@floodtalon I'm drawing a blank on character ideas that haven't been done already. You could say the creative juices aren't flowing so easy for me atm.
Name: 53-AD Title/Epiphet: The 53rd Allegiance/Faction: Machina of Man Race: Assassin Droid Age: 53 years Gender: Droid Height: 7ft Weight: 1 ton Appearance: 53-AD is coated in a grayish metallic color with four skeletal like limbs.
Backstory: 53-AD is the 53rd in a succession of assassin droids charged with eliminating or capturing threats to the Machina of Man. Every droid that was deployed returned after a year of service with all its damage, but memories in tact. Every year it would be rebuilt from the ground up, but with the same experiences of the past becoming more deadly and powerful with each subsequent iteration. Its' technology would be updated each model as well. The 53rd droid in the succession has emerged ready for service in any way required.
Powers: Weapon Proficiency: 53-AD is capable of utilizing any type of weapon the Machina of Man has to offer with excellence due to his many years of logging his experiences in combat and service.
Super-Computing Power: The computing power of 53-AD is comparable to the most powerful supercomputers the Machina has to offer. He has nigh-perfect recollection from recordings. He can also react within nanoseconds of actions around him. Because of this he can move, shoot, and deflect things that would be impossible under normal reaction speeds.
Stealth Drive: 53-AD has an anti-sensory jammer built into his torso. With it he can remain "off the grid" to enemy combatants. This includes most forms of radar, magic and other senses. In addition, he can cloak his visible form to appear like his surroundings for an hour at a time. This drive also silences all noise within about a meter of his body.
Resistances & Immunities: 53-AD is capable of taking powerful blows and magic at great capacities. Regarding lazers and other magic projectiles he can deflect them with his metallic coating. Being a droid, he is immune to poisons and other biological weapons.
Weaknesses: EMPs, demonic magic and corrupting influences can overwhelm his sensors and slow down his computing power significantly. Repeated physical and explosive blows will overwhelm his armor capacity and he will start to take significant structural damage. He is not built for prolonged head to head combat, but ambushes, stealth strikes and quick decisive skirmishes.
Skills: Assassin, tracking and trapping techniques. Extreme reflexes capable of deflecting lazers and other projectiles with his sloped metallic hands back at their targets. As for close quarters, he can deflect attacks off of himself with great speeds and impact enemies with metal crushing force. 53-AD is able to track objects at extreme speeds and distances while firing at them with great accuracy. He can fire off his lazer weapons 1000 rounds per minute, though the weapons are not capable of exerting that amount of heat in that short amount of time. This limits him to about 20 rounds before overheating.
Weapons & Equipment: Disabling paralysis weapons which include his C-10 lazer rifle and his tailor made dual pistols. These are tailor made to immobilize targets singled out for capture. Tweaking the power of them can result in single paralyzing blast of most targets. They can also be switched to a kill mode for executions, though with a greater energy cost. A chemical thrower is attached to his wrist capable of releasing the most powerful of substances the Machina has to offer including; super hot flame, disabling foam, smoke and others. The range on his chemical thrower is 50 ft and can be adjusted for greater focus or a larger cone spread. He also has access to stun, frag, incendiary grenades for a launcher strapped to his back. His sensors include heat, electromagnetic, night and magical scanners that can be cycled through very quickly. his sensors can see for miles around with extreme detail.
Sample Post:
53-AD walked through the metallic hallway but without a sound. Normally the clanking of his footsteps would echo loudly. Not this time though. This time he was purposefully silencing his footsteps with his stealth drive. There wouldn't be any knowledge of his coming. His target was a lone angel spy. Without the backup of his peers however, he was easy prey.
The character was sitting with a large jacket on and hat concealing his identity. Not for long. With lightning reflexes 53-AD fired an electric net off to envelope his quarry. To his surprise the figure turned in time to slice the net in half as each piece flew by him. "Intriguing. Perhaps he won't go down as easy as I perceived." He thought. The figure was looking for the source of the shot, but to no avail. To follow up, 53-AD fired off multiple rounds from his paralysis rifle. The bolts shot forth at great speeds. The first bolt met its' mark hitting the now revealed angel in the left shoulder. His arm went limp as he reflexively covered himself with his wings. When the bolts hit them the wings sagged as well.
With a battlecry the angel brushed passed his now defunct wings to charge at his unseen enemy. "It would be improper to not let him get a look at his own captor, if just for a moment." 53-AD thought. He decloaked in full view of the angel who then turned his attention to him, sword aflame with pure yellow light. It shown so bright that 53-AD's sensors had to adjust in order to see past the brightness. AD-53 fired off his wrist thrower, a dense stream of liquid foam which enveloped the entire area. Even still, the angel attempted to slash past the stuff. 53-AD rushed to the flank of his prey at a safe distance with unnatural speed. Then he fired off another barrage of bolts at the angel. As each one met its mark the angel lost the use of his body until he was finally motionless in a body of solidified foam. With a mechanical arm, 53-AD dragged his quarry to the Machina interrogation room for his benefactors to decide on his fate.
I'd just like to note you may want to elaborate more on the characters arsenal of weapons. Given that they fight entirely through weapons and gadgets as opposed to internal power, saying 'Disablying paralysis weapons' seems too short a description. Your sample post includes a rifle, for example, yet that isn't explicitly said in the CS. It's fine to have a broad arsenal but you need some detail on it or people are going to wonder if he can pull a shotgun out of his ass in the middle of a fight down the line and he has nothing in his CS to back up that action explicitly.
It’s not necessary for most characters, but given your character relies mostly on weapons and his chemical thrower, it would be to your benefit to design the arsenal.
I believe your new character is alright, as far as I can see. I notice the new added weapons and gear so that's good.
If you ever have to take anything else that's not described there into battle, you need to declare it before the battle begins, unless it's really, very common sense equipment. Otherwise, it may not be recognized when you try to bring it up.
Depending on how soon @TheWindel and @floodtalon give their go, you may still be able to join the current able, just like @Lauder.
The new character looks fine to me, but it would definitely be a good idea to elaborate on whatever equipment you bring into every battle. You have your standard loadout and it looks good, but some battles will have you bringing special equipment I'm sure. Not that big of a deal, just mention what you're bringing to us and we'll give you the ok. Simple stuff.
Edit- And yes, KoL did indeed mean the current battle that is happening right now. We're not too far into it right now, so you would be able to join in. In which case you can read up on the details of the battle here: roleplayerguild.com/posts/4599492
