A year into the outbreak is starting to define how survivors are going to approach this new world. What kind of world do you want to live in?
Current Location: West Virginia
-A log cabin in a heavily wooded, near mountainous area very isolated from other human constructs.
-Only 1 dirt road going in or out and it’s at least a 20-minute drive to the exit of the forest.
-A river lies about 30-minute walk from the cabin through a worn walking trail
Time since Outbreak: over 1 year
Time of year: Late January

-A bite causes death
-Scratches will not cause death
-All humans are infected and will turn upon death
-Time of turning varies depending on a number of unknown factors
-Zombies can only be killed by damage to the brain
-Animals are impervious to the disease and will not die from an already non-fatal bite
-Zombies are like lions: if they’ve eaten, you can walk by them without fear, but a pack of hungry zombies will attack you.
-The quickest speed of any zombie is a shambling run. NO sprinters exist.
-Zombies are not dexterous. They cannot pick up or use any items, climb or swim
-Zombies have poor eyesight but they do have a strong sense of smell.
-*The whole ‘covering yourself in blood and guts’ thing is a confirmed method of zombie defence
-*Cutting off an infected limb can prevent death if removed quickly enough
*Rule is subject to player knowledge discretion. If they haven't had experience with this they probably won't know it

-Any cars found on the side of the road are probably not going to work
-The batteries in these cars can still be salvable most of the time, especially in new cars
-Majority of cars will not have any fuel left
-Any fuel left will likely be unusable, even syphoned unless
-*An octane boosting agent can be added to ‘bad’ fuel to make it useable again

-If possible try to allow at least 2 posts between your last one.
-Quality over quantity: I would prefer if this RP stuck firmly into the 'casual' category. For me, that means at LEAST 2-5 solid paragraphs (200+ words minimum)
-I'll personally be playing more of a GM role, so if things start to slow down chances are Ima throw a herd at you or an NPC, encounter something like that to pick things up or PM some people to give them a nudge.
-Feel free to not get attached to your characters and kill em off, play multiples, etc. Not everyone is going to survive, it's just more realistic.
-On the note of realistic not much is out of bounds in this RP, so things may get a little dark a little gorey so if you're sensitive to things like that maybe this might not be the RP for you.
-No asshole. IC or OOC. Like your character can be mean or weathered or weary but if they have NO redeemable qualities then they're gonna die. I will make sure of it. No one wants to play with an asshole.
-The setting will be (somewhere in West Virginia) about a year into the breakout, just so everyone has a bit more of an excuse to survive. (Also I don't live in America so the only things I know about it is what I've read off google so I apologise if some of my facts may be wrong)
Please feel free to post here with any interest, comments or questions :)
