He swapped out his Pokemon and sent out the Type: Null, petting him outside the helmet. "Based on what I know, it was created to be similar to the god Pokemon Arceus, the Alpha Pokemon. Therefore, I shall name you, Omega." Chuck said.

Once the heroes arrived at Malie City, Liam checked in at the Pokémon Center before going to the Kantonian Gym.

Shiranui did likewise, feeling excited at taking on a Pokémon gym again. He had altered his party to a more suitable line-up.

"Well, normally each gym has its own type specialty, though there are exceptions to this rule. Trainers will come to fight the gym leader and if they win, the trainer receives a badge. Getting eight badges allows the trainer to enter the region's tournament. The winner of that tournament gets to face the region's elite Four and Champion." Liam explained. "But of course, no region will accept this badge for its tournament"

Once things were settled at the Foundation, Chuck called upon Azriel to teleport him home so he could be with all his Pokemon, as well as train up to prepare for the Pokemon League, as well as decide who he takes with him. While he was prepping, Cosmo the shiny Lunala went through his bag and found the device that was dropped by Necrozma when it was captured. Necrozma wandered over and the two conversed for a bit before they both touched the device, combining to form a shiny Dawn Wings Necrozma. Chuck turned around as this happened and stared on in shock. "Cosmo, Necrozma, what did you do!?" he said to them, it? Dawn Wings put its hand on Chuck's shoulder to reassure him this is what they both wanted, and handed him the device, which had now turned into the UltraNecrozmium Z, which he equipped onto the new and improved Cosmo.

“Seems similar to the Trials, set for we collected stamps instead of badges.” Jen said as the close to a real badge was a cookie she share with Maui.

"Indeed they are," Shiranui agreed, "But whether any gyms supersede the trials will be a matter for the Tapu to deal with."

Once Liam and his friends were ready they proceeded to the Kantonian Gym. Upon arrival, Liam commented that he had traveled through Kanto, and the building looked more like it belonged to Johto, specifically Eckurteak City than it did Kanto. A group on ninjas attempted to appear out of nowhere around Shiranui, recognizing him as Kanto's Champion.

"It does remind me of home," Shiranui agreed. He got into a battle stance upon seeing the ninjas. "Who are you people?" he asked.

"You're the Kanto Champion!" The first ninja said, all of them with stars in their eyes.
"We would be honored to have you come through our tourist attraction." another one said.

Shiranui relaxed his stance after hearing they were a group of fans. "I would be pleased to challenge your gym," he replied with a smile.

They ushered the group inside. The explained that Ryuki was on the fourth floor and you have to get to him. The first room had a pool of water separating the heroes from the stairs. They explained they had to cross the water. As long as they didn't fly or teleport, anything goes. Liam had a lightbulb moment as he switched his Dragnium Z for his Icenium Z. Slushie leapt down to the floor and Liam did the poses for the Z-move, Subzero Slammer, Slushie froze a huge strip of ice between the heroes and the stairs. He looked at the heroes with a big smile, wishing to be praised. Liam pet Slushie as he picked him up. Great job Slushie!" Liam praised.

Jen sighs as she is surprise fans are so exciting before she, Maui, and Aura into a elevator with her friends. She listens as Maui and Aura thank Slushieand cross the pool on top of the ice. “Thanks Slushie,” Jen said as she cross the ice as she watch for pokemon in the pool. Maui barks as Jen join them near the stairs.

Slushie was happy for the praise and slid across the ice happily. On the next floor, there was a banquet set out. They were instructed to have a seat. Liam took one of the seats and Slushie sat in his lap.

Liam noticed a particular food sitting on the table. One of his extended family, the city's Nurse Joy had told him about it. it was a Goldeen Yōkan, which is a popular dish in town.
With commenting on that, Liam was told that they passed the second test, which was having a respect for what Malie City has to offer, and directed them to the stairs to go upstairs.

Jen hopes the food don’t go to waste or they suppose to eat the food. She glance at herfriends as Maui sticks his out from under the table to glance at the stairs.

Liam got up from the table and thanked them for the food before heading toward the stairs.
