Rockstar also kept pushing it back with his guitar, soon the ball grew a bit too large and would explode in the middle of the arena showering both of them with electrical and psychic damage.

Rockstar took the explosion like a champ, strumming one more note on his guitar before collapsing as Mike returned him thanking him for his service, before spinning a pokeball in his hand and clicking a Z crystal into his armband as well as a mega stone

Chuck recalled Ariel and did the same.

Mike thought about his options before smirking as he said "Alright, Tombstone. I choose you". Mike said as he sent out a Spirttomb.

Shiranui scanned Tombstone with his Pokédex as he had never seen a Spiritomb before. "Spiritomb, the Forbidden Pokémon. Exactly 108 spirits gathered to become this Pokémon. Apparently there are some ill-natured spirits in the mix."

Chuck thought about it for a bit and decided to send out Omega, his Type: Null.

Tombstone watched Type:Null emerged from the pokeball. Not the first one he had seen being that Mike had one too, thought it was fully evoled by now,but well aware of just how powerful it could be. With that, the battle began with Tombstone predicting an attack and prepared a sucker punch.

Omega used Work Up to power itself up, raising it's Attack and Special Attack.

Tombstone saw this and growled slightly before using Calm Mind to power itself up, and then immediately attacked with Toxic aiming to start chipping away at Omega health.

Omega countered with Magic Coat, resisting the Toxic and sending it back to Tombstone, following up with Payback, doubling the attack since he moved after the Spiritomb.

Tombstone quickly vanished into his stone, making the Toxic miss but getting hit by the payback which he resisted thanks to his typing, he immediately struck out at Omega with a toxic before the beast could get out of range or attack.

Omega countered it with Magic Coat again, and then unleashed a Signal Beam at it.

After several back and forths between the two trainers, each bout keeping them evenly matched, it was down to their final two Pokemon, with Chuck letting out Cosmo, the shiny Dawn Wings Necrozma. The two Pokemon continued to trade blows until Chuck decided to end it once and for all, activating his Z Ring, causing Necrozma to fill with Z-Power and shine brightly in it's Ultra form, blinding people with it's bright white glow. It then unleashed it's Z move, Light that Burns the Sky, finishing off Mike's final Pokemon and earning Chuck the championship. Once it was all finally over, Chuck collapsed in exhaustion, recalling Cosmo back to it's ball.

Fireworks went off to signal the end of the events as the audience began to chant Chuck's name. Chuck's picture was on the jumbotron and had the word "Champion" written below it. Prof Kukui walked out to bring a trophy to Chuck

Jen clap as she is happy that Chuck won the battle and is glad Mike and Chuck had a awesome battle. Maui barks as Aura mewl happily.

Shiranui was applauding along with the others, happy that Chuck finally won a Pokémon League and became a regional champion. "Now you're one of us," he mused, thinking about the upcoming journey through Galar, "Saisei and I have some serious training to do for when we come up against you in battle again outside of our field spars."

Chuck got to his feet again and accepted the trophy, as well as registering himself and his team into the Hall of Fame.

By the end, Mike was exhausted. When he had sent out Mei, he had empower her with the aura and gone mega, it could of gone ether way but Chuck pulled though in the end and his Z move had been powerful enough to take down Mei. It had been a while since Mike had gone all out and he could not be happier. He shook Chuck hand and then left the stage as professor Kukui came in. This was Chuck moment and Mike would not take that from him.

He message the group thanking them for quite the journey, and wished them luck in Galar while he helped Looker in Sinnoh to try and bring about the end of Nigel operations. Though Mei, still a bit weak would not leave without saying goodbye to her daughter so Mike healed her, before she went off to find Aura and Jen to hug her daughter once more before she left with Mike.
