Am I to assume that the absence of any such word is to be interpreted as a 'no' so absolute that it wasn't even worth mentioning it?

I've actually been talking about your application with some close friends of mine who also run their own games and I've been writing with for a number of years.

I can see there's a lot of passion in your sheet and for the most part it's well-written, thought-out...but ultimately I have a lot of problems with it from top to bottom and I've been struggling to figure out a way to rectify the issues I have while still maintaining the vision of the character you've pitched rather than completely re-writing him.

If you have any other concepts you'd like to spin I would be more than happy to lend you my time and ear and lock-in on hashing out a sheet with you that you end up happy with and that I am happy to have in the game. The sheet you've given me isn't there for me unfortunately.

Also this. I took Monday/Tuesday off work and I'm on holiday from Sunday 20th until Monday 28th so I have a lot to do this week and 4 days to do it. Today is my only day with an evening free, every other night I'm not home until gone 11, and then it's just shower, eat, sleep, back to work.

Maybe it would have been better to just tell me straightforwardly that you have no time instead of repeatedly stating that you'd message me at day x or together with person y at day z as it has happened repeatedly while other activities in the RP have been kept going.

Anyway, what has happened can't be changed and there's no point in making any kind of debate out of it. I also try not to be that kind of annoying guy, but I'd like to ask for some kind of understanding that I started to suspect the possibility that I could have been left behind deliberately, for profound reasons or not.

At least I now know that, although there have been no details and no kind of discussion, that my character and the effort I've put into it are a complete train wreck. Given what you've said I assume that there's no point in even trying to salvage any aspect of it somehow.

I need to think about if I'll give this another try or just abandon the RP...

You're right. I could have handled this better, and I let my own priorities skew and ended up disappointing my players and prospective players and in the end, failing in my obligations as Game Master. I put off addressing your sheet in favour of other tasks, and that was wrong of me. I can only apologize, and hope that this doesn't colour your view of myself, this game, or the other players in it.

I like the 'magick deadzone' idea. I don't mind a blood mage, if done in the right way. I'm not even against the idea of a renegade splinter-group from the Barbed Church, which I think is what may have been going on in your bio. Retain some of those elements and recycle them into something we can build together from the ground up, or pitch a new character, or if I've (rightly) upset you - and I wouldn't be surprised - tell me to shove it right up my ass. All very viable responses.

(Like seriously, the guy dresses like one of Lowe's story book phantom thief hero's. They're cool, definitely, but he'd never thought he'd actually SEE a phantom thief in real life. The wolf was more realistic to achieve because forests and stuff, but like a Phantom thief? That, like, steals stuff stylishly? He thought those were made up until now. He'd have to tell his sisters he'd met an actual phantom thief when he got home. They probably wouldn't believe him though.)
