Why would I want to get a BioWare game where I can't awkwardly flirt with and bone a lifeless yes doll.

Andromeda (and probably Anthem) is Bioware doing this to it's customers. Meta, I know.

Ace Combat 7 was classic AC. Didn't innovate at all just kept the same arcadey shit we are all wanting. Might even turn me into one of these:

At least in Andromeda I could haze zero gravity bone zones. In Anthem I can pay money for some skins.

@Fabricant451

At least in Anthem the barebones barely interactive storyline with poor dialogue and uninteresting characters to tie together long set pieces of repetitive combat is intentional. Who says Bioware doesn't evolve?

The Last of Us 2
Hopefully it drops this year. The story for the first was great and the multiplayer was absolutely amazing. Probably the most addictive thing I've played and definitely underrated. I sincerely hope whatever changes they bring to the mode doesn't change how it plays at it's core.

Skull and Bones
Cause I'm a sucker for pirates, I loved AC4 for it's naval gameplay (and story) and I have fond memories of forcing convincing my siblings to play Pirates of the Caribbean Online with me when that was a thing. I also miss Black Sails.

Death Stranding
Since PT, I've been interested in what strange worlds are imagined from the minds of Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro. Silent Hills would have been my dream come true but unfortunately it was cancelled. Then this was announced in 2016 and it's had my attention every since. Although it looks like del Toro is only providing his likeness for one of the characters in the game, the atmosphere, setting and characters still have me engaged. Probably more a 2020 release.

The Division 2
Despite the reception the original received on release, I still found the game enjoyable. Ultimately it came down to me personally having the most fun when supporting my team. I managed to put together an extremely effective tank build and would spend hours carrying players through that week's challenge mission and reaping rewards being as helpful as I could. I enjoyed the skills, survival mode was fun, some customization available to tailoring your class was appreciated and the aesthetic of the HUD was on point. On the other hand, the story was okay, gameplay was repetitive and PVP usually unbalanced to hell. It was far from perfect but it had it's moments. I'm mostly interested to see how they've improved the game and where the story is going. Also, it's finally fucking Summer. So tired of seeing white all over the floor and in my face and on my clothes and having to huddle by a fire.

Final Fantasy 14: Shadowbringers
I really shouldn't be excited about this as I'm still playing through Heavensward. I'm never going to catch up.

MedEvil
Yes please. I'd like to be a kid again.

My sentence structure didn't help the confusion.

Thoughts on KH3?

Are the tired to death disney story telling tropes still considered 'charming' by people approaching their 30s?

Considering the Disney stories in this are equal parts pseudo-sequels to the movies with the occasional retelling but with thematic relevance to the more important narrative I'm not sure what 'tropes' you are referring to that are specifically 'Disney story telling'. If you're just trying to stir the pot then you should mention JRPG story tropes, not Disney ones.

Anyway here are thoughts on KH3:

It is a good game. There are often too many pointless options in combat. The combat isn't quite as floaty as the other Osaka team games and bosses actually stagger and have openings like they should. It is fantastic visually. Only two of the worlds aren't fun to explore and play through. The music is fantastic. There are smart changes to the way Keyblades work since you can equip three of them and they are all easily upgradeable so you're encouraged to pick some to suit your playstyle or mess around instead of just always going for the biggest number or the most useful ability. Party member A.I. is actually good this time. The first three quarters of the story exists to find new ways to deliver information that is already known to old players while doing little to actually make it newbie friendly; the last hours of the game are Kingdom Hearts in all its wonderful glory - take it as you will. The lack of a colisseum sucks but there's a substitute that's not as good. There aren't any Final Fantasy characters unless you consider all the Nomura OCs to be FF characters and at this point why wouldn't you. It really sucks that they call Remy 'Little Chef' the whole time but I guess it makes sense because rats can't talk human words even though ducks, dogs, and mice can. In terms of world design it is the best game, in terms of story it's...the best game but only if you're genuinely a fan of the story and its colorful cast, overall it's the second best game in the entire franchise which isn't bad considering the long wait.

I've played the series ever since the original released, and it's still nostalgic for me. Sure, there's more plot and references I don't get, but that's not something I hold back against the series. KH3's some goofy (pun intended) fun.
