Deep beneath the division 12's building chaos danced like a madman, in the rain, during a thunder storm, while death mettle played in the background. Lightning cackled like a mad scientist who was certain his creation was about to rise from the table. Various screens and dials jumped from one scene or number, without any apparent rhyme or reason. Shadows flashed along the strange, myriad of machines that filled vast space that went by the simple of name of Mayuri's lab.

"Hmmm." The man of what he considered to be his home, nodded. He was dressed in his usual fashion, which many would consider to be unusual, slouched over a screen, grinning from ear to ear. Something strange was going on, and he couldn't wait to prod it, and see if injecting it with his own creations would yield some interesting results. "Mmmhmmm. Yes. Yes." He ignored the footsteps which echoed towards him.

"Master Mayuri" a young woman with purple hair said, meekly, as she forced herself to slow down before reaching him. "You have a guest!"

"Bah." The captain of the twelfth division mutterer. He made a slashing motion with his hands that was meant to let her know he didn't want to be disturbed.

"But master Mayuri!" The woman in purple said.

"I'm busy." The captain snapped, using a tone that made it clear he wasn't interested in discussing the matter further. "Get rid of whoever it is. I'm very busy at the moment, and don't have any interest in anything but what's right in front of me on this screen."

"Ah! Busy as always, I see." Said a tall, light skinned man, with high cheek bones, and a eye patch over his right eye. "You know a break wouldn't kill you." Shunsui sighed as he stepped up to look at whatever it was his fellow captain was looking over. It was all Greek to him.

"Breaks are far too tiresome." Mayuri muttered in a rush of excitement. His hands fiddled with some dials near the edge of the table, and the images on the screen switched to numbers, a lot of numbers, all moving in such a way that only a fool or mad genius would bother trying to keep up with them. "All they do is wet my appetite for my next great work!"

"Speaking of which?" The man with the pink kimono said as he leaned up against a machine that, against all expectations, wasn't humming at the moment. "Will you be joining us for today's festivities?"

"Hmmm?" Mayuri mumbled. "festivities? I have no time for such trifling matters. Can't see you see I'm the precipice of something grand? What matter are a few streamers and whistles compared to what I'm about to embark on? Hmmm?"

Shunsui shrugged. "If you say so. I just figured you'd like to give a speech and show off how your Prodigy Genesis program was coming along?"

"Ahhhhh!" The young woman in the purple dress gasped. "Master Mayuri, that's today. The graduation ceremony is today!" It was tempting to bounce with excitement to see what became of their big project, but she'd learn some time ago it wasn't best to be so loud and energetic when her master was close by.

"Oh." The man's in the black and white face paint smiled. His teeth weren't white, but they weren't black and falling out either. There was a bet, among the more courageous members of the twelfth division that the man's teeth weren't actually his teeth at all, but some he made, and probably put in himself. However, there were no members brave enough to ask. Which wasn't due to fear the man would be insulted by their questions, but more the fear that the captain would suddenly remember they existed and figure that they'd be good enough for whatever sadistic experiment he was currently building up in the dark recesses of his mind. "That's today, isn't it?" The man stood up strange and tapped his finger, that ended in a long, long purple nail, against his chin. "Well, it's not for a few more hours. There's plenty I can get check of my to do list before going."

"Mayuri." The captain commander laughed. "That is a surprise. It's not like you to lose track of date like that."

"Humph." Mayuri snapped, turning on the man. "Nothing of the sort has happened." Without a word, the man reached into his pocket and pulled out a small, circular object with a screen and several buttons. "Look." He pushed a button and the screen lit up like a child who learned he wasn't going to be kicked out of the house at 2AM so his parents could have some alone time. There was a moment of static before an image came to focus.

On said image there was a young woman with blue hair, and the customary outfit of the shinigami. "I've got them all under tabs." The woman was sitting at the counter of a small, but popular bar and grill, poking at her food. Her eyes moved from one person to another, trying to figure out who could be pushed to do something interesting.

Shunsui nodded. "Kokatsu Ririsu, an interesting one that. She's going to be a bit of trouble some day. Sort of like a certain mad scientist I know, if only she could manage to get herself to focus on something long enough to be productive." The man grinned. "But that's just luck. I'm sure you couldn't have kept an eye on all of them that closely."

"You underestimate me." Mayuri's grin moved from ear to ear. "I've got them all covered. Here just watch..."....

Savris' morning started just as any other morning, late. He slowly peered around his room, shaking off the haziness from his hangover. His room was surprisingly clean and organized. The books on the table next to him nice and orderly, his uniform hung on the back of the door, ready to be worn. On the floor, clothes were scattered leading up to the bed. These weren't his clothes, however. NO. These were a woman's clothes. Savaris slowly turned his head to the other side of the bed where a blonde woman was silently sleeping. He chuckled softly to himself. Savaris hated blondes. The fact he brought one home meant that he himself was pretty wasted. He crept out of the bed moving to towards the door. Grabbing his clothes from the back of the door, he easily snuck out of the room undetected. "Looks like I'm getting dressed here." He walked down to the main kitchen of the Shihoin manner after getting dressed. No relatives insight as always, of course, the maids and butlers were constantly moving through the mansion. "Things just don't change."

A passing butler caught his eye. His servant, who acted more like a caretaker, Hideyoshi approached. He is an elderly man with white combed back hair to match his age. His face was clean of any hair and his suit was pristine as possible. "Goodmorning Young Master. I see you're up surprisingly early this morning. Could it be because of our guest sleeping in your room?" "Yo Hide. Could you take care of that for me? I'm heading off to class." Savaris turned and started heading for the door. "You mean graduation?" Savaris let out a slight shriek. Savaris had totally forgotten the whole reason he went out the night before. It was a celebration. Everything in his mind began to make sense. The drunkenness, the outfit on the door, the blonde. He took off full sprint, grabbing a whole loaf of bread as he took off. He burst through the front door of the manner shoving a bite of the bread in his mouth. He nearly knocks over a maid as he launches himself into the air taking another bite of the bread. "Oh man oh man oh man. I'm gonna be late." He thought to himself as he landed on a nearby rooftop.

It wasn't every day that you saw someone leaping from rooftop to rooftop but around this neighborhood it was normal. The Shihoin clan was known for being a bit.....eccentric at times. The young Savaris was no different. Most people in his class were pretty good at using Hoho techniques, savaris was average at the basics. For him, he had to focus and this morning he was too much off his game. He leaped down from the buildings and dashed through the entrance leaving a trail of dust and breadcrumbs as he shoved another bite of the loaf down his throat. He hid the rest in his robe for later consumption and made his way to the auditorium where the graduation would be taking place. He was late but not to the point where it would make a big difference.

The space around Saishu sped by into lines as he flashed stepped away from his retainer. The retired soul reaper slashed down where he once was, his trident-shaped zanpakuto scraping the earth. Saishu found the spot he had chosen a bit pretentious but it let him show, what Mr. Muten refused to hear. That he had grown beyond his lessons. That he was a notch above even a veteran soul reaper who had been a fourth seat in Squad Seven. Appearing on Mr. Muten's roof, Saishu turned to him with a kindhearted grin before half-bowing to the man.

Muten Kudo, retired soul reaper of Squad Seven, released his zanpakuto and simply stared at the youth who was his charge. There was a great sense of pride swelling in him, so much that it overshadowed the embarrassment of being so easily toyed with. He exhaled a life-full of worries until all that was left was the urge to let, Saishu fly. His aged hand rubbed his caramel dome. His baritone boasted a saint's authority. "You've made your point I suppose. I get it now. With your graduation so close you've decided to stop playing around. Since when did you become so proficient and agile with your flash steps?"

Saishu fell to his bottom and swung his legs over the roof. "Sheesh, that was so long ago now, Mr. Muten. I can't really recall."

Muten sheathed his zanpakuto at his hip then joined him on the roof. "Then for what reason did you hold back against me, My boy? Can you answer that?"

"I enjoyed your lessons, Mr. Muten," he said bluntly. "It wasn't until recently that I noticed I needed to make it clear. The difference between your generation and mines. Graduation is coming up and a certain name has been circling for our class ... Did you know they were calling us the Generation of Geniuses." Saishu held Chonan in his hand, its sealed blade reflecting his confident gaze. "I take pride in that title, even if its a collective one."

From behind him, Muten touched his shredded sleeve and thought on his other duties. The secrets he held from Saishu. "You are a prodigy, Saishu. Like so many of your classmates your title is deserved; I would even say Captain Hitsugaya was born a bit early in that respect." Muten's aged voice chuckled just a tad. "Just don't let the pressure get to you. You'll learn that being a genius comes with a certain burden, My boy."

A gentle spring breeze that still has a bit of winter chill rustles across the ground of a small village in the rukongai. Just outside the rest of the village there is a tiny hut made in the traditional Japanese style. The floor is made from tatami mats and the walls of thin wood and a thatch roof. A small stream runs by it and the smolders of a fire being lit underneath an empty pot have long since gone out.

Inside the hut a young girl with white hair and yellow eyes is folding her bedding for the last time. Glancing around she sees that the place is spotless. The pot has been washed and the ashes cleared away. Her old clothes and her bedding lay in the corer folded neatly and she now wears her new shuhakusho shinigami uniform. At her side is her zanpakuto. In its sealed state it looks like a black shirasaya katana. She wears it just behind her hip so it rests comfortably behind her on her left side.

Stepping out of the home she puts on her sandals and gently closes the door one last time. Placing both hands she bows slightly and for a moment she offers a small prayer. Memories of the last few decades fly through her mind. The graduation ceremony is today and that means she will no longer live out here in the rukongai. A bittersweet sensation wells in her chest but none of it makes it to her face as comes out of her bow. She takes a final look over at the village. She does not have pleasant memories of this place but it was her home none the less for most of her life. One of the village elders who was up early sees her and their eyes meet for just a moment. She wished they hadn't and the elder quickly looked away before hobbling back inside his home.

"Things...don't change here." She says quietly to herself. Turning to look at the giant walls surrounding the seireitei she shunpo's away without looking back. She has a ways to go and she doesn't want to be late.

Takuya sat in his dorm room alone, cleaning his Asauchi as he watched a pair of bird chase each other outside his window. An MP3 playing a low fi jazz song he had found online, not remembering the name or the artist but only that it helps him relax.

“Takuya.” A voice at the door calls for him. It was Midoriya, an underclassman to him that was his roommate for the better half of his stay at the academy. “You graduation ceremony is soon. Shouldn't you be going?”

Takuya continued to clean, the room feeling quiet despite the music still playing. “It will be fine.” He responded quietly. “I have time, no need to rush.” He says as he cleans the last corner of his blade, the weapon reflecting the morning sun. “Midoriya, it was nice dorms no with you, I hope we work together in the future.” He says as he sheathed his sword, putting the blade on his hip. “Good luck with your remaining time here.” He says as he turns around with a smile. “Stay smart kid.” He said as he passed the younger boy, flash stepping away before the other could respond.
As Takuya flash stepped along to where the graduation ceremony took place he took in his surroundings. Classes he'd never see again, classmates he will end up in other squads than. He wondered which squad he'd be in. Maybe he’d join squad 4 considering he was proficient in Kaido. … no that didn't feel right. He was here to find .. well he didn't know what he was looking for but he wanted to find SOMETHING. And squad 4 is the squad that can't leave the soul society.

11th doesn't sit right with him. Battles are!’t suppose to be fun, and death should be the only reason to stop fighting.

As he continued to list off his opinions of the squads, he arrived at the location of the ceremony. He stood at a bench near the entrance, waiting for the last second to enter so he could be at the back of the crowd, where he felt most comfortable.

Bakuto Hokori

Graduation..."Oh Graduation!" Snapping awake quickly is a young dark-haired soul reaper academy student Bakuto Hokori. He looks around confused around by his surroundings not remembering where he fell asleep the day before. Slowly Bakuto comes to the realization he is where he is supposed to be. Bakuto had fallen asleep where the graduation ceremony is supposed to begin.

Knocking over a few bottles of saké as he moved around and Bakuto's instant thoughts, 'Oh what did I do last night...Oh right a graduation party. At least I remembered to get to where I am supposed to be....'

He stretches a bit popping his back then his neck once he is done a smile goes across his face because he knows today is the day he graduates from the academy and becomes a full soul reaper of the thirteen court guard squads. Bakuto is wondering where will he be placed, the only squad he didn't want to go was squad four. The rumored squad where weaklings who can't fight go, and Bakuto doesn't want to be considered weak. Squad Eleven is the ideal squad for Bakuto. The squad that loves to fight and kill things is his kind of squad. Although Bakuto would be happy in any squad that isnt squad four. "Well at least I am not late for once.", Bakuto says to himself. As he has a tendency to be late where ever he goes this being a rare occasion where he was on time. Even if he fell asleep the night before after a long night of drinking where he is now.

Bakuto starts picking up the bottles of saké, shaking each one until he finds one that is still full and puts it into his shihakusho, but not before taking a small swig of it. He then starts to look around to see who has arrived yet and who is still arriving. Bakuto wasnt entirely sure who were all graduating today. He wonders who will be going to the same squad as he will be put in, although it doesnt matter he will find out soon enough who will be going where and who will be his squad mates.

Risiru sighed at her meat. It didn't sigh back. That was a shame, but there wasn't anything she could do about it at the moment. Perhaps someday she'd be able to change everything on a whim, but for the moment she was stuck in her own body, with flesh serving as walls which kept any and all potential limited to what the body could perform. She sighed again and checked the time. The ceremony was just about to begin.
"Might as well get going, I guess." She pushed a few strands of blue hair out of her eyes and looked around one last time at the various faces surrounding her. She knew them by name, and apparently they knew her. Each was watching her out of their corners of their eyes. Not in a hostile way, just wary. Her tendency of selecting fun had gotten the best of her in the past, and now, like a farmer who had used up the soil, this field wouldn't be giving very much fruit any time soon.
"Okay. Okay." She made a dismissive gesture with her right hand. "Everyone can calm down. I'll be going now. No need to get your underwear in a knot." Slowly sliding the rest of her plate across the counter so it could fall into a trash can on the other side, she smiled. If this field was barren that was fine because many more would soon open up to her.
"Well then." She straightened up quickly and everyone nearly jumped out of their seats. "I'll be off to the graduation ceremony then." She paid her tab and headed outside, and flash stepped towards the Shino academy.

****
"Now then." Captain Mayuri muttered, deactivating the screen, showing the images of his latest achievements' success, and putting the device back into his coat pocket. "That's enough of that." His attention turned away from the captain commander back to the screen, where his eyes seemed to all but phase into the work at hand. "I've plenty of work to do before heading off to the ceremony."

"What is it exactly, you're working on Mayuri?" Shunsui asked, crossing his arms over his chest and moving to get a better view of the screen.

Mayuri laughed. "A new breed of monsters, maybe, or possibly a new form of gigai. Whose to say? There's still quiet a bit more research I'll have to do on the phenomenon before I can say for sure. You'll just have to sit there and wait for my research paper to come out" The man's uncertainty in the matter didn't do anything to damper his spirits. In fact they excited him like no other companion ever could. For some, limit's were an insult to personal ability, but to the captain they were nothing but resistance to increase the mind's muscles, and he relished in the stress.
***
Risiru wasn't amongst the earliest of the arrivals to witness the event, but she was far from being the last. Even after landing, Soon to be Shinigamis kept appearing near the entrance. Most of them were well combed and looked like they were about to take part in some sort of job interview instead of being given a piece of paper they already knew they earned. It would've been cute if it wasn't so sad.

Sighing, she turned her attention towards the door and would've headed in, along with the rest of the crowd, but something caught her eye. It was another shinigami hopeful, Bakuto, she believed. She had him for a few classes through the last two years. He was busy, scrounging around through some empty bottles until he found one he liked, and drank some.

Risiru smiled. Hands behind her back she quickly moved closer towards the young(as far as Shinigami's were concerned) man for a better look. He had potential. His eyes were slightly bloodshot and there was a certain, how was it said, 'pain behind the eyes'. She assumed he had been drinking the night before. Unless memory failed her, and she doubted that was the case, he was something of a lush. She'd bet dollars to doughnuts he took a swig to help with the hangover.

"You know." She said, patting the man on the back. "I've always found that a bit of the hair of the dog that bit you doesn't really work. You need at least half a body to really drawn those demons, you know?" Smiling, she patted the man on the back and pointed at the procession of students moving into the academy.

"Trust, me, even if you didn't spend the night drinking, I say treat yourself. These ceremonies are always a bore." She patted him a third time, a bit harder, before hurrying to get in line behind another one of her classmates, whose name she was sure started with a T'. She had a good feeling about him and made sure to accidentally 'bumped' her elbow into.

"Sorry about that!" Ursiru replied happily. "Not used to so much excitement." As she moved she kept her head on the man with the bottle, hoping he'd do something that would keep things interesting.

****
"Master Mayuri" The childish young woman with the purple hair said, as far away from a whine as she could manage, which wasn't much distance. "We're going to miss the ceremony."

"Ahh." The captain sighed. "Yes. Yes. I suppose we are. Deary me, how did you end up so easily excited?" The man shook his head before his creation could respond and pushed a button which put the table he was looking at into stand by mode. "WEll then." He said without bothering to look at his current companions. "Shall we go?"

"Let's" Shunsui said with a half bow and smile.

"Yes!" Nemu said with a single soft clap.
****
After the tunnel, Resiru and the others found themselves stepping into a large, auditorian with an opening for the sun light to come pouring in. There was a large platform at the center where the actual ceremony would take place. Before it were dozens of rows of seats for the soon to be shinigami to be seated. Around it were large bleachers that were almost as quickly being filled up with the graduation ceremony's audience.

Momoiro

Early that morning just before sunrise Momoiro lay in her bed. Her face is troubled and she groans slightly. A nightmare seems to haunt her dreams and her zanpakuto lay next to her in the bed. With a sudden jolt she jerks awake and grabs her zanpakuto. She stands immediately into a battojutsu stance and a bead of sweat trickles down her chin. Slightly confused she looks around and realizes that it was just a dream. Feeling foolish she sets her zanpakuto down and steps off her bed. The rising sun's rays start to pour gently into her dorm room.

"I hope this isn't a bad omen..." She says slowly. Shaking her head she starts to get ready for the day with rapid speed. Speed was one of the few things she was confident in and so she was done in a flash. "Lets see.... shuhakusho check, zanpakuto check, earnings check, sash check." She looks around for a moment longer in the mostly empty room as if she was looking for something else.

"Where is it?" She drops down on the floor and looks under the desk to see a small orb like object with a jewel in the center. "There you are ya lil' dickens" She grabs it in her hand and when she does it glows slightly and then fades. She ties it up to her sash. Bolting out the gate she nearly runs head first into other students getting up and ready for the day.

Soon as she gets outside she shunpo's directly to the ceremony grounds and isn't surprised to see she is the first one there. She wasn't the first in her class in everything of course but she always prided herself for getting there before anyone else. Its not like she had means or reasons to dilly dally with her time. No most of the last four years was spent in constant practice. She isn't even sure if she has spoken to many of the other students. Iwakuni-san is the only one that has ever really spent time with her outside of class and she isn't even what you might call a friend. She has at least talked with many other members of her class a few times but she didn't slow down enough to really get to know any of them. Perhaps after she gets into one of the ghotei 13 squads things will calm down enough for her to make friends.

Sitting down in one of the chairs in the front row she takes note of who all have come in. She recognizes all of her classmates and gives them a small nod of respect as they enter.

As Savaris made his way to the entrance of the tunnel he would spot a few of his old classmates and one old friend, Takuya. He would smile and wave before shouting "Yo!! Takuya-senpai!!" Savaris rushed over to him noticing 2 other upperclassmen nearby, Resiru and Bakuto. Savaris watched as they walked ahead with narrow eyes before turning his attention back to Takuya. "Yo. Long time no see. If I recall correctly last time I saw you was.....2nd Year Kido studies?" It seemed that the last of the arrivals had made it and the group had already proceeded into the tunnel. Savaris accompanied Takuya at the back of the group walking through the tunnel admiring nothing about such a boring journey.

"Well, I'm glad to see that you are here at graduation also. Any idea what squad you wanna go to?" Savaris inquired genuinely interested in what he had to see. He looked around and noticed that the tunnel was soon to come to an end opening up to a much larger area at the end. "You know I'm a family man so, I'm pretty much guaranteed that spot in squad 2." Savaris would reply with an enthusiastic smile. Savaris preferred to fight with his hands and would love to refrain from fighting hollows for a living. Thusly, squad 2 made more sense to him. "I can sneak around all ninja like..." He said as he lifted up his shirt above his news to portray a ninja mask. He then began to crouch moving quickly however his footsteps were for the most part silent. "Kickin ass and taking names. WAAA!" He finished by throwing a kick in the air. Just in time too, because they had reached the end of their journey.

The tunnel led out to an auditorium where seats had been prepared for the graduates and bleachers for the audience. It was a magnificent view. Savaris fixed his clothes and looked around for where would be the perfect seat. It was then that he had made eye contact with another student he considered to be upperclassmen, Momoiro. She had arrived early before Savaris and was nodding towards them as they entered. "Oi. Lets go sit over there." Savaris would say, tapping Takuya on the shoulder and pointing over towards Momoiro. Savaris made his way over to her, recognizing her from previous classes. "Yo Momo-chan. My names Savaris. We had Hoho classes together. Mind if we sit next to you? Savaris would say in a suave voice. He would cast a glare at the 2 classmates sitting next to her. Savaris had a mean reputation for getting what he wanted. Whether by means of his family or his own fists, he always got what he wants. The 2 students stood moving elsewhere and Savaris sat. "Glad to see your here graduating too."

Takuya chuckled as Savaris @Champion approached him. Even when he tries to hide in the back of a crowd Sarvaris could always spot him. “Savaris, good to see you. Although you seem to forget we both had a joint sparing class later on.” He said as he continued to listen to Savaris as he mentioned squads and which squads they'd potentially be in. “Squad 2 does seem to fit you in a way. I remember you snuck up on me a couple times back in our second year. As for me, the smart choice would be to go to the 4th squad because of my proficiency in Kaido but I also don't like the idea of just sitting around not fighting. Honestly I'm kinda stuck on deciding which I want to apply for.” Takuya finished as he looked around.

Watching the seats fill up and wondering where he himself should sit when suddenly Savaris tapped him on the shoulder, pointing to where a white hair girl sat in the front row and suggesting they sit with her. Before Takuya could reject, Savaris had already left to go to the lone girl. “I make an effort to stand in the back of the crowd and yet you lead me to the front row? This is Kido class all over again.” Takuya said under his breath, smiling at his friend as he followed.

Takuya watched as the two people formerly sitting next to the girl quickly left after his glare. “Oi, no need to be so aggressive Sav.” He said as he sat next to the girl. “I believe this is our first time meeting, my names Takuya Kyokuho. It's nice to meet you.” He said with a small nod towards Momoiro. @Yorutenchi

Saishu arrived at the graduation with a odd mixture in his gut. He longed for a past no longer his; a familiarity that he had grown use too, where that soul reaper had grabbed him from the Rukongai, where Mr. Muten had accepted him and trained him vigorously to hone that potential everyone saw.

Unlike everyone else who found their seats amidst the spacious area, Saishu was content just observing until he noticed an odd assortment of white uniforms. Compared to the rally of black, they were in stark contrast and obviously of importance. Captains? why would they be here. He stood up on the ledge, a black speck against its massive foundation. Curious, this is especially curious.

Bound by some feeling of being seen differently, Saishu jumped down into the innumerable crowd. Students that recognized him greeted him jovially, others shook his hands, and proctors that guarded the doors held him for minutes while they reminisced. The proctors especially continued to bring up the Generation of Geniuses. He was beginning to believe they were the ones to start that moniker.

Saishu pulled at the red tail of his hair, it laid on his shoulder, and spoke of fiery emotions. He found a seat near the front, placed his arms on his lap, and leaned back to gaze up at the clear skies.

Bakuto Hokori

Bakuto hears someone say ,'You know' then someone patted him on the back and continued talking saying, 'I've always found that a bit of the hair of the dog that bit you doesn't really work. You need at least half a body to really drawn those demons, you know?' Bakuto to see who was talking to him, it was Risiru but at the moment Bakuto couldn't remember who she was, couldn't place her face and voice with a name. Bakuto then commented on the her second comment, "You might be right, but I don't think a half a body could make those demons flinch let alone comely rid someone of them."

He then heard the comment about the ceremonies being a bore he then says adding in his own comment "Could be worse, we could be sitting through another lecture within the academy still and not graduating today. I'll take a boring ceremony over a lecture any day of the week. Bakuto diskliked lectures he is a hands on kind of person and doesnt like being told how to do something he rather just learn as he goes.

Not too long until he entered the auditorium the moment he sees where he is suppose to be sitting. Bakuto uses the flash step to the nearest chair almost practically diving his way onto the chair butt first into the seat. He didnt want to be left standing and he wasnt trusting that their would be enough seats to go around to everyone. Bakuto then began to look around to see who were around and which captains were present.

Iwakuni Shiroko

With her white hair only half pulled back into a pony tail and the rest of it simply laying as it may she half jogs through the crowd trying to make it on time. Bumping into people she stops to bow and apologize under her breath and rinse and repeat till she gets to her destination. Arriving with a bit of anxiety but mostly excitement she takes a gulp and enters the area where all of the seats are located. Knowing that she will start living full time in the Seireitei elated her but the thought of actually getting to join the Ghotei 13 even more so.

Fumbling through the crowd she spots several classmates at the front row. Internal conflict insures. She would much prefer to sit at the back or maybe somewhere in the middle rather than at the front but she also would like to sit with people she knows. After a moments hesitation she decides she will sit with her classmates. Besides she needs to get over this aversion to others sooner rather than later. Yeah and this is her graduation isn't it? You are gonna go over there, sit down and congratulate them on graduating!

With newfound confidence she walks up to the front row with the intent to sit in the front row only to see @Champion give a bone-chilling glare to some people already sitting there. They get up and move and Shiroko chickens out and decides last minute to slither into the second row and sit directly behind @Yorutenchi. She also see's @Crimson Lion and hears his protest to Savaris's heavy handed glare. All three were amazing students she had classes with.

Savaris was in her hand to hand combat class. That wasn't super fun. He was easily the best. She herself was rather good at jujitsu and managed to pin him a small handful of times. However she wasn't completely sure if that was because he let her or not. The majority of time he knocked her down or out immediately. He seemed to be from some big important family and a lot of people fell in line with whatever it was that he wanted. He had never been mean to her so she didn't think he was a bad person but he still intimidated her. His reiatsu felt like gunpowder. It was aggressive, powerful and always seem to be in control.

Takuya shared a class with her in the kidou program. Why she was in the same class as him is still a mystery to her. Kaido is her absolute weakest skill. Even her zanjutsu is better than her kaido. She was the worst in the class and he was by far the best. He even offered to help her with it but his pointers didn't really do her any good. He too was kind but a little hard to talk to. She didn't know that he was friends with Savaris. His Reiatsu had a frosty twinge to it. It was cold, distant and felt a little lonely. His aura seemed to be held within himself mostly. It didn't leak much compared to how much she was sure he had.

Then there was Momoiro. They were all in advance courses but she perhaps was a step above in terms of being a prodigy. She joined 2 years after Shiroko but yet they were graduating at the same time. She had a few classes with her briefly but since she was skipping years she moved around some. She had a few kidou courses with her and she was lucky enough to see her zanjutsu. She kept calling it kenjutsu but she was pretty sure that was a human martial art. Momoiro was a little perplexing in that regard. Shiroko herself was weak physically and could never match Momoiro's speed. Being honest with herself Shiroko knew she was a little awestruck by Momoiro. Not just her skill but her blazing reiatsu was different than most others. It radiated off of her. She doesn't know if its because of her innate confidence or perhaps her confidence and headstrong nature was because of her reiatsu.

Shiroko was a little sad that the graduating members here were all people that didn't have classes with her in bakudo. Her second best skill was hado and she shared that class with Savaris who was a step above her in that regard as well. With this though her thoughts began to swim with what company she will go with. She didn't fit in with 4th obviously because of her horrible healing. The 2nd squad was more for stealth fighters and she didn't exactly fit the bill there either. 11th would be equally unlikely as a choice. Crossing her arms she makes a frustrated expression while looking up at the ceiling/sky.

Kariya woke up early in the morning, while he would have been training at this hour he was coerced into going to a graduation party by one of his underclassmen. He had gained some admirers for his ability at Hakuda, who asked to spar and train with him whenever he had some free time. He remembered being asked the usual question of what squad he wanted to be assigned to. Unlike most of his classmates, he wasn't really worried about what squad he would be assigned. While he wants to join the ninth squad to be in charge of the security of the Seireitei, using his abilities for the protection of Soul Society would be fine for him. Looking around he carefully sneaked around the room to grab his Zanpakuto, said a quiet goodbye to those that were already starting to wake up and went to the ceremony.

Since he had a bit of time, Kariya decided to not to use Hoho and instead walk. On the way there, Kariya began thinking of his time at the academy. Time had gone quick from the time he applied to enter the academy and today, he had trained hard to be able to get good grades in most subjects, even if his Zanpakuto's personality made him unable to practice with his shikai like everyone else. If he had any regrets it would be to learn more kido, since it could come in handy. Arriving at the location he found that people had already begun arriving, but seeing that there will be quite a while before the ceremony started, he decided to rest on a bench. He was never a fan of waiting, but there was little he could do.

Waking up as people had begun to arrive, he stood up from the bench and started looking for any familiar faces to sit with. Kariya saw Bakuto, not too far away from himself and decided to talk to him. While they weren't in many classes together Kariya really liked his competitive nature and he was one of the few people that could keep up with him when using Hakuda. Using Hoho "Yo! Ready for one last lecture before real work begins?" he closed the gap within then and greeted him

Momoiro

Momoiro keeps her posture pristine as she greets those around her. Two of the others in the graduating sit next to her. They greet her by name but she doesn't actually remember their names. She is pretty sure she saw these NPC like characters at some point in the blur of the last four years but she couldn't place them. She simply smiles softly and goes along with the aimless small talk. It didn't last long because @Champion and @Crimson Lion walk up soon after and Savaris gives them a cold stare. The stare felt like it was ...bloodlust? No not quite. Either way the two boys make some weak excuse and nervously leave. Momoiro meets his gaze with her own. She glances at the now empty chairs.

"Seems to me that they are open." Momo-chan? She motions with her hand to the seats next to her. She remembered Savaris. He was skilled. She wasn't sure if he was necessarily talented but his abilities spoke for themselves. He seem to have come from a powerful family. He was a little egotistical and rowdy. She knew his kind well during her time when she was alive. Her sense of justice tingled just a bit and considered returning Savaris's boldness but in secret she was a bit relived that those two left.

Takuya interrupts her thoughts with an introduction. She had been wondering who he was. He seemed polite at the very least.

"Pleasure to meet you Takuya. My name is Momoiro." She does a small bow while staying seated. She has seen Takuya around but she admits she doesn't know much about him. Having never met him formally nor hearing any rumors. Looking at him through she can tell at a glance that he isn't someone that she should forget. She couldn't put her finger on why yet.

She also notices the quiet yellow-eyed girl sitting behind her. She could have sworn that she was headed for the first row. She hoped Savaris didn't frighten her. Momoiro has talked with this girl only a few times in the past. Iwakuni was her name she thought. Iwakuni Shiroko didn't spend a lot of time with others and seemed shy.

"And..." She turns back to Savaris. ".. I was part of your hand to hand combat class. That was almost 4 years ago now. I remember you beat everyone in sparing matches except for Iwakuni-san. She pinned you spectacularly much to your surprise. Did you ever pay her back for that?" Leaning back she looks Shiroko in the eye and gives her a smile. She wanted to test the waters and see how either of them did with a little teasing. She doesn't know Tatsuya well enough to tease yet.

The day's light was harsh like a slap to the face after being caught with another woman. Mayuri narrowed his eyes at the day before him. Despite the fact his lab was well lit, at least as far as the areas he worked in, he still had a bit of trouble adjusting to natural light. "Oh dear. oh deary." He sighed as he shielded his eyes with his hand. "One of these days I will get around to doing something about these eyes of mine. Yes, they're always a bit of a bother to take out and put back in, but anything is better than dealing with all this trouble of reorienting myself with the outside world."

"Master Mayuri!" The young woman bounced. "The ceremony. We're going to miss the ceremony!" She wanted to be louder, more imploring with her words, but settle on biting her lip and

"Everything alright?" Shunsui smiled as he stopped a few feet out of the lab. "You look uncomfortable, Mayuri. Maybe all that time in the lab isn't good for you. Some more sunlight couldn't hurt."

The twelfth division captain opened his mouth to reply, but instead of a retort for the captain commander, came "Hmmm. It seems we've got ourselves a visitor." His eyes, along with those of the captain commander and his young assistant all shifted in the direction of a handful of individuals, each with their faces covered by long brown cloaks.

"Hello." Shunsui said, turning so that his entire body faced the newcomers. "Are you guys lost?"
In response, the cloaked figures all shook their heads in perfect unison.

****

Risiru wanted to sigh, but couldn't force anything out. Her foot bounced rapidly on the cold cement before she switched to using the other one. Her fingers danced on her knees. She wished, deep down that she knew more than just ballroom dancing, because that got old kind of quick. She also wished she brought a pen and paper so she could get something done. It didn't matter what it was. She'd be happy with the chance to make a list of things to do later, once she was freed from the hell surrounding her.

On the stage there was a single shinigami, or a single would be shinigami. She didn't know said soon to be Sinigami's name, but she knew of him. They'd been in a few classes together. The guy, whose hair was light blue and his eyes were red, didn't have a life. He lived for being a shinigami, and made sure his teachers could see that in his work. In his hands were several sheets of college ruled white paper. Risiru, from the middle section, was too far to be able to make out the individual words the would be shinigami had scrawled on the back. Which may or may not be a blessing. It all depended on the slim chance that anything had to say could be anything resembling a twist or not. She could, on the other hand, to her horror, make out that the words were small, very small, the kind of small that could only be achieved with special pencils. Which also brought on the fact that there was riding on the back of the pages at all.

"This is too much." Risiru mumbled to herself.
"Excuse me?" The soon to be Shinigami sitting next to her said, looking annoyed that she was being distracted during the speech.
"That's okay." Risiru said, getting up to make her way to the front. "You're excused. Just try not to make it a habit." She started moving down the row towards the front but stopped at the sound of an explosion off in the distance. Before she was able to react, every member of the would be shinigamis was on their feet, leaning forwards to try and get a better look. Some started to move, but were quickly stopped by their teachers.

"What was that?" Risiru said, not to anyone in particular in the first row. Her heart was racing. It was hard to tell if it was because there was danger and excitement near by, or if it was because of the fact that they wouldn't, in all likely hood, be made to sit down and listen to the rest of the speech.

There was a woosh as two figures in white appeared at the center of the stage. One was the captain Commander himself, Shunsui dressed in his usual pink komono. However, instead of its usual pristine condition, the fabric was ripped, nearly to shreds. It was hanging on by nothing more than wishes and prayers. In his arm was a young woman, the assistant to the 12th division's captain. She was bruised and cut up but didn't seem like she'd die any time soon. She was able to stand on her feet, all be it a bit wobbly, after the captain commander put her down. The other figure, who looked even worst for the wear was the captain of the 12th division He was missing an arm, all the way up to his shoulder. there was also a large hole in the other shoulder. There was blood coming on the side of his mouth, but his face was one of mild annoyance.

"We're sorry, everyone." Shunsui said, stepping forwards, in front of the red eyes shinigami who didn't look to pleased to be so unceremoniously cut off. "But it looks like we'll be having to cut the ceremony short. There's some issues that the captains need to attend to." He turned his attention to a group of shinigami, off to the side, all holding pouches with degrees inside them. "If you'll please. Pass those out."

"Now then." The captain commander continued. "You'll find directions on where to go with next, along with your diplomas. Please be quick as the captains will be calling meetings of their own shorts."

***

The young shinigami were quick to hand out the diplomas to their owners. It came with being members of the 6th division.

"Hmmm?" Risiru opened the note that came with her diploma and looked it over.

Division 14

Below those words was a map of the seritei. Over an area near the 12th division's barracks there was an X, which was a mark for the spot.

"Wait." Risiru arched an eyebrow and turned to the three closest soon to be shinigami sitting in the front row. "Is there a fourteenth division now?"

Prodigy 003

Division 14

Saishu had found a sour taste in his mouth now. The explosion and subsequent appearance of the Captain Commander had sparked a flame in him, very rarely did he get the chance to see live combat. Heck, he couldn't recall a single visit to The World of the Living. He stood up slowly to his feet, a snail among those that had jolted up out of either fear or anticipation. He wished he had a sixth sense for feeling the reiryoku of others, unfortunately he was garbage at Kido practices, and that trickled down to more "nuanced" spiritual abilities.

The piece of paper in his hand; the directions that would lead him and many others to Division 14 perhaps had been studied harshly. A second later and it was folded and tucked between his soul reaper garb and underclothes. I should find, Takuya and Shiroko. I wooonder? He took a gambling glance over the heads of other students and found them with a couple of others. Thought so.

Saishu pushed his way through the tightening crowd, all muttering and mumbling indecisions. His voice rung out over the babble. "S-Shiroko! T-Tt-Takuya! Gahh, excuse me!" He slithered out from between two clusters, popping out on the other side and straightening out his clothes. The two seemed closest to Savaris and Momoiro; the latter of which he had kept an eye on himself, simply because he had found her odd in very lovely way.

Once near them he simply pulled out his sheet of paper and held it up for them to see."Prodigy zero-zero-three. Division fourteen? you guys didn't happen to get nonsense like this too did you?"

What happened to them?! Takuya thought as he watched the Captain Commander injured on the stage. He wanted to ask someone but deciding against it, someone else would help him heal, and he had no reason to think his Kaido was any better than those that would be helping the two.

Once one of the teachers gave him his diploma, Takuya looked down at his sheet of paper curiously.

Takuya Kyokuho

Prodigy 007

Division 14

“Huh, Division 14? Is that a new one or something?” He asked Momoiro @Yorutenchi and Savaris @Champion before looking intently at the ‘prodigy’ part. Prodigy? Last time he checked he was above average when it came to classes here but he never really got more then a 94 on any of the tests, usually averaging around 90s or 91s.

Before he could further inquire Saishu, a casual friend of his, burst out from the crowd to meet him, showing Takuya his own paper with similar results and calling it nonsense.

“Yeah I got something similar.” He said to Saishu @Renny holding up his diploma. He continued to show Saishu until he realized something Saishu said. “Wait, Shiroko?” He asked aloud before turning around and noticing Shiroko @Red Mage had been sitting behind them the whole time. “Oh, hey Shiroko, didn't see you there. You get something similar?” He asked gesturing to his diploma.

Savaris didn't notice Iwakuni sitting behind them until Momoiro brought her up. Thinking back, Savaris did recall being bested by her. He also remembered getting his vengeance. He chuckled as he responded "You bet your ass I did. Last time I took it easy on a girl." I winked at Iwakuni before slamming his fist into his hand. "Doesn't surprise me one bit that you're graduating here too."

After that, it wasn't long before festivities came underway. The "class rep" as he was referred to took to the podium to speak. Long and boring as expected from such a background individual. I mean most of Savaris' friends were background but at least they were cool. After a moment savaris let out a loud and painfully long yawn. Before standing up and moving as if he were about to walk out in the middle of the speech when an explosion rang.

"What-" In a moments notice, the captain commander and as well as captain Mayuri appeared in center stage. "CAPTAIN COMMANDER!!" Savaris roared as he disappeared with a silent boom known as flash step. Appearing instantly beside the commander. The trio seemed injured however they seemed to be doing just fine. As expected from captains. Savaris quickly regained his composure hearing the Commanders orders. He went to the attendant and grabbed his papers before moving back to his original spot next to his friends.

Prodigy 008
Division 14

Was all he needed to know to figure out what had to be done. Before long other classmates were gathering with similar directions. "Ririsu. You too?" Soon after Saishu appeared holding up his paper. "Saishu was it?" His face seemed familiar to Savaris but he couldn't think of where. "It would seem that my hopes....." Savaris would say dramatically as fake tears ran down his eyes. "Have been tarnished...." He would sniffle and clear his face mumbling under his breath "I wanted to be in squad 2." over and over circling into a more and more depressing spiral.

He slowly made his way towards the doors heading to his new squad. He was happy that he was finally a member of the court guard squad, however, he couldn't help but feel disappointed. The Shihoin family followed a simple course and had for generations. So now he couldn't help but feel like a failure. What was this division 14 and why was he assigned there. He would surely find out.

Bakuto Hokori

"What is going on. An explosion? What just happened? Is that Captain Kurotsuchi and Captain Kyōraku were they in a fight?" just a few of the hundred of questions going through Bakuto's mind. He listened as the commander spoke and followed his instructions. Bakuto was fighting every urge not to grab his sword and try to find who cause this explosion. He was given a his diplomia and gave it a quick look over.

Prodigy 009
Division 14

Bakuto was relieved when it didnt say divsion four but he was confused and said out loud, "Squad Fourteen? Did I miss something? Did I miss a class or something? Arent their only thirteen squads?" Bakuto scratched his head trying to think this out he starts to hear others talk about it. Seems like he wasnt the only one being put into this fourteenth squad. He looked at the first part prodigy he almost laughed, he failed every attempt to learn kido and he is labeled a prodigy that must be a mistake he thought but he wasnt going to question it.

He then looked around and asked rather bluntly to anyone who would listen, "So anyone have any idea what this division fourteen thing suppose to be? Seems to be a few of us going there, just wondering if anyone knows a thing."

While being clueless about what this division might be Bakuto's interests have been peaked and he was looking forward to finding out what this is. Bakuto does want to get involved in whatever is going on with this sudden explosion but his interests have been effectively turned to this new squad.
