Zodiac Sign: Aries
Special Talent: Drawing, but she doesn't like to show it off.
Profession: Graphic Art Designer. Mostly creating logos and other marketing material for a variety of companies.
Bio/Personality: Josephine grew up with a mother who only loved her because she had to and a father she never truly knew. At the age of 4, her father died in a car accident and her mother was paid off handsomely through his life insurance. Josephine quickly became a status symbol, an object to show off to other well-off families with nothing better to do.
Around 6th grade, her mother's beloved "Josie" stopped caring about her mothers "needs". She no longer wanted to impress, to be the perfect child her mother envisioned. She trashed all of her frilly dresses and became more of a tomboy, preferring to play in the dirt over playing with barbies and tea sets. Her mothers affection was a gradual decline from then on, until Josephine was able to move out of the house on her own at the age of 17. She didn't care about her life of luxury, she had to leave that love-less house. By that time, the house had become a cesspool for her mothers toxic attitude. The life insurance money was beginning to run out, and her mother refused to stoop herself back into the workforce.
Josephine became something of a transient for a couple years, until she met Evan Reid. She was 21, he was 25. He immediately swept her off of her feet and they were smitten instantaneously. For two years he was a good boyfriend, but his alcohol usage eventually grew out of hand and from there on he became abusive. Mentally, verbally, and physically. Nonetheless, Josephine stayed. She endured his abuse for four more years, believing he could change. She could help him. He was good once, why not?
It didn't work. The last straw, finally, was when he stabbed her in the forearm in one of his drunken rages. She had finally woken up, realizing she was alone with no friends, family, and she had been living with a borderline psychopath. Angry with herself, Josephine packed up everything she had (not much) and moved to Sol without a word to anyone. She disappeared in the middle of the night, while Evan was blacked out on the couch.
Sol would be a new start for her. She was determined to make this a better life.

*Your age: 26 *What part of the world are you from? West Coast of the United States *How many years have you been writing/roleplaying: I have written on and off since I was 16 years old... Holy crap! I feel old. *How often do you have time to post? I would say 1-2 times a week. I'll usually be able to post during the weekends. *Anything else you want to mention? What you do for a living? How much do you work a week? What do you enjoy doing besides writing? I play video games in my free time, I can't function without my morning coffee, and my job takes up most of my time. Just what came to mind first. :P
Im not sure where you were going with her Christmas holiday plans, but we have already passed Christmas of sorts in Sol City. The post would still be within continuity, she just wouldn't be going for a while.

Just another reminder that we are looking to close up this skip fairly soon, but we have decided to leave it open for a while longer since we have gained some new members and regular players have been away on various commitments. There are still a few people that need to post in the current skip and we also have the holidays coming up here in the states. No rush. We have everything set and ready for the most part, but a few more player decisions could still change things.
What does this mean?
Well for the regulars that have been around, not much, but new players need to listen up:
We are glad about our recent jump in players, however we were nearing the end of what has been Sol City Chapter 2 and the next event we do is going to be the Finale which will then be followed by the Epilogue. DONOTBEDISCOURAGED. There is going to be a Chapter 3 and you will be able to transfer your characters to the next thread. We usually like to take a 2-3 week break between the Chapters just as a rest period of sorts before we run a couple new Interest Checks and start up again. Your recently approved characters will not need to be approved again. In the meantime, don't be afraid to still jump in and post with the events we have planned. There is still plenty of writing opportunity to be had in this chapter and just because you are new to the game does not mean that you can't still make a difference in how things pan out in Sol City for Chapter 2. The Finale is going to be wild.
