[The Citadel - Universal Space Time - 7:35AM]
At first, the only sound that filled the apartment was the soft hum of the apartments air-conditioning. Then a loud and irritating electronic beep filled the bedroom, accompanied by a bright blue light that flashed on and off in rapid succession. Opening her eyes rapidly, Andromedai rolled over to the left side of the bed, letting her eyes focus upon the digital numbers of her alarm clock. The time showed [7:35AM-UST] the exact time she had programmed into the alarm clock to wake her up at. Reaching with her left hand, she hit the snooze button upon the top of the clock rather violently, causing the chaos that emitted from it to instantly stop and for the lights in the room to turn on. Groggily sitting up within her bed, she slowly swung her legs over the side and let her feet rest upon the dark brown carpeted floor below her. After carefully standing up and making sure she was fully awake, she carried our her morning stretches. A while would pass before she found herself down stairs inside of her large luxury apartment upon the Citadel.
Sitting alone at a large modern dinner table, there would be a mug of freshly brewed coffee, a plate of high protein food, and a small bowl of fruit. These few items made up her daily breakfast, and it was very rare for her to stray away from this meal, unless the day had something special in store for her. The television in front of her that she was focused upon showed live footage of the celebrations across the galaxy for the one-hundredth anniversary of the end of the Reaper War. The galaxy news network would flash from one celebration to another, showing how people from all over the galaxy were celebrating in their own unique way. Then the news showed the Citadel, the heart of the celebration, and a human reporter went into details about all that would be happening in the next couple of hours.
"The Citadel Council has quite a few exciting events planed for today. Guests of the event shall meet some of the living survivors of the Reaper War, a rare and cherished opportunity for those lucky enough to be invited to the events that will span all this week. As you can see from all of the tables, booths and other attractions set up behind me, there will be plenty to see and interact with. We were told that some very special guests who cannot be announced at this time will be showing up to make speeches and talk about all that happened during the Reaper War. We here at Galaxy News Network are excited to see the events unfold here today and hope to see some of you out here with us at the one-hundredth anniversary of the end of the Reaper War!"
The live footage would change once more, now switching to some news reporter talking to a group of multi-species civilians upon the citadel, talking about what they were looking forward to during the week of celebrations. This was when Andromedai finished her breakfast, standing up and bringing her plates and mug over into the kitchen before quickly and efficiently cleaning all of them. A few moments would pass before Andromedai found herself grabbing the last of her equipment. After looking over-herself and making sure she looked not only professional but also making sure that she had everything, she headed to the front door of her apartment and left, letting the door shut behind her and lock securely lock into place.
Andromedai had to be at the celebration grounds before the next hour, allowing her plenty of time to relax and take in the positive vibes that seemed to flow from all around her. Something did feel off though, the thought of being watched or followed once she closed in upon the Presidium and the celebration grounds that is officially called the Remembrance of Fallen Heroes, left her a bit on edge. Walking into the Remembrance of Fallen Heroes and past very heavy security, Andromedai took notice to how huge the room was. It was so massive that a few ships could have been fit inside of it. A good chunk of the room looked like a garden with even a river and pond within it. The ceiling used a massive screen to imitate a blue, sunny sky with a few fluffy white clouds that passed through it. The images upon the screen were so realistic that they were disorienting at first, but that quickly passed.
Someone walked up behind Andromedai, and she could feel this persons presence. If the person wanted to sneak up upon Andromedai, they could have, but this person wanted the Spectre to know of her presence. Two heavy hands would fall upon Andromedai's shoulders before lightly squeezing them in an affectionate but friendly way. "Have I mentioned how short you are compared to me when we are both in armor?" the voice of a female Turian could easily be heard, and Andromedai instantly knew who it belonged to. "Yeah yeah, I know I am short compared to you when in armor, but you are a Turian, that's not fair!" There was a bit more teasing from Aviza before the two quickly shook each others hands and walked together over to the security table to check in, walking side by side.
When they arrived, Andromedai took off her helmet and held it under her left arm, Aviza did the same, fully unintentionally. Andromedai's full facial features could now be seen to those who cared enough. She was quite an attractive woman, nothing extraordinary but still quite good looking. Her eyes were a bright azure blue, her hair was dark brown, short and spiked, and her look of adult youth still remained. Both of these woman signed their names upon a data-pad before entering the actual celebration area. "A week of celebrations, what could possibly go wrong?" asked Aviza with a smirk across her face, or whatever passed as once upon a Turian. Andromedai chuckled softly before replying, "Well do you remember the last time we had helped guard one of these celebrations? I had never seen drunk Krogan fight each other until that night, and tasers did little to stop the rampage that ensued." Aviza nodded her head once as the two walked around the outer rim of the chamber. "We had to use military grade flash bangs to break them up then had to have other Krogans help us calm them down and remove them from the area. Honestly, that was a great experience and one I have no doubt I will remember for many years to come."
Aviza was the one to point out that there were a number of other security members helping with the event, she noticed a number of spectres, and other soldiers from a multitude of species who were armed to the teeth and wearing heavy armor. "I see a Geth, have not seen one of them act as a member of a security team for quite a while, we will have to go talk to him when we find the time." Andromedai looked in the direction that Aviza was pointing and nodded her head, "All Geth made weapons as well, yeah let's talk to him later, when we find the time." There was a moment of silence as the two walked, not even getting close to doing a full lap around the massive chamber. While they walked, they took note of a large number of areas filled with exotic and expensive food they were going to have to inspect later, for security reasons of course. A large group of musicians was playing live music as they continued their walk, keeping a close eye and ear on all of their surroundings for anything suspicious.
