Humble Beginnings: Great Adventure Awaits!

Today is the big day. The first time you will be going into the dungeon as an adventurer with the blessing of your god/goddess. There couldn't have been a more perfect day with the bright sun clearly visible in the deep blue sky, a gentle breeze blowing through the streets bringing with it the aromas of baked goods from the shops that have recently opened up. Main Street is filled with adventurers heading towards the dungeon, veterans and rookies alike, equipped in the best gear they can afford.

General chatter fills the air as parties and familia members talk with each other and visit the many stalls on the way to the dungeon. Rows of houses and buildings stretch all the way down to the Tower of Volkrun, up until a large courtyard in front of the massive structure. There supporters, those part of a familia but not strong enough to enter the dungeon alone, meet up with adventurers to head in together while supporters not hired by an adventurers attempt to sell their services.

You have left the Guild House after meeting with your assigned Guild Advisor. There are no changes or emergencies in the dungeon so for today it should be the safest it can be for new adventurers however you are restricted to the first floor. Still, excitement fills you walk down through the large crowd. The Tower of Volkrun standing tall in the distance, a monument to the gods who through their blessings you are able to fight the monsters below.

At last you arrive at the courtyard that marks the entrance to the Tower and Dungeon. You notice that there a few other adventurers who seem to be just starting out as well judging by their gear. There is no more time to waste! The start of a great adventure awaits!

@Achronum

I'm relying on you to do your best, alright Renji? Fight with grace and come back safely.

The words and visage of your goddess float inside your mind as stop in front of the Tower of Volkrun, there is a reason why she is a goddess of beauty. From the way she first messed around with your hair to get it 'just right', you could get the sense that your goddess might just be a little obsessed with your appearance. Your first time inside the Familia's manor was quite a shock as well, since nearly every member was either drop-dead gorgeous or ruggedly handsome and now you were associated with them. Before you left to leave the dungeon today, she fussed over your appearance for five straight minutes. You got the impression that it was more than her being concerned about your looks and perhaps her own way of showing worry. Today you will be venturing into the Dungeon alone and simply coming out alive will be a victory.

Suddenly, you see them. Members of the Athena Familia in a party likely heading for the middle or lower floors. Your eyes spot the well-known adventurer, Feron near the back of the group. His signature glaive attached to the back of his white leather long-coat, he simply radiates an aura of strength. Briefly his eyes meet with yours, before they walk into the tower and likely down into the dungeon.

@Polaris North

You're gonna do great Via, I just know it! Go show them the strength of the Kagu-Tsuchi Familia!

You are currently waiting in the large courtyard waiting for an older member of Familia to come, they seem to be a little late at the moment. Your god, Kagu-Tsuchi, felt it best for you to start as a supporter for one of the other members familia for your first delve into the dungeon. That of course means you will still be getting your fair share of the valis, since one of the many mottos of the Kagu-Tsuchi Familia is: "Anything worth doing is worth charging money for!". The adventurer you will be supporting is an dwarf by the name of Amrec, a level 3 adventurer from what you know of him.

At last he arrives, a long ginger beard in a long braid and two smaller ones on each side while the top of his head is completely shaven except for a Mohawk. Two one-handed, bearded axes hang of both sides of his hips as he walks towards you. Amrec, as you learned from Kagu, is more of a berserker than a tank and has a B-rank strength attribute "You look ready to go into the dungeon lass!" His bellowing voice cheerfully calls out, a smile hidden underneath his thick beard "Not every-day you get to follow the great Amrec into battle!" He laughs heartily, a joking tone in his voice.

@Trainerblue192

Take your time today, my child. I have faith you will show me great things but pace yourself. I will eagerly await your return.

Poseidon's words whisper in your ears as you walk down the main street of Vezion, accompanied by another Poseidon Familia adventurer who is also entering the dungeon for the first time today. Her name is Misha and she is a werewolf, the two of you joined the Familia around the same time. Just from speaking to her a few times before, you know that can quite an airhead at times but the way she fights with a spear is quite something. Her teal eyes, like the grand ocean, are wide open as the two of you pass by several food stalls. Poseidon said that the two of you would party at least for today to make things easier on the both of you.

"Wow, everything smells so good!" She cries out then looks up at you with determined eyes "We should get some snacks after the dungeon, Mare!" Whether she was enthusiastic about the food or the dungeon, it was not quite clear. The first floor is where every newbie adventurer begins and is where your advisor told you to go. It was only when your abilities went up that she said she would consider granting access to the second floor. The two of you are about as ready as you can be to go into the dungeon.

@Duoya

Don't push yourself too hard when you're in there, okay? If you do get hurt, well, I'll be here to heal you. This is just the start, May.

Inside the dungeon, there is wealth to be had whether from magic stones or from rare drop items. The deeper you go, the more valuable stuff that is dropped or can be found. A fortune can be made by adventurers strong enough to push beyond themselves. Some adventurers pass you on the way to the dungeon equipped with gear that must have cost hundreds of thousands of Valis, most of them likely carrying potions made by your Familia. Your spell, Purification, is quite a useful one for staying alive in the dungeon and has the potential to save someone in need.

You are not the only new adventurer from the Isis Familia who are going into the dungeon today it seem. A hume bunny, Klou Renfar, is also on the move towards the dungeon. It is still possible to reach her and perhaps party up, allowing the two of you to take on more monsters and defeat them easier. Of course with a party comes splitting the valuable magic stones dropped by the monsters. Whatever you decide, it is time to enter the dungeon and begin your fortune!

@chukklehed

Ah my dear Klou, today is the first time you are going into the dungeon isn't it? How far you have come...Trust in yourself and you will be fine.

Today you will no longer watch as other familia members come and leave from the dungeon. Today you are finally ready to tackle it yourself and find that adventure you seek. Older familia adventurers have often told you stories from the dungeon and how it gets crueler and more unpredictable the far you go down. It thanks to their knowledge that you have a strong idea of what awaits you in the long corridors of the maze-like dungeon. Killing monsters is good but you know that there are times when you must flee a dangerous situation.

From looking around, you know you won't be the only new adventurer being tested on floor 1. In fact, there is May Corwell some distance behind you as you make your way to the dungeon's entrance. She is just starting out as well but has not been in the familia nearly as long as you have, so in a sense you are her senior. At some point in the familia's manor you overheard that she had a pretty decent healing spell which might help if you got hurt.

"Wow, everything smells so good!" She cried out as she looks up at me with determined eyes "We should get some snacks after the dungeon, Mare!"
A grin spreads across Mare's faces at her words, her determination to make it out of the dungeon is all one needed to stay alive. A force to drive them to survive for just a while longer. "Well then if you're wanting some snacks I suggest we make this a fast trip huh? And I'm not talkin' bout leaving early. I mean using good old fashion strength and perservience to blow through floor one." his tone was cocky yet his voice was something to be marveled. Being a nereid his voice was as beautiful as a cascading ocean wave and when sung was enough to grab ones attention. It is of course his sisters who tend to get all the attention for not only are their voices fair but also they are themselves beautiful maidens. He could feel sparks of electricity surging through his body in the excitement of it all. "Alright Misha, race you there!" his coxky tone continues as he preps his legs for a sprint and dashes forward towards the dungeon. Todays the day I finally get to test out the dungeon, and today's the day I'll clear out floor one

So, Kurvia's first day on the job. And, she started out a bit too early. After meeting up with Kagu-Tsuchi, and him giving her some pep talk, she was already off for the courtyard. Having already eaten, she was simply waiting there for her partner. Her god had insisted that she act as the supporter for a more experienced familia member, and she had no qualms about it. She did plan on just being a supporter. Of course, this did mean that she brought along some supplies so that she could repair his weaponry should it break.

Of course, she had done her own research about her partner. Amrec. Actually, she didn't need to look very far. Being one of the Level 3 members of the Familia, she already knew of him. And being the Dwarven Berserker, that went on double. Via was giddy with excitement. Not only would she finally step onto a dungeon, but she was also accompanying an experienced adventurer like Amrec.

"You look ready to go into the dungeon lass! Not every-day you get to follow the great Amrec into battle!"

Her eyes sparkled with excitement as she spun around to look at the Dwarf. As expected, he looked like most of his kin and favored axes. Via grinned at her companion and brought her hand up in a mock salute. "It's an honor, Amrec!" She jokingly said as well. Easing up, she placed her hands inside her pockets. "Really looking forward to it. Shall we go?" She seemed to have calmed down and then looked towards the dungeon. There were a lot of others who seemed to be first timers as well. Ooh, she wondered if she would bump into them later and maybe even team up? Different Familia or not, they all needed to help each other in a place where they could actually die, like the dungeon.

Klou Renfar

Klou straightened her pack as she entered the dungeon square, shifting it to hang comfortably off her shoulder. She had seen her fellow Familia member tailing behind her after she left, but she wanted to see if the other girl would try to catch up to her or not, so she kept walking pretending not to have noticed. She fully planned to stop at the entrance of the dungeon and enter together either way, since she didn't want to feel responsible if May got herself hurt or something happened to her. Sure, they'd have to split the loot they gathered, but together they'd gather more than twice what they could alone.

Slowing down her pace a bit, remember what Isis had told her about her Agility, and pretended to enjoy the sights around the square. She paused by the fountain in the middle of the open space to 'inspect' it, surreptitiously watching her comrade draw closer from the corner of her eye.

Renji smirked up at the dungeon, practically vibrating with excitement. Although it had been embarrassing with the Goddess fussing over him with the rest of the familia watching, he really did appreciate it. His Grandmother didn't believe in haircuts, something about scissors dulled three times over and the number of fates and blah blah blah, so he hadn't been sure what to do with his hair for the dungeon. It reached just past his back and he had been worried about monsters grabbing onto it. Thankfully, Aphrodite pulled it into a tight bun and pinned it in place at the back of his head. She definitely made a few choice remarks about it too. Apparently he would be getting it trimmed tonight after the dungeons. Something about split ends and conditioner. Renji shrugged and turned his attention back to the dungeon, a familiar excitement bubbling in his stomach.

And then it happened. His breath caught in his throat as Feron walked by. That was what he wanted. To be as strong as- no, stronger than!- Feron. He wanted his name on everyone's lips, he wanted to reach the deepest parts of the dungeon, he wanted to be someone his familia could be proud of!

"I swear Feron. I'm going to outpace you if its the last thing I do!" Renji vowed right then and there before he bolted into the dungeon, excitement and nervousness buzzing in his veins.

May

The dungeon itself was impressive, as to be expected from such a structure. It reached far beyond the clouds in the sky, to the point that May wondered how in the hell they even managed to keep it standing. The foundation and building material either had to be far beyond anything most people are capable of, or (more likely) the structure itself was kept steady through magic. May quickly made her way towards the monolith - she was dressed in the rather plain dress that she had worn for the majority of her life, the only differentiating thing being that it was significantly more padded than usual. An older woman that she knew from the streets had offered to patch it up for her when she headed into the dungeon for the first time... Along with her dress, she also had the iron dagger she was given by her father since she was a child. He gave it to her to only be used to protect herself from vagrants and more violent members of the slums, but she was thankfully able to avoid such circumstances.

As she approached, parties became apparent features of the tower - teams organizing their strategies before entering the hellscape that lied just below the surface. It was hard to discern whether she was jealous or grateful - With another person there, she would have more help, but she would be forced to share the loot with whoever she sided with. That was something she would do her best to avoid - especially if she paired up with someone that was a stranger. Just as was within view of the Towers entrance, however, May saw her.

She was a beast human, specifically a hume bunny. She had light blond hair, and sported a large amount of bags and bottles that hung from her sides. What caught May was that the girl was a member of her familia - and, therefore, most likely a senior figure to her. May her self only recently joined the familia, so it was fair to say the vast majority of the familia was her senior. The temptation to call out and party was tempting, but considering how far out ahead she was, it was quickly suppressed. May knew from experience that the best way to live was to get as little attention as possible - being some big shot was a quick way to get stabbed where she was from. If they meet up, they met up - May just wouldn't be the one to instigate it. Asking for help was a sign of weakness. Worst case scenario, May would do what she planned to - fight on the first floor, get as much as she could, and leave.

Best case scenario, they teamed up - having an ally was more valuable than first floor drops. And it would be better to team up with someone from the same familia - the Isis familia had been generous so far in their care.

A small giggle escaped Misha's lips at Mare's bold statement, though she nodded firmly in agreement "You sure are confident, Ma-re. You got it, we'll crush the first floor together!" Excitement seeped into her tone being the energetic individual she was. A wide, toothy grin shown on Misha's face as she was challenged to a race. Mare got a small lead at the beginning but Misha quickly caught up, and surpassed him at the end. Surely if this has been a swimming race, the result would have much different "I win! Now you gotta buy me some Potato snacks!" She said triumphantly. The two of you passed several other newbie looking adventurers appearing to be preparing to enter the dungeon themselves.

The two of you descend down into the first floor of the dungeon, there are many corridors resembling a carved out cave. Luminescent stones illuminate the paths as you set on your way. You shortly encounter your first monsters, four green-skinned goblins holding primitive knives. They all turned to face you, letting out a squealing shriek as they charge towards you both. Goblins are the weakest creatures of the dungeon as you understand and the most common monster on floor 1. Misha grips her spear tightly stepping in front of you, her brows furrowed in deep determination. When the first goblin reaches her, she thrusts the tip of her spear into the monster's chest as it lunges. A deep sound resonates in your ears as it explodes into black shadows and fades out of existence, dropping a single, small, and iridescent stone.

@Polaris North

Amrec nodded "Don't want to keep the beasts waiting, eh?" His tone indicated it was a rhetorical question, and he began to walk to the entrance of the dungeon. Two adventurers, one appearing to be a spirit and the other a werewolf, seemed to race towards the dungeon in front of you "Ah, young kids are always in such a hurry." He commented fondly as soon the two of you were ready to delve into the first floor yourself "It's time to show me what you got, even though you're starting as a supporter I want to see you in action, got it?" His voice encouraging as you both went down to the first floor.

The soft sounds of Amrec's metal armor is the only thing that be heard as you starting walking down one of the many corridors in the dungeon. You are nearly the end when you see cracks forming in the wall ahead. From the cracks, a pack of seven kobolds drop onto the ground staring you down with their piercing red eyes as the wall behind them seals back up "Here we go, Kurvia!" Amrec yells out as he charges in front, a booming warcry resounding through the halls as he slams his right axe into the neck of one of the kobolds, severing its head instantly making it disintegrate into a a black smoke, dropping a magic stone in its place. Amrec kept his momentum, his left axe hitting with extra power from his spin as it sliced across another kobold's chest, felling it as well. One of the kobolds seems to sense the difference in power between you two and bypasses Amrec, going straight for you instead.

@Achronum

You can see nobody else as you journey through the twisting paths, making it so you have only yourself to rely on. It almost seems impossible that someone as powerful as Feron could have started just as you have, but as some point he must have. The only way to surpass him was to defeat the monsters on this floor and grow stronger. A loud roar echoes through the hall you are in when you see a brown-haired human breathing erratically and running your way. Soon it is clear what it chasing him, a pair of kobolds with blood-lust in their eyes. He already seems to have taken some damage, as the marks on his armor indicate "Sorry, they're yours now!" he simply says as he run past you, showing no regret in his voice.

He runs out of sight as the two kobolds close in on you, turning their attention to the fresh meat. One lets out a ear-piercing howl before it lunges towards you, slashing with one of its sharp claws. Your path to power begins now. If you can't defeat these monsters right now, reaching Feron will never happen.

Despite the girl's distance in front of may, it appears to be to closing as she walks towards the Hume Bunny. The way that the bunny-girl was walking and seemingly looking around gave the impression that she was waiting for something or stalling for time, as she looked like the type that could move pretty quickly. This trend continued until you were only a few feet away from catching up to her. She appeared to be quite young much like yourself and the equipment she wore was not something more experienced adventurers of the familia wore.

@chukklehed

The werewolf girl didn't seem to have any intentions of approaching you directly though she still got closer as you slowed your pace. Even as the distance finally close to just a few feet, she didn't seem like she was going to initiate the conversation, it might be that she is a little shy. The other new adventurers seemed to have already gone into the dungeon and the courtyard was clearing up a bit.

The sight of Misha driving her spear through the goblin with no hesitation brought great joy to Magi. A wicked grin began to form as he watched the creature exploded into a shadowy cloud. He reached for his short sword, unsheathing it, to have it ready in case of a close combat situation. Holding his free hand out he formed a ball of electricity that shot out towards one of the goblins. Immediately after launching it he sped toward the nearest goblin and went to strike it down with the sword. "Don't slow down on me now Misha, we're just getting started" His sword clashed with the blade of the goblins, each of their weapons locked at the guards until Magi pressed back as he dashed backwards to unlock themselves. "These goblins messed with the wrong familia! Prepare to feel the wrath of Poseidon and quiver at his might!" he growled at the remaining goblins.

He barely registered the human rushing past, fixated on the blood red eyes charging down the corridor. His blood pounded in his ears. He felt himself tense up. Fear rushed through his veins. He felt hot then cold then hot again. All he could think was “Run. Run. RUN!” The scream broke him out of the haze just in time to take most of the claws to his bracers, a little blood still spilling. The stinging pain jolted Renji back into action and he shouted back at the thing, gabbing its head with his other hand and slamming it down into his knee before following up with a roundhouse across its face.

He kept the momentum up and used the motion to take a fluid step towards the other kobold, snarling as he lashed out at it with his fist.

Via watched as two new adventurers, she assumed, rushed towards the dungeon. She knew the feeling. Her body wanted to move faster - to hurry ang get inside already. After all, this was her first dungeon crawling experience. She turned to Amrec and gave him a thumbs up and her signature grin. "I'm not too keen on taking the back seat too much, don't worry." Via's hand curled around the hilt of her sword as they delved inside. There was a sinking feeling in her stomach - probably her nervousness acting up. No matter how excited she was, she still was aware of the consequences of going inside. She may have Amrec with her, but still.

Listening to the calming, and grounding, sounds of Amrec's armor was what occupied her as they continued down the hall. Just as they were about to reach a dead end, Kobolds began appearing through the cracks appearing at the wall in front of them. Seven of them huh? Amrec had already charged by the time Via adjusted her grip on the hilt of her sword and held onto the scabbard. The Dwarf sliced a Kobold's head off and slashed one right through its chest. Via smirked. Of course, couldn't expect anything less from a Level 3 Adventurer like Amrec. But one of the Kobolds seemed to finally notice that Amrec and Via weren't on the same level so they charged at her.

Excellent.

Taking a deep breath to calm herself, she charged forward and unsheathed her katana in the form of a slice aimed at the kobold, aiming to decapitate or at least injure the kobold seriously. Whether or not the kobold would be seriously injured or even die, she would retreat sidewards and kept an eye on anything that might attack her.

Klou Renfar

Klou kept her eye on May as the girl passed by, seemingly not interested in teaming up. She was about to broach the subject herself when a wave of apathy passed over her, and she shrugged. If the girl didn't want to team up together, that was up to her. Surely any member of the Isis Familia could handle herself just fine. Still, Klou didn't let herself get too far from the girl. She would still feel bad if something happened to her and she had done nothing. She waited until May was almost out of her range of hearing, then continued her journey into the dungeon. Her ears rotated to follow her fellow Familia member, never letting the girl get too far ahead as she prepared for her own first dungeon dive.

May

The woman did nothing as May continued to approach, leading May to believe that she did not wish to party. Understandable - she had plenty of potions, and while she was not the best equipped, she could probably handle herself similarly to May. May eventually passed the girl, and continued her way into the dungeon. While it was unlikely that she would meet the woman again while in the dungeon, it would have simply looked bad to ask to team up when they didn't even know each other - May simply assumed that the woman did not want to team up, and continued on her way.

The courtyard was thinning quickly as May entered the dungeon, and May planned to go down the path with the least number of people - that way, she could maximize the amount of monsters she could kill, and the loot she could gain. Her weapon was rather pathetic, but it was the only one that she had and was proficient in it's use. Her biggest benefit was the fact that she had her spell, Purification - She would put herself at great risk thanks to her close range weapon, but the spell would allow her to last far longer than she otherwise would have. The spell was her main saving grace.

The dungeon was cave-like, at least for the first level - May couldn't help but let out a gasp of amazement. She had never seen anything like this place in her life, the closest being descriptions in the countless books she had read over the years. After several seconds of pause, May shook herself back to the situation at hand, and made her way down the corridor that she saw the least amount of people going down. Worst case scenario, May was confident that she could take a hit or two and live - and from what the other guild members have told her, getting hit would increase her Endurance anyways. And besides, as long as she was conservative with her mana, she would be able to last awhile in the dungeon before heading back.

A whitish-blue bolt of lightning shot from you hand, the light illuminating the corridor more as it pierced through the weak hide of the goblin you aimed at. The smell of burning flesh filled the air briefly as a roughly fist-sized hole was left in the chest of the goblin before it turned to ash and shadows "Right behind ya!" Misha said confidently as she followed right behind you. The other goblin tried to swing its knife at you from the left while you were engaged with the other, but Misha stepped in and caught the attack with the shaft of her spear. Once blocked, she quickly used the end of her spear to lift herself up and kick the offending goblin back with force before dropping next to you "I got the one on the left, let's finish this Mare!" she called out, spurned on more by your war cry.

The goblin you had just locked blades with came back at you, its knife swinging wildly now as it let out another high-pitched squeal. The goblin Misha had kicked got up once more, though slightly wounded, and went after its aggressor. When she went to thrust her spear, the goblin managed to dodge it and thrust its knife towards her. Misha's sleeve tore open from the knife but she mainly managed to move out of the way and counter by knocking it down to the ground, and plunging the spear into its neck vanquishing it. Just as she finished up with her goblin, you see a brown-haired human run right past you guys despite your current fight. A faint yelling can be heard ahead as the wounded human leaves your vision.

@Achronum
HP-30
A rewarding crack sounds off as your knee connects with its skull, the roundhouse kick connecting and knocking the creature off its feet and back some. You follow through well-enough with your next strike but you feel the impact as the kobold's claws slash mostly across your front-plate armor. However, a small burning sensation lets you know the armor did not take all of the damage for you. Bones snap as you connect with his upper right shoulder, the sounds of tearing muscles as the limb goes completely limb. The kobold howls in pain and anger before it lunges for you, looking to sink its teeth into your shoulder or neck. On the ground, the other kobold slowly rises clearly disoriented from the strike but appears to be recovering. Soon it will be after you again.

@Polaris North

Amrec seems to have the attention of the the other four kobolds, leaving you free to engage the one after you. The blade slides out of the sheath quickly but not with the skill you intended. The iron blade slices into the kobold's arm as it attempts to swipe across your chest with its razor sharp claws but stops after hitting bone lacking the speed to cut deeper. Blood heavily drips from the arm as it howls in pain, but it does not relent in its assault. Teeth snarling, the kobold dashes towards you and leaps off the ground planning to strike you with its undamaged arm. The speed and blood lust of the creature will make dodging safely unlikely.

Meanwhile, Amrec strikes down another kobold by throwing his axe an nailing it right in the fore-head. It seems that you are less there to support Amrec and more he is there to observe how you handle yourself "How ya doing there lassie?" He yells out to you.

@Duoya

The dungeon is silent as you go down your path, your own footsteps providing the only ambiance as he you make your way. Even with the lighting, it is difficult to see far down the corridor. A figure becomes more visible as it draws closer, a goblin. This one however is a darker shade of green than normal ones and somewhat larger, in his hand a stone club. The monster squeal with anguish as it breaks into a run, lifting the club above its head. What sounded like just a simple cry seemed to be a call of reinforcments, as you spot several more pairs of red eyes appear and move towards you from the farther down the tunnel.

@chukklehed

Neither of you exchanged words with each other and simply went down into the dungeons on your own but you manage to trail behind her well. At the very least, there shouldn't be any surprise coming from her way. If there was one piece of knowledge that the Isis Familia had drilled into every member, it was the basics of first-aid and wound management. Applying pressure, making tourniquets, making banadges from torn cloth...everything one needed to stay alive longer without healing magic. While you can't see what May is up against right now, you are within hearing distance should she yell.

Two cracks form in the wall behind you as you are walking, the green-skinned bodies of two goblins slip out and onto the floor. They glare at you before moving towards you. Sharp, jagged pieces of unrefined metal in their hands, they come both at once. There is no hesitation in their movements, their one desire at that moment to see you bleeding dead on the dungeon floor.

Via cursed under her breath as her sword didn't cut all the way through - or hit anywhere near where she was planning. But at least she was able to injure her first enemy on this dungeon right? However, it soon became evident that she was in trouble as the Kobold was still alive and kicking - and more bloodthirsty than ever. The Kobold charged towards her, with all the speed and rage the Kobold had inside. In a split second decision after realizing that she couldn't dodge by now, she decided to attempt to block the attack by moving forward while attempting to swipe at its arm that was threatening to rip her apart - essentially just doing what the Kobold had done earlier to block her attack on its neck. She wasn't sure how this was going to play out, but hell, she didn't know how anything would happen.

She heard the Berserker Dwarf call out to her to ask how she was. Honestly, she didn't know. However, the girl had a big grin on her face despite being faced with near-certain injury. "I think I'm doing good!" She yelled back, but never looked towards him. Or else, she was pretty sure the Kobold would slice her head off given the chance.

Renji Altha

Renji barely registered the pain. Adrenaline rushed through his limbs, leaving him practically vibrating. The rush was addicting. A wicked grin fixed itself on his face as the howling kobold lunged. He threw an uppercut into the monster's jaw, quickly following it up with another punch across the jaw and a kick to the chest to knock it back.

He leaped towards the other kobold, aiming for it's face with his foot.

As the Misha blocked the attack for him Magi couldn't help but smile at how well they were working together, this would make dungeon crawling significantly easier in his eyes. Just as soon as he was praising Misha a brown haired boy ran past them as the sounds of someone screaming could be heard from further into the dungeon. "Coward!" Magi cursed at the man through gritted teeth. "Let's finish this Misha, looks like someone ditched their party and may need help." he quickly rooted himself where he stood facing the goblin and awaiting an appropriate time to strike. Just as he saw an opening as the goblin and Misha began to lock weapons in a test of strength Magi gripped his short sword much in the manner one would a throwing knife and channeled his crackling shot through the blade but as he released the shot he also released the blade flinging them so that they struck together then rapidly running after the pair so he may catch it after it's made contact.

Klou Renfar

Klou turned around at the sound of cracking stone, seeing the two goblins fall to the floor, weapons already in her hand, gave her a moment of pondering. Where exactly do monsters come from? She thought to herself, If they appear fully formed with weapons and hatred, they must have an origin. Her pensive thoughts drew to a close as she realized she should get into a combat stance. Just because this was the first floor didn't mean she could mess around. It was her first time in the dungeon, and she couldn't afford any mistakes. Setting herself in a low stance, she watched the goblins warily and waited for their first move.

May

The path she chose was luckily abandoned - at the very least, the fact that the only sound that met May's ears were her own footsteps was reassuring her of this fact. Finally, after what felt like nearly a minute of swift walking, May encountered the first monster she had ever seen - A dark green creature standing at roughly 4 and a half feet tall. The creature had a simple stone club in it's hand, and with a very high pitched screech, it came running straight for May. Out of the corner of her eye, May noticed the bright red lights of eyes piercing through the darkness that extended beyond the monster.

May quickly looked at her options - It really wouldn't be too big a problem to kill the goblin. She had never killed a person before, but she had hurt several people in self defense, and she had killed several dogs that had attacked her one time. The guys at the Barrel's Edge always said that the weakest point of any thing were the eyes, the throat, and the groin. The eyes were almost certainly other goblins - so she had to take be extremely careful when taking them out. Rushing forwards, May attempted to use her free hand to knock the club out of the Goblin's grip - meanwhile slashing across his eyes with her dagger. She then attempted a swift kick in the groin, before turning tail and running the other direction.

Even if she got hurt knocking the club away, she could always heal herself while running. And a blind Goblin would be far easier to take out - she would simply repeat this tactic with each goblin, and then take them all out when they were debilitated. Worst comes to worst, she could probably run all the way to the exit and escape with a little mana to spare, and try again another day.

Sharp claws and snarling teeth come closer as you make your move. The blade cuts into the kobold's flesh but it does not fully stop the monster's attack. A sharp pain erupts in your shoulder as as razor-like claws slice across. Warm blood begins to soak the fabric however it is not a deep wound. After the exchanging of blows, the kobold is left much worse off and it falls...disintegrating into nothing but ash and shadows. The small victory is yours.

Up ahead, the last of the kobolds fall by Amrec's hand and he comes back to you. His two axes return to their place on his hips and he pats you on the back of the shoulder not wounded. Speaking of which, the bleeding had pretty much stopped already "Not too bad, I must say." A warm smile on his face as he picked up the stone dropped and extended it in an open hand to you "Now that you've killed your first monster, I think its safe to say you're a real adventurer now." Over where Amrec had been fighting, several more stones glistening in the light.

Teeth shatter as your uppercut connects, throwing the beast off-balance and unable to properly attack you. The final kick to its chest is enough to fell the monster, its body shattering into nothing but black dust leaving behind a single crystal in its place. However taking that one out gave enough time for the other kobold to come at you once more. A single claw rips the skin of your leg, a long gash appearing along its length. The attack was not in vain as your kick also connects, smashing the kobold's skull and forcing to face the same fate as its partner.

You have accomplished what that other adventurer could not handle and while you have take some damage, victory is nonetheless yours right now. Now that you are no longer in imminent danger, you spot one of the kobold's fangs near the stone it dropped. A drop item to be precise, something that is a little more valuable than just the stone.

@Trainerblue192

The goblin stopped its wild frenzy just as the sword pierced its chest, causing a violent shock throughout its entire body. It turned out that channeling crackling shot through the sword allowed the weapon to act like a high-speed projectile. The goblin is vanquished as you run up, the sword dropping to the ground and ultimately shattering before you could reach it. The only remnant of the weapon is the handle. Misha uses her hand to wipes some sweat from her fore-head, letting out a sigh of relief "We did it Mare! But what about that person that was yelling earlier? We should go see if they are okay!" She said with worry, her hearing was much better than yours after all. Four stones lay where you vanquished the goblins, Misha already picking them up so the two of you could head out.

Misha sees that your weapon is destroyed and frowns "Mare, look what you did to your sword already. Lucky for you I have a spare dagger!" Misha reaches to a sheath on her thigh and pulls out a ordinary-looking dagger, the kind the guild gives out to most adventurers to start out. Her hand holds out the weapon, expecting you to take it.

@chukklehed

The two goblins wasted no time in coming after you, one slightly ahead of the other. They were not incredibly fast or strong, but you had the feeling that in enough numbers they could present a real threat. The first goblin swung its crude knife as it got close, slightly off to your right, aiming for your chest. The second goblin came up quickly behind, moving more to your left and lifted its weapon above its head in preparation to stab your side.

You meet the goblin head-on and attempt to disarm it, however the club comes down hard on your hand. The feeling is much like punching a solid rock with all of your force. Focused on striking your hand, the goblin can't react to your dagger coming at it. The blade slices deep into the soft flesh, the eyes of the goblin shredded rendering it blind. Already wounded, the impact from the kick is more than the goblin seems able to handle and it bursts into ash and shadows that seep into the ground. A single, small stone left its place. The eyes that glowed down the corridor now can be put to bodies, as five regular goblins come out from the shadows and begin to charge towards you.
