Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have a character you created go through the entire Dragon Ball Z saga? Well then this rp is for you. The story will begin with the Saiyan saga and as the GM I will try to keep the story moving along.

Power Levels

All characters may start with a maximum power level of 800. As the RP goes along our characters will be gaining more power and we will be using the official transformation multipliers that the series uses. Saiyans still get their zenkai boosts, but other races have their own unique abilities that play into their power level scaling. For example humans and Beast-men don't have zenkai boosts, but they have special techniques or abilities that give them advantages that saiyans don't whether it's magic or some innate ability that is unknown to saiyans.

All of the transformations in the show are available to achieve depending on where the story has gotten to, with the exceptions of forms found only in GT or DB Super. Original transformations are allowed, but I mainly prefer them to be made for humans, beast men and other races not known for having powerful transformations to balance the scale of power between each race. My intentions are to fix one of the problems I had with DBZ, which was how useless in combat the human characters were.

Techniques

Both canon and original techniques are allowed, but I ask that your characters do not start off with OP abilities and wait until later in the rp to develop more powerful techniques, so no Final Flashes or Super Kamehameha Waves.

Abilities
Abilities are unique powers that are tied with the race of the character. For example Saiyans have zenkai boosts and Majin characters have their regeneration and magical abilities. Humans, beast-men, demons and original alien races can have original abilities. Humans, demons and Beast-Men can have magical abilities. Magic is different from Ki based techniques, but if used to much can be taxing on the body and isn't infinite in power.

Races

For races I made a list of the ones available to make a character for. Beast Men are the anthropomorphic characters native to earth. Aliens are any race that aren't Saiyans or Namekiens, for the CS you can put the name of your character's race in the sheet. If you select an android, demon or Majin then it is a rule that you don't spoil or have knowledge of the future arcs that involve those races in the story line.

@Weird Tales I'm interested in joining this, if you don't mind another having another person. I've never been in a DBZ RP before and I might have a character in mind for this.

A couple questions though. I saw in the interest thread that the basic idea for this is that Goku does not exist in this world; does this include all other canon characters as well? No Roshi, no Bulma or any of the Z fighters? Our characters can replace the Z fighters easily enough but I think the plot might get a little messed up if we exclude some of the canon characters.

Personality: Reckless, arrogant, and callous, Taeto is more or less an unlikable man. He's easily irritable and has a profane outlook towards generosity. For reasons he can't naturally explain he's always been drawn to destruction, though he tirelessly fights against that aspect of himself. If not for the trying and incessant love of his elder sister and aunt, he would had given in to his urges towards violence a long time ago. The conflict between his nature and his wants has caused him to stray from people in general, creating, on the surface, a lone-wolf.

Power Level: 800 PL

Abilities: Zenkai Boost

Transformations: [none allowed at the moment]

Techniques |

• Full Power Ki Wave - A wave of KI dark blue in color.
• Spiral Fist - A KI infused punch that when twisted grinds dark blue KI against the skin.
• Dark Shot - A heavily condensed orb of KI that that explodes upon impact.
• Earthbreaker - Taeto punches the earth and sends his KI rupturing underneath his opponent.

History: Taeto grew up in a orphanage in Central City. Apparently found wandering the outskirts of the twon by farmers he thought to be a hybrid between human and beast-man due to his primate tail. Upon analysis however, it was discovered he was something else. His tendency towards violence caused him to be an undesirable. That was until a pious curator of rare arts took him in. A week later, the curator returned him. Eventually he was adopted by a steely woman and her dedicated niece. She created an outlet for his violence in the form of martial arts, training him alongside her niece. His knack for fighting was impressive but his "no-give up" attitude towards controlling that violence was admirable. For years trained and years more he and his sister traveled the world, entering tournaments, and supporting the woman that gave them a home and purpose.

On the outside he is a figure of total calmness but on the inside lies a white hot rage that fuels the very power that make him a dangerous fighter. He has a solid grasp on his anger but when pushed to his limit it can seep out. With his often calm demeanour comes a sense of humour that people would expect him lacking just by looking at him. A face of seriousness often gives way to a smile or grin before returning to its mostly stern appearance. He is a man of the people and defender of the weak HISTORY ———————————————————————— Sam was born to parents who were beyond ecstatic to have him. For years they had tried to have children until suddenly, after almost giving up all hope, Samanosuke Tanaka came into being. For the early years of his life he was much like any other baby, regular tears and soiled diapers but as he began to grow a deep anger within became evident. Severe tantrums and outbursts made life difficult for Sam's parents, so much so that by his fourth birthday they sought the help of the village elder. Part medicine man and part village leader, the elder was shocked by the child's inner aggression. However, he knew of a man who could tame the anger but it would mean giving up their son until the goal was achieved. Sam's parents reluctantly accepted, leaving him with the man known only as Kojiro. In the years that followed Sam was taught a two thousand year old martial art known as Fists of the Swift Wind. The basis of the martial art was to utilise a persons anger to increase their damage output. The anger within Sam shocked Kojiro but not through a sense of fear, but through surprise that the youngsters potential was unbound. Throughout the history of the fighting style nobody had become so advanced at such a young age and so Kojiro grew excited. It was four years after the start of his training that Sam was allowed to reunite with his parents and through it came an emotional outpouring from his mother and father. They couldn't believe the change in their child, particular the fact that he was more like a young adult than an eight year old. Even so they felt a level of guilt that he had missed much of his childhood having spent it training. Their opinion changed when they saw him showcase his capabilities in a local fighting tournament however, defeating adults three times his size through nothing but technique. They saw his natural gift and so, reluctantly, let him return to Kojiro. They hoped that his talent might one day do the world some good, even if it meant that they missed his early life. It wasn't until his eighteenth birthday that Sams training was finally complete. Other fighters his age had levels of power that had surpassed him, focussing on increasing their strength. Kojiro focussed on teaching Sam the true techniques and secrets of the Swift Wind, increasing his power would come later. His body had been trained to almost be able to fight on autopilot, the accuracy and power of his strikes far surpassing what he should be capable of. To the present day he keep in contact with Kojiro and spend much of his time taking care of his parents. When he isn't with either he is often training or helping those in need in his home village. ABILITIES ———————————————————————— ✦ Power Through Fury | Fists of the Swift Wind is the martial art that Sam has been taught for the majority of his life. It allows him to tap into his inner anger to increase his strength beyond what a human should be capable of. It works much in the same way as the Saiyan zenkai boost, however rather than increasing power after near fatal experiences it increases power after great bouts of rage. ✦ Ultimate Concentration | Through the years of learning to control his inner rage, Sam is able to block out all distractions around him. This can help him keep focus on a fast moving foe or distinguishing between an after image and the real person. In addition to this, he is able to better focus his ki so as a result his standard ki blasts are baseball sized rather than the typical basketball size. They are no stronger or weaker, simply smaller in size. TECHNIQUES ———————————————————————— ✦ Waterfall Fists | Taking a face on stance on their opponent, the user is able to unload one hundred punches in the space of a second. ✦ Raging Torrent | Much like the Waterfall Fists technique, Raging Torrent involves taking a face on stance towards an opponent. However rather than punches being thrown, the users unleashes ki blasts. Twenty blasts in total are fired in the space of a second. ✦ Sudden Storm | The user channels their rage into their fists until they glow with energy, with each hit from them feeling like a babies punch. Within three seconds of the glow fading the opponent experiences the true full force of each punch simultaneously. The more punches that land, the more damage that is inflicted. ✦ Mistform | The ultimate in defensive techniques, Mistform can protect it's user from harm. The user is unable to attack as they focus solely on their opponents movements. Incoming attacks are easily avoided but at the cost of extreme stress on the body. The level of focus is that severe that prolonged use will result in complete exhaustion. As such it should only be used to waste time against vastly superior opposition. I have a quick question regarding the Android race, are their power levels Undetectable like in dbz, or is everyone able to detect their power level?

Why are DBZ Humans so hard to create? At least with other races you can easily find fan art in the Dragon Ball art style and have some place to work off of, but Humans? Nope. Normally I just boot up Xenoverse 2 and use it to create a character then screenshot it and upload, but the clothing options for humans are... kinda meh. Either that or I just need to complete more of the game, but I don't really have time to these days. Oy vey.
