Nickname: the Clever Caterpillar, Wise-Worm, Zane (among friends)

Gender: Male

Age: Despite his youthful appearance, Zihin has long since lost track of the days he can find worth remembering, and he certainly couldn't tell you the number of days which he couldn't remember having had at all. If you ask most Wonderlanders, they'd say they've always been taught a bit of the caterpillar's wisdom in their youth, but not many could tell you when he said most of the things that people still go around saying today. Of course, one could always ask him - yet he wouldn't outright tell you much of anything at all, regardless of whether it pertained to the question. You might even think it wise to confront him on his evasion, which he would respond to with "where is the respect in asking a philosopher his age?", or "I'm just as old now as I was every other now, and all the nows before those," and then he would head off again on one of his immaculate tangents, and you'd be hard-pressed to get so much as a word in for your own case.

Personality: The Great Zihin Yavas considers himself to be a student of the Mind, dedicating much of his time and energy towards the ponderings of the world and the not-world, as well as everything else in-between, all so that those who wouldn't want to ponder all of these things for themselves, shan't. He has come to many a conclusion in his extensive tenure as Wise-Worm, stating such insight as it shouldn't be a concern for the birds who nest in a tree's canopy to have to keep an eye out for falling snakes, and that if there should be a drop of rain, be keen to hold your parasol beneath you if you mean to keep afloat.
In conversation, the Caterpillar tends to drift from one thought to the next, letting off one subject just as quickly as it had been brought up, though he has on occasion found ways to tie everything together at the rambling's resolution. However, he can come across as being a fair bit spacey or forgetful, as he does just as well a job of leaving his thoughts open, leaving everything he uttered entirely up to the interpretation of the listener. Unfortunately for some, this can lead many discussions away from their original intention, so long as the other participant isn't doing well to keep the old Caterpillar on track. Further, he's absolutely horrible at remembering individual names, and will come across rather boorish and uncouth when asking one to identify themselves.

History: For as long a history as the Caterpillar may or may not have had, there still isn't a great amount to be told to any who would listen to the tale. For all that he could remember himself, Zihin has spent a majority of his life among the flowers and grasses of the garden, sleeping upon his pile of pillows at his pad. Often, he would take walks about the bright and vivid cascades of color and life, spending a great deal of his time meditating among the Omberry bushes, or swimming near the banks of the flavorful waterfall, always transfixed in his wandering thoughts. Occasionally, Wonderlanders would come into the garden to seek his wisdom, and he would then sit and ponder with them, smoking away at his pipe and focusing his mind on the great issue at hand. Eventually, he would reply in kind, and his accomplice would swiftly thank Zihin and be off, oftentimes much faster than he could find the time to bid them a good evening, regardless of what time of day it would be then.
Sometimes, though, if he dwells on it, Zihin can recall a wonderful, faraway place, at a time when he felt much more spry and active. Though the details have all blurred in the back of his head, one distinction that he can always call to mind was how wonderful the warm sun felt against his skin, and the smell of foreign incense and oils.

Job: It would be fair to say on anyone else's behalf that the Caterpillar does very little of anything at all, beyond munching upon leaves and smoking from his pipe; but if ever accused of laziness, Zihin would fervently attest that he does a mighty fine job of tending to the garden during Katrina's absence, aside from the time he spends speculating on the realities of the world.

Crush: It's difficult enough to push through the haze of Zihin's mind, with how easily he allows his thoughts to drift from subject to subject. Rarely does he ever talk about any feelings beyond his love of nature or fascination with the mind, and even then it is never on the subject of attraction. Still, the Caterpillar does wonder every now and then if there will ever come a time that he should need a partner - perhaps, however, that time hasn't come yet.

Other: Zihin smokes a strangely potent, bright, and intoxicating herb from his long wooden pipe, with which he is able to craft eloquently colorful depictions of the characters or concepts he is talking about. Though he truly means no harm by it, he has a bad tendency to exhale into other people's faces as he speaks, which can sometimes make even the most resilient lungs hack and choke. Though he would be embarrassed to show anyone else, Zihin is extremely fond of singing, and delights himself with the melodies of classical poetry and song. In his speech, the Caterpillar has a tendency to over-enunciate certain words, or insert redundancies where they needn't occur - however, if questioned about this, Zihin will act clueless to the fact that those repetitions arose.

I have spent the morning updating the list of characters and adding a few new things to the Zeroth post and to the main locations post. I updated the interest check so we will see how that turns out.

For the select few that have been mentioned below, I have a favor that I ask of all my Wonderlanders that is purely for fun and a tip to the 'Original Alice' time in Wonderland since my character is her granddaughter. I ask that all of them provide me with a Trinket, some small item that Alice would have taken with her to remember them by or to help her believe that all of it was indeed real. Please see my profile to see what others have chosen so far as an idea. If you say no, I completely understand ^-^

I'd like to make a Red Queen

Unfortunately, we only have a Red King.

We do have room for the Queen of Hearts but they would need a very detailed profile that worked with the White Queens background and gave enough freedom for a Red King to have a background that is not locked into place. The roleplayer for the White Queen is open in working with the Red King and changing the background. That would mean all 3 of you would need to work together. I will only accept a few versions of this character so it will depend heavily on the profile.

@Majoras End and I will both be the judge on this one as it will greatly effect her character/background and the Red King. We could only accept if you were also willing to change a background when a Red King appears.

That would probably be difficult as the Red Kind is the brother to the White Queen and we have a good reason in place as to why there are two Kingdoms to begin with.

• It is possible for the Queen of Hearts to be a third and separate power on her own, wanting the rest of Wonderland for herself and deciding to join the war.
• It is possible that the Red King and her had a relationship that went sour and he banished her so she is very much against him more than the White Queen.
• It is possible that the Queen of Hearts supports the Red King, hoping he will find the Alices secret to traveling worlds and leave Wonderland which means one less rival.
• It is possible to have the Queen of Hearts actually be the Red Kings wife.

These are all just possibilities I can think of off the top of my head and even I know that a few probably won't work as it will lock the other person's background in place before they even join. As it is, the Red King is the sibling to the White Queen. That is the only thing locked into place. The background or how they view their childhood could still be very different as they are only Siblings related by marriage. This means they still have freedom and my not even view the White Queen as a sibling.

The reason why the Queen of Hearts being related to the Red King might be hard is that, right now, they don't have a background that is too locked into place. While, if you add a real sibling....that changes things.

You are more than welcome to follow the sibling idea if you can show me a very convincing character that will not lock the Red King's background to into place as I want to give the roleplayer as much freedom as possible.

The Queen of Hearts, Amor, Etta

Female

She's a healthy 28...But she'd never tell you that.

Love is the name of the game. The way the Queen of Hearts plays it, is through seduction. From her perfectly made up face down to her stiletto clad toes, everything is meant to lure people in. Etta is constantly in tight, minuscule dresses that hardly leave anything to the imagination. The only time she is ever really dressed is when she is in the midst of battle, wearing her suit of armor.

There are definitely two sides to every coin- or card, for this matter. The Queen of Hearts is soft-spoken,
warm, inviting to any and all who don't know her. The air about her lures people in, making them feel all warm and fuzzy inside. She absolutely knows the importance of body language. Once she has you in her claws, the card is flipped. What was once a sweetened heart becomes a cruel, oozing pool of loathing. She envies the innocent and is determined to capture every last unscathed heart for her own personal collection.

There was once upon a time when the Queen of Hearts was just a little princess, all innocent and caring. Too many betrayals and heartbreaks can change a person.

Wonderland was once the perfect home for young Amorette. She grew up the only daughter to a lesser known Queen and King of the land,
yet their kindness was well known. They were in peace with the White King and helped to monitor the outer lands of his kingdom. Her parents always affectionately called her their little love, their darling heart. Everything was absolutely wonderful in Wonderland.

And then it wasn't. When the early death of her mother occurred, a twelve year old Amor was left alone with her grieving father. Their home slowly turned into one of ruins as he refused to leave his room. The money soon ran out and the young princess was left to fend for herself as the help went off to find other employment. Her father soon perished from a broken heart when Amor turned fifteen years old. The love she once had held for her parents quickly turned to loathing. Loathing for her mother leaving her all alone, loathing for her father for not being the dad she needed. The innocence in her heart began to shrivel.

The young princess didn't know where to turn. She turned to stealing from the local shops just to have food in her belly. On one such encounter, she met a man who soon promised her the world. Amor could feel her heart beginning to heal as it finally found somewhere that she would be loved again. Two years into the relationship, her heart was shattered when she found out that she had been the man's secret.
He had a family all on his own. It was then, at eighteen years old, she was determined to never let anyone in.

So she returned to her family's home. It was still in ruins, but the outside appearance meant little to her. In it's decay, she recognized her own bitter heart's twin. As she became more ruthless, she was able to secure those in Wonderland who held blackness within themselves.
They became her new family. With her new identity, a new name had to be decided. Princess Amorette became Armorette la Demence, for she was born from the madness. She despised those who had love in their hearts and knew that it was her mission to relieve them of their burden.

While the White Queen and Red King were busying themselves with Alice's, Amorette wanted to make the entirety of Wonderland bleed. They weren't there to assist her when she needed help. Nobody batted a lash to the lone starving child. Wonderland would pay for it's crimes.

She had heard tales of a woman long ago- Wonderland children's version of a scary story. This woman had captured the original Alice and was known widely as the Queen of Hearts. She was a vile creature who held such power through the land. When Alice was finally able to escape back to her home, the Queen of Hearts just seemed to vanish. To this day, nobody really knows where the woman went.

Amorette wanted to revive the terrible legend. What better than to bring a Boogey-man, so to speak, to Wonderland? It was so she decided to pick up where the old broad left off. But...where would she stand in the new world?
She knew there was an ongoing battle between the royal siblings. While the White Queen would help those in need, the Red King would capture the Alices' to solve the mystery. It was known that the Red King wanted to find his way to Alice's world- but where would that leave Wonderland? It would be ripe for the taking.

It was decided. Amor would bide her time, allow the two royals to battle it out between themselves. If the White Queen was victorious, Amorette knew she could swoop in when she was injured. If the Red King won, he'd be gone to Alice's world. Win, win for the Queen of Hearts. She would take her time to build her army of madness.
Then, she would one day rule Wonderland and make every heart bleed crimson.

Amor is the Queen of Hearts, living in the outer lands of Wonderland in a desolate castle. Her time will come when she will join the battle against either the White Queen and the Red King.

Etta is only interested in stealing hearts, not mending hers.
