Your story does not unfold on a simple planet, nor a solar system. You are far too important for that. The decisions you make will echo across the galaxy for eons to come. Your journey begins on the planet Faren V, a prosperous world located in the Habira System.
Whatever your reasons for being on such a world were, you all have arrived at the same fate. Awoken within an escape pod hurtling through an unfamiliar solar system with no memory of what came before, you have mere minutes to examine the planets before you and choose where your journey truly begins. Will you survive and search for answers? Or was this all the perfect opportunity to start life anew?

@astralGemini With each of you in your own pod you each choose where you want to go. Once you find a way off your starter planet you each choose where in the galaxy you want to go by way of star map and I'll create a post for all of you, everyone gets a unique adventure unless you all band together to follow the main questline.
Reminds me of a RP I was in years ago. Failed becase people couldnt Powergame their way though ever situatiuon or some up with a reson the survuive. Interested
@TheDarkTemplar, Question; is this a Space Opera like Firefly, with plenty of interaction with NPCs and potential combat with said NPCs, or a 'true' survival RP in which your main enemy is starvation, weather, or the local fauna and flora?
Both. Characters run the chance of space battles, anomalies, planets with high gravitational pulls, all this can leave you stranded on a planet where you have to survive the elements and npcs till you can find a way to escape. Outside of that you can run into npcs or other characters where combat is possible so yeah it has both.

Katyusha is an intelligent, pragmatic, diligent worker. Dedicated to her profession, Katyusha is less sociable compared to most. This is not to say that she's anti-social or aggressive toward others, she just simply doesn't know how to communicate with them through regular conversation or small talk. If someone was to talk to her about machines and whatever she's working on, Kat will be talking for at least an hour. She doesn't pick up on social cues and is generally quite dense when it comes to such things. She has an easier time talking to her machines than she does talking to people.
Biography
Katyusha lives and breathes engineering. Her parents were engineers, their parents were engineers.. you get the idea. Her family had generations of engineering plastered all over their name. Her homeworld, Olympus III is known for it's exploits in the field of mechanics purely because of her family. As a child, Katyusha was already being trained to become an engineer. Rigorous mathematical tutoring and constant mechanics workshops were what filled her daily schedule. Because of this, Katyusha never really made friends with anyone her age. Most, if not all, her acquaintances were adults who were around her parents ages. The young Chaykovsky heiress had an enormous weight of her shoulders. To succeed her family's legacy and continue it for the rest of her life.. Not that it bothered her, she quite liked engineering anyway.
She was also interested in Geology. Studying the various minerals and compounds that made up the crust and inner most layers of known planets. While her destiny was to become an Engineer, she also wanted to use her knowledge of various materials to create more innovative machinery, which her parents were very impressed with. Dimitri, the Surveyor drone, was Katyusha's first solo project. Although many surveyor drones had been made in the past, Katyusha was determined to create an even better one. Smarter, stronger, versatile. As with any project, she had to push passed failure after failure, but soon enough her galactic partner in crime was created.
When Katyusha became independent of her parents, she was stationed at Faren V to assist in their engineering exploits. This was normal for the Chaykovsky family as her extended family was also spread across the systems, furthering technology for everyone.
Equipment
Katyusha's weapon is a plasma pistol that doubles as a plasma welder. This weapon has two settings for the aforementioned uses.
Dimitri is a 3ft tall Surveyor drone which was constructed by Katyusha. This autonomous drone possess Katyusha's Matter Manipulator and can use it to greater effect due to it's upgrades. Dimitri's sharp legs allow it to move through almost any terrain, as well as operating as digging tools to break the surface. Dimitri also has a complex learning AI that slowly learns how to socialize through social interaction, although it doesn't really learn much from Katyusha because she's.. mostly awkward.
Relationships
Katyusha is quite close to her family, but not close enough to have a need for constant contact. She can go for months without sending a single message to them, however she does enjoy sending them funny pictures of things. She doesn't really have any relationships outside of familial ones.
Other
The Chaykovsky family is seen as more of a guild or clan, even though it only consists of Katyusha's huge extended family. Aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.
Katyusha has a deep love for Orchestral music.
She wants to turn Dimitri into a massive excavator some time, because it'd be amusing.
