Humanity has entered the 23rd century by rite of conquest.
Upon uniting under one banner, the central government of an unified Earth set their eyes towards the final frontier: outer space. It was marvelous, with faraway stars shining so brightly, yet even then the final frontier had been soaked in blood, tears and sweat. Humanity had returned to their primal nature, forcefully carving their path through alien civilizations as they saw fit. Eager to prove humanity's dominance, colonies were established on the ashes of fallen empires, exploiting their resources for the glory of humankind.
Our story begins on one such colony once known as Canaan. An icy planet with an atmosphere requiring a space suit just to leave the inner colony, Canaan would have been ignored entirely were it not for the plentiful minerals deep inside the planet's crust. Now in the waning days of the 23rd century, the constant drilling has awoken a previously dormant evil. A parasite that seizes control of the dead, turning them in to flesh hungering monsters has ravaged the colony, forcing humanity to establish a quarantine around the planet.
Those left behind on the planet are forced to survive against all odds, fighting both an icy climate and the infectious undead. Whether they wish to escape the quarantine and reclaim the planet for humanity, there is only one thing that is certain: a bite from one of those freaks will kill you. Once those mangy teeth chomp down onto your flesh, it's game over. Without severe damage to the brain, the parasite takes control and restarts the body, forcing the infected to watch unspeakable horrors that they have no control over.
Will you be able to survive against such a threat?

Rules, regulations and guidelines. Please take a look and read them all before you join this roleplay.
◈ Be fonz cool
This goes without saying, but anyone who wishes to join this roleplay should do so in the consideration of having a good time writing a story with other roleplayers. Avoid being the asshole that deliberately acts like a dick to other roleplayers, and treat others how you would want to be treated. Follow guild rules; don't lash out and start an argument because someone might simply have a different viewpoint than you. We're here to have a fun time roleplaying, so let's keep it that way.
◈ Posting guidelines
Posts in this roleplay should appear fluid and flow with the scene and setting. In no way should characters in this roleplay be metagaming and godmodding their way through various situations that will take place. No one is perfect to the point of an invincible mary sue that knows everything that might happen. Everyone has their own strengths and flaws, and they should be apparent in any and all posts in this roleplay.
◈ Quality over quantity
Whilst this roleplay is meant to be a High Casual/Advanced roleplay, this doesn't mean fluff your posts into novels for others to read. No one wants fifty pages of a description of your character's next meal. Additionally, take your time and don't rush yourself with a post. Everyone has some sort of social obligation, whether that be school, work and so on. Brain farts are welcomed here as long as they do not hold up the roleplay e.g. keeping someone or more waiting for several weeks.
