@eclecticwitch I know I'm late but I still find her backstory to be over the top and she should, regardless of "leaving the past behind" should definitely have some scars to present day. It just really doesn't add up with your quotes and personality section thus far. This is an RP where you can't just have such things like you had happened to Bobbi just go without any type of consequences. It's not a fashion accessory. lol
You should probably do some research on former drug addicts and how they got off, and more research into children that were sexually abused. I mean I like the idea of a former drug addict (especially when the first plot involves drugs) but not everything adds up to me. I just think everything would add up if you removed some of the more melodramatic aspects to her backstory.
Now, onto her power; I like the idea of the void being a family heirloom and how it's a bit more consistent now... I just think that the powerset is a bit messy now. So she has dimensional reach which allows her to store objects and the void which allows her to pull strange objects out of thin air? Why don't you just combine both powers together under the title "The Void" or w/e? It would make it more cohesive. You can probably PM this to me but I also want a clear description of what the Void is because right now it sounds pretty... all over the place. Especially since it can apparently strength her?
This is an RP where you can't just have such things like you had happened to Bobbi just go without any type of consequences. It's not a fashion accessory.
This. If not to strengthen your character immensely then out of respect for those among us who have suffered similar hardships in life. Not saying you're intending to treat it like an accessory of sorts or that you're even doing this, but it's always been a real pet peeve of mine to see characters with monumental character struggles simply tacked on. It's unfortunate that so many people do/did it. Throwback to 2012 when I was learning. I do not miss those days.

Jean is an elf-like young woman, thin and willowy, standing only about 5'5". Long blonde hair frames her face and hangs down her back. She often ties it up into a ponytail for convenience, as her hair is naturally somewhat matted. She often has an expression of contemplation or as if she is lost and uncertain. Her watery aquamarine eyes glisten in the sunlight like the surface of a spring. She has freckles, but no piercings or tattoos exist on her body. A few bitemarks reside on her forearms. Her parents have often remarked that she got her looks from her grandfather, ironically.
Generally speaking, Jean has a rather basic sense of fashion. Slim jeans and an t-shirt is enough for her, though he may adorn a light flowy dress or a pair of overalls when she trying to focus on something. Her "Lucky Overalls" as she calls them. Jean also likes wearing oversized sweaters with eclectic patterns and stitchings. She finds that tight shirts are uncomfortable against her lithe frame. Additionally, she has a pair of reading glasses she keeps on her at all times. But no matter what she may be wearing, she always wears a gold locket around her neck with a picture of her cat, Sybil. This cat was very special to her, so this locket is very special to her.

Singing; Jean has a really beautiful singing voice, something she discovered and developed since a very young age. Her parents would often boast about her singing to their peers, saying that she sounds like an angel, but Jean was always too shy to pursue something so attention grabbing. However, she does enjoy singing in her spare time, humming to herself when lost in thought or focusing on something. It's kind of become a habit.
Extra-Ordinary To be quite frank, Jean is somewhat boring. She doesn't have any really amazing skills or talents. She's not notably smart or super athletic or multilingual. Aside from her singing, she kind of regrets the fact that she doesn't have much else going for herself. Nothing super noteworthy or particularly useful. I guess being mundane could be a skill, but, who wouldn't want to be multitalented.
▼ | BACK STORY : |
About the only interesting thing about Jean is that she is rich. And the only reason she is rich, is because her parents were rich. But aside from that, she was never anything special, just a sheltered rich girl who lived in one of the penthouse suites of the Celestina High Rise in the heart of the Charity Beach inner city. She's an only child. A miracle baby, as her parents called her. Her mother was having complications during her pregnancy. Their family physician believed that a successful birth was less than 15%. Well, wasn't he wrong. They felt blessed to have a child, any breathing entity that her father could claim as his junior, hence her name. But their baby girl was never really good at anything. They tried to get her into piano, ballet, and theater, none of which she showed an affinity for.
She was homeschooled from day one, but even her grades were below-average. She was grateful for her life. She had seen enough documentaries and late-night specials to understand that she was more fortunate than most others. But she was always so lonely. No real friends to speak of and no siblings to play with or even fight with. She envied the kids she'd watched on television, big households with an infectious camaraderie, that she couldn't help but cry at the idea of having a younger brother or sister of her own. There was a longing that ate away at her. Every christmas, when the christmas tree was surrounded by a sea of presents, her only wish to Santa was for a younger sibling.
And then her parents got her a cat. A siamese cat she named Sybil after her favorite singer, Sybil Lovejoy. Oh this cat was a godsend to her. She grew up with this cat, who became just as much a part of their household as any younger sibling might have. But Jean understood that the prospects of a younger sibling were slim to none at this point and as she got older, she seemed to care less about that. She had Sybil and that was enough for her. One night, her parents overheard her singing to her cat and were amazed that their daughter was finally good at something. Her voice was like an angel. They'd often have her sing whenever they hosted their dinner parties and get togethers at the suite, a task they had to fight tooth and nail to get her to do due to her shyness.
Sybil eventually died when Jean was in her teenage years. She convinced her parents to plan a small memorial for her cat, just the 3 of them to bury her and say some nice words. As one would expect, Jean was quite devastated at the loss of her cat. On the way to the funeral, Jean spotted a dog get hit by a car, its body lying on the sidewalk, feebly stirring. Her parents warned her not to run over to that dog, but she couldn't help it. She wouldn't check to make sure it was okay. The dog, in pain and scared, instinctively bit Jean on the arm. clamping down into her flesh. She cried out in pain, but soon realized that as the dog bit her, it's own wounds and injuries were healing. Once it regained its strength, it whimpered regretfully and ran off.
That night, her mother revealed to her and her father that she herself was a metahuman, grabbing Jean's arm and healing the dog bite with her own healing powers, though, her powers came with the added side effect of causing her intense pain, equal to the pain of the wound that she healed, hence why she rarely used it. Since that revelation, Jean became much closer to her mother. Her entire family actually became much closer. Years later, she would miraculously run into the stray dog once again while heading back to her college dorm at Charity Beach University. They had a strange connection. She remembered the dog somehow and it seemed to remember her as well. She took the dog in to live with her at the university, where she currently resides, naming him Lucky. But here she is. Living a rather mundane college life away from her parents. Not that she minded living with them of course, but she just felt that it was time for her to get out on her own. Forge her own path. You know?
Side note, she's currently in school studying to be a Vet.

▼ | POWER CLASSIFICATION : |
Type-Yellow
▼ | POWER DESCRIPTION : |
Psioplasmic Bio-Field; Jean's body generates a psioplasmic bio-field, increasing her durability. The field extends six inches from any point on her body. This field constantly surrounds her body at every given moment, completely invisible, and only takes on a glass-like translucency when she activates it. The field reacts to kinetic impact, energy signatures, certain intrusive psionic forces(like mind reading), temperature changes, etc. The bio-field is an extension of Jean's body, so she feels the attack as its effect is dispersed over the field, to varying levels of discomfort and pain.
She can exert control of her field to expand it outward, allowing her to create a larger radius of protection, such as for protecting other people near her. Her physician theorized that her field functions like an exoskeleton.
Heal Bite; Special enzymes reside under her skin, allowing those that bite her to heal their wounds. Stronger or longer bites heal more serious injuries, though in doing so, leaves a semi-permanent bite mark that takes years to fade.
▼ | LIMITS : |
Psioplasmic Bio-Field; Enough trauma to her field can temporarily "shatter" it. Her field is more effective against conventional methods of kinetic trauma like bullets, but would shatter more easily from the abilities of a metahuman, for instance, it would probably shatter after a few blows from a metahuman with super-strength.
Her field becomes temporarily inactive when she is healing someone through Heal-Bite, meaning she has no protection while healing someone, as neither can function simultaneously.
Heal Bite; She unfortunately cannot use this power to heal herself. She can only heal one person at a time.
▼ | WEAKNESSES : |
Some bite marks are permanent, typically bite marks that have healed someone from a life-threatening injury. Healing of this magnitude would also incapacitate her.
Because her field extends 6 inches from her body in its default state, that 6-inches of space between the field and her body is often considered her vulnerable spot where no protection is provided. If anything or anyone bypasses the field before she activates it, it would do her harm. Her field don't seem to have much resistance against the effects of empathy based blue-type metahumans, as they're ability to perceive and feel her emotions isn't as intrusive as a telepath forcibly trying to read her thoughts or memories.

@Aeolian I think her character is okay, I like it actually... her power on the other hand's gonna need some clarification. Mainly
Her power is mostly subconscious, meaning it protects her from harm whether she wants it to or not, or is aware of the incoming threat or not. However, she can consciously activate her field herself if she is aware of a threat that her field has yet to detect.
Which is near immediately contradicted by...
The field does not activate for threats it does not "know," since her power is mostly instinctive. For instance, Jean knows touching a rose thorn is bad, but her field would not automatically protect her from contact with it. The same goes for people who may pose a threat to her, but don't behave in a way that signals that they are trying to cause her body or mind immediate harm. In this way, it is possible to "trick" her field to bypass it. Enough trauma to her field can temporarily "shatter" i
Sooooooooooo which is it? lol
I believe it might be more sensical in my opinion that she has to percieve something as a threat rather than an omnipotent magic shield. But, on the other hand, I'd be okay with it being able to sense threats if I known how much the shield could take or how fast it could manifest.
Good Points, I guess for simplicity sake, we'll just make it so she has to perceive something as a threat and activate the field herself instead of the "omnipotent magic shield" thing. :P
Here it is, I can make edits as needed, since this is version 1.0. Powers were a bit weird to write since even though I love playing with technopacy, does that mean I'm an expert with it? Hell to the no. I legit did not touch power wiki when working on this, lmao. Feedback is of course, welcome.

Drakos Energy and Mining Consortium. A name well known for their holdings all over the world, and for their often ruthless yet fair business practices, the Drakos family didn't get to where they were without being smart, shrewd, and careful. While the claim that they are descended from a noble line is up for dispute at any time, what isn't in dispute is their grip on the world economy in mining and energy production, and rumors of dirty dealings in certain less than reputable fields. Or at least, that was the case until REAPER took a bat to their operations in Europe, Asia, and especially Africa, crippling the organization about a decade ago. Even with their various connections, the blow was massive, as while Asia was a new market, Europe was the old home(minus Britain, that survived unscathed surprisingly), and Africa was one of their more profitable areas. Left reeling, the family was forced to call in old favors, to keep the business afloat, but as of the present, are back on their feet, if short the same funding they used to have, but they're slowly recovering lost areas.
Enter the Rockwoman, the young heiress to the family fortune, and considered to be the future. Groomed for much of her life, she was only 12 when the terror attacks against the family left them in grave danger. Forced to cut corners in certain areas, she went from being effectively one of the richest private school children types, to a home schooled lifestyle. This even extended to her post high school schooling, as she was forced to work from home, taking the needed classes online, only being allowed to go out if she absolutely had to, and even then, there was always more than a few guards. Some of whom were former British and Icelandic Intelligence, apparently.
With her father leading the family business, Serene spent most of her life overall without anyone to call a parental figure, being that she was raised almost exclusively by her bodyguards, or her family members who could be trusted. Sure, just because your family is rich and powerful, or was, doesn't mean everyone gets along. If she absolutely did look up to anyone, it was her grandmother, the former company leader, who had been behind the Africa expansions, and who had thus taken the attacks personally. Point is, Serene grew up in a rather "unhealthy" environment. Emotions had to be placed aside, it was iron clad approaches. When she wasn't studyng, she was working in the lab with other scientists, yet treated as an outsider by her workmates due to her status as the boss's daughter. It wasn't easy.
Then the accident happened. As part of their efforts to become masters of the mining industry again, someone in the family(probably uncle Vlad, it would explain his locked in a mental hospital status now) had the totally idiotic, illegal, and immoral brilliant idea of messing around with the very crystals that had sparked the whole Metahuman existence in the first place. And why, pray tell, would they do that? It was believed that if they could harness the power of the crystals, they could, as Uncle Vlad himself said "create a stable source of energy that can be used to mimic powers and aid us." In other words, try and use the energy of the crystals in machinery, or to produce various end results, like asteroid mining. And well, despite how dangerous the project was, especially if they got caught...it worked.
...Just not as intended. During a routine test, something went awry, and Serene, the closest to the currently being tested Crystal, was exposed with a lot of energy. She was 19. As soon as the dust settled and they could get close to her, she was at once transported to the on sight medical facility at the Rocktech main complex, where it was discovered that much to everyone's relief, she was fine. Well, fine and now a Meta-human. A type-blue to be exact, judging by the energy readings. Of course, no one knew what exactly she'd gained for powers, and her father was...pissed. The scientists involved were lucky to keep their jobs, but they were moved to a different division of the family business, and Uncle Vlad...was locked up in a mental ward, his punishment for his dumb idea. Serene ended up more isolated than before, she was kept under constant monitoring, until eventually, she snapped.
No, she didn't go insane, but she literally snapped at someone, losing her temper during one of the needle prods. It was then that her powers manifested, in the form of an electronic wheelchair comng to life and running into the scientist who had pissed her off. Thankfully...he only had a broken leg after, but well, now they knew what she was. She was a type-blue with some sort of tech powers. By the time she was 22, enough tests had been run to make her feel a true lab rat, but it had been determined her present limitations and well, some weaknesses. On the flip side, her father had let her move around the lab, and do paperwork. She was being seen less as a freak by her co-workers, and more as a person again.
This brings us to the present. Having at least finished with an online degree in business, and her smattering of knowledge in various tech areas, Serene was given a rather simple set of tasks. The first, go to Charity Beach and arrange a contract with a client, that would hopefully catapult the family closer to their master plan of regaining their status, and on the flip, a PR move to do something about the Happiness Drug ring. Is she ready for this? Unlikely, but hey, that's life. Hopefully her lack of social skills won't work against her too much.

"Money talks, but so does being able to control robotic fists and drones. Please, you already shit your pants, don't embarrass yourself further, and stand down."
▼ | POWER CLASSIFICATION : |
Type-Blue
▼ | POWER DESCRIPTION : |
You'd think being able to control or influence something would fit under a different type, but there's something...a lot more mental when it comes to controlling technology in this manner. Serene, via using her brain waves, can influence technology around her, and force it to bend to her will. She can turn on objects at a distance, turn them off, force them to do what she wants, or even merge pieces of technology together to complete one task. So long as she doesn't go overboard, there's a lot she can do, in theory, she could even make new constructs after a point without having to merge techs together.
▼ | LIMITS : |
While technopacy in any form is absurdly powerful and often broken when within urban environments, there's a number of factors that limit Serene. The first is complexity. The more complex the construct is, the more effort she has to expend, and less time she can control it for, before she runs out of juice and has to relax, and also forces her to be closer. In the case of really complex machines, she has to be physically interfacing with them(for example, she can unlock a door by pointing at it and making a gesture, but if something is super unfamiliar, she may have to touch it, and follow the electrical signals). Additionally, if she's working with something too complex, this may force her to focus only on it and it alone, lacking the ability to properly multitask. While this can be overcome, its still a dangerous factor. Her overall aversion to loud noises and certain stimuli also limit her, making it difficult for her to control her powers. Finally, while she can control at range, her current range is five meters, though this could expand over time, and the further out, the less control she'll have(or rather more effort that has to be exerted to control something).
▼ | WEAKNESSES : |
Technopacy requires a medium through which to work, otherwise a piece of metal is useless. Electrical energy must be capable of flowing through it, to thus be influenced by brainwaves. Lead can block the signal, making it possible for her to expend energy without anything happening. Too much strain can force her to "brownout" or suffer a seizure type situation, where she passes out and has to recover. Too much dividing up of her focus can cause an opponent to catch her with her guard down. And currently, if you throw a train at her, she can't stop it. So yeah. Jamming her ability to focus her brain waves, either through sound, or other factors, can seriously mess her up.

▼ | BACK STORY : |
Grey doesn’t know their birth parents. All they know is that they were born Gregory Alberts in Fairfax, south of DC, and at a young age was left at an orphanage. Few memories of this time exist in Grey’s head, only vague shadows: a crib in the corner of a beige room, a white teddy bear with one eye missing, falling on the asphalt and tearing a bloody gash across their knee. It fits, then, that Grey doesn’t remember contacting the crystal that gave them their powers. At the age of four, Greg was adopted by a young lesbian couple; Leanne and Tanya Jackelwitz. They took Greg back to Ellicott City, Maryland, where they grew up. Leanne and Tanya were artsy people. Leanne was an elementary school teacher who painted on the weekends, while Tanya was an english professor at a local college and a published poet. They lived a comfortable middle-class life in an old stone row house in Old Ellicott City.
Greg had a rough childhood growing up in the 90s. Greg’s parents were extremely liberal, rejecting the role of gender roles in clothing, and Greg themselves had a very peculiar sense of dress for a boy their age. Greg would go to school wearing pink clothing or girl’s skirts and they’d be bullied for it by their schoolmates. In 4th grade, another boy in class beat Greg up, leaving him with a black eye and several bruises. When they got home, Tanya taught Greg how to throw a punch. A week later, after the bully had come back from suspension, Greg, oversized sunglasses covering their bruised eyes, walked up to the bully, and stood there for a long time, staring ahead, breath raspy and hands shaking.
“What do you want, pussy?” the bully said. Greg couldn’t speak. Their eyes teared up. The bully laughed.
“What, cat got your skirt?” the bully replied. He grabbed Greg by the shit and threw them to the ground. Greg got back up, stood in front of the bully once more, and once more was thrown to the ground. They remembered what Tanya had taught them: square up, push through them, don’t hold back. Greg lifted his fist. The bully put his arms to his sides and puffed out his chest, smiling a shit-eaten grin as he watched Greg fail to throw a punch.
After that, nobody messed with Greg, but they still didn’t have any friends. Quite the opposite, it made things worse. Not long after, Greg’s moms got a knock at the door from a bald man in a tan jacket. He introduced himself as an agent of NEST, a government organization who oversaw metahuman affairs and protection. He talked to Greg and his parents for a long time, about schools where metahumans could learn about their powers, safe from outside influence. Ultimately, Greg and their parents declined. Instead, a NEST agents would come to Greg’s house on weekend and teach them some basic power control abilities.
In middle school, Greg began to identify as nonbinary. This came without much resistance from their parents, but much from the school, where teachers refused to call Greg “they” instead of “he”. On his thirteenth birthday, Greg legally changed their name to “Grey”, and thus Gregory Alberts was officially gone.
In high school, Grey had a little more luck. Their high school was bigger, and thus had a larger student population. Here, Grey found their place among the theater kids, many of whom were also LGBT. While in drama club, Grey developed their love of makeup. While Tanya and Leanna had taught them the basics before, Grey began to excel. Grey had their first boyfriend in high school, a tall red-haired boy with square glasses named Michael. He was a lighting tech in the drama department and liked using big words. They had their first kiss with him in the dressing room before a performance of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. That night, Grey watched from the wings as the lights descended upon the stage from above: it was red, and green, and yellow, and brown, and blue.
Grey went to beauty school in Baltimore for a cosmetology degree after high school. While in school, they discovered Instagram and became one of the first makeup artists there, showing off their abilities. Near the end of college, Grey met Joseph. He was a violinist, long and graceful with brown hair that swept down the right side of his face and stubble across his jawline. He wore hoop earrings and v-neck shirts. They met at a recital at the Peabody institute, where Joseph went to school. After the recital, Grey struck up conversation about Joseph’s suit. They went from there to get a drink and then...well, we won’t talk about what happened then.
Grey and Joseph became inseparable. Where Grey was haughty and caught up in their own coolness, Joseph was mellow and brought them back down to Earth. Where Grey was shy and reclusive, Joseph was passionate and loud and would bring Grey safely out of their comfort zone. The two are, in fact, quite inseparable to this day. They got married in 2015. It was one of the last happy days of Grey’s life, as they’d retell it.

@Aeolian How much do you think the shield can take before it gets shattered?
While one could go through the usual tales of just where this kid came from, its a story most will know by this point, so we'll gloss over the more darker parts, save for the tales to come.
I don't get this part... this is something I believe should be elaborated on rather than just glossing pass it. Unless you plan on revealing it in IC which is fine.
Unlike most versions, Serene knows exactly every major detail of her family history. Her grandfather being a lunatic who nearly ruined everything for the dark side of their fortune, to her father being the reason the mad scientist Doctor Metal met..a mysterious end, and so on. She knows this, and wears the tattoo of House Drakos with pride, the eastern dragon that strikes fear into the heart of those who know just how deep the black money goes. Despite this, she has no actual handling of the family's black fortune, preferring to keep her fingers clean for the moment.
I thiiiiiiiiink this is vague and ill-defined... I think you should better explain this paragraph to us since we're not familiar to the character or the lore you thought of for them. What is House Drakos? Why are there "Houses" in 2019? lol
It wasn't that her father feared them, but rather, he respected them, having been forced to kill more than a few in his career, and fight alongside still more
So wait, is her father Professor Drake or Doctor Metal?
Of course this was what what Serene wanted. In this case, she dipped her fingers into the darkside, pulling a few strings via her grandmother's connections, to acquire the materials needed. After careful testing to confirm the serum worked, Serene had herself injected with the serum of a type-blue.

Hmm....I haven't really thought of the math behind the durability of the field, but it certainly is no ultimate defense mechanism.
If I can compare it's defensive capabilities to anything, I'd say it possesses the same level of strength as Violet's shield from the Incredibles 2. So it's quite durable, but certainly has its limits.
But to quantify it's durability before it shatters? I'm not sure. I think it's situational, but using practical reasoning to justify when it shatters and when it doesn't should be good right? Not meta-gaming it as some omni-shield essentially. Stopping a vehicle wouldn't shatter it, but stopping a continuous onslaught of bullets would eventually shatter it. Just depends on the force and how powerful and/or persistent that force is against her.
Hope I clarified it as best as I could. If you have a certain limit you have in mind, I don't mind adhering to it.

@Ruler Inc The reason I noted green/blue was mainly because I couldn't recall which was the actual eye color for the FC. As for merging, it would require her to actually understand both pieces, and take the time needed to merge them, which really just means connecting them together and hoping they work. I can, however, remove that with ease. Professor Drake is her dad, Doctor Metal the bad guy. Sorry if that wasn't too clear. As for bio details overall regarding glossed over stuff, I was going to cover that in actual rp, to avoid spoilers if needed. I can change house to family, its just a term to refer to the blacker side of the family business. With serums, I can fix that up, the impression you gave me on Discord awhile back was that the serums worked fine, but if there's a big issue, I can adjust that, to say having her be a naturally born metahuman, or found a way to gain powers safely. As for the fists, that was more tongue in cheek, as being able to well, generate something like that would require more training than she had at that point in the biography. If having that as a statement that isn't yet indicative of IC stuff is an issue, I can replace it to something else, perhaps referencing something else that could make a person shit themselves.
If you'd like, we ca always move this to Discord to talk more at length. I'm fine with changing or elaborating as needed. Truth be told, I was running on fumes when I wrote that up last night, so me missing something, big or small, isn't too surprising. I just wanted to get the initial version up, so you could tear it apart and I repair accordingly. You tore it up a lot less than I expected, but enough to give me clear areas to work with. Like I said, if certain things are major enough an issue, I'm completely fine with rewriting entire sections as needed. If there's something else you said that I somehow failed to address, whoops. Thanks for the feedback though.
@Aeolian Violet's shield in Incredibles was, as Junk's video demonstrates, powerful enough to stop a multi-ton robit.
So it's basically strong enough to be immune to everything the cast can throw at it. Stopping a speeding car is fucking strong as a car is a lot of speed and weight flying at you.
Personally I think while surviving an onslaught of bullets would be fine, a 50. cal should shatter it no question. I think it should be impervious to conventional damage ala a punch from a professional heavyweight boxer and pistols, but weak against the superhuman such as Henry should be able to destroy it after a few blows.
Here is a quick rundown of our antagonists for the Happiness arc
♦ The Boyz ♦
A gang of outcasts and freaks that the city didn't want, forming their own gang. The Boyz are a gang of drug dealers and other petty criminals that have a pretty large presence in Charity Beach. They are not racist in their recruitment as they have people from all races in their ranks and their leader wants outcasts, whatever they are. Their gang is primarily comprised of crazy drug addicts but some teenagers and other folks have taken to their philosophy and joined their gang. Their gang symbol is a smiley face a big toothy grin and the eyes crossed out with X's. The Boys modus operandi is to get rich by selling drugs and become the biggest force in the city for the downtrodden. Their leader is Joy-Boy, a Metahuman with an unknown ability, and he maintains a loose leadership through his three generals (or "Dragons" as he calls them). He asserts that every member of the Boyz proves themselves before they may join, and once they are an official and trusted member they get a mask of their own creation - usually a smiley face. They were a pretty small-time gang/fad until they started distributing the Happiness drug and were able to quickly expand territory. The Boyz now have a large chunk of the city under their control and it's getting larger with more Metahumans joining their ranks. FAMA, the CPPD, and other law enforcement is preparing to move in on The Boyz, but Joyboy has prepared for war.
Now is a good time to start planning on your characters and what they will do during the Happiness Crisis. For example, Kashmira will be aiding addicts in her hospital and trying to figure out what tf is going on. I am also going to work on a relationship sheet so we can work out any existing relationships.
Also I dropped Sierra to replace her with a brand new character

The young explosively energetic woman is Amanda Blackmore, who usually walks with a skip to her step and is willing to strike a pose on the dot. Yeah, it's easy to tell from her demeanor that she's a drama queen. Much like her older brother, Drake; she is a ball of energy, but her energy is more childish. She's very easily excitable and doesn't try too hard to hide her emotions. Now, in terms of Amanda's body-type, she is very skinny and well-toned with the body of a gymnast - because she is one. Her body is kept fit through stretches and other exercises such as jogging and hitting the gym. She worked hard for her flat stomach. She has an hour-glass build with wide hips but a thin waist. She doesn't know how she does it, but she has quite a big chest at 38F and a nice butt she got from hitting the gym. It's like what far that she should have goes straight where it matters. Amanda doesn't have any bulging muscles, however, and that's one thing that she works on. Amanda has plenty of scars from gymnast related injuries and other such events. Amanda has a couple of tattoos, that she has gotten recently. On her right shoulder she has a dragon that goes all the way down to her elbow. Right in between her breasts she has the tattoo of a sun and moon. Right on her back, that encompasses her entire back, is a tattoo of flaming wings. Finally, she has a tattoo of a phoenix on her left shoulder. In terms of race; Amanda is part British and part Japanese, with her father supplying the British, and her mother giving her the Japanese. She leans on her father's side of the family looking no different from a regular white woman at first glance until you look at her eyes. They are somewhat slanted, but she still identifies as a Caucasian woman. Her hair is a black color and it's straight, she keeps it in a long ponytail.

▼ | SKILLS : |
Gymnastics Champion ⫻ Since Amanda was young, she competed in gymnastic competitions and came home with several awards for doing so. She's extremely nimble, flexible, has exceptional balance, and looks good in a leotard. Though, she hasn't practiced or participated in a gymnastics tournament in God knows how long, she practiced so hard that the skills that she has learned stick.
Automechanic ⫻ Amanda always had a thing for fast cars and that reflected in her career choice. Amanda learned how to work on cars from one of her friends and eventually took classes in the field and was officially certified. She knows how to field diagnose cars and can even fix cars on the fly provided that she has the parts (and even if she doesn't, she has Macgyvered before).
Roller-Skater ⫻ Amanda loves to roller-skate, even in her adult years. Even though it's a childish activity, she likes to roller-skate down the streets of Black Fall. She would love to roller-skate in Charity Beach.
Guitarist ⫻ It's probably her weakest skill, but Amanda has taken guitar classes, and knows how to play a few songs but don't expect her to be a master at it.
▼ | BACK STORY : |
Amanda has a similar backstory to her older brother Drake; their father, Adam, was a British immigrant who fled the nation due to hostilities towards Metahumans and met his love, Lisa Fujimoto, and the two fell in love and started the family. First came Victoria, then Drake, then yours truly, and then Charles. Adam was a high-ranking member of RAVEN when it was around, considered to be the best, and made sure the Blackmores could live comfortably. And out of all the Blackmores she was probably the closest to their father, and she always considered herself daddy's little girl. She was always going to him for questions and asking him for guidance and she was the one that was hit the hardest when he had to go away for his RAVEN missions. Of course, this meant that Amanda fell into spirals of depression when he was gone. For comfort, Amanda went to sweets and other such goods, in order to make it easier and what happened was that she gained a lot of weight throughout the years. She was mocked and bullied throughout school for being so overweight, that she was almost afraid to go out.
Of course, she wasn't alone, she had the support of her many siblings that helped her get through school but she wanted more. She wanted to improve herself and lose this weight, so that's what she did. She lost the weight through exercise and eating right... in addition taking up gymnastics. It was originally something that her gym teacher suggested that'd help her lose weight, that she immediately took up as a passion. Amanda saw it as something that came naturally to her as riding a bike, and even though she was overweight, she loved it. Once she lost all of her weight in about a year, she decided to take it seriously. She forgone social events to practice either alone or at the gym, and because of that dedication she came home with trophy after trophy. Even if she didn't win, she gained the motivation to win.
What she didn't realize was that she was the second Blackmore, surprisingly enough, to actually manisfest an ability. Without the need for a traumatic event or somewhat to occur. The first power she received was telekinesis, that she received from her other sister Victoria, whom jokingly hit her with a book using telekinesis. Suddenly, Amanda could move stuff with her mind and found it seriously friggin cool! THe first thing that Amanda did was dick around with it, pulling pranks on people throughout her school. Mainly picking on her gymnast rival from school, but after Victoria warned her that she could lose all of her trophies if it got out, she decided to stop.
After moving up to high school she met her sweetheart, Matthew Detmer, and suddenly everything changed for her. She got to know him, and they started hanging out, starting out as friends but the more they hung out the more Amanda realized that she had growing affections for him. One day, she decided to let it all out and admit that she had feelings for him that he returned. Though, it was difficult for Amanda to balance gymnastics, which she was still very passionate about, and her relationship with Matt. What threw another wrench in her home life was her relationship with her cousin, Nikki. You see, Lisa wasn't the only Fujimoto, there was also Pamela who went on to marry a man named Kota Watanabe and birth two children, Micheal and Nikki Watanabe. Due to the strained relationship between Lisa and Pamela, the two families rarely met, but Amanda was the only one with a close tie to their family, namely Nikki.
The two hung out a lot, even though they were completely opposite people and eventually Nikki manifested with the Chromatic ability to telepathically dominate insects and alter their biology. Nikki told Amanda about her vigilante adventures all over Black Fall, and Amanda found that so friggin' cool! Out of impulse, Amanda went along with Nikki on one of these adventures and... it didn't go super well. They ran into a Metahuman criminal known as the Desert Scorpion who had an ability that rendered him almost entirely immune to both Nikki and Amanda's abilities. He could not only transform into a powerful scorpion with a shell hard enough to render him immune to Nikki's insects, but also could transform the area into a scorching hot desert. The second he activated his latter ability, he managed to track them down and he attack them. The only saving grace was that Amanda was able to copy his power so she was immune to his ability to turn the place into a desert.
The Desert Scorpion fled when FAMA showed up, but the two girls were taken into FAMA custody and were in the hospital for a few days. However, after explaining what happened; both of them were outed as Metahumans. And, as Victoria anticipated, it spelled the death of Amanda's gymnastic career. Nikki almost got thrown in jail due to this, but Adam pulled a few strings and managed to get them off easy. However, while Amanda got off easy, she was crushed by how furious Adam was upon hearing about what her daughter was doing. She disappointed daddy, and would do anything to make it up to him! Which involved going to Academy 002 in Alaska and learning how to use her powers with the rest of the Blackmore siblings. Thus, they had the time of their lives up there, meeting some of the best friends they could ever have. Learning the specifics of her power was nice, but the best part was that Academy 002 had a gymnastics team!
But, the Verthaven Disaster occurred and they learned that Adam was in the thick of it. Amanda hoped that Adam would make it out alive, but then it blew over and she learned that... Adam died in the disaster. Amanda was crushed by the events and was mentally wounded so badly that she had retreated into her dorm room for several days. Eventually, Amanda went back to Black Fall to properly grieve. Adam's funeral was the saddest day she ever had.
Around this time, the Blackmore siblings drifted apart. Victoria and Charles went on to college, Drake remained in Black Fall to sulk until he joined FAMA, and Amanda, well... after she finished the program and got her diploma she didn't know where to go. She remained in the Blackmore estate as she decided to try to move on past Adam's death and try to get a degree... but then that didn't work out too well. She then decided to go out live her early twenties to the fullest, and went out partying and doing other such things. Amanda's closest friend during these times was, again, Nikki Watanabe, and they decided to brave this brave new world without Adam together.
The gym became an outlet for Amanda, or a distraction, where she relieved all of those bad emotions that she built up over the years. After signing up for a gym not too far away from the estate, it quickly became a second home for Amanda. She got the rockin' bod that she always wanted, and then some, and enjoyed the looks from the horny guys.
Eventually, Amanda and Nikki got in touch with a girl named Nakala Phillips, a Metahuman they met in the Academy that became an automotive mechanic after passing. She was a "flying brick" so to speak, with the ability of super strength, durability, and flight, which Amanda copied quite a few times. Nakala was Amanda's closet friend while in the Program and eventually became the third member of their group of friends, and became the inspiration for Amanda's career choice. Fast cars was always something that Amanda liked, and so Nakala imparted much knowledge onto Amanda about vehicles and how they worked. It was about time for Amanda to get a job, because the money was drying up, while Drake was sending money to keep the Blackmore Estate, there was a need for Amanda to get her own. Eventually, Amanda took the classes and officially became a mechanic in the Phillips automotive garage. It was surprisingly fun, even though she had to endure casual sexism from customers - she thinks she looks sexy in overalls, though.
The routine went well, but eventually, it was time for Amanda's vacation. She heard that Matthew got a house in Charity Beach, so that's exactly where she went.

▼ | POWER CLASSIFICATION : |
Type-Green
▼ | POWER DESCRIPTION : | Reactionary Power-Replication.
Amanda has the famed Blackmore power replication ability, and like the other Blackmores she has a different form of it. Her version, known as reactionary power replication, allows her to copy powers of anyone who uses their power on them via absorbing a sample of the Metahuman energy present. For example, if she was thrown across the room by somebody with super strength she'd copy it, if a telekinetic or earthbender hit her with a rock she'd get telekinesis, or if someone with telepathy read her mind she'd gain telepathy. Whenever she copies a power her Metahuman energy will glow corresponding with the color of the power-type she just copied. She can control whether or not she wants to copy a power by merely willing it, and due to her training at 002, she won't copy powers she doesn't want. The power will mutate somewhat when she gets it, so she'll get a slightly or significantly different version of the power. Amanda only has the ability to store one power at a time, and the second she copies another power she'll lose the currently store.
Flying Brick.
A power that Amanda got from her friend Nakala, a Metahuman whom FAMA stated to be one of the strongest in Black Fall. Fortunately, Nakala has no interest beyond living her life and being an automotive mechanic. Nakala has gifted her friend Amanda her power on a variety of different occassions so Amanda knows how to use it somewhat. The power is simple, Amanda has durability, super strength, and flight, and is functionally superman at his basest level. The strongest ability has to be her durability since Amanda's cells down to the bones and skin are reinforced to the point where she could get hit with an attack that would kill her and she'd still get back up and tank small arms. This strength extends to her muscles, with her muscles being able to exert supernatural amounts of force, and allows her to lift up 750lb without straining herself and a thousand pounds at most. Finally, Amanda has the ability to fly, granted to her from the ability to use telekinesis on herself. She's able to propel herself through the air superman style and when she grabs objects this telekinetic field wraps around it - allowing her to lift up objects without having to worry about them falling apart.
▼ | LIMITS : |
Amanda, upon copying a power, has nary a clue as to how to even use it. She doesn't prefer powers that are complicated and enjoys the most straight forwards she can find. While she can choose not to copy a power, if she's hit by surprise by a power she's not aware of she'd still copy it. This is because she has to be aware and actively resisting the attempt to copy the power. In addition, there's a large number of powers that she totally can't copy at all, as she can't copy powers that only operate on a personal level. Which means regeration and such powers are out of the ballpark for her. In addition, she can only copy one power at a time.
As for the limits to her flying brick power Unless she throws something, Amanda will be restricted to close ranged combat. While she's strong, she's still limited by her stamina. Excessively lifting objects places a strain onto Amanda, like average humans her muscles will tire out after doing a lot of work. It's rather easy for her to overexert herself and burn out. Fighting at full strength isn't exactly ideal. While Amanda is tough as nails, she still feels pain and punching too hard can hurt her hand. Her durability mostly prevents physical attacks from hurting her, elemental (Specifically Energy based) attacks are effective against her. Getting set on fire isn't pleasant (Her blood might boil!), electricity would knock her out, and etc. And, you know, she still needs air.
▼ | WEAKNESSES : |
The primary weakness of Amanda is that, even if she's copying powers that are used on her, they still hurt. If she was set on fire by a pyromancer she'd still be burned before copying their power. If Amanda is badly beaten enough she'd lose her power and she'd have to start over again. Other than that, she gets the weaknesses of the original, too. In the case of Nakala's power, she's not familiar with the ability as Nakala is, and doesn't quite know her own strength. That doesn't bother Amanda when she's fighting but it's a pain in the ass when you rip the door off its hinges for the nineteenth time in a week. When Amanda uses her strength, then she has the likelihood of tearing up her bodily tissues. Which hurts and is not something she wants to do in a fight. It would also cause plenty of joint pain, and impair her healing. Amanda also doesn't have the best balance, throwing a roundhouse kick is just as likely to knock herself over. Finally, muscle is pretty heavy, and it adds to her weight and it makes her a lot heavier than most people and thus makes the whole stealth thing a lot harder.
