end up here, or they catch themselves in time to start climbing again. But what happens when a demon or devil
falls? They go to the deepest, darkest pit in Hell, never seen again. Then were do they go when they hit rock bottom?
As the humans say, no where left to go but up.

Welcome to the Seven Deadly Sins; no where left but up Discussion thread. This Rp is set in the modern day, where the embodiment of the sins must survive and live amoungst humans, who think they don't exist(and if they do, they'd hunt the sins down), while satisfying their vice. The reason for them being here is that they've lost all respect, all recognition, everything they had with the demons and devils of hell. Now they come up, from one of the most Sinful places on earth, and create their lives anew, while hiding what they are from humans.

I like the modern-supernaturalish concept so I'll put my interest in. As for the main story will there be some sort of shared goal all our characters will be working towards?

Sorta, more or less I was planning it start with them exiting hell and entering earth Via Las Vegas or Salem or something. Then, from there, maybe have to deal with angels, demon hunters, priests, and what not while trying to make a living and surviving the modern world. Interest checked. I'm already in 2 RPs, one of which I'm co-hosting, and I've got another that I'm in the process of writing up, but I can easily make this be the last that I'll involve myself in.

One question though; how do you intend on who gets what Sin? Will you be allowing reserves?

I will judge based on how well someone embodies and personifies the sin they are asking for. Should multiple people make good CS, I'll have them First see if there can be a compromise, if not, I'll have them make sample posts and whoever is in character and with the character behavior they describe, then they will be accepted. Again, if not, I'll ask for second opinion or just pick one if i'm being sloth-ish. (sin pun intentional)

I will allow reserves, but I hope the will be unnecessary, for having reserves is not always a good thing I've learned.

I might allow non-sin characters later in the RP, but only if I see how just the sins will go story wise.

Appearances

Human disguise:

Ag'thal's favourite human disguise is that of a young adult woman. Her jaw is defined and her pale skin is dotted with faint freckles: especially around her chest. Ag'thal is over 6' tall with her high heels, but even without them she is almost freakishly tall. Her soulful, nearly hypnotic eyes are hard to resist when coupled with her signature crooked smile, which is borderline seductive. It is hard to miss the gleam of greed that dances in her expression.
Ag'thal's human disguise has mid-length, lush and dark hair. She never ties it up, often running her hands through it. Her attire is usually something expensive looking and form-fitting, but it changes frequently.

Demonic appeareance:
Ag'thal's true appearance is that of a dark burgundy skinned demon. Her eyes are pitch black and she has quite a lot of them dotted all over her body like the frecles her human form has.
Ag'thal is easily 6 feet tall in her demonic form, her curling forehead horns giving the demon an extra height boost. Ag'thal has six arms, enough to claim everything there is to grab. Her hands have strong, long nails that you could easily describe as claws.
Ag'thal has lush, black hair that waves its way down to her shoulders and moves like wispy smoke around her head. Ag'thal also has a long, thick tail that provides her a handy extra appendix.

Age

"A sin as old as time."
Around the estimated age of the planet Earth, so somewhere around 4.5 billion years old, give or take. Human form looks to be around its 30s.

Pre-Sin-hood Biography

"No one takes away from me. Yet they did. I intend to take it back."
Ag'thal took great pride in being crowned as the carrier of the sin Greed. It was her life's work, her ultimate goal as a demonic being. It took around a billion years for her to actually reach the point where she would win the title as her own. For the longest time she kept trying to find her medium, but she could never choose just one. So, in the end, it turned out that she didn't have to decide: she wanted it all. And what is there that fits the bill better than greed?
Ag'thal thought being crowned Greed would satisfy her need for satisfaction. It didn't. It wasn't enough, Ag'thal didn't only want to be named Greed. She wanted to be lust, she wanted to be pride, she wanted to be them all. One title wasn't enough. It could never be.
So that became her new goal, to get all of the sins to be hers. Well, it didn't quite work, as it turned out that the fame and popularity of all of the sins began plummeting. It had been Ag'thal's life's work to become a sin, and suddenly, after all that time, someone was trying to take it away from her. Ag'thal didn't accept it; no one took anything from her. She took things from others. The fame was hers.
In the end, when she or the other sins couldn't fight the change of tide, Ag'thal realised what she needed was a change of playground, some other place to conquer. So, naturally, Earth became her next mission.

Personailty

"I not only draw strength from others' greed -- I feast on it."
Ag'thal is a master manipulator. She is used to getting what she wants, and if she doesn't, things won't end well for the opposing party. Nothing's ever enough for Ag'thal; she lives life with only material goods giving her the satisfaction she craves. Be it wealth, people, land or anything really, the demon wants it all. Even if she owned all the secular treasure this world had to offer, she wouldn't be satisfied. She's in an endless chase of the sensation of fullfillment, never quite reaching it.
Ag'thal is very impulsive by nature, which is a result of the sin she possesses. Impulsive decisions are a part of who she is: just seeing something can make Ag'thal want to pursue it with fiery passion. It comes as no surprise that Ag'thal possesses some mild narcissistic characteristics. She is in no way worse than pride in that category, but she thinks herself surperior enough to think she deserves everything around her, be it riches or relationships with people. If Ag'thal doesn't get the item or thing she pursues, she gets frustrated and jealous. This demon, despite her calm outer shell, has quite the short temper when things don't go her way. She appears charming to strangers, but really she's selfish and has a very dry sense of humour coupled with a poor moral code.

Ag'thal is the best manipulator there is. She can mold people like clay, make them bend to her will, make them give her what she wants. She can make people greedy for something by chraming them with just a few suggestive words. She can persuade people easily, wrapping them around her finger like the helpless souls they are. Just a seemingly harmless word, and suddenly the human on the recieving end can't control their greed for the matter at hand.

- Goes under the alias "Jessie Fischer" most often, though she has other aliases as well.
- Ag'thal has taken a special liking to the planet Earth and its habitants most known for their greediness: humans. This may have something to do with Ag'thal being around the age of the planet Earth.
- Ag'thal has never been able to feel satisfaction or fulfillment, since her greed is endless.

Okay, I have many things to say:

Firstly, her background of Pre-Sin-hood is supposed to be how did she get the title of the Sin of Greed. Not her entire existence up till now.

Secondly, demons are seen as evil and sinful, so if she was the greediest, and they hated her for it, how could she gain the title? (apart from those who also wanted the title)

Lastly, the sin ability is an ability on the demon of that sin has. Say, the sin of wrath. His ability could be to make everyone in near proximity angry as all hell, causing them to go into a frenzy, or lust having the ability to seduce anyone they want without effort.

It's a good start, but put more thought into it please.

EDIT: Also, for her real age she's Twenty? because that's what two X's mean in Roman numerals.
And if your trying to say 200, that's kinda young in demonic terms, and that would be CC in roman numerals.
if not going for roman numerials, use actual zeros so it actually looks that way.

Yes, thank you for the feedback! I'll gladly make some corrections, I just wasn't quite sure what you were after initially. Now that I know I hope I can meet the requirements better! If I still muck things up, I'll wait to see how others form their sheets and try to learn from those.
I was indeed going for a 200-something year old, hence the X's. I debated making her older but wasn't quite sure what the other demons' ages would be.

EDIT: I feel dumb for asking, but how should our playable characters lose all recognition in the eyes of demons? Shouldn't they act good or un-devil-like to achieve that? If the title of a deadly sin is something to be desired in Hell, why are our characters forced to leave after losing the respect of others, yet gaining the title?

Because the title was given to over a thousand years prior to modern day, and due to how religion and other trends decline, so did the respect and fame they had in hell. Hence, the titles have become worthless in the eyes of demons.

EDIT: Essentially, the demons, like humans, follow trends just like we do. And when one loses it's fervor, another takes it's place, but it's still there. The sins are no longer regarded in the modern world, and new evils take their place, but they are still there.

Like old actors and celebrities.

As funny as that would be, no. The sins are supposed to be friends/allies, depending on how you see it, and don't want to piss each other off(including wrath). They to work together, or at least help when necessary for their own sake. Plus, I read your ability, and it isn't just that kind of effect. Also something like wrath the angrier he gets, the stronger he is or something. Just in case you don't like the spacial effect.
