he incurred. One day, when he was going home from one of his jobs, he was hit by a truck. Sato was pretty fuzzy on what happened next but when he next opened his eyes he was face to face with a somewhat familiar girl, who informed him that she'd turned him into a devil. He recognized her as the proprietress of a cafe he'd gone to once. At first Sato was reluctant to help her, until she mentioned that he would eventually be rewarded. Now he performs tasks willingly under Delilah and helps her with the cafe, so long as he gets paid for it.

Maw of gluttony
Sato's sacred gear allows him to temporarily increase his powers by eating food. Ingesting any food increases his natural healing rate, defense and striking power, depending on the amount. The effects don't last that long, however. On a full stomach Sato can exhibit powers well beyond that of an average rook, but in combat that energy burns quickly. With Sato's sacred gear it goes even faster, and he crashes twice as hard. He metabolizes quickly even out of combat and has to eat much more often than normal. On an empty stomach he's effectively incapacitated and if there's still more fighting to be done, he might just start burning his life away.

~THE PAWNS~
"Your wish is my command, my King."
Name: Aramiel [known as Akasuki Daithi to humans]
Age: 25; real age is unknown
Gender: Male
Race: 6 winged Fallen Angel - Reincarnated Devil
Chess Piece: Four Pawns
Magic:
- Dark Light Generation: A natural ability for all Angels and Fallen Angels. Aramiel is known for his long-range tactics; hence his generations are usually made up of bows and arrows, or even modern day guns. Its color is blood red.
- Lightning Manipulation: Though it may not be as destructive Baraqiel's or Akeno's, but still useful in fights. It is often mixed with his Dark Light Generation to create a destructive combo. This also allows the projectile launched to explode.
- Plasma Beam: Forming balls of plasma near him, he can shoot a straight beam of plasma towards the enemy. He can max out at three beams active simultaneously.
- Lightning Boost: Covering himself in lightning, he is able to boost his overall physical abilities and add lightning damage to his attacks. This lasts for ten minutes. He is able to use this on others.
- Storm: A devastating AoE technique that costs a lot of mana, he is able to summon a lightning storm to hit his enemies. This can be done inside and outside, but it has proven more effective outside.
- Flight: Thanks to his wings, he can fly like most of his kind.
Skills:
- Finance: After spending quite a while on the human world, learning about their ways, he has learned how to manage money well.
- Cooking: He has quite the skills in this art... though they may not be aesthetically pleasing half of the time, their taste is definitely among some of the best.
- Parkour: He couldn't resist the allure of learning how the humans get by without the ability to fly.
- Fast Learner: As long as there is someone to teach him, he's able to pick up on anything rather quickly. This includes a number of magical techniques.
Personality: Aramiel has often been seen as a serious spirit. He can rarely be seen with a smile on his face when he is on the job - the job being in Rating Games. His tone is most often polite but monotone, which then makes it hard to tell if he starts joking or not. He takes the games very seriously because he knows that it is very important for Delilah. That's another trait to him - he is ridiculously loyal to Delilah, feeling that he owes the second chance of having a purpose to her. However, he isn't a stupid person. He would follow her to the end - but he would try and stop her from doing anything stupid. He would be there to punch her if she ever loses sight of her goal.
It isn't easy trying to get something personal out of Aramiel. Usually, he would only tell someone as far back as four years after he had fallen. That was approximately two years before he had joined Delilah's peerage. He is very secretive of why he had fallen, and so far, only Delilah (and anyone who has been in the peerage for a long time) knows why. It seems that he is a soldier through and through as he always seeks a leader - a purpose. He needed something to do, or else he'd just wander around, lost. Noted this, he doesn't seem to hold a personal grudge to those in the heavens even though he had fallen. He seems to speak fondly of God of the Bible and the Seraphs.
Most of the time, he acts as a sort of butler to anyone in the peerage.
History: Aramiel was a prized soldier in the Angel faction. Loyal to a fault and would go to the ends of the universe to follow a command, he was the perfect soldier. He doesn't seem to question the leadership of the higher ups. In fact, he's the first to act upon an order. It has to be noted that he was one of the original Angels so he has been alive for more than a while. So when God of the Bible died, he lamented with the other Angels. After all, He had technically been their father and their leader. However, they continued on. With the relative peace between the three factions, Aramiel was put on hold and just did whatever he could around Heaven. Whenever there's conflict, he would be the first one to descend into the chaos.
Unfortunately, Aramiel's reign as a prized soldier ended when he caught wind of a mutiny. One of the angels had wished to overthrow Gabriel and Michael. Enveloped with the will to protect what his home, he attacked the other angel. However, he accidentally killed the angel. Having committed a sin, and having heard that the angel had been bluffing, he fell from Heaven and resided on Earth. For the first time, he had openly mingled with the humans. Though, as expected, he didn't know what to do. He survived on Earth, yes, but it only seemed to just be surviving. Without a leader, he just survived but not lived. Because of his actions of murder instead of acts of lust, he was not contacted by the Grigori to become part of their faction.
He had gotten into a scuffle with other Fallen Angels who were desecrating a church. While he ended up defeating them all, he had suffered grave injuries. He was about to die, and he accepted it. However, that was when Delilah Dantalion came. She reincarnated him using four pawns. Ever since then, he became loyal to her. That had been four years ago. There has been some noticeable confusion among some customers who had encountered 'Daithi' before - as he still looked the same after four years. It was as if he doesn't age. Well now, he just aged very, very, very slowly... compared to humans that is.
Other: Akeno probably.
