Rila

Rila looked towards Yumiko for a moment. "The flirting is a good way to get to him to leave." Rila said towards her and smiled slightly, as she continued to walk slowly and rubbed the back of her neck slightly as she occasionally looked around for any other guards nearby luckily there weren't any really right now. "With my sprained ankle and her broken leg, we maybe a bit slower getting there though." Rila said softly and turned towards Yumiko for a second.

"You are a waterbender right, you could do that healing thing correct?" Rila asked her, if they could get their wounds patched up rather quickly then they could get there sooner once they set up camp for the evening. "That's if you are willing to anyway." Rila said, she started to think about making herself another crutch again. But then again she didn't want to risk starting another big inferno that would draw attention towards them either.

Hiroyuki Duma

Much like Ryuu, Hiroyuki did want to greatly disagree to that. He knew in himself that he wasn't one to be swept away by the that particular pleasure in life if his past was any indication. There was also the fact that he was already happily married and that he was content with merely having one person in his life like that. However, Hiroyuki simply gave her a shrug - giving an opinion of neutrality to the current discussion because he very well knew that there were still a great number of men who would fall for such a thing.

He followed behind the group once more as they left the town. Tomorrow afternoon by normal standards with the typical resting periods. Of course, they would have to get food too if their trek was that long and they certainly couldn't buy anything on the road unless they happen upon a food merchant. "The earlier we rise, the better. I'm sure we can get enough rest if we stop a few hours after sundown and leave at the break of dawn." If his calculations were correct, it would allow for everyone to have a good rest even if they slept in shifts to make sure that nothing or no one was following them. "We can get plenty of rest when we reach the next town over as well; it would merely be a small sacrifice." He added and he started to crack his knuckles, the satisfying popping sound making him let out a breath. "The injuries would slow us down, but not by much I imagine. We would get there by the afternoon of the day after the next, at most." He predicted if Ryuu's estimated time was accurate on normal walking standards.

Jia Li

Jia Li rolled her eyes slightly, crossing her arms. Just after she told people to not repeat the same thing, as if they were conspiring to irritate her, Hiroyuki and Rila did exactly that. They both essentially commented on the kiss and the seduction attempt, before giving the same pitch to find shelter if they weren't able to make it to the next town. Honestly, why even waste the breath if it was just going to be the same exact thing someone else had said moments before? The firebender glanced at Yumiko and she nodded at her former cellmate. Men really did seem to want the same thing at the end of the day - her tutor, Xuan Xinyi, had been a prominent exception. He was more of a father to her than General Zheng had ever been. "Relax," Jia Li told Ryuu, siding with Yumiko.

The prospect of a day's journey to the next town was bearable but annoying. She didn't like the idea of stopping before they got a town over to safety, but they would need to rest eventually. They couldn't just walk the entire night without paying for that choice later. The injuries in their group would definitely slow them down. She regretted that they hadn't had some sort of animal to travel with, in order to make the journey faster, but that couldn't be helped. They would just draw more attention that way, anyways. "We might be able to find something to fashion into another walking stick along the way," Jia Li added, not knowing if the waterbender would be able to heal.

Yumiko

Yumiko merely waved the silly boy off. She knew better. Typical man. Get told about a clear problem and play it off like its no big deal. "Until your lot prove me wrong, that's how it is. Haven't met a man since that didn't want something from me." And the Fire Nation girl backed her up. Again she felt a small kinship with her, despite her heritage. Perhaps she wasn't bad, but it was hard to look past the obvious.

Yumiko rolled her eyes once Rila mentioned healing. She had tried before to mixed results. "Fine, if it will keep you quiet." She summoned water and quickly waved it over her arm, allowing the coolness to mend the damage. Eventually, her arm stopped hurting and she could move it again. She then moved to Rila's leg and did the same. She did her best, but she was only able to heal it slightly, but at least she would be able to walk.

"There. I'll do other healings later once we are out of sight and far away from this place."

Hikaru and Ryuu

"You need to learn that not all people are alike, you cannot just put all of one group in a simple category. Like I could just make an assumption based on what I know about you that all benders are full of themselves and think they are better than everyone else. However unlike you I am not a stuck up prick and know that not to be the case even though I clearly have met one who does fit into that category," Ryuu said with a slight smirk at Yumiko. The woman really needed to learn not to be incredibly rude to everyone else, especially those who she is traveling with as that likely will end badly for her.

Hikaru was just listening in on the conversation, and she couldn't help but giggle slightly at Ryuu's words. From what she had been hearing, it seemed like Yumiko might have deserved that sort of thing, no matter what she might think. Though they were all just sitting there talking, not really going anywhere yet, and from what she could tell this was a slight problem that was for sure. "Hate to interrupt or anything... But don't you think we really should get moving? I mean more than we have been..." Hikaru asked softly.

Ryuu nodded his head, leading the way down the path a little way. After about an hour or two, they'd eventually be out of sight of the village entrance that they had been leaving, and quite a bit a ways from there now. He knew that odds were they'd need to leave the path now and cut across fields. With injuries that likely was going to be difficult, so he turned to look at the others. It was also starting to get a little bit dark now as well. "Any sort of healing you want to do I'd recommend doing it now, we can't see the village anymore, and now it likely will be better for us if we end up cutting across fields as opposed to just following the road, it will help us to remain hidden from the Fire Nation more easily, as the armies do tend to use the roads more often then not."

She nodded her head slightly, leaning up against the crutch she had when they stopped. Her leg was still throbbing in pain, and she was unsure of what to really do now. It wasn't like her own bending capabilities could heal in anyway, not to mention it likely would result in her drawing attention to herself. Sure, she could likely make it so that her leg wasn't really touching the ground and she didn't have to lean on it, but she'd effectively be gliding in a way. That likely would result in someone questioning what the hell was going on.

Rila

Rila looked towards Yumiko as she started to heal up her arm first, and then eventually went to her as she could feel some of the healing starting to work. There was a little bit of pain, but it wasn't to the point where it was unbearable anymore and she would be able to walk again somewhat normally which was good. "Thank you." Rila said towards her, and shook her head slightly the girl seemed to be a bit stuck up which rubbed Rila the wrong way. But she was more than willing to heal her which was a good thing now, as she continued to move along the road her hand occasionally touching the small pouch of coins.

They were now a good ways off from the village now after walking a bout two hours now and started to look over towards the lining of trees, and started to make her way towards them. "Might as well head off road now." Rila said looking over towards Hikaru for a moment, and wondered if she needed some help. "Do you need some help?" Rila offered the air bender.

Hiroyuki Duma

Yumiko and Ryuu's discussion was stopped for the sake of their safety and protection. They could have this discourse at a later date - but as Yumiko did say, actions speak louder than words. She was too stubborn to step down from her belief so the discussion would just go in circles anyway. At least their injuries were healed and it was only Hikaru that was injured among them that was grave. He began to trail behind the others as they began walking down the path with the goal of getting to the next town over.

Hiroyuki was unsure how long it had been since they'd been walking. Maybe around two hours? Well, in any case, Ryuu suggested that they get healing out of the way and then proceed through the fields so that they wouldn't encounter any convoys of Fire Nation soldiers and run the risk of being recognized again. He mutely nodded at them. Yumiko was the only one capable of healing anyhow so they were reliant on her for this section. He kept a lookout for anyone who might be passing by - surveying the area silently as the group went to do their own thing.

Jia Li

After they had journeyed for a few hours, they slowed to a halt, allowing a moment's rest. Jia Li wiped a bit of sweat off of her brow, feeling like her mouth had gone dry. She hadn't had any water yet that day and the feelings of dehydration were beginning to set in. She often wondered if Fire Benders grew thirsty more quickly than others, given the energy and heat their powers used. She turned and gazed behind them for a moment, glad that they couldn't spot the village anymore. Hopefully the Fire Nation soldiers would be too lazy to come out this way after them, but she doubted it was the case. Once the records were checked, they'd realize exactly who all had escaped. Her countrymen were not known for mercy, or for letting traitors escape.

There was a problem with going off of the road - while it was true it would allow them to avoid the army, it almost meant that they would travel much slower than she would care for. There was a reason why the Fire Nation tended to build roads and travel on them - they sped things up and presented less hazards. They usually replaced natural footpaths, meaning that they tended to the shortest distance between cities. Then there was also the matter of potential hazards in the fields - wild animals that could attack them while they slept. "Heal, then we should head into the fields - hopefully find a source of food or water if we can," Jia Li advised.

Yumiko

Yumiko made a frowny face. "Oh boohoo, you don't like me. Whatever will I do without the approval of some random jackass? I'm not gonna stand here and pretend I like any of you. We escaped together. That's it. We aren't friends. We aren't comrades. We are prisoners who escaped together. That's it. Hell, the only person I can say I tolerate more is the Fire Nation chick and I HATE the Fire Nation."

Jia's injury wasn't severe and Hiro seemed fine. It was the other two she didn't give a damn about. Let them suffer a bit longer. THEN maybe she would heal them. She brushed herself off. "Should be good to travel a bit farther off into the fields. I'll continue healing later. I want far away from this place."

Hikaru and Ryuu

"So, let me get this straight, you want to be a spoiled rotten brat who is going to basically torment the youngest member of the group, who also stopped you from breaking anything worse than your arm in a fall, and who also has the injury that likely will slow us down the most just because you are pissed off at me? Honestly you really are an idiot aren't you? Makes me wonder why you even are around, since you can't act like a spoiled brat picking and choosing who you help in a war, or did you not realize that? Since every able body counts, so maybe you should go off on your own, since you clearly care about the safety of anyone but yourself even though she helped you, unless you would have rather going splat on the ground and looking like a complete fool."

Hikaru was a little annoyed with both of them. Sure, she was not too thrilled with Yumiko choosing not to help her out, but it wasn't like she hadn't survived worse without any medical attention. The day the year before at the temple stuck out in her mind, but she shook her head to get the thought out of it. "...I'm fine, honestly, we aren't near any houses or anything, so I don't have much to worry about at the moment," she said, before she dropped the crutch that she was holding and spun a ball of air before jumping on and zipping around.

"You shouldn't be doing that sort of thing out in the open you know, anyone could spot you..." Ryuu commented as the Air Bender was racing circles around the group. It was a bit concerning that she was racing around like that, as any sane person would know that it wasn't exactly possible to race around as she was doing. The fact that the Air Nomads were all but extinct didn't help the matter, as she would be much more easily spotted because of that.

"Trust me... I've had way worse injuries than a broken leg, without really any medical treatment..." she said, her mind instantly thinking about the long scar she had across her back that had yet to fade over the past year, but she wasn't really wanting to tell that story yet. "Plus if I did injure my leg to the point where it hurt to walk I'd wait until the evening hours and take off out of whatever town I was in... Definitely made it easier to move around. Though if I had my glider I could actually fly essentially... We're in a field area, in the middle of nowhere, and it is getting darker... I don't think anyone will really see me..."

"Alright, if you are sure..."

"I'm positive," she said matter of factly, nodding her head before she took off a little ways ahead of them.

Hiroyuki Duma

Hiroyuki had wandered off for quite a ways before circling back to the group. He noted that Hikaru still hadn't been healed considering she was still holding her crutch. He looked over to Yumiko who simply said that she would continue healing at a later date. He wasn't sure if he understood why she decided not to heal Hikaru but he simply shrugged it off. They could probably aid Hikaru with walking faster if they must. Yumiko might have been tired so she needed more time to recover for that. She might be rude about it but he could see some reason.

Ryuu, however, was not as calm. He had gone off - angry at the fact that she would not be healing Hikaru. Hiroyuki muttered a curse under his breath as he moved forward, expecting a fight, perhaps. However, Hikaru defused the situation by saying that she was fine and that she could handle it. She created a ball of air and began zipping around them. Hiroyuki was impressed and his face clearly showed it. "Huh, I've never seen an airbender do that before." To be fair, he hadn't seen an airbender before.

When Hikaru went off ahead of them, he gave the others a shrug before jogging up to the airbender, curious. "That's rather impressive and useful for escaping." He then paused as if choosing his words but it was merely because he wasn't exactly sure what else he could say. "Isn't doing that taxing?" He asked as he gestured to the ball of compressed air.

Rila

Rila just simply remained pretty quiet for the time being as she watched Ryuu and Yumiko bickering against each other which made her roll her eyes ever so slightly and sighed mostly to herself more than anything. She really wished that they all got along since they made it out of prison together. Rila then watched Hikaru for a moment as she started to do that air thing she did back at the prison to speed around, doing a few laps around them. Then speeding off ahead of them, she sighed a little bit it was pretty reckless of her but if Hikaru wanted to do that more power to her.

Rila walked alongside Ryuu and Jia Li, she then dug into her pocket and tossed the bag of coins over to Ryuu, she trusted him enough to watch over the money more than she did. "Here I think I trust you enough to watch over our bag of money." Rila said as she rubbed her arms a little bit and looked up at the sky. "So whats the plan once we get to the next town over anyway?" Rila asked.

Jia Li

Jia Li took a deep breath, attempting to keep her cool herself. The bickering between Ryuu and Yumiko was going to cause them to slow down, meaning that the odds of them being caught went up. Even if that didn't occur, infighting never boded well for a newly formed group. Their only connection thus far was that they had escaped from the same prison together. There was no reason beyond survival for Ryuu and Yumiko to get along, but that should have been enough in her opinion. Her eyes watched as the young airbender went off rapidly and she returned her attention to Ryuu and Yumiko. No one else in the group was saying anything about this, so Jia Li figured it fell on her shoulders to get to the bottom of this.

"Before we continue any further, we need to talk about the flying bison in the room," Jia Li said, pausing in her walk. "You two do not need to like each other - but you need to be able to work together. Our odds of survival and evading capture increase in the group. Once we hit the next village, then we can go our separate ways... But until we get to that point, be civil. If you can't speak to each other and be civil, then don't speak at all," she told them plainly, leaving no doubt that this was an order and not a request.
