EQUIPMENT:

Staley Suit

The staley suit is a state of the art, completely sealed combat suit, that can either utilize the breathable atmosphere around it, or use the oxygen pack attached when in a vacuum. The armor plating is capable of deflecting glancing shots from most weapons, including energy weapons, but is not capable of taking on a solid hit from anything more powerful than a .45 caliber.

1. Spread Blaster, similar to a shotgun, it's a energy weapon that fires a spread of laser encompassing a small area, which can do severe damage upclose.
2. Standard Issue Blaster Pistol. A semi-automatic blaster pistol capable of firing a single shot per trigger pull.
3. Standard Issue Blaster Rifle. A semi-automatic/automatic blaster rifle capable of firing one hundred rounds before needing a ten second recharge, it can be set to fire a single shot per trigger pull, or fire fully automatic, it is perfectly capable of tearing through most body armor.
4. The Power Adjustable Blaster rifle. This blaster rifle is a single shot blaster rifle that can have it's power adjusted to be either perfect for sniping infantry, or tearing through a vehicle's plate armor.

The Viper

The Viper is a foldable micromolecular sword, meaning.. That it cuts things on a molecular level, few things can withstand the slash of the blade, and they are carried by every soldier in the Federation.

Multi-purpose quad tank

This multi purpose four legged tank is quite useful in multiple environments able to climb difficult terrain and pull itself out of soft ground, it sports a large blaster cannon that is capable of destroying enemy armor, driven by a single pilot it is the only tank the Valstrex use.

The Vader

The Vader armored transport is capable of carrying up to twelve troops plus the driver, armed with a pulse blaster it can temporarily disable enemy armor and electronics while it unloads its deadly payload.

The Osprey

An aerial attack craft, this juggernauts in the sky pack a mighty punch with three high output gatling blasters, and inches of thick armor it is capable of taking a beating while dishing out damage.

Heavy Giga Gunner

Dressed in heavy armor, capable of taking multiple shots from small arms of just about any caliber a soldier wearing such is a hard kill in combat, and armed with a giga gun capable of firing pulsing blasts of blast energy that can tear apart even light armored vehicles.

Federation Mech

Federation mechs are powerful mobile suits capable taking quite a bit of damage from even enemy anti armor, this vehicle carries the only ballistic weapon the Federation still uses, and only for it's versatility and lack of better options to put on the mech. The grunt rifle fires large shells that are capable of being switched out based on combat needs, from shrapnel shells for anti-infantry, to a solid hot shell capable of melting through enemy armor.

Lt Mary is a strong point fo the Federation, the MockZ beneath her look up to her, and she can typically be seen leading troops right into the fray, she is particularly brilliant with the micromolecular blade, as well as a piloting a quad tank.

NAME: The Ayzrus Legions

THEME: Based upon Imperial Rome and comprised of humans, the Ayzrus fight in a very defensive manner building elaborate and deadly fortifications and traps with weathering machine gun fire and artillery support. They are known for being exceptionally skilled engineers who can erect impressive constructs and defenses with shocking speed. They can often force an engagement with their artillery superiority and will stubbornly hold their ground. In addition, they utilize many auxiliary troops to fulfill specific roles to augment their standard forces.

Infantry

Legionaries

The mainstay of the Ayzrus Legions, the Legionaries are a formidable fighting force who rely on drill and discipline allowing them to preform complex maneuvers and formations even under fire. Individual glory is shunned within the ranks of the Legionaries as to better ensure that each soldier stays in formation and doesn't blindly charge into battle as its a team effort which brings about victory. Armed with a semi automatic rail rifle, a bola grenade and a durable shield, the basic weapons allow them to hit hard from range. Squads may also carry with them the Pilum RPG, Scorpio Heavy Rail Rifle, Plumbata Machine Gun and/or the Mortignis Flamethrower.

Preatorians

Veteran Legionaries who have been hardened through many battles and drills, Praetorian are given special implants which allows them to carry their larger shields and use their automatic carbines with one hand. They form an advancing wall of pure grit and determination, laying fire down upon the enemy as they march forward with grim resolute. These elites also often will lead units of Legionaries into battle.

Arcanists

Runic Arcana

The language of a lost civilization whose very words carry power. Those who can read and reproduce the runes are known as Arcanists and are also the foremost experts in psychic abilities and phenomenon. By chanting the forgotten words in specific sequences they can produce abilities that can send fireballs or arcs of lightning soaring across the battle field. By carefully inscribing runes into metal however, they can imbue the power of Runic Arcana into the very equipment itself; a shield that will never break, armor that can repair itself, a gun that will never malfunction, a wall that will never fall, a blade that will never dull.

The three major disciplines of Ayzrian Runic Arcana are: Telekinesis, Vox Arcana and Terramancy. It is said that these three disciplines are responsible for the speed at which the Legion can construct fortifications, shaping the very earth itself through its Arcanists. Telekinesis is used to move objects around like shells to artillery or sandbags to walls. Vox Arcana is used to give communicate over long distances without the need of radio and can even be used to demoralize the enemy. Terramancy shapes the very ground itself as uneven ground suddenly turns into flat roads and stones rise from below to form walls and trenches naturally form in minutes.

However, Runic Arcana is infamous for being a very time consuming and energy consuming process, thus necessitating the need for so called "lodestones". Lodestones are monuments or pillars erect to essentially store energy and act as a quick reference library for Arcanists, many of whom take the form of statues or great artistic sculptures. Words can be quickly searched and automatically placed in the proper order without the need of dutiful memorization on the part of the caster. Their construction is carefully overseen by the Arcanists as properly placing them can result in the creation of a Geomantic Web which is what gives Runic Arcana is true potential as mentioned above where as other wise careful ritual and divination and time would have to be spent on spells in situations where there may not be any time. Even raising a lodestone in the wrong place by a couple of millimeters can result in an incomplete Web that could cause horrific disasters for any Arcanist attempting to use it.

Those who are in tune with magic and physic powers are referred as "Arcanists" within the Legion and can be considered in equal part battle mage and combat engineers although their duties often fall towards the latter. Able to errect fortifications and infrasturure at a moment's notice, the Legion's famous defensive fighting style can be attributed to the Arcanists and their mystical art of Runic Arcana.

Auxillary Varangian Shocktroops

Elite auxiliary troops of brutal warriors wielding choked shotguns that fire in tight spreads with axehead bayonets. Extremely aggressive, they are often the spear head and true damage dealers on the offensive. They are also expert winter combatants, facing no difficulty fighting in deep snow and can keep a solid footing even on the slipperiest of ice. In more recent battles, they've also proved reliable marines during landing operations from their armored longcraft.

Auxiliary Hunters of Al Haradz

Expert auxiliary marksmen, capable of picking off officers at extreme distances. The Hunters are known for their excellent eyesight, able to make out shapes in storms most can't. Although they usually use long range Heavy Rail Rifles or their own Jezail Anti-Material Rifles, they bring a nasty surprise in the form of their Naphtha Chargers; versatile flame based weapons that can be used to lob flaming shots of adhesive gel like a grenade launcher of spray flames out in front in a fan like a shotgun. They are most comfortable at home and deviously will cover themselves in sand or go as far as to hide within sand dune to ambush enemies.

Auxiliary Lahimkin Cataphracts

Atop brutal and enraged Juggernaut mounts, Lahimkin Cataphracts care only for the blood they spill. It is their rage and blood lust which allows them to bond with their equally deadly mounts. With both rider and mount clad in heavy plate armor, they may not be as swift as more traditional cavalry and fewer in numbers, they are a terrifying sight to have charging into your flank, slaughtering troops. Anyone who has faced them before almost always focuses even anti armor weaponry to try and take down the super heavy cavalry before they enter melee.

Auxiliary Gotha Lancers

More traditional and "lighter" cavalry, while Gotha Lancers are often used for scouting and harassing, they are most famous for a single trait: endurance. Both in terms of health and stamina, both the horse and rider is unmatched in the Legion who can ride for days on end without the need for sleep and little need of food or water. Thanks to their advance respiratory equipment, they can fight even in the midst of toxic fumes and poisons gas. Many a battles have been won by the Lancers suddenly charging out of noxious gas and preying upon unsuspecting foes.

NAME: The Darksiders

THEME: The Darksiders are an army that work based off of stealth. In a direct confrontation, their natural weaknesses of poor constitution stands out. Thanks to this, they do the most obvious thing: Not fight fairly. Mimetic camouflage makes their troops extremely difficult to locate without specialist equipment, and the fact that they are extremely dexterous allows them to be in places completely unexpected to their opponents. Masters in guerrilla warfare, they are a force to be reckoned with.

EQUIPMENT:

The N.E.T.O II Glassuit

A highly advanced mimetic camouflage suit that allows Darksiders to blend in to almost every background. It also hides the already insignificant heat signature of darksiders, and the helmet allows them for breathing both underwater and in a vacuum. Furthermore, the N.E.T.O also has grappling devices and gecko-like clingpads attached to the hands and feet, allowing for vertical movement of troopers.

Personal Weapons

Standard issue monomolecular combat blade. Requires caution to draw and wield.

Farscythe sniper rifles. Using standard dart-throwing technology, it's silent and almost pinpoint accurate.

Pointscythe flechette gun. Whilst best at short ranges, due to the flechette nature of it, it is also very useful at medium and long ranges, although with a dramatic drop in accuracy and penetration. Dead silent.

The best thing that infantry have against anything with any sort of armour. The Hellscythe is a high-powered rail rifle that, instead of throwing darts, uses electromagnetically accelerated 'bullets' that can punch straight through most armour. Makes a very distinctive whining noise before firing.

Well... Not quite the only thing. The hollowblast causes enemy vehicles to implode thanks to launching compressed gravity charges that 'explode' in an extreme gravity field that causes the area around them to collapse in on themselves. This field will fizzle out after around 20-30 seconds, long enough to kill crew and often rip out the entire insides of a vehicle. Do NOT set off near infantry. The effects are not pleasant.

Standard issue assault rifle for soldiers. Dart throwing, semi-automatic, silent and lethal. Very good against lightly armoured soldiers, sort of shit against everything else.

'Shockwave' APC

Capable of carrying 15 infantrymen and their equipment into battle, and with front-mounted machine guns. The vehicle runs off of a hydrogen engine that procudes minimal noise, and the vehicle also has crude mimetic camouflage, useful against aerial spotting, but not much else.

'Stalker' VTOL Dogfighter

Highly manoeuvrable, the Stalker requires only two soldiers to man it, using a neural uplink system to ensure pinpoint accuracy despite extreme high speeds. This means that the stalker is highly effective at dogfighting and ground strafes against light vehicles, but has extremely poor performance against heavily armoured foes.

'Whisper' Aerial Troop Transport

Designed for speed rather than safety, the whisper has muffled rotors and a disruptive camouflage in order to get around 20 troops to wherever they are needed in the battlefield as fast as possible.

'Pariah' Troop Firepower Platform

A weapons platform often rigged to Shockwaves, the Pariah is a heavy duty weapons platform that can provide accurate anti-aircraft and anti-armour capabilities to soldiers. It is highly vulnerable to damage however, and as such has also been equipped with the N.E.T.O's Mimetic camouflage abilities.

'Blacklance' GCV

Hydrogen powered, mimetically camouflaged against aerial spotting and bombardment, and with twin blacklance anti-armour cannons. It's a tank, but one that you almost never see coming.

'Stalker' GCV

(Sci-Fi Version)
Holding a singe Darksider and with much superior rough terrain capabilities, the Stalker is the only vehicle in the Darksider arsenal with the same camoflauge abilities as the N.E.T.O Suit. Combined with minimised blacklance cannons, it's a lethal light-to-medium vehicle killer, and with mounted machine guns, it also ably destroys soldiers.

Theme: A dominate Samurai arm utilizing Bushi and Shugenja, they rely on magic and futuristic armor/weapons equally. Their style of fighting is focused on the variety of Bushi school techniques and Kata while the Shugenja focus on elemental based magic and no armor due to its limited range of motion.

First line of infantry defense, armed with spears and heavy armor. Spears are relatively standard though they pole is made of a heat resistant alloy due to the energy focused at the spearhead causing it to glow a soft blue, or green… or any color really.

Death Seekers

Samurai stripped of status due to bringing extreme dishonor to themselves, their Lord and/or their family. RAther than being executed or allowed the right of Seppuku, they are sentenced to fight in battles until such time they regain their honor through death in battle. Their weapons of choice vary.

The best archers of the Kingdom, they utilize a variety of energy bows.

Heavy Cavalry

Comprised of nothing but Utaku Battle Maidens, their Ki-Rin steeds and their Shugenja Travelers. The Battle Maidens often wear light armor or specialized riding armor for easier movement on horseback. The type of Ki-Rin ridden varies, though there are only 4 types, Earth, Fire, Wind and Water.

Mounts

Unlike most horse mounted Cavalry, the Utaku Battle Maidens do not utilize standard horses, instead, they have a close bond with Mythical beings called Ki-Rin. Ki-Rin are elemental spirit horses that have special abilities and magic based off of their element.

Ki-Rin of Fire

These Ki-Rin will burn anyone other than their rider and a Traveler to an extreme extent, initial touch gives 2nd degree burns, longer contact causes worse burns.

Ki-Rin of Earth

This Ki-Rin is the strongest and has Skin as hard as Stone, this causes conventional, non armor weapons to be ineffective against it. It poisons anyone who touches it other than its Rider and a Traveler, the longer the contact the more severe the poisoning.

Ki-Rin of Wind

This Ki-Rin can fly at extreme speeds. It suffocates anyone who touches it other than its Rider and a Traveler, if contact is broken the feeling of suffocation diminishes. It is the only one with 8 legs.

Ki-Rin of Water

This Ki-Rin is the fastest on land. It drowns anyone who touches it other than its Rider and a Traveler. Prolonged contact causes a slow filling of the lungs with water, starting with a hacking cough.

Utaku Battle Maidens

Each Utaku has a bond with her Ki-Rin, making it so only she is able to ride it though any Traveler may touch it, as well as individuals that she and the Ki-Rin give express permission to. No one, no matter if permission is given by the Utaku, is able to ride the Ki-Rin other than the female it bonded with.

Air Units

The Dragons were born from the primal stuff that existed before the universe was created, born into substance as was all else. Each embodied a concept, and drew its power from the existance of that concept. First among the dragons were those born of the elements:Air,Earth,Fire,Water, and Void. They were the mightiest of all dragonkind, and in their wake followed their sibling Dragon of Thunder, born of the storm and the fire within the hearts of men.

Incase you were wondering, yes… they can use magic and if they really wanted to they could use weapons. But I mean… they’re dragons who can do cool shit, why would they be carrying a katana?

Shugenja

Shugenja were the priests and scribes of Rokugan, as well as the envoys of the fortunes and kami and the keepers of their clans' secrets. They were able to create powerful spells by offering prayers which were written upon scrolls called ofuda.The magic of the shugenja was drawn from one of the five elements: Fire, Air, Water, Earth, and Void. While all Shugenja can use all the elements, with the exception of Void, they all have a specialization.

Kitsu Shugenja

Water Shugenja
The Kitsu Shugenja can learn what an individual’s ancestral history is and use that connection to negate their abilities. They are the anti-mage Shugenja. They have the capability to heal allies, make them faster, slow down the enemy and summon an ancestral spirit which acts as their Yojimbo.

Inferno Guard

Fire Shugenja
The Inferno Guard was the most famous sub-unit of the Firestorm Legion, specialized in using the threat of Fire and its horrifying destructive properties to influence enemy actions. They rarely numbered more than a few dozen shugenja. Only a handful of non-Phoenix shugenja had ever been accepted into the Inferno Guard dojo. They defended positions by creating walls of fire, they protected by immolating archery fire from the sky, and they obscured by filling the skies with thick plumes of smoke.

Soshi Shugenja

Air Shugenja
The Soshi Shugenja school was based on illusions and its very close to the Soshi traditions, and was mainly taught in the Dojo of the Closed Eye. The Soshi traditionally were expert on tejina, but after the War Against Shadow these knowledges were given to Yogo Kakatsu and a new small dojo was created to teach and control the Shadow magic.

Tamori Shugenja

Earth Shugenja
The Tamori Technique allows for greater versatility in the use of spells, extended so far as to allow others to use them in the Tamori’s stead, if proper preparations have been made. The Technique also allows for a dramatic reduction in casting time, but again only if adequate preparation time is provided, making the Tamori particularly deadly in ambush situations.

Isawa Shugenja

Void Shugenja
The Isawa Shugenja were the clansmen for whom the Phoenix Clan was known. They were considered by many to be the most versatile shugenja in the Empire. Unlike most families, whose shugenja schools focused on a single element, the Isawa Shugenja had different teachers who would allow a student to focus on any of the five elements. Void Shugenja specialize in the ability to alter fate, steal info from people’s minds, make people forget and change the fortune of allies and enemies.

The Iuchi Traveler school was amply trained in the use of magic to transcend the usual constraints of space, the Travel Magic. A traveler could make in hours a trip that would take weeks for anyone else. The Ki-rin Travelers counted only the most powerful and senior shugenja. After the Khan's Defiance there were less than a dozen Ki-rin Travelers remaining, though now their ranks have replenished.

Daughter of Seppun Kogan, Seppun Akari is not exactly a MockZ, in fact, she is an actual human being who simply joins the Shugenja in battle as their ‘General’. Trained by the Kuni, her forte is Earth Magic, yet thanks to her travels she is able to improvise spells with relative ease, merging elements to create secondary effects.

Akodo Saito

Yojimbo and Love interest of Seppun Akari, Akodo Saito is a fiercly loyal and extremely honorable Lion Clan Bushi. Said by many to be a protege, he is well verse in the ways of his Clan’s Kata and overall Techniques of the Akodo dojo. He has a confidence in his skill that often boarders on Bravado and doesn’t back down from a challenge no matter who his opponent may be. Also, NOT a MockZ and the ‘General’ of the Bushi when in battle.

Utaku Sarnai

The new Emerald Champion of Rokugan, Utaku Sarnai is a well known Battle Maiden whose mount while in battle with her fellow Cavalry members is a Wind Ki’Rin by the name of Kaze who is larger than his fellow Wind Ki’Rin. Fiercely loyal like Akodo Saito, the things that she has witnessed have made her battle hardened and fearful of no man, beast or creature. The ‘General’ of the Cavalry, she leads from the front and joins them in battle whenever they are needed. NOT a MockZ.

THE PYRATE LORD

Thatch is quite the character, openly free and rebellious with little care for authority figures outside himself and anyone who he deems a worthy threat. Combined with hints of belligerence and a dose of kleptomania, Thatch's reputation far proceeds him in the MockZ World. He exerts only limited control over his subjects, preferring to go do his own thing without a care in the world, only rallying them to his own banner in times of a battle.

His record is actually a bit deceiving as upon a glance, he seems to be an incompetent commander who looses most of his battles. However, he usually will go about trying to destroy as many of the enemy's warm achinese and steal as much of their equipment as they can before surrendering and running off with the loot. Someone would be right to ask as to how did someone like him ever remain a commander, the truth is this self styled "Pyrate Lord" has actually changed little over his time in the arena.

PYRATE'S CODE:

Arial sky-borne steampunk pirates and bandits who are infamous looters and vultures of the battlefield. They hold no code of honor but that of "honor among thieves" and no loyalty outside that of their captain and loot (which sometimes overshadows the former) are looked down upon by many armies because of their distinctly unmilitary conduct. They make heavy use of flying ships and floating skimmers to move around and attack from but are not afraid to rappel down from their ships and fight on the ground. Their dominance of the air is unquestioned in many battles and they have been the bane of many armies's large super heavy flyers or vehicles which the Pyrate often board and take over or destroy.

When not actively in battle, the various Pyrate Captains and their ships will battle each other for loot and fame when not just carousing at taverns or improving their ships. It is only the fact that all of them hold ultimate loyalty to their Pyrate Lord Commander. There is little standardization between the armies with each man and woman using whatever they have looted or do made themselves. It goes without saying that any Pyrate Captain can go toe to toe with enemy commanders, much to the surprise of more arrogant foes.

HARBOR:

Pyrates have little standardization between each other and their styles of dress and appearance can vary so wildly that they can be seen as completely different peoples to outsiders. The only unifying symbol they have is the symbol of their commander, Pyrate Lord Thatch: the Iron-Skull Jack. The same goes for their equipment and ships to which a great deal of pride is invested by customizing a ship. Captains and crews often decorate or upgrade their ship with loot gained from past battles and raids as a sign of their skill and cunning leading to a very random if not ramshackle appearance. While colorful, it makes proper cataloging ship classes a nightmare as many are convert beyond initial recognition.

Some weapons however are ubiquitous across all models, the most common is a magnetic crane or or anchor of some sorts that's used to pick up metal objects and steal them away. Rappel gear is also common aboard all ships, randing from simple ropes to drop pod like "dive bells" to specially crafted long fall boots that completely negate any consquence of jump and landing from the extreme hieghts the ships usually stay at. Swivel guns are surprisingly consistent being a scaled down support gun that's almost like a small artillery piece that fires grenade launcher rounds. Outside of that, anything is fair game; pyrates are known to go to battle with everything from ballistics to energy weapons to even more exotic weapons, almost always stolen from someone else.

Basic Units

Crew Hands
Swabbies, Landlubbers, Deck Hands, Shipmen, different ships call their Crew Hands different things but they are the ones who do much of the work aboard a ship. Cleaning and maintaining flying vessels takes a degree of bravery or foolishness as one wrong move and they could tumble down to the ground. They are often organized into groups that go by as many names as they do: mobs, gangs, parties, boys, etc. Particularly drunkard Crew Hands haven been known to go into battle with a bottle full of booze and a torch to breath fire (although their "accuracy" leaves something to be very, very desired). They are armed with a pistol, smg or one handed shotgun in one hand and a blade or axe in another. They are lead by Buccaneers.

Particularly daring Crew Hands who show a penchant for melee combat are often assigned and trained as Swashbucklers, melee combatants who use flashy moves and dazzling tricks along with a few well placed insults to overpower their foes. These raiders often swing off the sides of ships and skimmers, grabbing on by the rigging or handles, eager to prove themselves and their acrobatic talents in battle. They carry cutlasses and swords, sometimes dual weilding, sometimes with a buckler with throwing knives being a popular ranged option. They are lead by Corsairs

Deck Gunners
Any pirate vessel worth its salt always has a bank of cannons or other ranged weapons and its the Deck Gunners who have to oversee them. Armed with the best guns and boasting the best eyes, Deck Gunners are expert marksmen who've learned to shoot from atop crows nests and unsteady ship decks. They have a penchant for being extremely proud and arrogant of their marksmanship, often boasting and attempting to have shooting Competitions. Competitions quickly snuffed out by either the Captain or Quartermaster as to not waste the ship's stores of munition. They carry long rifles, snipers and even machine guns into battle and lay down fire support. They are lead by Long Shots (sometimes called Hot Shots on the account of their egos.)

Gun Luggers
While many Deck Gunners are satisfied with their snipers and rifles, others develop an itch for bigger guns and the desire to use them more so than their own prized rifles! Gun Luggers carry carts or small wagons into battle with Swivel Guns, Rocket Launchers, Tesla Beacon or Gatling Turrets and provide some of the heaviest firepower not bolted to a ship. Its said that they mount their guns on carts not because it allows them to move heavy weapons around quicker than most others, but because it allows them to instantly start firing by simply dropping the handles and opening up on an enemy. They too are lead by Long Shots (sometimes called Big Shots, adjusted for their new weapon's sizes.)

Grog Bombers
Getting drunk is a crucial part of Pyrate culture and drinking is a social outing. Of course, even Pyrates only can handle so much drunkness and drunkards tend to be of little use on a ship. However, the obscene amount of liquid courage some pyrates drink naturally lends them to the role of Grog Bomber where they are intoxicated grenadiers. They throw firebombs -sometmies filled with iron shavings and scrap- at enemies with all the bravery their alcholism can give them. They're also adept at breathing fire simply by spraying out their booze behind a torch. They are armed with bombs and crude weapons as they aren't going to be doing jackshit with a real gun or blade. They are led by often disgraced mates known as "Arsonists".

Engine Riggers
While all of the crew is expected to know how to maintain the ship, no one really knows the ship quite like its Engine Riggers, not even the Captain sometimes. They are highly experienced engineers who boast a surprising knowledge and intellect to many accustom to the drunk pirate stereotype. They form close bonds of kinship between each other in the bowels of the ship looking after its engines and turbines and other delicate machinery. When they are forced into battle, they wear specially designed Engine Rig Harnesses with Rebreather Packs, often hand made by the Engine Rigger themselves allowing them to carry immensely heavy objects to battle. Engine Riggers take pride in their work and its in their Harnesses which it comes out the most. They are armed with Rivet Guns, Steam Blasters, Steam Picks, Tesla Hammers or Power Drills, often using one in each hand. They are lead by Engine Masters.

Sky Sirens - Mythical women with enchanting voices that touch at the very hearts and souls of men, these winged women are the spell casters of Pyrates. Many Pyrates both male and female have an innate distrust of the Sky Sirens due to stories of them luring ships to their doom as they chase their songs into cliffs or other hazards. Its because of this that many Sky Sirens are the lovers of Captains, Mates or even entire ship crews as to guarantee their own protection. Their magic comes in the form of songs that they can magically project straight into people's minds with spells focused around mind control or hypnosis and are masters when it comes to disrupting communications and orders. Particularly skilled Sirens have been known to tap directly into communication lines or radio waves and send soldiers walking to their doom, hypnotized by their beautiful yet malicious song. They aren't usually given weapons, forcing them to rely on flight and claws or knives in defense. Sky Sirens can only bear female daughters who become Debutantes or apprentices to Sky Sirens.

Figurehead Maidens - Sometimes also called Prowl Maidens or just Figureheads, they are the result of when a Sky Siren dies and her soul is trapped within the figurehead of a ship. These constructs are often the spearhead of Pyrate charges and attacks, floating in atop unnatural wings. They still retain the use of their voice allowing them to communicate to others, but in a ironic twist, their songs are no longer hauntingly beautiful, but just down right haunted. The infamous "Maiden's Chant" as the reverse effect of the songs of the Sky Sirens, terrifying soldiers to their very core with their ethereal wails and cries. They are armed with whatever the Figurehead they posses had meaning they're usually armed with swords although some have managed to figure out a way to use smaller anchors as war hammers. They are lead by Figurehead Angels.

Captains - Being a Pyrate Captain means that one must embody certain traits like cunning, bravery, strong will, ambitious, adventurous and a bit of ruthlessness. Needless to say, you rarely see an incompetent Pyrate Captain. Each captain command ultimate authority upon their given ship as they sail the horizon in hopes of adventure and loot to bolster their own ships and arms. Each captain commands a ship and its crew, sometimes referred to as a Ship Gang and they fight in as an analouge to a mlitary company. Prestigious and wealthy captains can attract the attention of more specialized crews meaning while many beginner captains only have a handful of Crew Hands at the start, those who forge their own dystanies and survive many raids and battles can expect to command Sky Sirens, Engine Riggers and other fabulous crewmembers with a core of Crew Hands so hardened and veteran that simply calling them Crew Hands would be a disservice.

Mates - Captains may have official authority over a ship and her crew, but its the Mates who have real power. Being a Mate can be more stressful and intensive than being a captain, being the go between the captain and the crew. Its their job to look over the crew, the provisions, and the armory while also being able to know everyone on board and where things are stored. They are also often instruments of command and punishment acting on behalf of the captain. Captains share a special bond with their Mates as they are the ones who they trust the most and hold some actual loyalty too but any good First Mate is willing to pounce at a chance to mutiny a crew and ship from a weak captain. Lower ranked mates are often acting as Sargent level leadership for units (Buccaneers, Long Shots, Corsairs).

Gaius Withersteel is a bonafide megalomaniac. He thinks of himself as a god in the flesh and uses every chance he can to prove that he is exactly that. He has a casual disregard for life and feelings that makes him a very shred and ruthless commander. He appreciates the effectiveness of both his subordinates (which is everyone) and his foes (which might also be everyone) but only so far as they serve as a backdrop for him to showcase his superiority. After all, there is no glory in defeating a weak foe. His rules are law and his word is his bond. However, all things must serve himself and if his word needs to be broken because it is more convenient for him, he will. Of course, this is the very definition of hypocrisy as he expects any and all people to give him unwavering honesty and loyalty. He is cunning and excellent at deception (including self deception) which easily allowed him to pass any examination that might have threatened to disqualify him from this perfect chance to assert his will over a tiny population of subjects.

THEME: A Steampunk British Imperial Naval force with a healthy dose of religious fervor and xenophobia.

The Imperial Marine:

"Marines don't die, we regroup in Hell."

The standard fighting man of The Withersteel Empire. Relentlessly drilled, trained for marksmanship and close combat. The private Marine is a rifleman with with aerial assault training. They are trained in the use of rifle, bayonet, and roping down from the landing craft. The Non-commissioned officers of the marines also carry a saber to set them apart form the rank and file and are trained in it's use. The officers of the marines are educated on tactics, command, as well as far more focused fencing training and carry and revolver and a saber. There are also specialist marines that perform tasks like medical, mechanical, heavy weapons, and artillery.

Imperial Grenadiers

"Battles ain't won by fancy tactics and maneuvers. They're won on the point of a bayonet."

Selected from the largest and strongest of the marine stock the grenadiers do double duty as the regiments tasked with carrying handheld explosives and grenade launchers, as well as, being the leaders when storming the enemy in hand to hand combat. The rank and file grenadier is taller and stronger than a normal marine and given a long rifle with a long bayonet and fighting knife on top of their stock of grenades. The Non-commissioned officers of the regiment also carry heavy slashing sabers and grenade launchers instead of a rifle at all. The officers of the grenadiers are very similar to their counterparts in the standard marine regiments, but, as always, taller and stronger. Some are from less civilized parts of the Empire and choose to carry more traditional hand weapons like axes, polearms, and two handed swords.

The Imperial Air Corp

The pilots of The Empire. They perform many tasks from the manning of airships as well as the piloting of the fighters and bombers. The most well known and glorious of these men are the ace pilots with high kill counts and impressive numbers of sorties. The tasks of this corp can range from piloting to simple maintenance or management of the air ships of The Empire. The vast majority of the airmen are not fully combat trained and instead use the ships and planes as their primary weapon. All airman of the corp carry a revolver for self defense.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: For somebody his age, and nominally a scientist at that, Maceroy looks very much like a lean, well-built athlete in his mid-twenties. With light skin, piercing green eyes, and long, wild white hair on top of his physique, emphasized by slightly tight black jeans and a plain, form-fitting white shirt, he initially comes off as every teenage girl's wet dream, as well as that of many young women... which is deliberate self-styling on his part, to make the point that looks aren't everything. Not to mention the various health benefits of being well-muscled.

MENTAL DESCRIPTION: Maceroy is not exactly the friendliest person in the world, showing off a cold, even smug demeanour to most that he rarely lowers. To those he considers friends, he can be warm and even loyal, but these people are few and far between, and rarely incorporate the youngsters of MockZ. Speaking of which, an unusually long career in MockZ has left him with significant experience in combat strategies, backed up by an intellect heavily geared toward science and enhanced by brain implants for even greater efficiency and effectiveness. Typically, he sees himself as above others, and has the mind to prove it, but even for a MockZ commander he shows an incredible lack of sympathy for his fallen soldiers, a matter that changed from a more careful mindset some time ago.

ARMY REGISTRATION

NAME: The Apollonians
THEME: Enlightenment-geared scientists with focus almost purely on scientific advancement and the wartime benefits of such technology, including the use of clone soldiers, mechanical muscle, artificial intelligence (restricted to human-scale intellect to prevent an unwanted human/MockZ existential crisis), hive minding both biological and artificial, and of course powerful distance weaponry.

EQUIPMENT:

Powered Combat Armour (PCA)

The power armour of the Apollonians is an example of the sort of advanced technology they have at their disposal. Not only is each PCA suit environmentally sealed, proofing it against hazardous environments until damaged, but they are also highly resistant to penetration at their respective grades, possess infrared and radar detection systems, and in a pinch act as strength boosters for their wearers, amplifying their striking and crushing force, and their lifting capacity even more so. Seen above: the helmet worn on all grades, itself bearing a HUD showing armour damage in the appropriate locations and the infrared/radar output.

Grade L

The lightweight grade of PCA, this suit sacrifices some protective capacity in exchange for much more substantial speed and agility boosts in addition to the usual strength improvements, making the wearer rather more difficult to hit in the first place. Even so, it is rarely used except on troops who are unlikely to interact with enemy forces directly, such as scouts, snipers, and artillery support.

Grade S

The typical armour grade given to most troops. It is quite capable of fending off small-arms fire almost completely, remains an effective defense against larger grade personnel weaponry, and does not hinder movement to any significant extent.

Grade H

At this armour grade, the protection offered is closer to that of an armoured vehicle than an infantry unit. In addition to much thicker and denser armour plates, the wearer is also provided with a rechargable plasma barrier encapsulating the physical armour, and strength boosters enough for the wearer to lift a small van over their heads. Unfortunately, in order to avoid overstressing bones and joints with either the suit's weight or the extreme strength it offers, the wearer's speed is also rather limited as a result.

Monoknife

A monomolecular blade that, naturally, cuts at the level of molecules. Despite this, it is considered a last resort weapon when all other options have failed, and if the Apollonians are down to these, they truly are in a dire situation. Troops wearing Grade L and S PCAs bear them as separate weapons; troops in Grade H PCAs often don't bother carrying them, as they are rarely unable to destroy anything they can get a hold of in the first place, but can nonetheless have them incorporated below one arm or the other as extendable weapons slightly longer than standard.

Plasma Blade

A powerful weapon that, rather than cutting with a physical edge, contains an ultrahot beam of plasma within a magnetic field, allowing the resulting blade to slice through the vast majority of armour in a pinch. Whilst very dangerous, plasma that hot is extremely difficult to generate initially, much less contain its heat; therefore, any given plasma blade will run continuously for but a couple of minutes before its power source is expended, and less than that if it is turned off and back on again.

Hovertank

Powerful, densely-armoured machines designed to glide above the surface of any environment, these tanks are built with structural integrity and energy efficiency in mind, considering that they may have to stay active for extended periods of time and endure extreme firepower from various foes. As it happens, this also makes them very well suited to bearing versions of the energy weapons in the Apollonians' arsenal, namely the plasma mortar artillery piece, a twin-linked variant of the plasma cannon, and a version of the Heavy Tes-Las Gun in the form of a gatling cannon of sorts; whilst solid or explosive munitions can be equipped as well, this is rarely done for reasons of ammunition storage.

Medium

Whilst not supreme in the field of armour plating and energy barriers, the Medium Hovertank is nonetheless a force to be reckoned with, capable of deceptive speed for its size given that mass is not so much of an issue, and able to be equipped with weaponry as described above.

Heavy

Much bulkier and well-armoured than the Medium Hovertank, with even stronger energy shielding, very few weapons short of those with much larger targets in mind will suffice to physically damage, let alone destroy it. This tank furthermore comes with a mounted HTLG on the front, allowing somebody in the seat to fire at targets more precisely than the larger weapon mounted further back, whilst still retaining protection from its enhanced energy barrier.

NAME: Maceroy Z-EX, referred to as "Lil' Mace" both affectionately and derogatively.
POWER:
APPEARANCE: As a clone of Maceroy Prime kept up to date at all times, the two are extremely physically similar, right down to the apparent physical age. The difference lies in Lil' Mace's wings, two sets of four designed to grant him the benefits of four wings that just two wouldn't offer; this also necessitates a change in clothing style, and his is distinguished from both his brother clones and Maceroy himself by a unique topless robe of sorts.
