[IC] The Rise of the Guardian

[Jazz]

There wasn't much Ash could see besides Carth's head. "He is being treated right now. He changed to help you but it hurt and didnt look so good after. Orion and Scarlet are helping him now. But you are still in need of rest." He explains.

Orion carefully picks up the snake before heading back to Scarlet and Shinlo. When he got to them, he laid the snake on Shinlo's chest.

Ash sighed and laid back down. “I saw more the time…a black fiend…someone calling for help…”

Isis woke up and looked at Shinlo and they all heard a female voice say “what did you do? You know you can’t take your true form without me” scsrlet blinked and looked at the snake “guys..”

[Jazz]

"hmmmmm.....did you see what was happening?" Carth asks, listening carefully, ignoring for now what was going on.

Orion was just as confused, surprised to hear the female voice. The three assassins who at this point had been trying to see dinner from burning and getting cold, also looked up from what they were doing. Quite surprised themselves. "Wait. Who was that?" Kanarus asks.

"I-I think...that was the snake." Orion guesses.

Ash said “flashes…a battle field like before…dragons fighting demons…shadow monsters…”

Isis looked up and said “yes that was me. This fool pushed himself too far trying to use his magic without me close by. He can’t without draining himself. I’m half his core of magic”

[Jazz]

Carth blinked slowly. "I see. Sounds like a huge battle. Was there anything else you figured out?" He asks, wondering what else she learned.

Orion was curious. "That makes sense. For a creature, possibly another person to be half of another's magic core..."He seemed fascinated.

Ash said softly “I…I think I was there…and that…I think that battle is where all this started…”

Isis said “he gave me part of his core to hide what he truly is. It was the only way to stay safe…but from what I don’t know…”

[Jazz]

Carth tilted his head slightly. "Did you see anything that could tell us where this battle happened? A land mark of some kind we could use? Maybe if we went there, we can find out more as we go." He explains.

Orion nods, understanding what it would entail then. "Seemed to be quite serious to perform such an act. So knowing this would take a bit of time. But now that you are with him, he will recover." Orion theories.

Ash shook her head and said “just a battle field…nothing that can tell us anything…”

Isis nodded and curled on his chest. “It will take some time and he needs to stay stable for the night to recover fully”

[Jazz]

Carth hummed and gave a small nod. "i figured it might help to ask." he points out. He shifts a little to get comfortable but still tries to keep her warm. "This is interesting in a way. I wonder what the battle was about."

Orion nods. "Understood. I just gave him medicine to take care of the fever. I have another dose ready after a while."

Ash said softly “I think something invaded the dragon lands…and stole someone important to them…that’s the feeling I got…”

Isis nodded and Scsrlrt said “so Isis is his familiar?”

[Jazz]

"I see. That's awful." He says sadly. Closing his eyes, he wondered if he should sleep yet. Yet he was hungry. The inner battle
It sucked.

Orion nods. "I'm a sense. Yes."

Ash said weakly “you can go eat Carth…I’ll be okay for a bit…”

Scarlet nodded and moved up to look at Orion. “Should we take shifts? Keep an eye on these two”

[Jazz]

Carth hesitates before he nods as he looks to the group. "im going to go try and hunt something. Try."

Orion nods to confirm. "Indeed. We should all take take shifts so we all may get proper rest." He looks to the dragon then. "Stay as close as you can."

Carth then heads out of camp to try his luck.

Ash tried to move her stiff body a bit and Scarlet said “hold on Ash, you shouldn’t be moving around. Let us help.”

[Jazz]

Maltoran went over to Scarlet and Ash with two bowls. "She is right. But if you are able to sit up right. Maybe something to eat might help heal the body." He offers.

Orion sighs. "That sounds good. Not much can be done right now."

Ash nodded and tried to sit up and Scarlet said “someone support her. Give her core a break too”

[Jazz]

Kanarus came over and sat down behind Ash willing to let her use him as back support for her. Altoron gave him a bowl so he could eat too. "How's that?" Kanarus asks.

Altoron then gives Orion a bowl who thanks him.

Ash turned and smiled at him “thank you…that helps a lot.” She took her bowl and smelled the contents and smiled “smells lovely”

Scarlet sat down and said “let’s eat”

As everyone ate their fill, Carth had eventually come back still in dragon form, his head droopy as he walked into camp. "I'm back..."

Scarlet looked up and said “no luck my scaly friend?”
