TUESDAY evening
...
Victoria kept close to her sister and raised her eye brow slightly at the situation they had found themselves in. It was a alittle bit of effort to explain they where banned, he could do that via email, but he seemed to have a reason why. She was a alittle wary of thr offer, people had wnated a little too much in return. If the price was too high. Well the price was too high.
Marinalia listioned to what was going on, and breathed a small sigh of relief when the manager called off the oversized ones next to them. After the last incidents and so, she had a more jumpy danger switch. Glancing about, well he did not seem to be outright threating them yet, so that was a plus. The smile did trip one of her warning bells though and was fairly careful what exactly she agreed to do. A ban was a small price. Plenty of clubs and vennues in the city. Gesturing to her smaller pale Raven haired sister partly, her accent was fairly reservered, clearly English, and clearly not trusting fully. "good evening Leo, Marinalia and my Sister Victoria.
That was a rather bad night's sleep I admit, security excellent, hospitality and breakfast less so. What kind of a game exactly? I've had a few rather bad experiences in this city.
So whats the terms of this game Leo?" Victoria was definitely glad Marlin had regained abit of her old self thanks to Xia, she always was the protective one of the pair. Victoria had a rather major issue if it involved drinks. She was not letting things run her life, just having to adapt those to fit her new situation she was in. Letting her Russain mix into the English, she really could not be bothered to keep it out, she could but tonight she really cared not. "zo no offer ov pizza work then? . Umm, I kinda cannot drink caffine or alcohol. Just bear zat in mind. " she hoped she did not have to state the obvious, the damned press had already done that one for her. Good old Rita and her best friend Siobhan had done a propper job there. Casting her cooler dark grey eyes about, she spotted a few fancy systems, they really had gone all out on security. Hopefully hr liked ninja turtles, otherwise they might as banned as shredder from the hideout!
Warming up a fraction, Victoria really was sharing her sisters somewhat distrust, and remembered a few faces Marcus and that girl. The bar man and woman ordering not. The manager from the night of the.... Well riot. The security seemed a alittle different than before perhaps? "vhat vou offering us? The rumours in the paper where true, that's vhy the no drinking. " she made it clear for the sake od his security whom she did not quite trust very much at all off the bat after last time, resting a hand on her stomach a second. Roughing her up or some fun they enjoyed some times would attract the wrong kind of attention, and she had bigger things to protect han herself alone. Her Russain bleeding into accent was a slight protective mesure, it hid her nerves quite well.
Both relaxed abit. But it was obvious both sister where pretty guarded, his saw quote had not helped them in that regard. If it was singing some stupid song, well it could be funny. They where trying to let lose abit and just enjoy a night out after the whole stress the media had caused them.
Time would tell what happened in club eather. Banned or not banned, the game was afoot.
Dusty working at Club Aether during one of the busiest nights of the month. Interacting with: Marcus, Leo, The Blonde Bombshell & The Sisters. @Zaxter996@CaptainSully@liferusher@PrinceAlexus
When the blonde came up to the bar, Dustynn gave her a friendly smile but let Marcus handle the order knowing that he was still learning and more experience was a better thing for him to deal with than her just taking over every order. A man came up to the bar begging for several shots and Dustynn took care of it as the bar buzzed around them. The karaoke would start not too long from now and since doing it the other night Dustynn was excited to try it again. She had been thinking of a song since earlier that day. "Both are delicious! I really recommend the Mojito, it's to die for." Dusty added in to the end of the conversation as encouragement to the new woman.
Soon the security had brought two women over, as Dusty raised her eyebrow and looked over them. She had recognized them around town and in various media, the rich girls of town- something the woman herself could not begin to comprehend. She recalled when Leo and her had gone over the tapes that night, when they had missed the riot. As Leo handled things Dustynn couldn't help but laugh as her manager's antics. He would have them do something to get a good laugh, but never put anyone in harms way- it wasn't in his nature. "We still need the bathrooms painted!" she suggested not in a serious matter, but it wasn't wrong.
Shaking her head she turned back to the other end of the bar as she took an order from another patron.
As the sisters introduced themselves the sound of Dustynn's voice from the bar floated over. "We still need the bathrooms painted!" Leo let out a loud laugh before responding to the idea. "Baby that is nowhere near suitable enough." He knew the general idea of what he was going to get them to do but he just couldn't decide on the finite details. It was then he latched onto the clearly Russian accent of the one sister. A most evil grin lit up his face as he turned back towards the sisters, "...oh yes...I have it now. If you two would be as kind to follow me we'll see just how sorry you are."
Leo turned to Dustynn and winked, his mischievous smile still clearly on show. He gestured to the sisters with his hand to follow him as he made his way towards the stage. As he moved past the tables and onto the dance floor he began to move his way through the crowd of people that had started to gather. Fifty percent off booze and it doesn't matter what day it is, people will turn up. As he used his arms to weave through the crowd he spotted a few regulars reaching out for drunken high fives and free hugs. Leo was very much a supporter of free hugs, even when they were from people twelve beers in by early evening.
He eventually reached the stage and leapt up on it with a grace that betrayed his current state of sobriety. The rather heavy music blaring out over the sound system soon faded, the crowd erupting into cheers and they saw Leo on the stage. As the owner looked out over his patrons he gestured with his hand in a wave. He tried to speak but the cheers continued. Looking down at his watch sarcastically he cast a glance back up with his smile across his face. Soon enough the cheers stopped and Leo began to speak.
"So how many you are enjoying the cheap as shit beer?" The crowd all raised their plastic glasses into the air, almost all avoiding the total catastrophe of throwing their drink up into the air. "I see some regular faces and some not so regular...i'm looking at you Trent." Leo pointed down to one of the crowd he knew as someone who visited the bar weekly without fail. "That's a face only a mother could love." Leo smiled at him and carried on. "So for those of you who haven't been in here before, tonight is going to be one of our infamous karaoke nights. Unfortunately we have to do things the old way with the projector and recorded tracks as our resident band don't usually play on a Tuesday. However...tonight I have such a good treat for you to get us started."
Leo cast a glance down at the two sisters and his smile turned menacing once more. "Travelling all the way from Russia...their first US appearance since the 90's to sing one of their most famous tracks...I bring you...t.A.T.u!" Leo gestured to the girls with his hand as the crowd let out a rapturous mix of applause and laughter. Waiting for the sisters to get onto the stage Leo approached the DJ and grabbed two microphones. He leant over to the DJ laughing and spoke, "One hundred percent needs to be All The Things She Said." He turned with his smile still on his face, ready to hand out the microphones.
When she was standing off and alone she spotted the bartender looking at her occasionally, it was not the first time she would get attention like this. She chose to ignore it and just enjoy the time on her own. It was not long before someone tried to approach her. Joy glanced at the man thinking on why he would approach her, he did not really seem her age so perhaps just simply some chatting? Before anything like that could happen she was taken by surprise when some other girl distracted the man. Who was she suppose to be?
From what Joy heard from the girl the man between them was the manager and the two girls had been stopped to enter this club. The manager told the two they were banned, well off course you would try to get around that to get back in. She didn't need to know much more and paid attention to her own business instead. When her drink was finished she stepped back to the bar again and asked the bartender what he would recommend.
Joy had definitly taken notice in his somewhat change in behavior, Marcus did look cheerfuller then before, she didn't know if it was from the other bartender returning or that his brain had burnt trough but at least he was still able to pour her drinks. Joy her frown deepens when she was thinking about why he was so happy, it did make her seem even more annoyed then before. Pale Ale and Watermelon Mojito, Pale Ale... She never had any before but it didn't really felt like it would fit her to drink something like that. A watermelon mojito on the other hand. Mojito's never really were her thing but the watermelon did make it sound quite good. Joy pondered for a bit but was quickly completely set on the mojito when the bar lady told her too as well.
"Okay, I'll have the watermelon Mojito. You two can get a drink for yourself as well I suppose."
Joy got some money from her bag again as she patiently waited for her drink. Joy gazed at Marcus when he was making her drink, it was quite fun to watch yet she moved no muscle in her face except that she blinked off course. A few moments later her attention was taken elsewhere when Dustynn laughed at the two while telling them a job they could be doing in the bathroom. Off course that was gonna be fun on a party night, to be painting bathrooms. Joy let out a quite gniffel as the corner of her mouth lifted up just slightly.
The next thing the manager said could be interpreted in a different way but that was most likely just Joy her thought about it. The two of them were taken up to the stage out of sight of Joy, she was short after all and when they weren't on the stage she wouldn't be able to see them between the crowd. She waited till her drink was done and simply stood somewhere close to the two bartenders at the bar.
It wasn't untill the announcement through the microphone that Joy turned herself to the stage again. It started off with a rather rude call to the crowd. Well it didn't appear that the crowd wasn't used to this. Tonight was gonna be a karaoke night, alright, that sounded pretty fun, at least better then this metal stuff. Leo went on about having a good treat tonight? What was he on about? People from Russia? What? Joy was confused. t.A.T.u? What the hell, they weren't here right now right? Why would they be playing in a small club. Wait didn't they disband a while ago?
When the two girls that were banned suddenly got up on stage she shook her head and sighed. Was this their punishment... Okay the manager was pretty chill. At least he gave them a fun punishment. Joy would never go up on stage to sing. She would be too embarrassed and people would probably boo at her.
"Painting the bathroom doesn't sound so bad anymore for them."
Marinalia Romus Olympus "Mali" & Victoria Darya Romus "Vika"
Pit to Club Eather and Run District . Tuesday Evening . Sol city mixed locations .
TUESDAY evening
...
Marinalia and Victoria where both looking at each other nervously but also somewhat giving each other a little glint in there eyes of mischief. They relised it was a pefornemece of some kind, he was going to try and embarrass them... His choice of song or decision wwould decide if they walked out never to return though. Not that thry both saw the grin and decided he needed it turning around though.
Leo helped them make ot though the crowd, Victoria was tiny and well, at the momment she had been back on her cane more as a safety messure than reliance. She yet trusted herself fully. Marinalia had a arm round her sister and nudged a few people out the way with a prompt tap of a low heal. Sully seemed to take his ability to force though like a magical skill they did not have. Ernough time to quickly agree they wnated to try and have a alittle fun and hopefully turn the joke round, even if they still got banned, fuck it. Have fun doing it. The last time that earned them a ban it was far less fun.
Both cast a glance back at the bar, and the people there. The two women one recognised, one not. The blonde was kinda nervous maybe... Or just quiet. The pink hair bar lady, really wnated out of painting?
Both held back as he worked up the crowd waiting in the wings and left there coats on the side, Victoria, s dress glittering away would leat look showy, and Marinalia, was well, she looked good tonight. Xia might wonder what woman was on stage, or relise how much Xia had helped Marlin recover her self confidence.
"Come on, do you trust me... Utterly. Remember that night in London, Morgan's birthday?" Victoria gave her a small nod as they left there coats off to the side they where for later. The place was not that cold. They would have to ask for video if he was not hating them! " I remember hearing you two though that wall... Jeez. Oh yeah. Why you have to ask... I remember that one. You lead Mali. She used to play Tatu so dman much... I know the words without prompts. " Giving a small smile and not breaking accent, it had got them into a mess, well it would get them into a fun spot too...maybe. "London. Let's knock his socks off... " Marinalia gave a glance that betrayed alittle of her old self, more fun, cheeky and the side of her Xia was slowly eeking out of her.
Heading up, they have Leo a smile that belied there little plan, both would try to have some fun. Stepping up, Marinalia gave a small wave to the crowd and tried to ignore the wolf whistles and cried comments. It really was a strange crowd here. The rather attractive Blonde and her Raven haired sister with contrasting skin like porcilin or Alabastor.
Victoria was a alittle more quiet, though as Ethan knew, tame was not what the Romus Sisters where, at least in private. Victoria present condition made that clear. Opening up Marinalia gave the a crowd a small smile before opening up with a softer English singing voice, though it carried thanks to the mic. "All the things she said All the things she said Running through my head"
Victoria then threw in her little suprise, performing her part in a very close original Russain version of the song. Well it certainly suprised people abit. She was not sure how well they took it but was having fun throwing everyone for a loop. She put quite abit in ot, remembering a few fun times in Moscow a few years prior. People forgot there was a original version! A little off key, but for all the stupidity once she lost herself in the song, well she rather was having fun. Both forgot the press there, who did notice said sisters where not exactly keeping the low profile they wnated.
Mid way the two had managed to get a small sing along, least the most drunk people joined in and helped nudge them on abit, Marinala especially was nervous, Paige was right she was a ball of nerves at times but had her moments. Victoria was less confident but also had it at the same time. Crowds just where not her thing.
The finale was planned, well they failed a alittle to keep a sing along going, the crowd needed more booze or they lacked the ability to quite work the crowd completely like others. Not perfect but thry both would definitely had a good laugh after whatever happened. OK... So ending. Timing the song, Victoria knew it alot better than her so gave a small nudge at right timing, the lean in made a small cheer expecting the videos kiss, bit alas. Sisters... Leo got them on stage, not getting a lesbian snog fest for extra press.
Breaking and turning to leave, they merely gave the crowd a little jab at Leo, he did earn it. Nothing major, ernough to makw them feel better for the stunt anyway. He probbly would easily turn it into his advantage anyway. "Sorry Boys, and maybe Girls... Leo here forgot to invite My girlfriend, and her boyfriend had ernough ideas! so you know the rest anyway!
Night ladies and gentlemen! Maybe our host would enjoy a turn!
Oh and love you cutey " both blowing a kiss to the crowd before vanishing back to find there coats, the bar was warm... But not that warm! Especially Victoria whose dress was not exactly ideal for winter alone. Adding the end on jokiky, they Marinalia post Xia was a different person, and she had to laugh at the wolf whistles. She was not about to shout her name but hey, it gave the crowd a distraction to escape before they demanded a second.
Both where smiling and rather enjoyed it, for all the stupidity, problems, or was least a adventure and the whole nerves had died down after a slower start and soon they had just decided that of the last time they did here, go out with a bang. Reaching Leo they did not know what to expect, just merely looked after each other and both dawned on the pefornothry just pulled off needing to lean back against the wall abit. That really was not normal for them and the nerves that had been hidden finally hit again. They did not like crowds, Victoria especially, however much they could appear the opposite. "So, ve did as you vanted, my freind loved the original, I now it off by heart practically. I think zey did not know that one. Excuse me... " leaning heavier on her stick calming as nerves went by, breathing slowly to centre self. She did not bother masking anything and merely just embraced her Russain side tonight. "Tatu... You really know how to pick em. Relax Vika, one at a time. One at a time Victoria.
Made up your choice? Just.. Think that was ernough for Vika, crowds... Not a friend. A ambulance would not be good for any of us. " Victoria tried to hide it. And did it quite well, though that crowd of drinks was somthing else. Being smaller, and less steady she always had a healthy view of crowds, drunk ones even more. She merely apecepted a calming influence from Marinalia who was internally face palming that waht Rita might makw of them, bar some endangerment or so. Victoria fired off a quick message to Ethan too, just incase.
Hey Ethan.
Before you get...worried. And if see our night out in some tawdy gossip mongers hands. Its a long story for a Lunch. Not touched a drop since you suspected. Mali would never let me even if I T wnated to try! Just a few moxktails, no caffine either. There's no risk, bar me needing a long lie on tommrow!
Have fun, we fine. All 3 of us! Just having some fun. You said I had to face my fear of press at some point. Vika XX
Marinalia sent Xia a quick message, but she was more distracted by both herself and her sister to react as much.
Hey cutie.
Umm... No quiet night... Barred from Aether, ended up doing Tatu karioke duet with Vika, kinda fun! Might be back in...
Night crazy as always! Most fun I've had in a while!
Your English Muffin :) Mali x
Smiling, she hit send quickly while Leo was distracted by the crowd, hey least the boos where fairly minimal, the cheers took a alittle to build though. They where hardly the charisma that Ethan could bring to the stage somehow. They did there best though and wondered that the bar had thought of there peformence a alittle..
Joseph wasn't sure why he stumbled towards Club Aether that day. Maybe it was the fact that he'd heard something about everything being half price, and hoped against hopes that the place sold food. Probably that, actually, he'd been living off fish he'd managed to catch for the last two months, and it was beginning to get a little old.
It also had the only somewhat pleasant side effect of attracting the local... 'wildlife'...
As if it had heard his thoughts and taken it as a cue, the tabby kitten that had been following him around ever since he started fishing for survival decided this would be the perfect time to dig it's claws into his legs and climb up to his shoulder, hence why what would have been an at least somewhat dignified entrance ended with him nearly tripping in the door frame.
"Why..." He said with a wince of pain, turning to glare at the tiny cat. In response, the manipulative little bastard licked his cheek, and even though he knew it was just trying to get any leftover fish taste from a week ago, he couldn't bring himself to stay angry.
Instead, he settled with sighing and making his way to the bar, pulling seventy dollars worth of five and ten dollar notes.
"Hey man..." He said, his voice weary. "I know you probably don't serve food here, but do you have any... I don't know, snacks or anything? As seems to be the trend lately, I'm pretty sure I'm kinda starving to death at the mome-..."
At that very moment, a particularly loud growl of his stomach signaled the coming disaster, and he wound up sliding down the side of the bar and collapsing. Thankfully, the kitten managed to jump onto the bar as soon as he felt Joseph begin to tilt in place, before jumping down onto the floor to continue licking fish flavour from his cheeks.
"It's ok." Joseph called tiredly from the ground, although it was slightly muffled due to him having landed almost fully face down. "I'm not dead, just close. I don't need an ambulance, just food."
His eyes flicked to the kitten.
"Hey Jiji," he grumbled. "you do realise that if I'm hungry enough to collapse, I probably don't have anything for you, right?"
At some point in the night Paige had finally fallen asleep. She didn’t remember what time, just that it was pretty late. Her eyes blinked open to the quiet hum of night traffic outside and the dim shadows of Milo’s living room. The air in the room was cool with a slight chill. He was always trying to save money and wouldn’t run the heat pump while there was still a fire in the shop. She stared ahead for a moment and shifted a little under the heavy blanket he’d thrown over her for the night. His worn leather sofa was well broken-in and felt like it was about ten feet deep. She didn’t want to get up. It could have only been a few hours, but it felt like days and her thoughts were drunk with sleep. Her phone blinked with new messages on the coffee table in front of her, but she didn’t want to break the comfort or the warmth to reach for it.
Images and feelings wandered drowsily as she continued to look ahead into the darkness. What if we just stayed here? A voice questioned from the silence in the back of her mind. I’m not staying in this shit hole a minute longer than I have to. Another familiar voice cut-in firmly. You will for him. The argument started. She listened to the slow rhythm of her breaths as the mental chorus began to wake up with her: Ana is coming here… Her brow furrowed slightly at the thought. I’m not thinking about that right now. The conversation intensified behind her eyes, but the main subject remained all the same despite the noise. He still loves her and you know it… He would have dumped you for that sickly cripple.
“Shut up.” She whispered harshly to herself.
You’ll always just be a bridesmaid, Paige.
“I’ll fucking kill all of them.” She growled.
Sure you will.
“And I’ll make it look like someone else did it.” She could feel her heartbeat accelerating slightly.
That’s how we do it.
Paige tossed the blanket aside with a start letting the cool air of the room wash over her. Rotating up into a sitting position, her bare feet hit the cold hardwood floor and she wiped her hands over her face feeling her hair falling over her exposed shoulder before pausing for a moment and inhaling deeply. Letting the breath back out and dropping her hands away left her mind clear and back to silence. She shook her head first glancing over towards Milo’s room then at the notification light on her phone still blinking steadily.
Offers? Not anything serious. People want the business bad, but they've all been kicked to the curb. You should come out tonight, I'm serving all night and I can get you a better deal than the 2 for 1's ;)
A part of her was tempted. Club Aether would be open for a few more hours and a drink didn’t sound like too bad of an idea, but she knew she couldn’t and carefully considered her words as she typed a text back to Dustynn. She hoped the girl was still deleting them like she told her:
Do me a favor… and I know this sounds strange, I know you’re close to your boss, but DON’T open up the Club this Friday. Please, just trust me. After this week, I’ll be able to take you up on those drinks.
The next was a text from Marlin. She didn’t particularly want to involve her, but the extra helicopter would be useful if things got out of hand and she needed to move around the city quickly:
Ok, that sounds good, don’t worry about the paperwork. Draw up a flight plan for Catalina Island from downtown, but don’t file it yet.
Finally, she had an odd premonition about Siobhan. The redhead was tending to keep some of the same bizarre hours as her slightly uncouth boyfriend, but he seemed to make her happy and she couldn’t say too much as Milo wasn’t exactly traditional either. A slight smile crept across her lips as she typed out a text:
Marinalia Romus Olympus "Mali" & Victoria Darya Romus "Vika"
Pit to Club Eather and Run District . Tuesday Evening . Sol city mixed locations .
TUESDAY evening
...
Victoria was waiting for Leo to reply when she saw someone she recognised and gave a wave to the person who had helped her a long time ago. Well the club night and the hoody felt a long time ago now. It was rather the journey the sisters had over the past few months. A very strange one it seemed but it was going to get stranger over the next few months and beyond. Her life really was going to get turned around a few dozen times.
Joseph, well it seemed he acquired a kitten along the way, though did not look quite like his circumstances had changed as much as hers. A few things remained the same though snow girl, or Elsa had now gained Raven black, Blue fading purple highlights, a little more colour in her skin. "Hey, I've changed a alittle bit since a bad night. Still not forgotten I owe you a favour.
Princess Elsa changed abit... " cheerfully calling over, Victoria could not drop the Russian tinge, well she had started it now, and felt a fraction more stable than leaving against a wall abit. Still leaning on the stick, she really hated feeling weak but least she was better than before to. A small blessing.
Marinalia saw the woman sat by the bar, a alittle out the way not wanting much attention maybe? Giving a passing wave, she seemed to have taken a intrest in Thete little peformence, and we'll, yes it was not sure how it ended however after the nerves, trouble and so had settled... Well they would laugh about it either way.
She did look pretty, though that raised a odd point, but she also was comfortablely taken so less awkward. Marinalia and awkward situations where friends and practically lovers at this point.
Though from her bag, she saw a text from Paige of all people. She has not quite expected a quick reply but hey, Paige seemed to be in need, hopefully it was a pleasure flight. But with her past reputation, that really was unlikely. Tapping a quick reply. Catalina, that's easy ernough. The island is barely used and visited , plenty of spots to land, il sort out a radio etc for pick up. Cell signal and others can be dodgy out there.
Can do. Let me know nearer when I can.
MRO
Marinala was Suprised, the island was a old air station, pretty empty and emergency runway, of Paige wnated to go Thete, sure. Strange as it was, well who was she reallt to judge anyone for strange. Plus with her father. Family. Joel was probbly right at times, half the family where a little strange but they where family and family stuck together regardless. Troublesome as it had caused, well the family stuck together completely.
She did not reconise Joseph much, well maybe. That night was a tad hazwy thanks to Bob. Thankfully he was behind bars. Had Paige been behind it... She was tempted to ask then other things distracted her mind. She did not wnay to really linger on that evening.
Siobhan gasps and squirms away from the pinch. “Ow!!! Barbarian!!” Siobhan rubbed the stinging area and punched Joel in the chest lightly but solidly. “Let’s get this over with.” Siobhan turned and rolled her shoulders then grabbed Joel’s hand. Looking back at Joel with a smirk she gently pulled him along. Well not really he knew where they were going better than she did but he seemed to let her take charge.
Sometimes I wonder if I move him. Maybe Jamaica will be different. I just wanna see where the end of his patience is. What I wouldn’t give for a hint of “If you don’t quit I’ll make you desert.” A look or something along those lines...HA Let’s face it you wouldn’t know that look even if you got it one of these times. Besides he wouldn’t appreciate being pushed.
Side tracked by thoughts of Joel’s never ending patience with her. Siobhan didn’t notice that Bradley walked right up to them and said hello. Siobhan’s stomach dropped and fire replaced it. Siobhan’s eyes sparked with fire. “Beat it douche. My boyfriend and I are here to enjoy a few races and you’re over inflated ego is in my way.”
Bradley smiled maliciously and Siobhan’s spine straightened more. “See sweetheart this is what got you in trouble in the first place. That pretty mouth of yours.” He turned to Joel and smirked. “Besides men are talking you should be quiet. After all you’re just a piece of ass, and right now I’m gonna convince him he doesn’t want you or need you.”
Siobhan let got of Joel’s hand and pushed Bradley hard. “Well this ‘piece’ can kick you to the curb. We’re done. No race is worth you stalking me. Oh and don’t try to deny it I have several recordings and pictures. Feel lucky I decided that I didn’t need to get the police involved. Afterall you can’t be that stupid. It’ll ruin you and your whole family. Daddy won’t get elected Mayor, or in turn Governor. So yeah don’t mess with me. Drop it and move on.”
Tuesday Evening - Image Cinema (At the Haven Square Mall)
Not long after speaking to her sweet little crumpet, Xia headed off with Carlo to at least for the first time since he's been here, hang out with him. Carlo mentioned that 4 of his homies were coming to the theater that tonight so...well...Xia would get to meet her cousin's associates. They took the bus to Haven Square Mall to meet with the others while Xia wondered what her girlfriend was dealing with. Hopefully it wasn't anything crazy but...well she had to admit, drama seems to follow her girl around like flies on shit.
As they got the the cinema, Xia could help but to chuckle when hearing what kind of movie they were going to see. Some crime drama movie called Goonz-R-Us. It was whatever...she was just hanging around for the sake of chilling out with her cousin since he's actually trying to do a little better for himself. She was giving him chance this time since he apologized about how he was with her in the past.
The movie was...well low budget and a little lame with the story telling and the acting but hey, this stuff was what her cousin was into. She paid a little attention to the movie until her girlfriend texted her again. This was a relief from the F bombs that were dropping int he movie and texted Marlin back.
Hey babes!! Sounds like you're enjoying yourself as long as there's no fighting happening. I'm just here watching this Goonz-R-Us movie. It's lame but my cousin and friends are enjoying it. Afterwards, they may go out for drink but who knows...may just get some ice cream and head back home. If you need me, you know all you have to do is call me. Again, have fun babe! Mwuah!
Tropilicious <3
After they left from the movies, the others decided they were going clubbing but Carlo was going to meet with his girlfriend. In fact, Carlo was going to have her come to meet with them. So far the night was okay. Xia was checking her phone once more thinking about the shopping she and Marlin did for their upcoming trip to Jamaica. She would invite Carlo but this was suppose to be a private vacation.
Not long after, Xia texted Marlin back again.
Hey babes, Carlo and I are headed back to my place to have ice cream. let me know if you wanna chill after you're done on your end.
Caroline leaned back in the office chair as she began to lightly spin and look up at the ceiling. She let out a sizable exhale as she said, “Okay Caroline, just remember this is for the good of the station.” Caroline stopped spinning in her chair and closed her eyes as she once again said, “Good of the station” three more times. Caroline then opened her eyes and let out an exhale as she said, “Yeah and if I keep repeating that over and over, I just might believe it.” Caroline shook her head and said, “I can’t do it.” She pulled out her cell phone and pressed the screen twice. Brushing back her red hair Caroline put the phone to her ear and waited.
When she heard a voice on the other end say, “Hey Caroline” she replied, “Hey Bob-O I think you know why I’m calling.” Caroline was talking to her Program Director Bob O’Connor who said, “Yeah I do and yes you have to do it Caroline. They are paying us a boatload of cash and they paid extra to get you to do it on-air.” Caroline replied, “Come on Bob-O this. This is just wrong it doesn’t work for us at all.” Caroline shook her head and said, “It feels wrong on so many levels.” Bob replied, “Look Caroline it’s only once a shift for a month. You can do this besides if anyone can make this work it’s you.” There was a pause for a moment and Bob said, “Look take care of this for me and I will put in a good word with Mrs. Popkin about you getting your two weeks off for Memorial Day.” Vacation time at the station during the holidays was more precious than gold for the on-air staff. Caroline had put in for the time in January and there was still no promise that she was getting the time off. Caroline had promised her family that she would be home in time for her dad's birthday . It would be the first time she had seen any of them in over two years and Caroline missed them more than she would admit. She took a deep breath and replied, “Done but if I don’t get my two weeks Hell will hath no fury like a Caroline scorned.” Bob said, “Noted, good luck and talk to you later C-Daws.”
Hanging up her phone Caroline looked at the clock, and she could hear the notes of Bon Jovi’s “Wanted Dead or Alive” begin to fade out. Caroline said, “My family is so lucky that I love them.” Caroline sat up straight in the chair, and Caroline activated her mic and said, “Bon Jovi on the Bull with their 1988 hit 'Wanted Dead or Alive.' It’s a Tuesday night Sol City Caroline Macmillan with you and speaking of being dead if you have thought about your death or a loved one’s death you need to think about the Funeral.” Caroline then read the copy for a “Ferryman’s Fine Funeral Home” and as she read it Caroline could feel her skin crawl.
Once she finished it Caroline touched the screen twice as The Police’s hit “Every breath you take” started to fill the air. Caroline closed her mic and shuddered as she said with her eyes closed, “I love my family, I love my family, I love my family.” Her phone rang, and Caroline saw that Bob-O was calling. Caroline answered, “Please tell me that didn’t sound as revulsive to you as it did to me.” Bob replied, “No it was worse. You win I'll admit it you were right I was wrong the spot doesn’t work for us at all. I’ll talk to the sales department tomorrow about cancelling the contract.” Caroline smiled as she said, “Thanks Bob-O, does this mean you’re not going to talk to Mrs. Popkin about my vacation time.” Caroline could almost hear Bob smile as he replied, “Pack your bags C-Daws you’re going home. I will move Heaven and Earth for you on this one you have my word on it.” Caroline said, “Thanks Bob-O.” Bob replied, “You got it kid have a good rest of your shift.”
Caroline hung up as she stood up and began to dance around the studio saying in a loud sing-song voice over and over, “I’m going home!”
Joel basically tuned out both of them as soon as they started arguing back and forth like teenagers in an after-school special. The night air was cold and with his healthy disdain for cold weather, he could think of several things he could have been doing instead of mediating rich-kid drama. Still, Siobhan’s aptly curved backside did look exceptional in the jeans she chose to wear out and he had a few ideas about that as well. As they continued to bicker, he yawned and looked back over at Bradley’s car. If he truly came from money, it was definitely an odd choice, Joel was more expecting some computer tuned Lambo or Porsche, but the Z28 was still a smart decision if all he was interested in was going fast in a straight line and blending in with the crowd. Just like with Sio’s Corvette, the parts were plentiful and it didn’t take a very large investment to get under a ten-second quarter mile. Even having been out of the game for a while, Joel felt fairly confident he could get the younger guy to spill on what he was running.
“Who rolled your fenders?” Joel asked quizzically.
Bradley seemed partly surprised by the question and the complete change in subject. “Oh, I have a guy on the northside…”
“Near the airport.” Joel said, completing the sentence for him. “Yeah, I know him, he does good work.” He let go of Sio’s hand and casually strolled over to the car knowing Bradley had already given away the farm, everything else was going to be gravy. He stooped down to examine the body work, confirming that it was indeed the same person. “I built a Fox Body for a guy a while back with a tubbed rear-end and had him roll the quarters on it.” The unmistakable aroma of traction juice wafted out from under the frame around the tires, a scent something like Cherry Dr. Pepper and menthol. “You running pump-gas in this?” It was a bullshit question.
“Hey now, I can’t be givin’ away all my secrets.” Bradley smirked.
Joel chuckled a bit, “Yea, i know the game. You don’t have to tell me.” He stood back up and feigned a glance at the hood again, but it was too dark to see the interior and he was curious if it had a roll cage and what kind of shifter was equipped. Somewhere in the crowd a loud bass system started booming and Joel waited before he continued: “The tach on the hood is a nice touch though, I wish I had thought of that one. I might steal that from you.” He said glancing back with a slight smile and then looking at Siobhan only just for a split-second to see if she was picking up on what he was doing.
“You know, my dad had a Chevelle back in the day with one.” Bradley said. There was a measure of respect in his voice which seemed to lend to what Siobhan had said about the father. “He gave me the idea, I haven’t seen anyone else with it.”
“Neither have I,” Joel replied. Sio was now the furthest thing from Bradley’s mind. People who had nice cars liked to talk about cars and Joel had done it for years as he worked in his shop and random people from Southside stopped by to chit-chat at all hours. It became very easy to steer a conversation even while he was busily working. Joel crossed his arms and looked the car over once more, standing next to it like it belonged to him rather than Bradley. “So let me explain something... to both of you.” He said. There was finality in his tone and a certain measure of authority, something he rarely did, but in the setting, he knew neither of them were even close to his level. “I don’t care what kind of bets or arrangements you had before this and I don’t care who’s daddy’s running for governor, mayor, dog-catcher or whatever, I’ve worked too hard to be putting up with this goddamn bullshit so this is what we’re gonna do...” He paused for a moment taking in the surprise across both their faces. “I’ll be done with her car in another week or so, if you want to race after that then by all means and if not then that’s fine too, but either way, that’s the end of it and not another word gets said about it. We all on the same page?”

TUESDAY evening
...
Marinalia was feeling cheerful, she had a beuterful girlfriend and a fun night hopefully, well she definitely would mind a repeat of there earlier evening even if she had to leave early the following morning to go home to change. Ice cream, and we'll a alittle fun after. She needed a few happy things in life.
Sure the club drama was making her , well it was plain strange. She had no idea what to do about that, Victoria might join her later for icre cream, Victoria had started getting a few odd moments. Her breakfast choice that morning was creative to say the least.
Turning to Sully, she quickly typed a message part whole talking, it was not challenge to multi task as a pilot and a woman!
Hey cutie :)
Get the ice cream ready, maybe save some for Vika, she might pop by to day hi. I have work, but.... ;) if you Don t mind a early morning wake up.
Mali X
Smiling and hitting send as she waited. Well Sully, she had a appointment far more to her liking than some of the other options tonight. She did not mean offence, but if it was a choice between kariokiee, and her girlfriend... Girlfriend won! "Sorry Sully, seems I have a date to make, so can you let my sister know and so what you decided. Half sister, my surnames not lannister, so 95% Acuracy have to do.
Between you, or my Girlfriend, I'm a alittle biased. Have fun, and good luck.
Have a good evening, Vika, see you there if your coming! You know the address. " Heading out, Marinalia ignored the oversized security, she had lived up to her side of the bargain, no kiss, but jeez, her half sister. It was not game of thrones.
Finaly making the exit, past the barriers and so, it was easy to hail a ride and make thr shortosh trip to Xia's apartment. On the journey back she was cheerfully singing along to the radio, tuned to some station locally, wait yes she had hered it when someone else was flying her bird and tuned the radio off her favourite. This Dawson was a fun one though and made a silly call to station asking for a song. Her clear british accent, was well, it stood out in the American city. "Heyyooo anyone can play Tatu... I fancy if after impromptu kariokee" laughing, well despite it all, it had been fun, she had to admit the detour to Eather had been a adventure. Her call would lielly be ignored, but hey, worth and try and she was tipsy, had a phone and a cute accent.
Heading up, she had a free e so was careful on the stairs and dropped next to her on the sofa, kicked off her long boots and stretched her legs out to be more comfortable greeting her with a slightly tipsy kiss. A alittle gigley, she was resting her legs over Xia's and had a puppy dog look about ice cream. "Hello Cutie, ice cream was almost as tempting as you... Almost.
Oh, hey, I'm Marinalia, Xia's girlfriend, or Marlin of its easier. " Meeting Caelo again, was a alittle diffrent and so. His previous comments sti had her on guard abit as she leaned against Xia with bowl of ice cream with marshemmlows. He made her a alittle unsure, was he the same one, Xia would be the better judge, his Girlfriend seemed, polite ernough, for a first meeting. Carlo, for all his being abit of jerk at times, did have good taste, she was attractive though if inside or out was unknown. "so, enjoy the film? Personally I'm a Disney girl.
Kind of ended up impromptu Tatu katiokee, Club eather manager is... Curious. The security though seem like someone rounded up a wrestling roster. "
That would definitely be a odd night, it already odd, so why fight it at this point. Drama, oddities and strange, days seemed to be the sisters best friend, lover and family all rolled in one! Just roll with rhe punchs and keep going. Sol city sadly had a few too many of those.
Thinking back, well, a few where there fault, but Blood was alot thicker than water and thr family where pretty shameless in that fact. Trouble or not, well the sisters where sisters and had the others back.
Marinalia had a few cocktails and so though and had the tendency to be affectionate under the influence, even with present company, well she was feeling abit silly and giggly from the adrenaline of katiokee still present, alcohol and sugar.
...
Victoria glanced over and recognised Joseph, he looked... Well how did he get a kitten for one, and was the guy always colpasing on to a bar as much as they caused trouble or had trouble in one? Calling over to the bar, well she had to help the one who helped her that night. She never had a chance to repay him. "Hey... Can vou get my friend some food... On me.
Vis, is strangely familiar. " her Russain accent clear, well she had started with the it this evening, and would be strange if she dropped it now. Thr edge that forced it was gone, still needing a alittle to balence her thoughts. She felt safe making her own way home or so though. Marinalia would not have left her otherwise. Though he might be rather Suprised at the events that impacted her, Victoria had a wild few weeks.
It only was a quick ride home of too late. Too late being Marinalia having her fun... Not that she could deny her sister a good relationship after everytuong... And her own actions to help that drama...
...
Back in England, alot of preparations where abound. Maria was busy, Vesarian had some time off and was caught into the preparations by his fiance! Maria was happy though, Marla was expecting, Victoria, Marinalia and Xia, it was a rather strange time for the Romus Family.
Maxamillion was back in his office, leaning back he had a strange collection of things... Racing, models of ships they had built and many more things he collected over a long life. A collection of photos, well he had great grandchildren coming it seemed.
He was still a old fashioned guy, however high tech and wnated to hand write his reply, on headed pages, thick paper and embossed, well it was a old fashioned luxury he could easily afford. The photo was nice, he remembered that day and attached a simple post it note to have it framed when possible.
Dear Mr Nicolsi
I'm Suprised and glad to read your reply, I have too many trinkets and too few family who appreciate them. I'm glad it's with someone who appreciates more than it's financial value.
Take it from a old ametour racer and remember to quit when your ahead and all your limbs work. Too many have tried for old glory and paid the price. Oh and I hear you might be with a attractive red head, suffice to say. Alot better on a cold night than a race car if you Don, t mind me saying. You n, t worry, I'm not as partisan as my daughters, but expect a mother always to side with there child, especially with there creed. They are loyal to a fault, and them some beyond to blood.
Advice. All I can say is live, enjoy it, and make most while your young and able. I should say to be sensible but we both know once it's in your blood. That itch will always remain there waiting to be sated. Just know when your edge is dulled. There's a certain circuit in Wales I belive I have a certain 50 year old single malt that would be a excellent toast to your victory there. Just Don, t tell my two doctor daughters that one.
Maybe we can see if you can handle a old fashioned bentley sports V8. No tricks. Just a big engine and a driver if you have time.
I am well, with the wedding, expecting family and a Navy contract biting after me, it's nice to have somthing as simple as a letter to reply to.
Yours faithfully Maxamillion Olympus.
Enclosing a small item, it was nothing major and a copy of a picture. The car would be considered a death trap by Joels standars, him as a younger man in a leather jacket and a flat cap of all things to race in leaning against a black and white Bentley sports, aggressive exhaust lining thr engine bay like a fighter plane and no roll cage of any kind. Just a low windscreen of thin metal and glass.
Both shared a passion though it was Joel who had the opertunity he never had, well that and he had more important things like his wife's first pregnancy, children and more to take him from the steering wheel to the desk behind the pitlane.
”I’m all set! Thanks for your help today. Appreciate it!”
Josephine waved goodbye to a muscular man who was currently climbing into the driver's seat of a moving truck, now empty. She held a smile plastered on her face until he began to pull away from the curb, the feigned happiness disintegrating immediately.
Slowly, she closed the door to her newly leased condo. Closing her eyes, she pressed her back against the door and took in a deep breath. She held it for a brief moment before letting out a deep sigh and opening her icy blues once again. Standing there against the door, she took in the room for what seemed like the first time. She had been here since 5am, moving in, but she had been running on autopilot. Get shit done. Feel later.
Unfortunately, “later” was now. Finally alone in her new condo, she felt the weight of the world settle snugly atop of her shoulders once again. Everything still felt so surreal and the past seven days had been a complete blur. Exactly one week ago, almost to the hour, her and her boyfriend had gotten into another argument and he drove a kitchen knife into her right forearm. She could still see it in her mind's eye so vividly. The anger in his eyes, the red hot flash of pain in her arm before adrenaline numbed her out, and the way her heart pounded as he raised the knife again as if he was about to take another stab at her. She had bolted into their room before he had the chance, slamming the door and locking it quickly behind her. They had a bathroom connected to their bedroom, where she went to tend to her arm while he screamed at her from the other room. It bled and hurt like hell, but luckily it didn’t seem that he had hit anything too important. The bleeding stopped eventually and she dressed her wound with some left over bandages they had in the medicine cabinet, but then the excruciating pain set in...
Loud vibrations from her pocket suddenly snapped her out of the memory. She blinked a few times and reached into her sweater to grab her cell phone, where she had over 20 missed calls - not including countless text messages. She frowned, walking towards her new bedroom, contemplating picking up the phone. Her best friends name flashed across the screen: ZOEY
She had sent two texts to her best friend within the week, but had yet to speak with her yet. She had texted her mother once, letting her know that she was okay and not to worry. She hadn’t talked to Evan, her boyfriend, at all.
Josephine wasn’t ready to speak. She needed to be alone. She tossed her phone on the brand new king-size mattress, leaving it buzzing. Zoey would have to wait.
For now, a shower was deeply needed. She felt disgusting from moving boxes and furniture with the mover all day. Plus, she just needed one of those long self-absorbed pity showers for once. It felt healing, almost. Her wound needed to be cleaned and re-bandaged, too. Moving boxes did exactly nothing to help her healing. She had felt the nasty scab rip open at one point…
On the bright side, this was going to be the first night in a very long time that she would sleep in a bed that she actually wanted to be in. The first time she would feel relatively safe in 4 years.
The wink that Dustynn received from Leo was a sign of some fun to come for sure. She laughed, her head falling back in joy as Leo got up on stage and hit the mark one after the other. He was one of the most charming people she had met in this town yet, it might have been his accent for part of it- but it was mostly his genuine heart. As the song blasted over the speaker system Dusty nudged Marcus as she started to sing along with the 90's hit. It was all in good fun, and if embarrassment was the worst of the punishment- then the two women should have considered themselves very lucky.
Catching the smile of the bombshell and her side comment about the bathroom being a better alternative, Dustynn couldn't help but nod her head and exclaim, "Right?!" she exchanged a smile as she reached under the counter where one of the registers sat and slipped the woman a coupon for a free appetizer. "This is on me hun- welcome to Club Aether!" she cooed, as she moved across the bar like a well oiled machine collecting empty glasses, refilling pints, and grabbing orders as they came in.
The sister had done an over the top amazing job, and Dustynn gave credit where credit was due. She clapped, and cheered for a moment before taking another quick cigarette break. She was pushing her luck constantly with the nasty habit; she knew Leo wasn't the biggest fan of it- but it wasn't something she could just quit cold turkey. As she sat outside she scratched the sore part of her eye with the back of her thumb gently- balancing her cigarette between her lips. Her eye and the flesh around it was irritated and the cheap make up wasn't helping. She browsed through her phone with the other hand, reading over the other text message she had received from Paige.
It made her stomach feel uneasy as she debated whether or not she should respond, deciding on not- she screenshot the text and cropped it so it was just the text, and forwarded it to Leo before deleting her messages once more. After doing this she headed back inside, grabbing the attention of Leo she leaned in and whispered into his ear quickly and quietly, "Texted you something. We need to talk. Nothing too bad...but we need privacy." she hoped that wasn't too scary, no conversation that had 'we need to talk' in it was usually something you wanted to hear. She planted a quick kiss on his cheek, before making a return to the bar.
Seeing the man fall to the ground, Dustynn wasn't too phased- as most of their patrons would drink until it got to this point "Woah there buddy, going to need to cut you off-" she started as she saw the small cat and the gaunt look to the man's face. "No animals in here either!" she furrowed her brows, but also knew that this guy wasn't a drunk patron but a man who needed a hand. One of the sisters came over and offered the assistance, and Dustynn complied, "I'm sorry." she admitted as she and another patron helped the man up and back onto a stool, she wasn't really sure what to do in the situation but decided that it was better to help someone than throw them out into the cold.
Putting in a quick order of totcho's a popular bar food at the time consisting of a normal nacho dish, but instead of tortilla chips using tator tots- Dustynn brought them out and placed them in front of the man. "Eat slow, I don't want to clean up vomit anymore than I usually do tonight." she pleaded with a bit of a smile across her lips, she poured the man a tall glass of water as well, knowing that any alcohol was not beneficial for the situation.
Before the woman ordering a drink could answer, two familiar faces were escorted to the bar by security. He chuckled a little, before giving the two sisters a smile, shrugging a little at her question. “Hey you two. I’m… Still not sure if it was a date or not… But thank you.” He responded, unable to stop a very light blush from colouring his cheeks. As the two turned to talk to Leo, undoubtedly about the drama that occured last time the sisters had been to the club, Marcus turned back to the woman ordering a drink, who had just made their decision.
“Mojito it is! Comin’ up.” he said cheerfully, as he started to mix the ingredients in a cocktail shaker. It wasn’t a difficult drink to make, and out of the corner of his eye, he noticed the girl watching him make it rather intently. He smirked, and played it up a little, trying to make the cocktail making a little more entertaining. After shaking the ingredients together, he did a low-key flip of the cocktail shaker, flashing the girl a slight smirk, before opening it and starting to pour the cocktail into a glass. He told the girl the amount and accepted the cash before placing it on the bar in front of her. “I hope you like it.” He said with a bright smile.
Before he said anything else, his attention was drawn to the conversation happening nearby, and couldn’t help but chuckle softly. “Oh my, this is gonna be something…” He knew that Marinalia could sing, but new nothing of Victoria’s musical ability. It was definitely going to something. Marcus let out another soft burst of laughter as he heard what song it was that the pair had to sing. He smirked over at Dustynn as she nudged him and started singing along at him, which prompted him to sing back at her, well the words he knew, anyway, which weren’t many of them. He glanced back over at the watermelon mojito girl, and couldn’t help but snicker a little, although he shook his head. “Nah, I’d choose singing over cleaning any day of the week.”
As the song ended, Marcus clapped a bit, and offered a small cheer. The sisters had done pretty well, and managed to get quite a good reception from the crowd. After serving another patron, he scanned the bar, and saw a rather unkempt looking man fall over. Marcus furrowed his brow in worry, it definitely seemed like it was more than having drunk a little too much. He was about to rush over and help, but Dusty got there first, and seemed like she had it handled. He let out a soft sigh, before continuing to work behind the bar, cleaning glasses and serving drinks. He wasn’t as fluid with his work as Dusty was, but he was getting there. When he had a quiet moment, he quickly pulled out his phone, hoping for a reply from Reya. His heart sank a little when there wasn't one, sighing heavily. "She's probably working..." He justified to himself under his breath, before putting his phone away and continuing to work.

TUESDAY evening
...
Victoria gave a glance over to Marcus as she had a concerned glance to Joseph, who had... A bad habit of half starving... The guy was... Well could be rich so he said. Why would someone keep on the streets when they had a golden ticket out to change there life?
Leaning against one side on her cane, she liked, disliked and had strange feeling a bout it now. The workmanship of milo was impeccable, yet then again Milo... Glittering blue with custom guard and concealed snow flake patten steel inside. Then again she hated feeling frail, how would she be in about 6-7 months? Least it was not twins!
Marcus. Was not dating Reya? They looked so cute together.. Maybe they needed locking in a bin together for a few hours... She paid how much for tickets... Date ville... Surely? "Date hopefully. Vour a good egg, anyvay you two where a cute couple.
Good to see vou about, I lived in Russia vhen they vhere big, Dira loved them. Vy learned them in original language. Can I have a virgin Cocktail... No caffine? If Leo not kicking me vout! " Not dropping her accent, somewhat sticking and not bothering to mask anything. Her phone buzzed a second, a reminder she had a call from Arcady about the system sale cut, sales where up and she had a nice pay day coming. Minus his cut of course, no one did anything for free. She hoped her being about might help Joseph. He helped her, least she could do was ensure he got some food in his stomach.
Thr black haired lady behind the bar, well she was sure she had seen her about before. Long slightly curled, though heavy on the eye make up... Very heavy. She must be part panda or so. She was rather, hmmm.. "Please. He saved me from a bad spot a few months ago.
He just had a sharp tongue if your Cuba the Hutt." relaxing a alittle, she was less on edge after the peformence and so. Nerve racking but definitely fun afterwards. Singing along quietly to a following up Tattoo song in Russian, and looking round. No Troublesome Trio, no groupies, no so...? Maybe it might end a alittle more quietly! "Vou alright Marcus? " wondering, he had a stranger impression glancing at phone. Curiosity got thr better of her.
Now just hopefully they had a decent no alcoholic cocktai!
Siobhan kept quiet raising an eyebrow at Joel's tone. Which was well deserved there at the end. Putting it all together she cut her eyes to the car and back to Joel and pulled off a poker face as she realized he was dragging info out of the sleazebag. Not that it would have that big an impact but knowing what you're facing could give you an edge.
Siobhan smirked inwardly keeping her poker face on. She nodded at the question at the end of Joel's speech. Walking away from that mess was easy. What wasn’t easy was the gnawing self esteem issues that came out of the woodwork at Joel’s tone. Damned if she was going to let it get to her through. They wandered back toward Joel’s car.
Siobhan’s phone made the noise of a lightsaber turning on and vibrated in her jacket pocket. Pulling it out she checked that she got a message from Paige, guessing correctly that she was still awake. You guess correctly. What’s shaking Marshmallow? She knew it would but Paige calling her Marshmallow. She was a Marshal not a sweet edible treat. Getting her to say that was brilliant. So the nickname stuck, well at least for her. She had yet to find one for Joel. Miláček might do. Laughing softly she changed his name to the Czech term of endearment. Translated to English it covered many terms.
She looked up from her phone and raised an eyebrow at Joel and giving into the smirk. It had been hiding for a bit but she couldn’t help it now. She leaned a hip on the car, tilted her head and put her hands in her jacket pockets. “See what you did there you smooth operator. I still get to pick the course so as long as I can out maneuver him then I have it in the bag. Otherwise it’s anyone’s game. More intel on the competition the better.” Taking her hands out of her jacket pockets she reaches out her hands on his biceps leaning forward and kisses Joel on the cheek whispering. “You’re dangerously close to getting more than you bargained for miláček. Or was that your plan all along?”

WHAT'S HAPPENING???
As you may or may not know, if you've been following along closely with all the posts and reading the STAR MESSENGER, we've had an underlying crime drama going on in the background plots of Sol City since near the end of Chapter One when Milo and Paige took down the shifty gangster, Jackie Costa and put themselves at odds with the Detroit-based, Giancana Crime Syndicate. Over the course of this Chapter your character(s) might have influenced this plot unknowingly... Right now this is your Friday morning in Sol City:
There has been anEXPLOSIONat Club Aether. The building has been heavily damaged and is on fire. Much of Sol City Fire & Rescue in on the scene battling the blaze. Early news reports seem to indicate the fire stemmed from a leaking gas-heat source, but perhaps foul-play was involved? More on that later. All security systems for The Run are offline as well as connections were destroyed in the explosion. Luckily, it appears no one was inside the building at the time of the detonation.
AFIREhas been reported in the upper floors of the MODUS office building and the sleek skyscraper can be seen smoking from a distance. There has not yet been a confirmation on the source of the fire, but it seems the offices of Sol City businessman, Elvin Santos, are near the source of the blaze. Many in Sol City's elite circles will be familiar with Elvin's collection of rare antiquities and art from across the globe. The value of his collection is estimated to be easily in the millions. Fire crews are responding here as well.
There is aPOWER OUTAGEeffecting the Luna Sports Facility. The Stadium, Athletic Complex and Grounds are all without hardline phones and power. Many in the usual morning to midday workout phase are finding themselves in a very large and dark building. Crews from Sol City Public Works are making their way to the scene to diagnose what is going on.

THE CURRENT TIME PERIOD IS... FRIDAY MORNING
Weather is mostly clear and cool, partly cloudy. ALLPOSTS need to be during this time period and reacting to current events. Please keep references to past skips (i.e.: wrapping up loose ends from Tuesday to a MINIMUM) Notice why we kept asking everyone to get their posts in so much on the last skip? This is the reason.
