Might I advise removing some of his powers? It does seem like there’s quite a lot of powers there. Magic and the strong wolf form? I mean one of Jose could easily go towards your guy being a protector type. The werewolf might work a bit better solo. Then you could go for the whol Protector thing but still have the cursed thing. Just my two cents as an outsider.

Yep and this is where I take my leave. I gauge powers based on the ceiling fan of other members. Considering Superman is cannon in this RP his power level is the ceiling gap.

I also perform the dead test;

-Lowell could still be damaged by Bane of all the villains in the DC Universe
-In an ideal situation, and he didn't know Deadshot was there, one silver bullet through the head sniped can kill him
-He cannot take most hits from the likes of Wonder Woman or Superman, instant death or defeat
-He is defeated by strong magic users like Zantanna, and Doctor Fate. Who also have the know how of how to cure his magical wounds which I wrote in his weaknesses

Okay. No now I am going to have address this. I already gave reasons why Lowell is low tier, but apparently I am going to have to do some more. I mirrored Lowell's strength of that of Raven's from the original Teen Titans RP. She's still not the most powerful of the roster of DC. But, I don't even have 4,000 powers.

Lowell is the equivalent of a DnD druid at mid level with transformation and the ability to cast. It's why I like when RPs like this implement some hard fast rules with numbers and statistics because Lowell can be equivalently killed by two low tier DC characters. Bane and Deadshot. Venom blah blah.

I've given you my test to manage the powers;

-He can be defeated by the highest powered characters Supermand and Wonderwoman
-He can be defeated by the lowest component of characters Bane and Deadshot
-His magic is nullified by any of the other magical based characters in the DC Universe

In my RP where I implemented tiers;

Superman being the Highest Level of Strength - which wasn't understood

Raven being mid tier of strength compared to her teen titan counterparts

Lowell sits at the feathering line between Raven and one of her lower Teen Titan counterparts

Batman being the lowest level of strength

....So anyway,

I wanna reiterate since I think the comment got lost that Anarky isn't a villain, he's an antihero. His motivation is protecting and supporting the lower classes of Gotham, who he believes are ignored and trod underfoot by superheroes. If you must, think of him like the Punisher but without the murder and the fascism.

Oh Superman isn't the height of any power levels in the DC Universe.

But Batman is not the weakest of the Justice League. His whole strength is his mind and how he can take out super powered people.

I just wanted to give some friendly advice. It is not the strength of the powers that bothers me. It is the width of those powers.

That, in my experience, is very rare in comic RPs on the Guild.

It's almost always (at least partially) a subjective experience: approving comic characters for a Guild RP.

It's a judgment call thing. That's why some players avoid some GMs. And that's fair play: a GM runs their RP with absolute power (assuming nothing breaks an actual Guild site rule), but they have no power mechanism to force players to stay in their RP. At the end of the day the players have all the power.

More powers doesn't equal more strength. It's just more options for Lowell. To me it sounds like you didn't put any factors into the scenario at all.

Even if we did put 'factors' into a theoretical scenario, it's highly unlikely that anything we have to say will change your mind. You are your character's creator, it's your masterpiece and taking criticism towards it is going to be hard.

But unfortunately, unless you do take the criticism that has been presented here, there's no way your character will be accepted because, in the eyes of many, Lowell has too many powers. Whether this makes him fit your tiers or not, the fact remains the more powers you pad your character with, the more people begin to look at a character as being well-rounded. And being too well-rounded is not a good thing in an RP.

The problem is your criticism is not apt. I can accept criticism where criticism is due. I have put many factors into Lowell when creating him which has been ignored. The very fact he could be beaten by Bane or even Batman himself has been ignored as well. When I write powers I have always considered who can kill him. Lowell is actually fairly weak in comparison to a lot of broken mechanics in the DCU. Which I have pointed out. You can get on my case about getting a name wrong. Dr. Fate and Dr. Strange, but cannot seem to think in broader terms when it comes to Lowell. You see more powers so you assume better. But that is not the case.

-He is easily beaten and his magic can be nullified by other magic users, Raven, Zantanna, Dr. Fate, and so and so forth
-Most people in DCU can obtain specialty weapons I am certain if Batman has Kryptonite than Deadshot can get silver weapons
-Than you consider characters like Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, who have enchanted or somewhat enchanted like weaponry, which can also beat Lowell

Again these factors are being ignored. When I put his powers the way I did as factors to balancing them. Well rounded should be what someone is looking for in a RP.

Dude, we do not care about his weaknesses. He is the combination of a physical character and magical character with the powers of both combined. That is my issue personally. He can do so many things and be an expert in them. Both of the power sets combined are a huge power boost.

Mainly because people have been rude up to this point and I am not some power gamer which is the assumption. I'd gladly left if people hadn't been rude about it. But I find this always the issue with these kind of DC RPs, where superman who cannot be pierced, punched, can see through walls, shoot lasers, and freeze breath. And I could go on about how much I dislike Superman as a character with abilities. But somehow we limit members to a low tier game despite that being that in the realm of possibilities. This RP doesn't present itself as a RP where super power people gain the ability to have new levels of power later on. This is who they are and what they can do now.

There's so much falsehood in this statement; Green Lantern, Aquaman, Raven, I could go on about how they are physical and "magical". But then again it's like I get a name wrong big uproar. But then when it comes to actual factual information about the DCU, the fans cannot get it right.
