Harpy's Wing Characters
Basic Info
Name:: Arianna Carolina
Nickname/Alias:: Ria / Ari / Weightless Queen
Gender:: Female
Age and date of birth:: 47, 24th of March
Guild:: Harpy's Wing, her guild mark is gold and on the sole of her right foot
Rank:: Guild Master
Personal Information
Personality:: Arianna is the closest embodiment of the tenets of Harpy's Wing to pass through the Nest in an awfully long time. A mothering and light-hearted individual to all her precious Harpy children (the term children encompassing even the Harpies who are older than her...), Arianna is well known for being overbearing at times, though she always means well. To add further to her mothering nature, her capacity for forgiveness to those truly repentant for their actions is near limitless, balanced only by the depths of her rage and fury against those who bring needless and unwarranted harm against those she is charged with the protection of.
History:: While most orphans who make their way to Harpy's Wing are either found on the streets of Luna Crescentia, or stumble through the open doors of the guild themselves, Arianna's entrance and acceptance into the guild would certainly be one of the most bizarre. Fourty-three years ago, a young Harpy's Guild member was sitting high in the branches of the Nest when he saw something he couldn't believe. There, floating aimlessly through the sky, was the form of a young girl. She seemed to have no control over her movements, and was simply floating along as the air currents took her. Stunned into inaction, the Harpy stared at her as the winds brought her closer and closer above him, until finally her tattered dress snagged in the upper branches of the Nest; spurred to action, the Harpy sped up the outside of the tree and pulled the young child down before she could float free again.
And so it was that Arianna was inducted into the guild. Abandoned by her parents and bereft of purpose, her magic had made itself known; making her as detached and errant in the world as she had felt at the time. Over time, she would find a place among her new family, and would grow to become one of the most powerful and prominent of all Harpies as she mastered her bizarre and unique magic; though she never did find her weight again, and to this day must wear heavy materials on her person to stop her from being blown away by a rogue gust of wind.

Illedrith Adrasia - "Illedrith is the closest to a biological daughter that I'm ever likely to have, I think. She was brought into the guild only a small time after I was invested as the Guild Master, and I've seen her grow into someone who is worthy of the respect given to her. Ever seeking to improve herself and her guild equally, Mis well embodies the tenets of the guild that I've molded into her, and I look forward to seeing what she will become!"
Ceri - "Our cute little Smoke Knight, Ceri has been upheld as the unofficial 'Guild Mascot' by popular vote for ages now! She tries really hard, and I like how well she's worked with Mis, and how much she's grown as an individual since she's joined the guild. With her...unique magic she's likely to be a great asset down the line, and I think that working with Mis and her team will really help push her along to reaching the height of her potential!"
Kyuuten Rallis - "One of our guild's fantastic little oddities! Kyuuten's magic is something I've never seen before, and serves as a very interesting point of conversation and research. He's done a really fantastic job of striving towards the perfection of a field of magic that practically nobody has been able to help him with, which is super admirable! I love his lively attitude in the guildhall as well, the place always seems lighter and more alive when he's around to take part in our guild activities; the Nest really wouldn't be the same without him."
Saeko - "Saeko is one of our guild's rising stars, most notably shown when she absolutely rocketed through the standings to attain her B-class ranking, and she shows no signs of stopping any time soon!
She's really benefited from her sparring and training with Mis and Alex, and has shown a much higher proficiency with her swordplay of late; I know having a fellow requip magician has really been a help to her when it comes to perfecting switch timings and the like. Outside of her abilities, Saeko is a darling to be around, always so positive and valiant in her outlook on life. I have full faith in her abilities to catch up to her mentors and become one of the next pillars of this guild!"
Dreadlin Nauss - "The most well-loved lizard this side of Fiore? Dreadlin's been with us for years now, and it's been an absolute treat to watch the guild come to grips with accepting him as a strong central member of our family! I think his absolutely stellar work during the attack on Luna Crescente really sold it to the guild members though, plenty of them owe their lives to his efforts in the battle; having a safe central location near him meant that the S-class mages could be better utilized from a central location, decreasing the strife in the town by a considerable margin and allowing allies to come to the aid of struggling Harpies. He is yet to step out and take advantage of the good reputation that he's built for himself within the guild, but his growth demands it; I think I might step in and help him on his way for the upcoming S-Class examinations..."
Pan - Arianna chuckles to herself "Trying to take care of Pan is like trying to take care of an errant and willful puppy. Just when you think you've seen all his tricks and have a handle on how he'll behave, he pulls out something new for you to parse and then handle. The number of times that guild members have just straight up lost him when trying to follow him or accompany him somewhere is frankly ridiculous! He's unfairly spry for a man his age! It's a tragedy what happened to his village, but I cannot let him take the grief to heart too much, so I've been keeping him busy with all sorts of different things. He's another one that will be on my meddling list when it comes to the S-class exams!"
Cyril Parjure - A light colour enters Arianna's cheeks, and she acts scandalized. "Goodness gracious, isn't he just the most voluptuary fellow you ever met?! The things he says about me and my daughters sometimes make me blush just thinking about it! The number of times he's been punished by the rest of the boys for going too far can't even be counted at this point. Everyone knows he's got a soft spot for Illedrith which is quite cute, but I think he'll need to do a great deal of proving himself if he's ever going to have a chance there! He's quite the young mage though, and he's certainly steadily improving; I guess we'll have to see if he can pick up enough to potentially qualify him for the S-Class exams this time around."
Alexandria Galtemalos - "Haaaaaaaah, you can't possibly understand what a blessing it's been to have Alexandria as part of the guild over the last few years. She really does live up to her upbringing, she's a consummate diplomat, as well as a powerful A-class mage. Once she's got a few more things to requip, and is more confident in her shouts, she'll be a true force to be reckoned with. In a no-magic, swords-only duel she'll beat anyone in this town, and has demonstrated this exact fact in the Golem arena more than once. A true image for my young Harplets to live up to, she has been nothing but an excellent influence on the town!"
Delsin Bastille - "Ahhhh, Delsin, my lovingly frustrating counterpart... What great things we could have done as a team for this town if he'd focused more on supporting the existing guild than creating division between the mages of this town. I can't deny that his work as guild master has been truly exceptional though, and his eventual successor will have a difficult legacy to live up to. Hopefully one day we'll be able to reconcile our differences and work together for the good of Luna Crescente. I look forward to that day."
Vega Ashworth - The pure depth of rage in Arianna's eyes when Vega's name is mentioned is almost terrifying. "NEVER mention him to me. His name is not fit to be even spoken anywhere near the Nest. He's incredibly lucky that I'm a busy woman and that Delsin has intervened on his behalf on multiple occasions. If he comes ANYWHERE near my younger members again, I swear on my position as Guild Master I am going to put him in a shallow grave; Delsin's exhortations be damned."
Jack - "He's a real Golem, through and through. Always after a good fight, he's had more warnings from both guilds than I care to count, but at least he's actually good natured about it rather than malicious. From what I could tell, he was really damaged as a person when he came to town, and it's good to see him finding a resolution to that in his guild! I honestly wish him all the best"
Kazue Hattori - "I was incredibly skeptical of this one at first, since she's not very lively, and seemed to only be after money. Turns out I was wrong to judge her just by appearances, since she is apparently doing all this to support her family back at home, which is something that I can empathize with most strongly. I think if she warms up to her guild - and the town in general - she'll be an excellent mage to have around."
Damian Ivorn - "Despite the fact that I only rarely interact with Damien, I certainly hear a lot about him. Delsin is constantly complaining about having such a competent mage with no drive to improve or thrive whatsoever. I've had plenty of those in my time as well, so I fully empathize with him about it. Seems like a nice enough young lad though, even if he does stare a bit too much sometimes..."
Seto Nakahara - "That one can be quite a riot sometimes! The number of times he's been caught doing benign things around the Nest is absurd, and we're all collectively sure there must be just as many instances where he's gone completely unnoticed! And despite the hard face I have to take as the Guild Master towards his pranks and jabs towards my precious children, I do have to quietly admit that some of them are quite funny; he certainly has a penchant for flare doesn't he?"
Kage (Magus Lilith Astra) - "Hmmm, a curious one that one. She gives off a...very bizarre air, which I'm aware is an odd phrase coming with me. But she's quiet enough, and competent enough for me to not care to delve any deeper unless there's a reason for it. I do love the aesthetic she's got going though, and she does well to survive in such a masculine guild. Hope it doesn't affect her for the worse I guess!"

Basic Info
Name:: Delsin Bastille
Nickname/Alias:: Master Delsin / Earth Commander
Gender:: Male
Age and date of birth:: 27, 4th of August
Guild:: Golem's Hand, his guild mark is on his palm
Rank:: Guild Master
Personal Information
Personality:: An orderly and no-nonsense kind of man, Delsin is swift at making accurate evaluations of things, and does not hesitate acting on them. His advice, while occasionally seeming to be unfeeling or needlessly harsh, nearly always turns out for the best when it is taken on board and worked with. He has an exceptional skill for picking out talent, and also for seeing when talented people are underpeforming due to simply being too lazy to improve themselves; a personal gripe of his.
Ever seeking to improve and protect the place of his birth, Delsin strives every day to improve the quality of life in Luna Crescente, whether by making the citizens safer, by better modelling the town, or by fostering a strong community through various ventures and exercises. Ever seeking personal improvement as well, he trains daily with the S-Class members of his guild in order that he might be prepared for anything that his foes might throw at him. Honorable, just, confident, and driven, his leadership is what has lead Golem's Hand from obscurity to prominence among the great Guilds of Fiore in an absurdly short period of time; a trend which does not seem to be slowing down any time soon.
History:: Delsin rose to prominence in Luna Crescente after the attack of the Dark Guild six years ago. Seeing the devastation which had been brought upon his city, and the cries of the townsfolk who had lost things precious to them in the attack, he said enough was enough. He raised a great stone platform in the middle of town (on the spot which would eventually become the Rock of Crescente) and raised a great crowd as he campaigned for a stronger local guild, which would be focused more on the protection of the town and the townsfolk rather than simply providing a place for strangers to live.
His words spread like wildfire, and many people rallied to his cause. Not only townsfolk who heard his words and saw how they would benefit, but also some members of Harpy's Wing who felt that what he spoke was correct, and that the only reasonable action would be to mold their guild towards his ideas. This whole mess became more and more aggressive until talks formally broke down between the two sides, causing an exodus of some Harpies into what would be come Delsin's new Guild, Golem's Hand. Taking the reins of the newly formed Guild himself, Delsin has worked tirelessly from that day forth to ensure that his dreams of a safe and prosperous town become a reality.

Arianna Carolina - You notice a small amount of colour enters Delsin's cheeks before he coughs and answers, "While I may not always agree with Arianna's decisions, and have criticized her methods in the past, it goes without saying that she is the heart and soul of the town. There's not a citizen of Luna Crescente that she doesn't know, and how she keeps track of all the goings on in town while also managing an entire guild by herself is eternally baffling to me. The quasi-enforced distance between us is disappointing to me, as I have great respect for her, and think we could...work together quite well."
Illedrith Adrasia - "Arianna's poster girl? What a fitting person to ask about next.
Arianna has done an excellent job of raising Illedrith in her image when it comes to guild affairs, and she's well loved in town for it. I must say that I don't appreciate her one track mind when it comes to assigning fault to my guild members when they inevitably end up in scraps with other Harpies, but I do appreciate her ensuring that the fights are broken up and that both sides are reprimanded for their reckless behavior."
Ceri - "...who?" You show Delsin a picture. "Ahhh, the small one always hiding behind Illedrith's skirts. We have never formally met, and unless one of us has business with the other I don't see that changing any time soon. Still, she's stuck with Illedrith on plenty of missions so far,
so she's either stronger than she looks, or I respect her tenacity in sticking with it!"
Kyuuten Rallis - "Probably the only one in Harpy's Wing who is as energetic and driven as Illedrith. He's done a lot around town to make himself useful I hear, which is always something that will get you my respect. No weakling in a fight either, his various forms and powerful Heavenly Body magic can easily overwhelm an unsuspecting opponent. He's overall a great asset to Harpy's Wing"
Saeko - "She'd be one of the newest Harpies, wouldn't she? I haven't met her a huge number of times, but she's made a reasonable impression already. Her shield magic is an absolute blessing to her teammates I'm sure, so it's sad that she chose the Harpies over us. She's a feisty one sometimes, which I guess can be a good thing and a bad thing at times, but she seems like a nice enough young lady."
Dreadlin Nauss - "Oh, the town's most discussed oddity? It's certainly rare to find a Lizardman around anywhere outside of the swamps and deep forests, so it was a bit of a shock when he rocked up and decided to stay one day. That was years ago now though, and his work protecting the town was absolutely fantastic; I had the honor of fighting near him, and he really worked as a fantastic central point to focus our efforts around. A powerful fighter even without his forms, he's another one that I'd like to have in my guild to be honest."
Pan - Delsin has a bit of a chuckle before answering "That old trickster? He's a real bag of beans isn't he! Regardless of what some people say, he's a massive boon to the town with his healing magic and his lighthearted way of life; I have a feeling the town would deeply feel his loss if he were to leave us.
Aside from that though? He's just a good natured trickster. Can't begrudge him one or two pranks at that age though can we?"
Cyril Parjure - "Hah, Cyril is well known around town that's for sure, though perhaps not for the reasons that he would want. I think there's actually a club dedicated to sharing stories about his flirting adventures as cautionary tales for women of all sorts across town...
Still, that does reflect worse on him than he potentially deserves, as he is a mage of some skill, with plenty of room to improve in the coming years. It goes without saying that regardless of his potential flaws, Harpy's Wing is lucky to have such a colourful, dedicated member, even if it does put poor Arianna's girls straight in the line of fire."
Alexandria Galtemalos - "What I wouldn't do to have Alexandria reconsider her decision to join Harpy's Wing and join my guild instead... I cannot express just how much trouble she has saved around town over the last few years for both guilds, and her constant influence along with Illedrith as the two voices of reconciliation between the guilds will probably be what ends the guild rivalry (if anything is going to do it anyway). A powerful mage in her own right, her shouts combined with her ability to dominate the front lines of a fight have brought many a cocky Golem down when they've thought they've had the advantage. Definitely one to keep an eye on."
Vega Ashworth - Delsin sighs. Then he sighs some more while massaging his head. He sighs for so long you feel like he might just run out of air and implode... "I swear that boy will be the death of me. He's got such potential, he should have been in the running for S-class years ago, but he's never even got close to meeting the non-combat benchmarks for it. Hopefully that will change this time around, but we'll have to see..."
Jack - "I think Jack's currently scrubbing tables for me right now actually; punishment for another one of his scraps. He's a good kid when he's not trying to beat someone up I guess, but he needs to scale back his antagonistic ways if he's ever going to be taken seriously by the town, rather than treated as a menace who starts fights in the square. I remember one time he owed two jobs worth of money to the guild because he threw someone through nearly every stall in the marketplace. He'll learn eventually though, once he gets tired of the eternal consequences."
Kazue Hattori - "Family first. A lifestyle that, while I'd like to amend by making it more open to the rest of her Guild family, I can't really fault. I have a deep respect for the lengths she's willing to go to in order to ensure that her siblings are provided for, and she might occasionally get a little under the table help getting some more lucrative jobs as a result of that. Outside of that I haven't had the chance to get to know her all that well, since she's always off on one job or another, but she seems like a nice enough individual."
Damian Ivorn - "Really, I don't get his laziness. I'd at least partially understand his laziness if he had to work hard to improve himself, but with his powerful magic apparently coming so easily to him it makes no sense to me why he's not out there making the world a better place and working hard. He could probably make enough money to retire early if he chose the right jobs with his skillset. Still, I'll be pushing him to take part in the S-class exams, if only to prove to himself that he's capable of much more than his current lot in life."
Seto Nakahara - "That young man came to our town in a most bizarre fashion, and has been one of the central focuses of the guild ever since. Equal parts prankster and powerful mage, Seto is quite a character, and one that we've all come to respect and appreciate having around the place. His skills were already very evident when he came to us, so it's no surprise that he's a very swift candidate for the S-Class trials. There is, I must admit, some level of speculation about his origins, but given his attitude and the way he's integrated himself into the guild, I don't feel any need to follow up on them; whatever the truth, it is in the past, and it is by his present actions that Seto will be judged."
Kage (Magus Lilith Astra) - "Very sad story, that one. A little surprised that she chose to join us rather than the Harpies to be honest, not that you'll find me complaining! She's certainly proven herself well suited to the A-rank that she carries; with the jobs she's completed by herself she'd have earned that more than once over here if she wasn't already ranked. Bit of an oddball when she's around though, and doesn't seem to have made many friends, which might hurt her for the upcoming S-Class trials. Guess we'll just have to see how she goes; might need to give her a bit of a push if it comes to it, because she definitely has the capability to take part in the trials."
