D O Y O U B E L I E V E I N M A G I C ? ”I’ll be honest, I kind of do. My father told me about them when I got this place a few years back and I’ve been going on my mother’s advice to the temple once every year, in the Summer to pay my respects and offer up a offering. They guide everything in the village, from food to how many customers I get so it’ll be wise not to anger them.”

S T O R YIt’s been an interesting turn of events for Javier.
Originally from the village, Javier was born in the same inn he runs today, his father owned the inn from his grandfather who passed away roughly 2 years before Javier was ever born. The oldest out of 3 kids that the Mendez clan would have, from the onset of life Javier had a interest in running the Inn.
His mother was a up and rising lawyer, but early on in life he saw her a lot. She would fly out to the airport and take a car ride into the village to meet father and son, for months at a time. But as she became increasingly influential in the law world, her time to spend with her village family became less. She did however prefer that her kids experience the village rather then the city.
As years went by, Javier, his father and his siblings ran the inn. At times it was tough, but they’d managed to pull through. Javier left the village once he turned 18 and went to the city on his father and mother’s advice to pursue a degree in business. City life at first was a culture shock for young Javier but as time went on he acquired some tastes. From cigars, to booze to even reading fine literature and the classics. These like he attributes to his time at university. To this day he still maintains connections with a few friends and city goers.
Once completing university, Javier’s father sought to expand his empire. So he asked Javier if he wanted to stay in the city or the village. At that time, Javier felt like the city was the way to go. Yet at the same time he missed the peace of the village. He missed just being able to do his own thing and be bothered occasionally. So, he packed his bags, and choosing to pick peace over the bustle and the big city life he moved back. His father signed the paperwork and later founded a motel for wealthy businessmen in the city. It’s popular mainly due to it’s excellent room service.
Javier’s siblings later moved to the city to better pursue their goals, they come back from time to visit Javier but other then that he’s on his own for the most part. Enjoying life in the village.
