kali smiled at elizabeth "sounds like a nice place" she said before Brandon led Elizabeth off to the dance floor. he smiled at her as they stepped on to it and he place a hand around her waist. "i promise i dont bite."he says smiling "unless you ask me too" he winked at her trying to lighten her mood.

kali sighed and watched her brother. she got up and made her way around the table towards the food. she wanted to see what was there. she passed by james and gave a shy timid smile as she went past him

Elizabeth nodded right before she was led to the dance floor. She noted the smile and almost blushed. She actually did when she felt his hand around her waist like that. She noticed the wink and blushed again. She managed a nod.
"o...ok."
She glanced down.

James blinked. He noticed Kali near him when she was looking at the food. He gave a polite nod in greeting. He gave a faint smile.
"There is some raw meat next to the prime rib. If you're not up for that, they have some animal blood bags near the fruit punch."

Ari thought Elizabeth was wonderful, but hadn't expected her to become the center of attention. Having so many others around made her worry about her secret being discovered. "I'm Ari. It's a pleasure to meet both of you." She smiled kindly and glanced a bit warily at James- he was staring pretty intently- before answering Elizabeth. "Of course I came back? I did say I was just getting food." She tried to seem calm... and normal. As they spoke she listened quietly, munching on shrimp as she watched her new friend be whisked away to dance.

"you dont get many compliments do you?" he asked as he lead them around the dance floor. "or are you just use to them?" he asked curiously.

kali looked at James "oh..um thank you" she said as she stumbled over her words a bit. she curtsey at him "im kali" she says as she came back up and glanced at the food.

eric looked behind him. He saw ari in the distance. He gave a slight wave.

Elizabeth blinked. she shook her head no both times. she blushed a bit...again. She continued to follow his lead around the dance floor. She had never been asked to dance before, or anything like that either.

James nodded.
"I'm james."
He gave her a faint smile. He bowed his head a bit out of respect.

he leans down and whispers in her ear "the color suits you" his breath warm against her skin as he straightened back up with a smile. once the song was done he took her hand "you danced divine Elizabeth" he says as he walked her back to her seat.

kali had a small smile "james pleasure to meet you" she says to him. "can i ask you why you were staring at the table I was sitting at?" she asked him

Elizabeth blushed redder when he whispered in her ear like that. She bit her lip. She almost shifted into another form again. She managed not to do so. She felt him hold her hand again. She barely managed a nod as he walked her back to her seat. She kept glancing at him. She moved a strand of hair out of her face with her free hand.

James nodded.
"it is nice to meet you too."
He blinked. He frowned.
"I am sorry. but, I overheard and got curious."

she tilted her head slightly "curious? to what?" she asked him then placed a few things on her plate.

Brandon watched her and his lips ticked up to the side. "you are very beautiful as well" he told her "is there anything i can get you to drink since i noticed your friend bring you food" he said to her

Ari noticed Eric waved at her and waved back with a polite smile. Why am I so on edge? I did come here to meet new people... No more being shy! She walked up to Eric gracefully, giving him a light curtsey. "Mind if I join you over here?" She asked.

James looked at her. He shrugged.
"I'm not really sure."
He was being honest.

Elizabeth blinked. Before she could blush, she quickly looked away. When he asked her if he could get her something to drink, she shrugged a bit.
"It doesn't matter.'

Eric blinked. He shrugged.
"I suppose. But, I am mainly just greeting guests among other things."

she gave a light giggle and smiled at him. "so have you been to. many balls?" she asked him.

"im beginning to think i make you nervous" brandon says to her as he stood beside her. he glanced around looking for his sister and saw her talking to a male near the food. then he turn his attention back to elizabeth. "well it does matter if i dont bring you back something you dont like" he says "so what do you like to drink?" he asked

Elizabeth shook her head.
"not you. I've just....never really been to parties like this, or been complimented and such."
She glanced at him when he mentioned drinks again.
"just...fruit punch I guess."
She really did not care about the drink.

James shrugged a bit. He gave a faint smile.
"I've been to a fair share of them. But, none were like this annual affair."
He chuckled slightly.

Ari nodded. "Well... It was such a pleasure to be greeted by you, perhaps I wanted to try it, too." She attempted to tease him a bit, moving to stand next to him as he continued. He was a kind host; she wanted to thank him for having her there yet couldn't find the words.

"well i thought a beauty like you would be invited to them all" he says to her. "excuse me i will go and fetch you a drink" he says. he also wanted to check on his sister. he walks away towards the food to the drink.

kali smiled "this is my first time being at one. i dont know what to expect" she says shyly. she noticed Brandon heading her way and looks at James.

Eric nodded. He gave a faint smile. He was as nice as he possibly could be.
"Very well then."

Elizabeth blushed some more at that. She nodded and watched him leave. She took a breath. She tried to calm herself while she waited for his and even his sisters' return.

James nodded.
"well, you already have a friend here."
He gave a faint smile. He blinked when he spotted her brother.

Ari remained silent for awhile as he was greeting guests. After a moment of hesitation, she spoke again. "So, are you used to throwing parties as grand as these? I do not believe I have ever heard of so many... cultures gathering together. It really has been fun."

kali looked at james and smiled "Thank you" she says to him "so how long are you staying?" she asked him.

Brandon walked up to his sister and looked at James "how are you Kali?" he asked
kali looked at Brandon "oh im doing just fine" she says to him she looks at james "care to join us at our table?" she asked James.

Brandon nodded and went and got some punch then went back to the table. he smiled at Elizabeth. "miss" he says to her as he set the drink by her on the table.

John had nodded, and in a voice similar to one of someone gurgling water, "Yes, I'd like to be shown the room first, I'll try to find my own way to the ballroom." John's voice had pretended to make an English voice to make it sound 'fancy' or just mocking it.

Eric looked at Ari.
"It has been a tradition here at the manor, and for my family, for a very very long time."
He looked at John and nodded. He had a maid show him to his room. 'this way'she told john and led the way. Eric would watch them leave for a moment before looking at Ari again. He gave her a faint smile.

James shrugged.
"The ball will last for quite a few days. I intend to stay for the duration unless circumstances prevent it."
He gave brandon a nod before looking at kali again. he nodded.
"alright. I suppose I shall join you."
He gave her a faint smile and would follow her to the table.

Elizabeth blinked. she saw that brandon had returned. She saw him put the glass down and she nodded. She spoke in a quiet voice.
"thank you."

she smiled as she walked back to the table and went to sit down. "so how does this one compare to others you have been too james?" she asked and took a bite of her food.

"you are quite welcome" he told her. he takes a seat near her and leans in. "so your a siren" he says as more of a comment in a whispered voice no one elae could hear.
