So, here's how my day's going.

Hour 7 of 12 hour shoot, car commercial in the middle of downtown. Had to close the side streets and keep pedestrians from crossing where the picture cars will drive through. They don't care, because they're New Yorkers, so take after take is ruined.

Also, it's cold as fuck and raining.

Kill me. :(

I'm a 2nd AD (Assistant Director) for tv and film. It can definitely be a super cool job but a lot of the time it can also be really stressful and mentally taxing.

@Lovejoy Oh jeez. TV and film...just commercials, or other things too?! It sounds interesting, at least.

But people are jerks. T.T There ought to be a way to cordon it off properly...Or some sort of warning sign that would make people think twice.

Color me impressed, @Lovejoy. I just graduated with a BA in Media Studies via the film tracks, and even with my college focusing on social causes and artsy, individual/small group projects on no budget, I can get a sense of how much shit can pile up on top of itself at a moment's notice, and the number of things to keep track of besides.

Any advice for a rookie Dungeon Master, Draken? I'm working on a bit of a oneshot for my group, in case the DM is ever otherwise occupied, but I've very little idea on where to start.
