No, it wasn't on there but I've been playing with a concept. Have another one I'm playing with right now, just need to make sure it meshes with Ruby's.
@Avanhelsing Just focusing on Primary Characters right now until we get the OOC and IC's up.
In the fairness of leaving it open, right now with the Secondary Character part of the CS, until folks are closer to the 5 posts in-game required I don't want anybody making sheets for them. Some of you could get accepted then never make 5 posts, but if you call dibs on Zatanna and make a sheet it could keep someone from using her as a Primary...
With the particular subtype of characters, I'm drawn to, it'd be Kara doing the throwing :P
Potential Canons are as follows (List is ordered from Most Likely to Least):
Ravager - Rose Wilson Nightwing - Dick Grayson Nightstar - Mariand'r Batgirl - Stephanie Brown Starfire - Koriand'r Batgirl - Barbara Gordon Deathstroke - Slade Wilson Spoiler - Stephanie Brown
@Lord Wraith Any Bat-characters might need reworked cause he hasn't had any sidekicks or anything in this universe. To leave Gotham more open for the Titans...
- Ω
I'll edit Robin's existence out of my CS when I can.
@Omega Man Still got room for one more character? And if so, would it be possible to take the powers or nature of a villain (canon) and let a superhero use it. For example, a certain Dr. Freeze would have been successful in reviving his beloved and gave his arsenal of ice weapons to a do-gooder. Would that be acceptable?
@Omega Man What's the rule on creating/using villains as PCs or NPCs?
Will we be able to play villains as a secondary character?
What if Player A and Player B both want to claim the same villain as an NPC/Supporting Character? (For example: both Nightwing's player and Red Hood's player want to claim the Joker.)
EDIT - Changed the questions after reading things more carefully!
I'm going through the current CS's ATM and couldn't remember if I got to these or not. You can claim villains for your potential story arcs in the Story Arcs and Supporting Characters sections of your CS. If there's any villains or anything that'd be off limits I'd work with you on some sort of compromise. The GM's mostly just control villains in team situations when there's need for it, as well as eventual 'events' that will run through several character's stories.
If two players want the same villains that's when I'd work with you guys for a compromise. Maybe you players could turn it into a team-up? I'm looking out for any character claims that would effect other's arcs.
Hey guys, Omega is currently going through the templates right now and is approving the characters one at a time. At the moment, he has to step away from his computer but the following applications have been accepted and the rest will be reviewed afterwards.
Here's my close to canon rendition of Aquaman's nemesis (it's not really him) who is now good. @Omega Man or @WXer Please tell me if this needs some revisions
Player Name: MysteryBroom
Primary Character: Manta
Secret Identity: Jackson O'Reily (he has changed his original name to this, the reason can be found in bio)
Status:Reservist JLU
Age: 27
Day Job: Works a design engineer and design consultant at Atlas Design and Engineering Firm
- Superhuman Strength: Gives the wearer the strength equal to that of Aquaman or any Atlantian who are significantly stronger than humans. - Durability: the suit is temperature regulating and can withstand extreme temperatures. It is also bulletproof and is highly resistant to impacts. It can withstand damages but persistent blows can damage the wearer's body since it will absorb some of the shock. It can also survive the depths of the ocean and withstand enormous amounts of pressure. The suit neither wears or tears. However, it can be destroyed via an enormous amount of force. - Superhuman underwater mobility: Gives the wearer incredible speeds when swimming or diving water. The speed can be similar to a torpedo shot underwater but at much greater speeds. - Camouflage: The suit can change its colour depending on the surroundings if the wearer wishes. It also conceals the wearer’s body temperature and wards off any infrared vision. - Artificial gills and oxygen system: Allows the wearer to breath in oxygen underwater for an indefinite amount of time. When out of the water, the oxygen recycling system can supply the wearer with oxygen if he is lacking any.
- Durability: it shares the same degree of durability as the main suit has. It is made up of an advanced metal alloy and protects the wearer from trauma. It neither wears or tears - Augmented sight: the helmet is equipped with all technological means of enhancing one’s sight. This includes night vision, binoculars, magnifier, infrared, thermal, and X-ray vision. - Laser eyes: the helmet can shoot lasers out the eyes which are streams of particles which can be as hot as the sun or greater. - Speech augmentation: manipulates the voice of the wearer to conceal the real vocals. - Signal receiver and broadcaster: the helmet can pick any signal from any spectrum at any bandwith. As well as broadcast at specific spectrums at any bandwith. This ability is restricted by distance however. It cannot pick up signals too far and cannot broadcast signals at great distances.
- Harpoon gun: a custom harpoon gun. It shoots diamond-tip harpoons which are attached to titanium cable. Sharp and durable. - Two short swords: A pair of short swords which are made from an advance titanium alloy. Lightweight, sharp, durable and rust-free. - Prototype trident: not Aquaman’s trident, this is a ordinary trident made from experimental carbon nanotubes which mean it has the strength of and resilience of diamonds and can be used as an excellent conductor. It does not have any magical properties. - The Manta Sub: The good old Manta Sub that Black Manta used. It comes equipped with essentials like life support, a medical bay, torpedos, guns and other arsenal, and etc. The Sub is also powered via a thermonuclear reactor in its engine.
- He is human, any major injury would gravely wound him or kill him. - As for the suit, it is not resilient to magic. It also has lots of electronic components which means when dealt with a large current of electricity, the suit could malfunction. Or worse, the electric shock could cause brain failure, heart failure or even full organ system damage. - The suit doesn’t provide any means of augmenting stamina or respiratory abilities. In short, the wearer can get tired or fatigue after activities. - Jackson has suffered bouts of hallucinations due to his past of drug abuse. This has challenged his mental state to be able to focus since the hallucinations occur randomly. These days, the hallucinations are about his friends who were killed by the pirates. - Short sighted, he can’t see well without glasses or contact lenses. He has modified the helmet to help him see clearly. - A huge weakness of his: he is a novice at combat experience. He relies solely on his suit and decent physique. Side note, he is a terrible shot.
- A damn good engineer with a master’s degree to boot. He his great at structural design. - Excellent swimmer - Great cook, he has taken a specialty in sea food. - Pretty good at scrabble
Underneath the suit, he is 6' with a light brown skin and black hair. He prefers a clean shave and his hair is always cut short.
Jackson Raymond O’Reily, born from a rich, elitist family, from day one he was spoiled rotten. His father, a industrialist, his mother is a logistics tycoon. He had the whole world on a silver platter and everything he wanted was given to him in a whim.
At college, he went to Ivy league and took engineering just to continue his family legacy of engineers. Once finishing his bachelor’s degree, he took his father’s yacht and went on a cruise around the seas with his friends. Every day was a whole new party from dusk till dawn. They’ve taken their travels to every major port and harbor they could find and party some more. But his fortune would soon turn against him, when they ventured out to open seas and found themselves at the mercy of pirates. They took Jackson and all his friends hostage for ransom.
They held them hostage and awaited ransom. However, this process took weeks on end and this tested the patience of the captors and before long they were surrounded by navy and military forces. Outraged, the pirates began executing their prisoners including Jackson and their bodies were thrown to the sea. Luckily for Jackson, he survived his wounds and drowned into the depths slowly.
On the brink of death, he saw a flashing red light coming closer to him. He thought it was another sea creature or Death ready to greet him. But no, it was the Manta Sub. As it took Jackson in, the sub’s medical bay treated his wounds and revived him. It is revealed to Jackson that the original owner of the Manta Sub, Black Manta, had found peace and given up quest. He instructed the Sub to find “a new captain” since the Sub must have a captain. He took the sub back home, in secret of course, he used his wealth and time to pursue a higher education in engineering and repair the contents of the sub including the suit. Feeling guilty for the lost of his friends, he disappeared from his home along with the sub, cut off all times of money and reputation, changed his family name and got a job. He has gone to Gotham’s docks where he believes he can make something good out of himself.
- Something Is In The Water [Solo]: A shipment of human slaves makes it way to Gotham’s ports. Manta traces its destination to find that the shipment is for Killer Croc. The purpose Manta has to brave the dark to uncover. - On Dry Land [Team-up or JLU mission]: Penguin has been hatching an evil scheme for fortunes. He intends to create a synthetic storm to flood Gotham and steal all the city’s wealth while its forces are rendered flooded and disabled.
Something Is In The Water: Killer Croc, Commissioner Gordon and Black Mask.
On Dry Land: Any other Gotham hero who wants to team up, Batman, Penguin, and Firefly
These folks are also accepted but some have some notes needing addressed...
@Ruby - Supergirl - Solo - Metropolis * needs to alter the Kents as Supporting characters since they'd be super old. Lex Luthor Jr is also the Lex in this universe and also involved in other's arcs and will have to be managed by a GM.
@Unknown100 - Batwoman - Solo - Gotham * Oracle can't have the connection to Batman as there were no Batgirl's. Huntress also has to be the non Wayne version.
@Lurking - Constantine - Solo - Nomad * If somebody wants Zatanna as a Primary you'd have to give her up as a supporting character, but it's accepted
@Avanhelsing - Kid Solomon - Solo (eventual Titan) - Gotham
@clanjos - Booster Gold - Solo/JLU Reserve - Metropolis/Time * Needs to trim the cast of 'Excellent Adventure', namely Bulleteer and Weeper since he's on my short list for Secondaries.

@MysteryBroom - I like the idea of a heroic Manta, especially if he's affiliated with the League. However an already accepted player character [Lizard] is the daughter of Killer Croc and he's off limits. With Manta being JLU affiliated, he should also be hanging around somewhere other than Gotham. I'd recommend Metropolis or perhaps Coast City, and rather than fighting against Croc use somebody like King Shark...

I'll get on it as soon as I can with Oracle. I assume I don't have to change anything about Huntress in the CS. I'll just keep it in mind for the IC.
@Omega Man I have taken silence as acquiescence and am working on a CS for Zachary Zatara. There's been mention of Zatanna, but is the original Zatara still alive in this universe?
