[The One]

"You've heard of werewolves, vampires, zombies and ghouls? There are tales of ghosts, witches and warlocks. Anime of kitsune, necko and Inumimi. There are myths about dragons, phoenixes and griffins. However, what if I were to tell you that all these creatures really did exist within the human world? Follow me and you'll learn how to live with these legends."

In this Rp, you can be anything. Dragons, phoenixes, human, kitsune, neko. You name it, and you can be it. Hey, you can even be a god damn pony for all I care. (MLP is awesome. Brohoof) But this isn't just your everyday school Rp. Both humans and the mystical wield powerful powers, such as psychic abilities. Powers to control fire, water or air. The power to talk to technology! Again, pretty much anything that isn't God Mode.

Once again, this isn't just your average school Rp with powers. There is a secret within this academy. It has a dark origin. Some may not care, while others may decide to neglect their studies and investigate further into the dark side of the Academy. Many questions have rose, for example, why is it hidden in the sky? That, and many more.

You get to have TWO powers, however it is optional! If you have TWO powers, then it will be harder for you to master both, and will take a lot longer. For those who have one power, they only need to focus their attention on one thing. They will master their power much faster. So basically, One power will be stronger short term while Two will be stronger long term. What do you want to do?

Academy Rules

1 Never, under no circumstances, must you go near the abandoned building! If you are caught outside campus and near the building, you shall be sent off the island immediately without warning!

2 You must be at class on time, if not you will get a warning, three warnings until you are punished, though you shall not be taken off the island. If you continue to miss classes then you will be excluded.

3 Do not use your powers outside of the training room, you may fight and train within the training room as much as you like.

4 No vandalism!

5 What the headmaster says goes at all times!

6 You may leave the campus and explore the island however Be back before midnight and make sure you have a partner with you when you explore.

1 You can go to the Abandoned Building, as I know some of my characters will be heading there at some point. You can also leave and explore the island.

Appearance: Irvine has shoulder length black hair and brown eyes (couldn't find a image match :( ). In order to complement his personal use of his powers he prefers to wear darker colours of blue's, browns and black to help him blend in more naturally with his most comfortable environments. He always wears a belt that has several leather straps which act as a sort of holster / sheath for his weapon the shadow hilt.

Appearance

Personality: Irvine is typically a quiet individual who would rather keep to himself than become involved in group activities or discussion. His lack of interactions with other people or species has him sometimes speak his mind without consideration for consequence or feelings. Both of which compound a shy, almost silent attitude of a person who'd rather speak with action than words. Despite this anti-social shell, Irvine will slowly open up as he develops trust for individuals.

Bio: Irvine's past is just short of being a complete mystery with little known about his early childhood or pre-teen life. He never had any direct family and never knew his parents being abandoned as a newborn. All efforts to track down his origins by either himself or others has always resulted dead ends, leading to the current status of any family he does have being a completely unknown variable. Constantly moved between different foster carers Irvine never developed any meaningful relationships, either through a lack of desire or deliberately preventing its on set.

By the time Irvine had come to realisation of his powers he was fending for himself and constantly moving, although typically remaining within a self-designated radius. Within his time alone Irvine grew comfortable with the general lack of being around others, typically hanging around within the constantly dark alleys of busy towns and cities. People who had claimed to see him on multiple occasions grew accustomed to referring to him as 'Shade' due to how his shadow un-naturally stuck to his body as though it was actually him who was the shadow. However despite this phenomenon Irvine has always considered himself human, his ageing and appearance were both that of a human, allowing him to move around easily in general populace. But he couldn't shake the feeling of a faint calling that maybe, just maybe, he was something more.

Power 1: Darkness Manipulation

Weapon: Shadow Hilt - A hilt for a weapon, which alone or in the wrong hands is completely useless. The hilt serves as a material component, and through the use of his powers Irvine can use it to form basic weapons formed from darkness/shadow energy. Currently he has managed to muster daggers and batons, and when given enough time a short sword. The hilt itself is somewhat dull there's a particular lack of any distinguishing features other than the craftsmanship of the metal that forms it, there's a void within the pommel usually filled with a decorative gem yet on this hilt no such gem is present.

Personality: Leval is fully aware that, compared to the vast majority of beings that reside in this Academy, he is weak. However, that doesn't particularly matter to him. If weakness is all you have, then make that weakness your strength. Cunning and guile are his weapons of choice, he relys almost solely on his wit to survive. That being said, he doesn't go particularly out of his way to stay out of trouble. He has a strong streak of curiosity and an even fiercer protective instinct for others, especially those weaker than himself. He never backs down when there is something to protect and that is when he is at his best. In normal social situations, Leval is friendly and warm, taking care to be mindful of the emotions of others. When working on a task, however, he tends to throw himself to it becoming taciturn and withdrawn.

Power 1: Illusions- Leval is a prodigy in the art of Illusion magic. Tasks that take other magic users massive amounts effort and concentration are almost second nature to Leval, accomplishing them almost as easily as he breathes. All 5 senses are affected by his abilities and his control and detail surpass even the finest eye. While Leval has no skill in other forms of magic, he is already one of finest Illusion specialists alive today with even more potential in the future. Leval tends to call his magic "Weaves."

Power 2: Close Range Teleportation

Likes: Humor, Sweet Food, a sense of discovery, adventure, kindness

Family: Leval's family consists of a mother, father, four grandparents, 12 Aunts and Uncles, and 18 cousins. They were a major magical family in the far past, but now have become a rather small and unknown family. He tends to communicate with them often.

Sentimental Attachment: Cloak made by grandmother bears his family's symbol and has many buttoned pockets on the inside.
Weapon: Extending Hook Staff- Family Treasure, a powerful artifact of their notable past. The bottom of the staff is sharpened to a fine point, while inside of the hook has a blade running along the inside. The staff can extend out to long distances allowing for quick travel, long- range attacks, as well as serving a focus for his magic. He has been well trained in its use.

Chaotic Neutral: A chaotic neutral character follows his whims. He is an individualist first and last. He values his own liberty but doesn't strive to protect others' freedom. He avoids authority, resents restrictions, and challenges traditions.

Appearance:

Human Form

A gaunt but debateably handsome dark haired boy, he may appear sickly to some. His skin is marked in bruises, they welt the flesh along his arms and sides. Sometimes large sores will appear around his neck and face, usually blackened by what appears to be rot. He's very tall, standing in around six foot two but he's almost unhealthily skinny. His hands collect scrapes and scratches seemingly at random, the knuckles are often bruised.

He will usually be found wearing black, adorned with shell necklaces. He seems to like things with stones and beads as well, liking to make a clacking noise wherever he goes.

Kelpie Form

The horse is a bit oversized and corded with muscle, but appears to be very drowned and very dead. It's black in color with discolored spots of rot all over it's large body. It has white, dead eyes and broken, rotting teeth hidden within it's muzzle. It's mane and tail hangs in tangled waves and it reeks of death. It's fur is bristled and matted from water and near it's flank is a large, open, wound that leaks almost constantly.

Personality:

Many would say that Isaiah is very odd, he doesn't seem to understand how to be human. He speaks in a strange way, halting and constantly measuring his words. He talks about water a lot, using it in his comparisons and euphemisms. Things that he likes will usually be compared to water. He lacks affect in his speaking at times and it can be hard to tell if anything excites him or scares him. That strangeness can make it hard to relate to him and ends in him not easily making friends.

Beyond that, he's an individualist by nature. He doesn't like rules and regulations, he will usually push his limits as much as he can. When told to do something, he will almost always do the opposite. He hates being expected to do things and he hates having tasks set out for him. He tends to act recklessly and rush into things without thinking it through, this leads to him getting into trouble a lot.

When he's comfortable around a person, he becomes very invested in conversing with them. He'll tell them everything and make sarcastic jokes. He can come off a bit pushy with friends though, trying to direct them into his recklessness and he has little to no empathy for their problems. He won't go out of his way to help them while fully expecting them to help him. He can also come off as mean, pointing out their flaws at times, though he doesn't seem to understand that he's being hurtful.

Bio:

Born to the Unseelie court of the Fae, he lived like any other Kelpie would have. His life was spent in the depths of black water deep within a forest in Ireland, drowning wicked humans for fun and warning young children away from the water. As he grew up, he grew more and more curious about the world outside his lake. He found himself growing interested in the humans who wandered close to the edge and that was the first time that he ever changed his form.

The young lady on the other side had red hair and blue eyes, she was very startled when a thirteen year old boy surfaced from the water. So startled, in fact, that she stumbled and toppled into the depths. He was fumbly in his new form, his new fingers were numb with the cold and his limbs were awkward and hard to use. He scooped his arms beneath hers and waded her thrashing form back to the top, he helped guide her back onto the shore and she tried frantically to ask him where he'd come from.

The thirteen year old boy had not ever spoken in his human voice before and he tried his best to respond that he was the spirit of the water. She was scared, cold and dripping, she spoke with him though. It was the first contact that he'd ever had with a human, they talked for hours. He didn't have all of the right words and sometimes he had to use his gestures and noises to describe what he meant but she mostly understood. When she finally had to go, she made a promise to return at his insistence.

She showed up at first, visiting every day but it wasn't long before she stopped. His only connection to a world outside of the water was broken entirely and he was left wondering. That growing wonder and that growing need to know more about the world is why he sought out the academy.

Power 1:

Shape-shifting: This is an ability inherent of all Kelpies, giving them the freedom to be whatever form suits them most.

Power 2:

Water manipulation: Much harder to learn, it's the ability to manipulate the water in whatever way is necessary.

Likes:

Water, tricks, surprising people, doing as he pleases, drowning things.

Dislikes:

Heat, moral dilemmas, following directions, boring people.

- He needs to have open access to large bodies of water, he can be on land during periods of time but he has to be able to return to the water for a few hours every day or his human body will suffer damage.

- Isaiah Blackwater is not his real name, obviously. He was born only under a much longer name that he will refuse to disclose. In Fae lore, when someone knows your full name, they have the ability to control you completely and he'd rather avoid that.

- He does not have the ability to lie.

Bio: Ruby was an angel. She was a typical teen- mischievous and stroppy at times, but generally loving, kind and polite. She had never been in love before, not even in her human life, until she met another angel called Liam. Liam was charming and affectionate, and made Ruby feel safe and happy. She had been going through a hard time adjusting to her new life as an angel without her family, and Liam helped her through it. However, the higher powers had strict rules that falling in love was forbidden- but Ruby was head over heals in love, and she couldn't bring herself not to feel these feelings. Liam and Ruby found themselves alone together and could not help themselves. They kissed passionately- and it was like a dream, something they had both desired for so long.
The higher powers found out about this and were infuriated. They kept Liam in the heavens to be punished and banished Ruby to Earth. They intended to strip her of her powers, and many of her powers went, however she still had one left. It needed to be worked on but she was not powerless.
Ruby is kind at heart and helpful to others. However, she is hesitant to open up and is still getting over Liam, so will need a lot of encouragement to break through this and fall in love again.

Power 1: She can pause things by touching them. 'Freeze' a person in their spot by holding their hand, pause the movement of water or fire by touching it etc.
